@MorganL925 Congrats!! Those numbers look great! Was this your first IUI? I see in your siggy that you're on a self-prescribed vitamin regimen... do you mind detailing what vitamins you're taking? Looking for anything that will increase my odds on this last IUI.

Thanks!

Hello Everyone. After staying abreast of everyone's updates, I finally have something to report. My ultrasound showed small follicles, the largest of which is 13mm. I go back on Wed for another ultrasound. If this IUI does not work, DH and I will move to IVF because the IUI meds may be contributing to my fibroid growth. Oh- and I now have 6 fibroids, which is twice as many as the last check in the fall.

Hello all! Just wanted to wish you all luck this month! @babylonghorn16 I have listed my regime below. I haven't had a BFP with this (yet) but my RE and acupuncturist recommended all the below to improve egg quality.

DHEA 75 mg/day (you will need a prescription for this)

CoQ10 100mg 3 x day (ubiquinol formula)-purchased at Natural Grocers

Vitamin D-3 1000 IU - purchased at Natural Grocers

Acai Berry 1000 mg/ 1 x day. -purchased at Natural Grocers

Pre-natal w/DHA 1x day

My acupuncturist put me on 2 types of herbs-Dan Zhi & Qi Bao Mei-3 caps each 2 x day -Purchased from her directly.

Of course, talk to your doctor first

All in all about 20 pills a day, but I am totally hopeful this all will help me get my BFP.

Great news @morganl925 those numbers are really good!

Thanks, all! It still doesn't feel real, but I think that has to be normal after struggling with IF for so long.

@babylonghorn16 - Thanks! This was my first IUI. I've been trying to update my signature but I haven't been able to find it... The vitamin regimen was for my husband as he had MFI. If that would still be helpful, I'm happy to post it all!

@chicandbubbly - Thanks! This was my first IUI. We were dealing with MFI. His count on that morning (after washing) was 6.8mil (I think!..may have been 6.2M) with 89% motility. We were really excited for both counts, but the nurse said something like "well the count isn't great, but the motility helps make up for that..." But we still thought it was a good count, for him at least. I was so, so nervous leading up to it. I didn't let him drink any coffee that morning prior to the sample and he'd been doing vitamins regularly. FX it sticks. I was on Femera and did a trigger shot. I'm pretty sure I O'd the morning after IUI (we BDed that morning - the morning after IUI - just to cover our bases). I think I have my follicle sizes listed in my signature...there were three decent-sized ones three days prior to IUI, and my lining was around 10mm. I also treated the TWW as almost like I would after IVF. I took things easy; only did pilates vs. any running/jumping. I did eat pineapple core for the five days after IUI. Not sure if that's an old wives tale, but I like pineapple so I figured it couldn't hurt. I tried to avoid getting overly stressed and symptom spotting and didn't take any Tylenol/advil/etc. I got a negative test at 8DPO, but that was mostly to check that the trigger was out of my system. I've been on progesterone supp. every day since 2DPIUI. FX for you! I'm happy to answer any questions. I struggled to find support for MFI and want to support others.

@MorganL925 - Thank you for sharing all those details!! I'm so so happy for you. And it gives me hope that we could be successful with MFI too. Our situations are very similar with the low numbers and the low T. I've been feeling really hopeless with our 9M post wash for our IUI so it's so good to hear you were successful with 6.4M. The treatment for my husband has been really hard on him because his T is not where it should be, a sacrifice he's making to improve his count :( Anyway, I can't wait to hear how your future ultrasounds go!!

Thanks, @wifeinraleigh28 - I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed for you. I think 9M is a great count! I wasn't super hopeful for us, and I managed to wait until 12DPO to test and it was faint. I know what you mean about the T-levels. My thoughts are that once we know this pregnancy is viable and I get further along, DH is going to talk to his PCP about T-replacement since the Clomid didn't help with his low-T symptoms. I'm hoping something synthetic can help.

