@wifeinraleigh28I don't see how it could hurt anything, you should be fine. If you feel comfortable with it, maybe just mention to your Chiro that you could be pregnant.

@chicandbubbly glad you were able to relax in sunny Florida!  Totally can relate of course to your fb news...my DH's cousin called him on Valentine's Day to let us know him and his wife just found out they are having their second child...they weren't even trying!  Ugh.  Happy for them of course but just made us frustrated that we have been trying so hard and they aren't even trying and it just happens!  So hard to process.

Hey everybody! I just posted my intro on the main infertility page, but I wanted to join in here.
I had an IUI on 2/11 and am 6dpo. This is my 5th cycle (i think, sometimes it's hard to keep track!). I've had two cancelled cycles due to too many follis and all other cycles I only had one folli. But, this time I had TWO! It's the first time the cycle has gone really well. So, I am hoping maybe it will be successful this time around.

Thanks for welcoming me and I hope your cycles are going well ladies!

I'm really bummed... I just went for my baseline bloodwork and ultrasound for my 2nd IUI and they found a cyst :( They are calling me tomorrow with the blood results to see if my estrogen is too high to do clomid this cycle. So frustrating!

Update: responded much faster than last cycle. Follicle check today CD12 i have a 16.5mm right (+ 7.5mm wont mature) and 21.5mm on left. Trigger tonight BD tonight and friday and IUI sat. RE says i may ovulate the dominant sooner than IUI and since DH numbers are very high we should be fine with sample size for IUI sat. Crazy how every cycle can be so different on same meds. Goodluck everyone!!

@Starlight811 interesting that they say to bd the day before the IUI. We are told that DH has to be abstinent for two days before IUI. I wonder if we are decreasing our chances by not Bd'ing before.

@Drove2u waiting the 36-48 hrs is a normal request you are correct. My RE had us BD night of trigger then wait 36 hrs for IUI for then BD the next few days for IUI#1. The reason why is because I have a mature follicle that might ovulate before IUI for the second follicle and since my DH counts were 3 times the average amount only 36hrs after abstaining when he first had SA and last IUI he believes we will be more than fine with the sample. I guess my RE feels confident that he will have more than enough of a sample if we BD day before IUI (today). So essentially we are planning doing two "inseminations" one by BD the next by IUI and we counted my trigger differently this time also. Hope all goes well my fear is both will ovulate today and IUI will be too late :(

That happened to me once where I ovulated earlier than expected. So we just bd. Obviously that didn't work for us. Just had my sixth and last IUI. 40 million post wash and 70% motility. If this doesn't work then Ivf in April.

@Drove2u my DH and I decided to do it the day before the iui and have not done this before but I figured they would still have enough for the iui. Which we had a great number of swimmers at 45million. But every one is usually told to wait for two days before. Good luck ladies

@Drove2u and @ultratomato we decided to BD the night before IUI this time since this was our last ever IUI so why not? Post wash numbers weren't great at 12 mill and 95% motility, but it only takes one!

Had IUI#2 today it was more uncomfortable than last time i had some pain and now cramping. I did have some brown discharge after i wiped going to the bathroom I assume is from the catheter into cervix since I had pain this time. DH numbers were really good I was neevous since it was only 12 hours from abstaining (RE recommened due to possibly ovulating early). Now on to the TWW. GL girls

Well AF arrived this morning, a few days late :(. So sad, even though I didn't have high hopes for this one. My DH wants to take next month off of treatments so we will be doing that. Not sure what our next move will be though, my husband is stressed about cost of IVF (we are 100% oop) and so he wants to do one last iui before ivf. Not sure what we will do yet though. I hope to see lots of bfps from you all in the next few weeks. <3

I'm so sorry @chicandbubbly  I was rooting for you.  I understand wanting to do another IUI before forking out the money for IVF.  We're in the same boat.  Nervous about the costs and will be OOP.  It's good to take a month off to give your body a rest from all the meds though.  If we get a BFN we're taking next month off too then doing one last IUI, likely in April.

@chicandbubbly I'm sorry AF showed up. I'll be thinking about y'all as you weigh the pros and cons of IVF and trying your final IUI. Maybe you'll even get lucky on your month off! My doctor tells me he can almost guarantee 100% that IVF will work for us, but we too are considering the financial costs and trying a few more IUI's if possible.

I have taken a few early tests which have so far been negative. I usually don't test early but after looking at so many people testing daily with the cheap tests, I decided I would this time around. Today is 10dpo for me. I'm using the Easy@Home brand sticks.

I know a few of you are getting ready to test... I wish you all the best of luck!

@Tusername - My RE told me the same thing at my final ultrasound before trigger.  He said he can definitely get me pregnant with IVF.  It's certainly tempting.  I already know we will do it if we have to, it's just a matter of when we decide to give up on IUIs.

I have so many of the Easy@Home sticks too, but I've been able to refrain from using them like a crazy person each cycle.  I hope I have the strength to hold out until Saturday.

@wifeinraleigh28 Yes, the IVF 'lure' is tempting but I just really wanted to give it all the tries I could before moving on  . If AF comes, I'll be starting the work up for IVF in the next couple weeks.
I was unable to refrain this cycle since I had more than one folli this time. I'm rooting for you girl! I hope so much this is your month. How are you feeling so far? I feel basically normal except sore bbs but that could very easily be from the progesterone.
Also, could you tell me how to add me back story so it will show up when I comment? TIA!

@Tusername - Hoping this is your cycle as well and you won't have to hop on the IVF train!  But if you do, at least IVF has a much better chance of success :)  I learned not to symptom spot during TWW because it's too early for pregnancy to be causing symptoms.  I know all my symptoms are from either the trigger or progesterone.  I'm getting all the same symptoms I had last IUI: sore boobs, acne breakouts, constipation, exhaustion, feeling bloated... basically I just feel really sexy :D

Question- Has anyone had a much heavier AF than normal after IUI? Last month it was like my usual- pretty light. This month it is starting off to be the worst AF ever and I am only two days in!! Maybe my lining was thicker this time around or something? I hate the reminder normally after a failed cycle but jeez this is awful. :(

Good Luck @Tusername- I know it can be tempting to test early. I hate seeing the BFN though so I always wait until AF is due to test. This month I didn't test at all because I had no pregnancy tests left. LOL Both times my luteal phase was 2-3 days longer after the IUI.

@chicandbubbly - I've heard you can have heavy bleeding during AF as a result of fertility meds.  I'm sorry it's been rough, but I do think it's normal.  Hopefully it won't last too long!

@wifeinraleigh28 - thanks for asking. Beta 1 was 96 and Beta 2 was 1,112. The nurse said that's great and scheduled us to come in for an OB scan in two weeks. I haven't done much digging to see what typical numbers are, but I'm going to trust the nurse that it was good.

@chicandbubbly I've also heard that heavy AF after meds is normal. Sorry it sucks!
