Ugh this week has just been crappy! Anyone else??? I don't know why but I have just been feeling so awful and so so grumpy! I guess it is hormones since I have AF. I am not like my usual happy self. Thankfully my DH has been so amazing. He brought me home chocolate last night and set up a date night for tomorrow because he knew I was having a rough week.

@kwolf002 sorry about BFN- I have had that pain both IUI cycles.. But it is still early so hopefully it is a good sign for you!!
@wifeinraleigh23 I am so sorry! Hope it is isn't AF! Have you tested yet or are you waiting to see if AF shows. Hope you can relax a bit, I know it is so devastating

@Knottie366224737 IUI's??? Wow, I am so sorry that is so hard to go through. Is there a reason why you have done 7 instead of IVF? Hoping and praying that this is your + cycle!!!

@kwolf002 I haven't had that sort of pain. Mine is usually side boob/armpit and nipple soreness. Probably just these crazy meds! FX for you and that you just tested too early!

@wifeinraleigh28 I'm sorry you're feeling like AF is around the corner! I think I've read some ladies feel like they are starting and then end up +. Hopefully this is the case for you. Hugs!

@chicandbubbly I've had a rough couple of days and feel like I'm finally pulling out of that rut. SO I know how you feel! I think it's a combination of the medications, anticipation and disappointments.

@babylonghorn16 FX that this IUI works out for you! I'd love to have an IVF buddy but would rather you get your +!!!

I was expecting AF when I woke up this morning but it was just more of the same spotting. I haven't been to the bathroom in about an hour, but there's a chance AF has started since then. Because I'm taking progesterone suppositories the "wetness" I feel feels like AF all the time, so I really can't tell unless I go to the bathroom. This is just miserable.

@chicandbubbly I haven't tested yet. I always like to wait until 14dpo to test. If I get AF before then though I never take a test. I'm sorry you've been feeling grumpy

I woke up extremely grumpy this morning. We are so lucky to have supportive husbands. Mine helped me feel a lot better too. He told me this morning that no matter what happens, he continues to love me more and more every single day. That pretty quickly turned my mood around. When I focus on the wonderful things in my life, rather than what I don't have, it helps so much. I know there are so many girls out there that hope and pray for a loving husband one day, and we have that. We truly are lucky!!! *hugs* to you and everyone else on this forum

Sorry I have been MIA! After my IVF denial meltdown I need to step away for a minute. I had 16 follies and normal hormone at my day 3 appointment. Today was day 12 and I have a 30mm follie (or cyst). Waiting on labs to see if I ovulated already or if there's still hope this round. And then to top the morning off my first patient this morning was an IV heroin user that is obviously about 6 months pregnant, claims she didn't know, doesn't know who the father is because she prostitutes, has an STD, and is asking my if its too late for an abortion. Sometimes I don't know how I survive in this job. I had a major meltdown after she left.

In other news, I started doing fertility massage, acupuncture and using essential oils. Has anyone else tried any of these things or know of anyone who had any success after?

Good luck to anyone testing at home this weekend! Crossing my fingers for you guys!

@chicandbubbly because of my age and the fact that nothing is really wrong with me my RE asked me to be patient and try 7-8 iui cycles with clomid. He's really under the impression that a lot of unexplained fertility patients under a certain age can get pregnant without IVF. I think he also takes the emotional, financial, and prescription toll IVF takes on a person seriously.

I think that varies by age, but I don't think it's uncommon for doctors to try 6 iui's with women under 30 or 35 in cases of unexplained--I forget. It's definitely emotionally exhausting and I get why some people might think it's crazy. Trust me, I've wanted to go to IVF and I did a consult with a clinic in NY... but my insurance has been covering the ultrasounds. I've just been paying OOP for the meds and IUI which is about $500.

As frustrated as I've been with my doctor (mind you I've had two other consults with other doctors and became a patient of one for two cycles), I trust my primary and just believe in him for some reason. I'm also in a women's infertility group in my area and I know a few that did get pregnant on the 9th or beyond iui (usually success was with injectables)

If this one fails and he suggests IUI with injectables, I'll probably try that too for a few cycles.

I don't plan on doing IVF with his clinic though as they don't have any sort of money back guarantee, which I should qualify for. If I do IVF-I'm doing a money back guarantee and going $$ all in.

@NurseTMD85 I tried acupuncture this month. I find it kind of odd that this month is the worst response to the meds I've had yet. Not that I'm blaming acupuncture. If anything, it's very relaxing. Just a weird observation. And I don't blame you for the meltdown. Life is so cruel that women like that can get KU but us "normal" gals can't. So sorry you had to deal with that.

