Hello ladies! My name is Trish and I am 28 and DH is 39. I live in The Philly area and I work for a tech company. I have a Bachelors in Kinesiology from Penn State University and I am a certified personal trainer. DH is a senior sales engineer. This will both be our first LO and we are over the moon with becoming pregnant.
I was diagnosed with PCOS after unsuccessfully trying to become pregnant for a year. We went on a few rounds of clomid and letrozole and my body never responded to them. So doc started me on the path for IVF. I never expected it to be a long journey but it was. 3 shots every day for three weeks, bunch of pills for hormones, surgery to remove eggs, and then had to wait another 2 months before we could transfer due to finding out I was a carrier for cystic fibrosis. We finally got the call that all my levels were back to normal and I could transfer an embryo. We chose to do one embryo instead of two and it seems to be working. Beta test came back over 500 today!
DH and I have a 7 year old fur baby named Koda. She is a miniature dachshund and the love of my life of course, aside from my husband I love all things fitness, running, and I had played soccer for over 23 years. Taking a break from that of course!
Hi everyone. I'm Katie. Dh and I are both 33 and this will be our first. Last year was a crappy year for me as I was pregnant twice and lost both pregnancies (one in the first tri and one in the second). I am certainly hoping that this time will go better.
We live and work in the Bay Area on the peninsula. I'm an engineering manager (hardware) and he is a project manager (software). My main hobby is playing tennis, although I'll be taking a break from it during this pregnancy since I'm now in the category of "don't breathe too hard or you might miscarry."
We also brew beer (glad to see others on here!) so, that's two hobbies down. I think I need to find some new hobbies
Hi everyone! I'm Mrs3615. I'm 29 (turning 30 in July!) and DH is 30. This is my first pregnancy! We live in Colorado now, but moved here from Chicago. We have known each other for 5 years, and have only been married for 2ish months (But we were engaged for 18 months before that).
I have a BA in Theatre and Psychology, and worked for many years in non-profit management. I am now trying to go back to grad school for psychology, and work in the mental health field. DH graduated with a Double E, and works for a company as a lead design engineer.
We love to robowatch shows on Netflix, hike, camp, ski, snow shoe, swim, and travel in general. We are big dorks and would prefer to stay in and watch a TED talk than go to a fancy dinner. We also prefer breakfast dates over dinner dates!
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and congrats on your BFP!
I intro'ed before in a separate post - but so they are all in one place - I'm 27, DH is 32, we've been together for 3 years and just recently celebrated our first anniversary. DH does research, I've got to MA's and one more year left in my current program and then we will be relocating to wherever-there's-a-job. We've been actively TTC#1 for 8 months, with one CP (maybe a second in retrospect once I learned what they were). We are super-excited and a bit anxious about it sticking. Assuming all goes well, I'll feel a lot more comfortable at our first appt (I'll be 9.5wks) once we hear a heartbeat and hear a doc say all is good.
After the CP we decided to wait until at least close to end of first tri to announce even to our families - so my main mission at the moment is staying healthy and practicing keeping my mouth shut, while trying to covertly get pg-advice/ideas from my ob-gyn friend/several friends who have given birth recently.
In my spare time... For the most part, I forgot what this "spare time" is that you speak of... I like swimming, biking/triathlons (though they'll go on hold for awhile), baking, crocheting and playing with our 2 furbaby kitties (1.5 yr old white w/ orange and an almost 2 yrs old orange w/ some white - they complement each other well). I *know* it's kinda silly/hard to train cats, but the younger is the most food-motivated cat I've met, so he's learned to give us "high-fives." The other one looks at us like 'meh, you'll give me the treat eventually anyways, then I might eat it...'
MIL had a dream a couple months ago that one of her daughters-in-law was pg with twins... So, while I don't put much weight into dreams, it'll be eerie if she was right...
28yo, TTC#2 since 6/2014 Kiddo #1 = 10 cycles of trying, 1 CP and is now a toddler
Hi ladies, my name is jenny and i'm from scotland. This is my first pregnancy and we're due 02/06/16. I have been married for 2 years and we adore our black lab pooch, bute.
