Really random but I've noticed a perpetual feeling of having to pee recently. I don't think I'm drinking any more water than usual (though I am always thirsty) but even 10 minutes after I use the bathroom I feel like I have to go again. Anyone else?

Could it be a UTI? Either that or it's weak pelvic floor...

Yikes I don't think it's a UTI so maybe weak pelvic floor! Do kegels help with that?

Yup! I would definitely get checked out by your doctor though...doesn't hurt to play it safe!
I'm realizing I wish I invested in he bellefit. If I was to get one now, would it still work? I'm half tempted to buy a cheap waist trainer from Amazon. I'm just so sick of looking pregnant...
@babyfmama yeah just kind of looser and droopier than before plus there's the linea negra above and below plus just splotchy dark patches right around it on the sides too.

Yes not too late! They say you can start using them even 6+ months later and see results!
i just look fat now, not pregnant. It's hard to get used to and takes so long for me to lose weight
Idk if this should maybe go in another thread but I was wondering if other Bellefit ladies are still wearing theirs everyday. I wore it for about 2 weeks and saw my overall size go down. I can put it on without problem and wear it all day. But I'm still so damn squishy. I don't know how else to describe it. My body is like mush. Any clothing that's even remotely fitted looks yucky because I'm so soft and fleshy. Is this just something I need to fix in the gym? I'm frustrated every morning because between breastfeeding and my squishy body I don't know how to dress myself any more.
@Charla1224 I'm stil wearing mine but not all day. I probably should but I hate nursing and pumping in it. Anyhow, I'm super squishy too. I feel really good when I'm wearing it, and then I take it off and I feel like all of the fat just expands again, haha. It's lovely. I was recently cleared to exercise, so I think a lot of it is just building up muscle tone and if I'm being honest, cleaning up my diet...a lot. I can't wait to feel good about my body again!!

I didn't use one last timeuntil at least 6mo and it still helped, just not quite as fast.
I'mnot wearing it daily anymore because now my belly is pretty flat, but I'm just fat around the hips. The flabby skin is something that just takes some time. I need to workout!
I just got cleared for exercise yesterday so I'm making plans to go to the gym next week. It's kind of discouraging the level of coordination needed for me to go to the gym.
Glad to know I'm not the only one with a mush stomach. It's as if I have zero muscles under there. I'm down more than my pre-pregnancy weight but everything is just saggy and soft. So sexy...
I'm 6 weeks pp and my body looks like a mess! I gained 52 pounds during my pregnancy, went from 124 to 176 and now I'm down to 155. My belly has a little jiggly pooch now which is disgusting and my butt, hips and thighs are like jello- all this just in time for summer LOL. I still can't fit into pre-pregnancy pants because they won't go past my thighs, which is obnoxious and I have little bumps on the back of my thighs, butt and shoulders which my doctor blamed on hormones. I know I said I would never miss being pregnant, but I take that back now ha ha.
So I'm a few days past 5 weeks pp and am still having discharge. When I'm active it's pinkish/brownish and when I'm home all day it's just white and really doesn't show up on a liner. Does anyone still have this kind of thing going on?

Yup. And really wish it would stop. I just had my postpartum check up and she said everything looked good but I'd love for this last thing to disappear.

I was 6 weeks pp this past Friday and still enjoying this lol
Okay, so DH and I just tried to have sex for the first time pp, and it HURT. He got about halfway in, and we had to stop because I was almost in tears. We used a ton of lube.
Is it better to just keep going and rip it off like a band-aid? Try again in a few days? I had my 6-week check up yesterday, and I'm wondering if I am sensitive down there from that. I had a second degree tear with stitches.
I didn't have sex until I got married, and the first 6 weeks were painful. It was awful, and I started associating sex with pain. I really don't want to go through that again.

@bshurdy it really depends on where your stitches are and how your body is healing. Did they mention if you have any tissue that might need silver nitrate? My very small, 1st degree, three stitch tear with DS made sex for the first time at 10 weeks very uncomfortable. It did get better the more we did it but I would guess your body needs more time if you were in tears.

This. I had second degree tearing (and an episiotomy) and quite a few stitches (I guess baby had a huge head...). DH and I had sex 6 weeks PP and it didn't necessarily hurt as much as it was super uncomfortable and not pleasant. OB gave me some cream as I had a very tender spot of scar tissue that required a bit more healing. She said to take it easy and go at my own pace. I wish I could say we did the deed again (I'm now 7 weeks PP), but we have not. However, my tender spot feels a billion times better so I am less anxious now! Keep in mind your body is still recovering from birth, so take any extra time you need even if your OB cleared you.
When I had to have a D&C about a year and a half ago I had sex and it was pretty painful (more painful than my 6 week pp sex!). It hurt my sexual relationship with my husband as I started wincing and bearing my way through intimacy instead of enjoying it. If it still hurts, I'd wait and do what's comfortable and fun in the mean time.
Any other c-section ladies find sex to be painful? Im almost 8 weeks PP and I honestly havent had any interest in sex, but I gave it a go for my husband and used lots of lube and still found it to be painful. I don't know if it's because I wasn't super into it, or because I haven't had sex since February (yikes...I know), or if I just built it up in my head, but it was not enjoyable!