Thanks @lin&say It really is so frustrating. I really liked the acupuncture. I felt lighter when I left. I'm also starting with a therapist next week who specializes in infertility. I think it would be a lot easier if it weren't for my job. Today I almost crossed a line and became very unprofessional at work.

You know we will all be checking in tomorrow. @nursetmd85 I am sorry about the meltdown, but totally understandable (I think). Seem so unfair sometimes. I also started acupuncture about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I will try anything if it helps!!! @knottie36622473 I admire your ability to stay sane through 7 IUI's. Hang in there, something has to work soon!!!!! @lin&say I have co-workers going away party tonight. Should be fun trying to explain why I am not drinking when I always do HH with these people in particular. Tomorrow, is a baby shower. What are you doing?

@NurseTMD85 Glad acupuncture is helping! I hope the therapist helps too. It's nice to have someone to talk/cry to who actually gets how sucky this process is.

@jsmorrissey Ahh a baby shower...you're brave! I understand the not drinking thing. Why can't we not drink in peace lol hope you have a good time!

As for me, I'll be hanging out with a friend tomorrow (which will be exhausting) and then hanging out with my fam for my mom's birthday.

AF is here so it is over for me

No testing for me tomorrow.

DH and I are both just really sad and don't want to go through IUI anymore. So we've made the decision to go straight to IVF next. I'm going to call my clinic on Monday to schedule a meeting with my doctor to discuss next steps. I'm looking forward to the next time I pump my body full of meds being for a procedure that has a much higher chance of working. This stuff is so hard. Thank you so much for helping me through this, ladies! And GOOD LUCK to those of you still waiting!!

This weekend is DH's birthday. I think we will go to the beach or go on a hike....OR check out a winery since I'm on BCP for the next week.

@wifeinraleigh28 I am scheduled for a saline infused ultrasound on March 7th to look for any uterine defects and all the required blood work for me and DH. I'll find out the schedule at that time I hope. They sent me a 'what to expect' email and it looks like my IVF cycle will be booked April-June depending on how fast I get my labs done and availability. I'm getting my labs done ASAP, so hopefully it will be closer to the April time frame.
Hopefully your ivf cycle will get all set up soon!

@Tusername - That's great that you're getting started on everything!! I have no idea what our timeline will look like and I actually don't know anything about what we'll have to do to get started on IVF. I hope it won't take long for us to have the appt with my RE to figure everything out. I'm going to call first thing Monday morning to get it scheduled. My mom lives across the country but will be visiting at the end of April. I would love it if my ER could be while she is here (would love to have my mama around when I go through that!), but I don't know how these things work as far as timing. Guess I'll find out! GL to you!!

@Tusername - Forgive me if I've already asked you this, but where in Cali are you? I'm originally from OC. Would love to keep in contact through all this! I actually just scheduled our IVF consultation for March 15th. So not too far away. Hopefully we will then have a better idea of timelines and what this is going to cost! I want to do it all... ICSI, PGD testing, embryo freezing, etc, to give ourselves the best chance possible of success, even though I know that doing all of that is going to increase the price pretty significantly!

I understand wanting to do all the additional testing. I was so focused on IUI's and that those would work that I haven't really looked into those tests much so I don't know too much about them. I'm hoping March 7th will not only be the ultrasound but also a consult that I can ask questions.

I got AF on Saturday. I was hoping it was implantation bleeding, but alas it seems way too heavy for that. I took tests over the weekend, all BFN's, of course. But I just wanted to make sure before I drink my glasses of wine. I will take this month off as I will be in CA during the week that I would most likely have my next IUI. GL to you ladies that are still waiting to test!!! I am crossing my fingers for some BFP's!!!!!! I will be checking in!!!!!

Friday was CD12 for me. My follie was a big, fat 30! I was so scared it was a cyst, but my previous ultrasound showed no signs of one developing and my blood work indicated I was surging (which has never happened before). I triggered that night and ended up having my IUI on CD 13 (also never happened before). Usually I go on CD14. DHs count was our highest yet at 36 million post-wash and 90% motility. I'm hoping that since everything has been different this round, the third time will be the charm!

I'm taking a break from here, google, and anywhere else I usually go to obsess. I'm trying to be really calm and just follow my daily routines. I'll be back after my beta on 3/15! Good luck to anyone testing soon! Hoping to see BFPs!!!!

AF for me last Friday, so I didn't test either. So sorry @wifeinraleigh28! FX for IVF. We are doing one more IUI with Clomid. But the doctor has doubled my Clomid.