Very excited to add to our little trio but anxious about this whole process so it is great to find people in exactly the same situation at the same point! Be interesting to get different viepoints from different parts of the world Xx
Oh @jennymack79, you and I would get along great. DH and I have gotten really into craft beer. (Gotta take a hiatus now!) I also used to do copywriting and would love to get back to it!!
And looks like you and I are the elders in the group so far. Lol
My dh home brews also. He's going to have quite a bit to drink on his own now!

Welcome Jenny! Where in Scotland are you from? I've only been over there once, but I have relatives in Orkney.
Hello you lovely ladies! My name is Victoria and I am 29 years old. My boyfriend is 27 (28 next month) and we live in London. This is our first pregnancy. I was diagnosed with PCOS and managed to get pregnant on the first round of clomid. I got an early ultrasound due to pretty bad cramps but wasn't able to spot my bean as it is a bit early (although the sac was spotted). DD of 4 Feb. Feel quite old for a first pregnancy! Most of you ladies my age are on 3/4!
I did a degree in Biology but am now a solicitor and work for a U.S firm. I'm a bit concerned about juggling long hours and pregnancy. I am currently on a business trip abroad that I couldn't get out of and will have to spend the entire time making excuses for not drinking! The boyfriend is in marketing and he is simply the best I love the States so happy to hear from you ladies all the way over there
Hi, I'm Megan. DH and I are 28 and we've been married for 2 years, together for 10. We live in Pennsylvania. I will be a first-time mom if all goes well, and I'm sooo excited about it! This is our second pregnancy and we've been TTC for a grand total of 18 months. I am a school psychologist at a high school and DH works mostly from home as an environmental consultant.
We have a 5 year old mini-dachshund named Callahan. DH and I played Ultimate Frisbee pretty competitively, but I've had to take it easy over the past year due to an ACL tear last June...blah, this has totally messed up my normal fitness routine. I now do mostly strength training and am happy to give up frisbee due to pregnancy . We enjoy video games, Netflix binges, antiquing/flea markets, and are working to get settled into our new house.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone - here's to a H&H 9 months for us all!
@overblueskies i think its great that you joined this group!!! I dont think your age will make it hard to relate with the other women in the group. If anything you might find them/us to be more of an outlet for you! I know a lot of young women your age aren't having children yet so it might actually be harder for them to relate to you then you to relate to us. Make sense? Welcome & Congrats!!!!
I'm really excited to have a group of ladies who knows what's going on, I think it will be a fantastic tool for me through this journey!
I was one of the youngest in my first BMB. I joined when I was 20 and gave birth when I was 21.
Does it make it any harder to connect with the other moms on here?
Not at all! For everything pregnancy related at least. Later when we separated from the board and everything wasn't all babies, it was definitely more difficult. Mostly because they always talked about things like divorces or buying/selling houses, moving, etc that I had no experience or insight in. But that's what makes it better too because then you can ask about those kinds of things if/when they come up for you.
On the bright side Jacob already has a house! (His dad died last year and he started paying for it for his mom and then she got remarried a month ago, moved out and gave it to him) I'm sure I'll have plenty of life and baby questions for everyone! Thank you so much for the insight by the way!

Are you me?! Haha what kind of console do you own? And I'll need to see a pic of your little weenie
@tboslet here is our pup! I love the pic of your doxie! Our dog just
automatically gravitates to the sun as well...we'll find him laying in
weird parts of the house just to get some sunlight. I guess I really
should have put him in the fur babies thread We currently have a
ps3, H wants a ps4...I'm indifferent at this point.
Hi, I'm Casey and I'm 24, nearly 25, and DH is 26. We live in the PNW and love it! I teach 3rd grade and DH is a bio-engineer. We are high school sweethearts and have been married almost 5 years. I had a chemical last cycle so I'm feeling a bit anxious about this pregnancy. Although tests have been coming back much stronger this time than last so I'm hopeful!! This will be our first child and we have an adorable shiba-inu pup Nice to meet all you ladies!!
