Someone woke up pissed, rolled to his belly, got more pissed, and was personally fucking offended about a diaper change. Fastest pee diaper to fresh diaper swap on record while he let me have it. Thank The Lord snuggles and a bottle are what he was after and he is quietly chugging and holding my hand now. Crib transition night two, I see you.
Reaching a point where a lot of the other threads are kind of not applicable, either because I'm not having a certain issue or just don't feel strongly about it either way.
Anyway, having that disconnect from the issues is opening me up to being able to see patterns in posts and that parenting preferences are just one more way that America must look odd to the rest the world (especially since I also have a lot of non-Bump international friends I've had parenting discussions with.) Kind of funny.
thats what keeps me coming back, a chance to laugh at y'all (yes, I did it!).

Big hugs, @Tferr02 - aren't you supposed to find out very soon where you're moving? I thought it was today... Maybe once you have that info, you'll feel less in limbo and time will go a bit faster until you're back with your DH. We're all rooting for you!
Thanks everyone! We were supposed to find out today. We found out a region of the US, but not the actual city. I'm in a special army family program because I have a lot of medical problems and need to see certain specialists. They have to make sure my drs are there, so we got delayed in finding out.
@Tferr soooo many hugs to you. Hang in there. How long is DH gone? Do you have help during the move? I'm assuming your military so if I were you, definitely use TMO! Good luck at the cardiology appt.
Thanks! We will be apart for 18 weeks. We have 6 weeks left. We have always used the movers, but I don't think we will be able to this time. He is at recruiter school now (he had 2 different schools back to back) and then he will go back to Ft Bragg and have 5 days to out process before signing out and driving to FL to come pick us up from my very unhelpful family's house. I don't think he will be able to schedule the movers to come to our storage unit that quickly. Luckily our region is the north FL, GA and SC area so wherever we get it won't be too far from Bragg to move ourselves. It's just one extra new stress in life
@Tferr02 you've got to catch a break soon, sweetheart. Sending you all the good sleep and little victory vibes, it won't be such hard solo work forever!
Vin thinks it's play time right now. Awesome. It's almost 4am and he has been up since around 2. He'll fall asleep on the boob but wake right back up as soon as he hit the crib.
@Tferr02 well let's just take a moment and be thankful y'all are moving out of Ft Bragg. We just left there about 6 months ago. Well, at least you'll be on the east coast and your DH will be home soon! Hang in there. My DH has been in training the past few weeks but luckily I only have two more left.
Tonight was our first arm free from swaddle night. He slept until 1, ate and fell right back to sleep. He woke up at 5, ate and then started smiling and talking up a storm. He normally falls asleep at the 5 wake up until about 730. I'm not a fan of 5 am party time especially since I have to wake up at 630 for DS1 dr appt.
Catching up on so many posts
We're totally starting teething over here too. My normally super happy baby is really fussy, gnawing on everything and there's a definite bump on the bottom right. They're getting too big!
@NoLaLinz she went to take a video and her storage was full I did get some hearty giggles last night and it totally made my day!
sending good thoughts your way @Tferr02@thomas930
@JessieAlbin Doing slightly better this night. It was clear 6:30 wasn't going to happen so I aimed for 7:30 instead and got about 8 as a bedtime. He woke up to feed at 10:30. He struggled falling asleep again until he rolled to his side. Then he slept 5 hours!
Feeding now after a diaper change.
We've had some fussing but no purple screams thankfully. Hopefully you don't have any more!
6:30 didn't work well for us either last night. Gonna follow your lead and shoot for 7:30 tonight. Last night WAS admittedly better than Sunday, but still super sucky. Up almost every hour to shush and calm her down. Am pretty proud I didn't nurse her at 4 like I usually would knowing she does it for comfort and a snack.
ETA: Also because I'm tired and lazy and don't want to scroll again -- what is the name of the holistic teething elixir stuff that makes babies love life again? We've got one popped up!
@gummybearstwo thanks for the inspiration! I have plans to make a pair of shorts in the blue and white stripe, maybe tonight or Wednesday. I also have some yellow fabric and some green fabric that I plan to make into additional bow ties since they just snap onto the onesie.
The only bummer is he's going to outgrow this so fast!
I feel like a terrible mother. DS woke up at 6:55 and was fussing, but not screaming. I turned the monitor off and was going to get up, but instead laid my head back down. Fast forward an hour, I wake up and jump out of bed and he is smiling in his sleep. He woke up 10 mins later and smiled when I walked in. I can't help but feel terrible because he was awake and hungry before and I basically ignored him (

Been there, done that! Don't beat yourself up about it - if he was starving hungry he'd have let you know, and more than likely he needed that extra hour of sleep anyway :-)
I have a HUGE over abundance of yellow squash and zucchini. Ideas of new recipes for it? I'm pretty sure I won't be eating zucchini bread for a while, and have many loaves stored in the freezer already. Any ideas on how I can cook the veggies and freeze it? I'd love to have some for LO this fall.

You can shave zuchs thin to make "pasta" for any pasta salad you usually make.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Her bone scan will be next week, I'm not sure how long it will take to get the results. Its a 3 hour test...how in the world are we supposed to keep a scared 5 year old still that long!
Sorry if I'm not around a lot for the next few weeks. All these appointments are keeping me really busy and my stress levels are a bit elevated. I am checking in and love titting and sending lots of good thoughts and prayers where needed.

This is my fav zucchini recipe. Tasty and super quick!
Anybody else having issues with the mobile app? Yesterday mine stopped loading. I haven't done the big update yet (long story) so I don't know WTF is wrong with it. And yet, when I go to the website, it routes me through the mobile site which works fine...?

DS1 appt went well! No mitral valve and the other part they worry about with Ehlers-Danlos looked perfect too! We still don't know why he randomly has episodes where he shakes and can't stand. The neurologist wants me to video them while the cardiologist wants me to take his heartrate and the mom in me just wants to hold my baby. They only happen every couple of months so who knows when the next one will happen.

I do exactly what @macgrs does. I have a list on my phone of everything I need to bring for LO and myself each day and I run through it before leaving. I do as much as I can the night before (making lunch, washing bottles/pump parts, starting the laundry, running the dishwasher etc.)
I just started to meal plan and it makes everything so much easier. I shop on Sunday afternoons and make a note in my phone with what meal I'll make each day and then a list of the ingredients I need to buy. It makes shopping so much quicker and I'm spending less because I'm not just buying whatever. If I'm making a new recipe I also paste the website link next to the day I'm making it so when I get home from work I can open it on my phone and go.

@thomas930 I hope they figure it out soon and so sorry that you are having to do all these tests. We have been lucky that all of DS1 tests we could bring a tablet to and he watched a movie.
I'm not sure that hours of screaming, getting my boobs beat up, and my complete loss of sanity was really worth the unexpected 7 hour stretch A gave us last night. I'd much prefer 2 shorter stretches if it translated into my kid not having the insanes for most of yesterday evening...

Yesterday I placed an order for DS2s birth certificate online and it came back "no record found". I tried to order it for Owen Wilson instead of Owen Ourlastname. Sleep deprivation much?

Me, jokingly: The recliner?
DH: Yeah, guess it's the couch for me. *grabs his pillow and heads for the door*

I have an appointment today to get my IUD checked, I'm thinking it's one of three things.
1) My Ute is just different after pregnancy and the weird numbness/pain is just my body adjusting.
2). The IUD shifted or might be poking into my UTE.
3) The IUD did fuck all and I'm KU. Plzgodno!