@chicandbubbly - Thank you! I'm doing okay, just getting pretty impatient at this point. I'm having a very busy week at work which is good for the distraction but I worry that I'm stressing myself out too much and that could affect the outcome of this IUI... I feel pretty good physically though. Most of the symptoms I was feeling in week 1 have gone away, so maybe my body is getting used to the progesterone suppositories! Hoping I'll have good news to share on Saturday, but I am also very much aware that the odds are not in my favor so trying to manage my expectations appropriately.

@teamginger13 - I think 20 mm is good! I wouldn't worry about ovulating early if your RE isn't concerned about it. But make sure you follow your BD instructions, usually the night you do the trigger shot! :)

@teamginger13 i was in a similar situation this cycle. CD12 i had a follicle measuring 21.5mm! The other was 16.5...so RE told me most likely the 21.5mm will ovulate before the IUI and second follicle and to be safe we should BD night of trigger (that night) and the next day (day b4 IUI). He knew DH counts were very high so there was no worry that it would mess up counts in his sample for IUI. Ask your RE what they reccomend. As RE assured us morning of IUI DH still had a great sample count (only after 12 hours) thankfully. At least you know for sure you will be ovulating very soon so you can time BD as well and having the IUI. GL!

@Jsmorrissey Thanks! Probably too late for this cycle since IUI is done. I've been taking the prenatal + DHA 1day vitamin though! Also been substituting my coffee for orange juice and whole milk... not sure if that will make a difference, but it just makes me feel good! If, God forbid, I move onto another cycle, I will talk to my RE about the supplements you listed above!

@teamginger13 I don't think 20mm is too big for Thursday IUI. Follies usually grow @ 2mm a day, so that means you'll be anywhere from 22 - 24mm, which is right where you want to be! From what I've read, trigger is pretty reliable at inducing ovulation 36 - 40 hours after taking. I worry about timing too, but I have to remind myself to relax and put faith in the docs... and have sex constantly around the trigger lol. We had sex the night of the trigger and then the night after the IUI (were told to abstain for at least 1day). His count was 45 mill, so sex definitely didn't affect the count much. Sorry - got carried away... my point is you should be fine ! GL to you!!

Thank you @Jsmorrissey and @babylonghorn16 for cheering me on! :) 3 days to go now. I really don't feel anything at all, as my symptoms have subsided. I have a headache today but I'm headache prone anyway. None of this means anything one way or the other. I'm scared I'll see bleeding every time I go to the bathroom since I'm expecting spotting any day now and/or AF by Friday if I'm not pregnant. I'm just glad this TWW will be over soon and trying to look forward to moving on either way now at this point.

@wifeinraleigh28 I hate that feeling of being afraid to go to the bathroom! Especially since last cycle I got AF before my scheduled beta. I like your outlook though - that's a good way to think about it!

Ick warning: I've noticed that I have little to no discharge this cycle from the estrogen and progesterone. Before my IUI I was taking estrogen and saw some discharge, and last cycle I had to wear a panty liner everyday bc of the mess from the progesterone. Confused about why after this IUI, I see nothing. Probably doesn't mean anything, but just thought I'd see if anything is experiencing/has experienced the same. Any insights?

@babylonghorn16 - I started off having the typical progesterone discharge, but then in week 2 it changed to watery and/or milky and I don't know if that is also from the progesterone or not. Honestly I just "feel" like I'm on my period all the time right now just because it's so wet down there. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to these things and our bodies do different things all the time. Who knows why there are changes from one cycle to the next!

@chicandbubbly - You're right about the last few days being the worst. I feel like I have a constant feeling of anxiety and butterflies in my tummy that I can't seem to get any relief from, just knowing I'll be finding out the result soon. 2 whole weeks is such a mean thing that nature does to us!

@wifeinraleigh28-Bathroom breaks are the worst and at this time, the scariest, but hang in there!!! You're so close. I will definitely be reaching out on Saturday!!!!! FX crossed for you!!!!!!!!!