Hi, I'm Janine. I'm 28 and DH is 31. We live on Long Island in NY. I'm a Registered Dietitian and he works for the NYPD. We often have opposite schedules so I spend a lot of time cuddling with my 7 month old pug. We have been together for 10 years, married/TTC for 2. This will be my 2nd pregnancy but if all goes well i'll be a first time mom It's nice to meet everyone.
My name is Melanie, my husband and I have been married 2 1/2 years, and this is our first pregnancy! We are so excited to start this part of our journey!
Hola! I'm Kika, 28 and DH is 34. Just got married (2 months). This is the first time I've ever joined any kind of group and participated posting on one. Had to look many abbreviations up! Haha. I have an MS in Counseling w/ MFT concentration. Worked in the medical field for 10 years and loved it. Lived in Cali before moving to Mexico with my DH for his work. I don't know anyone here and feels pretty lonely. With new city, no fam friends and pregnant. This is the first time in 13 years I'm not doing school and work full time, I am now a homemaker and soon to be a stay at home mom. I am enjoying it though it's been a rough adjustment. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 20 and had other medical issues which made it seem like it would be hard for me to become pregnant (happened to my sister). So we did not use BC and oh surprise! I'm now between 4-5 weeks. Was not expecting that at all. I was thinking it would at least take a year. It feels surreal! Don't know if I believe it yet. I saw my doctor here and she was surprised as well. Now I'm feeling a bit anxious about something going wrong (best friend had MC at 6 weeks a month ago). Definitely feeling VERY blessed. Congrats to all of you ladies
Hello everyone! I am one of the old ones...I'm 36 and my DH is 37 and this is our first pregnancy. We have been married for 13 years this month and have been "trying" to get pregnant for many years, sometimes harder than others though. We finally bit the bullet and went to a fertility doctor last year and realized that we needed to do IVF due to male infertility. We did try two IUIs first without success, then did two rounds of IVF but had some complications and did not get pregnant. We switched doctors and this IVF round was a success!! I am still having a hard time believing it, but I sure have been smiling a lot lately!! To really complicate things, I also have type 1 diabetes, so that should be interesting during pregnancy
My husband and I are both pediatricians, but really don't much about OB... We have two dachshunds (our fur babies) and one cat. As you can imagine, we both work a lot, but enjoy watching movies, reading, and playing video games.
HI! I'm 33 and DH is 37 and live in upstate NY. We have two boys, 3.5 and 15 mo and we've been married 9 years. This pregnancy was quite a surprise. I have PCOS also and tried for 4 years before we got pregnant with DS1. DS2 is an IVF baby. Before DS1 I had done more fertility treatments than I can even count, or care to remember. We've also had a MC so we are cautiously optimistic. Oh, I'm a physician assistant and DH is going through a career change and will be starting nursing school in a couple months.
Hello! I'm 34 and DH is 33. This will be our second LO. DS will be 3 in August. We've been married for 5 years but together for 14. I met him in high school but we didn't start dating until college. If you ask DH this will be our last LO. I'm still on the fence since I've always wanted 3 but we'll see what it's like when the newest member of the family gets here.
Hi everyone! I'm 35 and DH is 33 and baby is due the week I turn 36. I've always said I didn't want to be pregnant at 36 so I should be careful what I wish for apparently. We live in Dallas and I am a Director at a company and hubby is IT Manager who works from home.
This is our second baby, DS will be 2 in October. We have a Labradoodle named Loki and we totally didn't think through that name at all as he spends his days living up to it!
This is our first summer in Dallas and I am dreading the heat!
Hi, my name is Morgan and I'm 29 (30 in September) and my DH is 25. I reside in Toronto, Canada. This is our first pregnancy, so I'm super excited, but not sure what to expect! I currently work as Fitness Trainer, and my boyfriend works for Toyota; building cars. I lead a very active lifestyle, and enjoy playing/watching most sports. I look forward to getting to know all of you ladies and sharing these milestones with you.

At least it isn't the summer of 2011...you know, the hottest summer in Dallas either ever or since 1980. You just need a boat around here right now.