Yep. First time it hurt initially and after. We waited two weeks and tried again and it was amazing. DH gave me a shoulder massage first to help me relax, which I think helped.

I was a c-section (though I did labor for 14 hours prior, so I guess I had some swelling anyway). We tried just a few days shy of 6 weeks pp and it definitely hurt! I was really in the mood and had no dryness issues, just stretching issues.
I am a fairly petite person and I had a lot of issues losing my virginity--very very painful and took many tries over a few weeks before it stopped hurting. Then things were great. Over the years I would notice sex being more uncomfortable if I had a longer lag between (like between visits when DH and I were dating long distance). And it would always be uncomfortable (in a stretching way if that makes sense?) in the first minute or two if we didn't really take a *lot* of time before going all the way.
I honestly should have expected it to hurt the first time in about 2 months after all that...but I was surprised. And more surprised at how much it hurt. Like almost back to virgin hurt. We had to stop halfway through and I'm nervous about trying again, but want to get back to normal intimacy with DH.
I had the same issue the first time too... Felt like my virginity had grown back. Haven't attempted a second time (more for lack of opportunity - LO has not been sleeping well) but I'm nervous and will have to feel really relaxed to give it another go.

Looks like the bump deleted my response... basically I said that it felt like losing my virginity again and that I didn't really consider my 68 hour labor/failed induction and I wonder if that had an effect. Also my OB suggested having sex to avoid getting to tight or something, which I found odd but I guess it makes sense
C-section here. I actually had a 4 weeks PP check up instead of 6 weeks. I was cleared for sex but we didn't DTD until close to 6 weeks, only because DH wanted to. I don't even remember losing my virginity hurting that bad. Although it hurt less than when I had an ovarian cysts double the size of my ovary.
We've done it another time after that, it wasn't as bad but it hurt. Missionary kinda tugs at my incision area and I can feel the sensation, it's not really pleasant. Any other position, I feel self conscious so it kinda puts me out of the mood. I just don't feel sexy right now

I could have written this myself. I feel SO frumpy. B/f really limits my clothing options and I'm wearing a lot of stretchy waisted skirts with flowey nursing tops and it's just not flattering. I wear the Bellefit, but when i take it off its back to squish-city. Also, like PP, my belly button is weirdly stretched out and also has a dark splotch on it.
I had a scheduled c/s (no labor ing whatsoever) and I've been shocked at how painful sex is. We dtd at 6 weeks and it really hurt. I was so surprised as I had no laboring, so I thought it would be fine. We last had sex in probably late April. Tried again two days later with tons of lube and again major pain. I'm baffled as to why. I've gone stretches without sex and it's never hurt like this.
@vinerie Just had my pp appointment yesterday and my midwife said that I'll need to use a ton of line because the hormones from breastfeeding make you really dried out. I delivered vaginally so obviously I'll have other stuff going on from my tear repairs, but maybe just the change in hormones has a lot to do with it? That's my only insight, it will be a while before we give it a try.
@vinerie@Pascal86 Same for me with my first baby. Midwife actually recommended I wait til 3 months pp because of how dried out the tissue was. Even at 3 months and with a lot of lube I still cried the first time, and then my husband was totally scarred and didn't want to do it again for like another month. It took a few more tries before it wasn't painful anymore, but I never really got back into the swing of things (both in terms of libido and enjoyment) until I weaned at 16 months.
Currently 7 weeks PP. Stopped bleeding around 3 weeks. Got put on the mini pill at my 6 week appt. and am randomly bleeding (although light, still bleeding bright red). Normal? I am EBFing and know some women get their period while still BFing but I figured with the pill I wouldn't deal with this at all.

Spotting on the pill is normal. It can take up to 3 months for that to stop. Unfortunately because it has no estrogen in the pill it could continue but likely will even out once your body has adjusted. It's a wait and see game at this stage for you.
I'm at 4 weeks pp and still bleeding - seems like it's picked up a little in fact. I'm not exercising at all yet - had gone on a few walks but scrapped that for now, and just trying to do regular housework. Getting really frustrated that it doesn't seem to be getting better - did it last this long for anyone else?
Re: Post Partum Thread
@LadySamLady yeah... The belly button has some weird stuff going on that I could see never getting better.
When did you deliver? 38 .2 weeks
How did you deliver (vaginal, c-section, etc)? Emergency csection
How are you feeling about your delivery?
I healed fine
How is your recovery going? Great surgery wise
Any post partum issues or questions for the group? Yes, extremely sad at times and uncontrollably crying as well. Anything to help
