Please be seen. I had the same thing and it's either implantation bleeding or early signs of a miscarriage. My normal clinic had me go to an ER to ensure it wasn't an ectopic pregnancy.

I'm new here. I am 5w5d and I have been spotting from the start. I also am on my first pregnancy, I'm having my first ultrasound this Friday.
I have cramping but it seems to happen mostly when I'm standing for long periods of time. I also have had back pain since day one.
I just wanted to say it's nice to be able to come here and see that I am not the only one dealing with the frustration, fear and concerns and it's nice to have support.

I have a little spotting too now and vaginal itching. Worried that it might be a repeat ectopic pregnancy for me.

On Friday I contacted my OB to remind him about the prior ectopic and he did call back today and order a beta test for today and Wednesday, so I am going into the lab tonight.

I am so glad there is a place for us all to talk about this! I had no spotting whatsoever with my first pregnancy, and had a healthy natural birth in 2006. In 2012, we found out we were pregnant, but I started with brown discharge at 4w6d. The doctor I was seeing at the time had me rush to the ER because I have O- blood and they wanted to make sure I had the shot of Rhogam incase I miscarried. I only had 3 days of brown spotting before the full on miscarriage started and I knew I had lost the baby.

We never got pregnant after that, and I began spotting in between my cycles at least every other month. I switched doctors because the one I was seeing didn't seem concerned about anything I was saying! In May I had a d&c for a polyp they discovered. Still didn't get pregnant. November 11th I had an HSG to see if there was a blockage preventing me from conceiving again. Apparently it moved things around because I'M PREGNANT!

The day after the positive pregnancy test I had brown discharge when I wiped in the morning- panic ensued. I was able to get in for bloodwork that day, and the new doctor has been very calm, reassuring, and positive- no rushing to the ER! My HgC level was 312 Tuesday, and then more bloodwork was done on Thursday- levels over 700!!!

Spotting is more like regular discharge with brown tint now. No blood, but still SOOO nervous!

Doctor's office has been very supportive, but scheduled my first ultrasound for December 22. That feels like a million years away when we are so worried about our baby.

Im sad to say I'll be leaving this group as well. I went to the ER yesterday because my spotting got much heavier. My hormone level was very low and the ultrasound did not show a live pregnancy. Thank you for the thoughts. Best wishes to everyone!

Hi. Let's see. I'm 40 and have had no children. Today I am 5w4d. I had an mc in August and found out that I am pg again on nov 29 from a hpt. I started with the light brown/ very light pink spotting that same night and has continued everyday. Needless to say I have been a nervous wreck. My DH was called out of state yesterday because his father has fallen gravely ill not expected to make it to Christmas. We had very gentle intercourse last night and this morning I have bright red bleeding. A little cloty but zero cramps. I did two Hcg tests last week and my numbers doubled but I'm so afraid I am headed down the same path. Just looking for any hope. Blessing to you all.

I'm in the same situation right now.
I miscarriaged in August at 9 weeks which started with spoting for 3 days before cramping and bleeding started.
i am now 5 weeks pregnant and had light spotting over the weekend and was mentally freaking out. It seems to have gone away but i dont think i'll feel safe until i finish this Trimester.

I'm so frustrated. Today is day 5 with spotting. It was worse this morning when I went to the bathroom. It's been happening since Friday, and while it's not enough to warrant an emergency, my doctor will not call me back and I'm sure I'm on the road to miscarrying if I haven't already. I think I might just let my inner crazy take over and insist they order another round of hcg levels.

Thoughts to all you ladies with similar things going on!

It seems like the HgC tests are one of the only things we have at this point! It doesn't really require much of the doctor to write a blood work referral- I would see if you can get someone from the office to order one for you. However, the only way to know if your levels are going up is to have more than one Hgc test, so if you haven't had one yet you still won't know for a few days. The sooner you have one on the books, the sooner they can compare your levels.

I hate this waiting game. I just want to know one way or the other at this point. I sort of feel stupid for thinking I could have a problem free pregnancy at 40. And with DH out of the state I'm feeling pretty alone. Umph. I will call my dr today and see if I can do another round of blood work. My first us is suppose to be on the 18th. So we shall see if I make it that far. Thanks ladies for being here for support.

@debraanddustin‌ My u/s is on the 18th too. I have a feeling I won't need it but here's to hoping. I had hcg levels last week but I hadn't started bleeding yet which is why I'd really like to see one now. I'm sorry you're husband can't be with you right now. And it's definitely not stupid to think you can have a problem free pregnancy. Someone posted a mantra the other day - "I'm pregnant until someone tells me otherwise".

I can't say it eases my nerves entirely but it's a nice thing to remember.

Thanks. It's stinks. Called dr. I'm doing another Hcg after work. So I will know more when those numbers come back. She said blood bad, no cramps good. And that the bleeding started after intercourse was good too as opposed to being out of nowhere. Soooo. We wait.

I'm right there with you ladies. I had some spotting Saturday night when I was out of town and I freaked. Then I began having left sided pain so I called the RE. My hcg has had doubling times of 31 hours so that's been really good but still so nervous. I had an early u/s today but because I'm only 4w2d according to ovulation there wasn't anything to see besides a nice fluffy endometrial lining. She didn't see an ectopic at this point tho so I'm hopeful. They are gonna do another beta hcg tomorrow and an u/s at 6 wks. I'm praying this baby makes it. It's been so nerve wracking since it has taken me a year to get pregnant from my mc last year. I can't even visualize anything past 8wks because I'm so scared. FX for all you girls and for me!

I just turned 6w today. I had no spotting today just a tiny bit of pink when I wiped. I get home from work and I had a bigger spot of mucous brownish red color. My heart goes in my throat every time this kind of thing happens. I have no cramps or pain. First ultrasound is on Friday. Really just hoping everything is ok.

I have been spotting it stopped then started back up my levels are low did more blood work today and hoping my levels come up or it will most likely be a miscarriage really scared cause when I woke up this morning I was spotting a lot and clotting still spotting just very light anyone have any advice on what should expect

@kristin305 I don't have great advice except that this whole spotting thing seems to be a total crapshoot. Seriously. Some women spot and it leads to a miscarriage, others end up totally fine.

My spotting is on day 6. I had another hcg level drawn yesterday and the number went up just as they should. And then I started having more pronounced red bleeding at work tonight and cried the whole way home. My emotions can't handle much more of it. I hope your levels bring good news.

I'm 6 weeks 2 days today, and I had my first day of spotting this morning. I wiped and there was bright red blood and a couple little clots. I haven't had much more throughout the day. I've had mild on and off cramping since the beginning of the pregnancy. I'm so nervous!!

Today, and I apologize for the tmi, after having a bm I noticed a few light pink spots when I wiped. I freaked. Next time i used the bathroom nothing was left on th e toilet paper. Then just now I used the bathroom and had small bm, thee was a faint and I Mean faint light brown tinged spot but no pink. I was reading that some women have sensitive cervix and some bm or intercourse can cause this. I'm not sure If I should call my dr. I'm 6w4d w my first preg, had blood test and first culture yesterday ---awaiting results. First US isn't schedules until 12/23... ugh I've read so many things I don't know if I'm just making myself more nervous than anything.