Hey y'all! My name is Abby and I'm 22 years old...23 in 3 weeks! My husband is 25 and just finished four years of Active Duty service in the Navy. Super excited to get to know you ladies, my last BMB is absolutely amazing and we're still really close (I've even met a few of them in real life!). :x This will be us someday:
Hello! My name is Carlise. I'm 34 and an Army wife and SAHM. I have a bachelor's degree, but the army keeps us moving. We have a 9 year old son. And after 4 years of TTC we are expecting. We currently live in Massachusetts, the Army has decided to send us to live in Hawaii. So we will be moving there in December. We are very blessed for finally conceiving! I pray everyone has a happ and healthy 9 months and Beyond!
Hey chics... soooo guess what?! I'm now the oldest in the group...just turned 38 last week and dh is the big 4-0 next month. My name is Wendy and I'm in the New England area. This is my and dh second marriage, both of us have grown daughters ...mine is 12, his are 16 and 9. .... what am I thinking lol.
We started trying in January and after a few looong and crazy cycles, I started using cbe digital opk's and by the second month using those, I'm preggers!
Tomorrow I'll be 4 weeks, due date 2/12/16. My first Dr appt is 7/2. So excited to be on this amazing journey with all of you lovely ladies!!! Xo
Hello, I'm Mikki, I'm 26, newly wed and pregnant for the first time! I was told for the past 12 years I would never have a baby because they thought I had severe PCOS. come to find out I was just fat. So I list nearly 150 lbs and just started a regular period when we found out I'm pregnant. Due date is Feb 4th and we can't wait! Good luck mom's!
Hello everybody! I'm Angie, I'm a 31yo mom of two little boys, 2.5yo and 10 months. I'm due on Feb 6 or 10 (LMP/Ov Date - not sure which doc will pic yet) with baby #3. I've been married for 3.5 years, and I work part time as a hospice RN. My boys came 11 and 8 days late, respectively. My first L&D was really tough with an induction, epidurals that didn't work, baby in bad positions and 2 hours of pushing. Because of that (and really only because of that - I'm not very crunchy) I went the hypnobabies route with my second and was able to have a VERY positive experience with a med-free delivery. My hope is to go that route again, but most likely with a waterbirth because my pain was SO much more well controlled when I was in the water (I labored in the tub for about four hours, and when I couldn't take it any more and needed to be checked, I was ready to push about 15 minutes later.) Anyway, just giving a little background to my experiences:)
I was an active poster on Sept12 for a couple years, but it has dwindled away. Nice to meet you all.
Looks like I may be the oldest in the group! I'm Kristen and am 34, DH is 36. This is our second. We have a five year old daughter, Ainsley.
I work from home and have 1 five year old daughter too! At least I'm not the only one with an older single child, yay! North Carolina is my home, so not far at all from you.
Hey! I'm Rachel and I'm 25! My husband and I have been together one year (this Monday actually ) this is my first baby and we couldn't be more excited!
We are due February 3rd! We already have one sweet baby, our 3 year old husky Shepard!
I live in North Carolina mountains! I am finishing up my third year teaching third grade!
Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm 30, DH will be 31 in a couple of months. I'm wrapping up a post doc in primary care mental health integration and DH is a graphic artist. I'll start a grown up job in September, when I'm 20 weeks (I accepted 2 months before our bfp). We have a sweet puppy, who really isn't a puppy anymore at 4 years old.
This is our 5th pregnancy. We have a DS who is 8 and a little smarty pants (and obsessed with mine craft!). After three losses at different stages, we went to our re. I was skeptical - he didn't find a whole lot (other than hypothyroidism) and offered a treatment based on a hunch if I ever got pregnant again. Turns out, he might have been on to something.
Hi everyone! I'm brand new here. First time mommy! I am 5 weeks today... edd is 2/4/15. My husband and I are both 28 and have been married almost 5 years (in august!)... we started trying in March so we were lucky it didn't take us too long! So far I have had some morning sickness but mostly just extreme exhaustion and insomnia... sore boobs and crazy sense of smell. First dr appt isn't til July 7th and I am dying with anticipation! I'm from Indiana! Would love to talk with other first time mommies or anyone from Indiana or with same due date! Congrats everyone!!

I was skeptical - he didn't find a whole lot (other than hypothyroidism) and offered a treatment based on a hunch if I ever got pregnant again. Turns out, he might have been on to something.