@cmm012-I am sorry the follies are still too small, but sounds like they are still growing. Just a little longer!!!

@babylonghorn16-when I was on progesterone I also had some discharge, bleh. The hormones just tend to do a number on your body, all for the good, but still... I also gained like 10 lbs on it, within the first couple weeks, double bleh!

So just got back from the ivf consult and my luteal b/w and ultrasound. So they said that they couldn't see my right ovary because of the endometrium. Has anyone have this happen?

Thank you @Lin&say @cmm012 @Jsmorrissey! So far no spotting or bleeding today. I'll be sure to update if anything changes!

@ultratomato - Did your doctor say there was anything to worry about with that? My RE doesn't do b/w or u/s during TWW so I've never had anyone try to see what was going on in there while I'm on progesterone... It makes sense to me though. That stuff is thick and icky!

@Lin&say this is my third and last IUI before IVF. Trying not to symptom spot or really think about what my body's doing bc meds. Can really mess with a girl's head!

@wifeinraleigh I hate that feeling! Luckily I'm not seeing much of that with this cycle. Hope you're keeping busy in these last two days!!

@Jsmorrissey Ugh I know what you mean - I've gained 5lbs since Dec. Doesn't seem like much, but it makes me feel pretty awful. So ready to rock my baby bump instead of my fat bump lol!

Had the weirdest dreams last night. Also woke up at 3am to pee and couldn't go back to sleep until 5!! Miserable. I just stared at the ceiling thinking how are we ever going to have 3 kids?! Feel like I'm already late on starting our family. Started comparing myself to everyone else around me and how old they were for each child. Ugh. Couldn't turn my brain off. I did say a prayer for you all during my insomnia session, so that was good! :)

Hey ladies...I'm in 2ww for IUI #7...100mg clomid days 3-7, 2 follices 22mm and 24mm...trigger with ovidrel...

Please don't let me being on #7 discourage you. We are pretty much unexplained. They suspect mild endo, but my tubes are open and U/S have been normal. I have a luteal phase defect, but the clomid and progesterone cream has helped that. Hubby has low morphology, but because all his other counts are outstanding they said it shouldn't matter. So overall, we are "unexplained" as per the RE.

I have an appointment on Monday for next steps if this fails...discussion on iui w/ injectables vs. IVF
Leaning towards doing 3-4 cycles with injectables before IVF.

Me 30 Hubby 32
TTC#1
1.) IUI Cycle 1 April 2015- 50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 9:30am showed two follicles (17mm and 19mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
2.) IUI Cycle 2 May 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 3:30pm showed three follicles!!! (17mm, 20mm and 22mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
3.) IUI Cycle 3 June 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 showed one follicle, Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
Month break and switched RE's.
4.) IUI Cycle 4 July 2015-5mg letrozole/femara days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed one follicle (18mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
5.) IUI Cycle 5 August 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (18mm each), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
Taking a break and trying acupuncture before continuing another 3 IUI/clomid cycles. I also went back to my original RE; because of my age and normal tests, RE wants to try another 3 IUI and Clomid cycles before considering injectables or IVF.
6.) IUI Cycle 6 October 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 3 follicles!!!( 18mm, 19mm, and 20mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 9:30 am. Did acupuncture with this cycle too. BFN
Took a break and ttc naturally
7.) IUI Cycle 7 February 2016-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (22mm and 24mm), Ovidrel trigger shot day 12 at 9:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 at 10:00am. BFN
Meeting scheduled for 2/29/2016 to discuss iui with injectables vs. IVF
8.) IUI Cycle 8 March 2016-Injectables (Gonal F), U/S showed 2 mature follicles, Ovidrel Trigger BFN

I started spotting today and I feel like AF is coming. Even though I was expecting this, I've been feeling overwhelming sadness and disappointment today. I know I'm not completely out yet, but I expect to be by morning. AF should be here by then.

@MarlyHC - I test Saturday, but I have a feeling I won't make it that far. AF should come before then. FX for you for Sunday!!!
