got a notification that we had used over 75% of our data for the month already (ends 8/12). Freaking DH had used over 60% himself! I'm super annoyed. He says he turns his wifi off then "forgets" to turn it back on. I'm really getting frustrated that his forgetfulness keeps costing us $$. We don't have much as it is. I don't trust him to manage the remaining 14% responsibly so I paid to up it by 2G this month.

April 14 August Siggy Challenge- "This time last year.."
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Her bone scan will be next week, I'm not sure how long it will take to get the results. Its a 3 hour test...how in the world are we supposed to keep a scared 5 year old still that long!
Sorry if I'm not around a lot for the next few weeks. All these appointments are keeping me really busy and my stress levels are a bit elevated. I am checking in and love titting and sending lots of good thoughts and prayers where needed.
@thomas930 im sorry, i have complertely missed whats happening with your LO but wanted to say my thoughts are with you. Have you had a bone scan before? She wont have to be still for 3 hrs, more like short bursts of 5-10 minutes, total of about 40 depending on the scan. Have they explained how it works to you yet?
Angel baby June 2013, DD born 22 April 2014, BFP 10 Sept 2015 - Due 22 May 2016
@mommyofmac Curiosity is killing this cat ;-) If I remember correctly, you were due the same day as me (April 11) - when did you actually have your LO? I'm just wondering where all the babies that were due that day shook out :-?
My LO is sleeping in such an odd crooked position . I want to move his head but I don't dare wake him
I know I keep whining about this ( and I am trying to make changes so I can wear other clothes ) bht I am so sick of wearing the new mom uniform I just want to be able to wear jeans and even a t shirt without a muffin top when I stand and large rolls when I sit It's depressing I don't even bother getting dressed most days unless I'm going out now I just immediately put trackers or yoga pants on after showering and whatever color nursing tank I'm wearing that day
@avidkeo I've never had one. It was briefly explained to us, not many details. They said to expect it to last 3 hours, and that they are using dye.
Its suspected that she might have Peridioc Fever Syndrome and we are trying to figure out what one it is.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
Subbing at school while DH works from home with LO. I'm also getting a hair cut and mani pedi. Exciting!!!!
A big awkward hug to those in need. And high fives for every last one of you, because we're kicking ass at this mothering thing. Even on days it might not feel that way. For real.
I have a HUGE over abundance of yellow squash and zucchini. Ideas of new recipes for it? I'm pretty sure I won't be eating zucchini bread for a while, and have many loaves stored in the freezer already. Any ideas on how I can cook the veggies and freeze it? I'd love to have some for LO this fall.
Puree it and maybe add a little salt. You could treat it like applesauce, too and be able to store it in your pantry (that's what we're doing).
Now question: baby girl started doing something yesterday. She would pull off my boob toward the end of eating but then aggressively launch at it and latch again, suck a couple of times, pull away again and do the same thing repeatedly, sometimes smiling when she pulled away. I was crying because how hilarious it looked. But now she's been doing this with her hand, her blanket, toys. Could it be teething? (She's 3 months, 1 week.) When she would do it with my boob, she wasn't chewing or anything, but I don't know why else she'd be doing this. :-/

@thomas930 good luck! My dd (3) has had unexplained fevers several times over the past year. After hearing "virus" every time I started asking more questions and the doctor suggested it could be Periodic Fever Syndrome. She asked me to track them and look for a pattern, so that's where we are. I hope you get some answers soon!

I want to vent about ALL the things, the past few days have been tough mentally and I'm just not sure how I'm going to take care of everything as we transition back to football preseason, work, daycare. I still am having a hard time getting anything accomplished without all my usual commitments.
@macgrs I hope your day turned around. If not, I hope that some beer and ice cream (or whatever else lights your bulb) is in the near future.
@thomas930 I'm crossing my fingers for your LO's appt. Hopefully you get answers and can move on with treatment and healing. I cant imagine how stressful this must be for you. Sending alllllllll the hugs and t+p's to you.
@purespark gl with the daycare sitch. Hoping that Calli's recommendation works out and is super awesome.
@mamahann I'm totally stealing your organizational ideas for when I go back to work at the end of August. I'm already envisioning how crazy it is going to be.
@mommyofmac Curiosity is killing this cat ;-) If I remember correctly, you were due the same day as me (April 11) - when did you actually have your LO? I'm just wondering where all the babies that were due that day shook out :-?
Yes indeed... My little guy decided to show up on his due date, April 11th! My water broke on Thursday and he thought he would wait it out until he was supposed to get here...and at 12:49 am Friday morning he graced me with all of his beauty!!!
What about you @Eireyes
My LO decided to make an appearance one day early - apparently he knew his parents prefer to be just a little early rather than right on time ;-)
I'm giving up and quitting. Just for a day. Headed out of town into total guiltless isolation except I'm feeling guilty as all hell. But if I do one more minute of this life I'm not going to make it.
I hate everything.
Eta: God. That was dramatic. Even for me. Had a horrible fight with hubster about sex which moved into how I'm selfish with all of my needs. He's not incorrect and I'm baffled with how to handle all of this.
@PoppySeedWindsor Take your much needed break and don't feel guilty! Not sure what your sex fight was about, but I remember you saying you did it twice in one day this week- you are an amazing wife!! You keep everything together while working from home, raising a wonderful daughter, and sharing yummy recipes with A14!
I gave the dogs a bath on the front porch and had Liam in the bumbo by us but a little ways away so he didn't get wet. Well I guess June thought he needed a bath too because when I let her go she bee-lined it to him and shook her water off all over him. Lol I died laughing. His "wtf just happened to me" expression was hilarious.

@PoppySeedWindsor enjoy some you time - you sure all hell deserve it. *hugs*
My thoughts are with all the ladies dealing with LOs with health issues.
H would eat exclusively meat (steak and bacon specifically) if I didn't practically force-feed him anything else.
Seamus has taken a strong dislike to Righty in the past few days. It's no fun when he yanks angrily on my nipple and cries as though there's no milk there. While I know there's only half or 2/3s of what is in Lefty, it'll only get worse if he won't drink from it
I'm having a really hard time lately with my allover stretchmarks, discolored dinner plate nipples, and lopsided boobs that have lost their density (?) and ability to defy gravity. I love breast feeding but I feel like my body is completely scrapped in unsalvageable ways - it's not even a question of losing weight and toning muscle.

Does anyone else feel a bit like a cow when attached to the machine?? Still I shouldn't complain, I'm sitting on my own in my office on my computer. I'm the kind of nerd that will work while pumping - only cause I can.
Just so you know my office is completely out of the way, tucked into the corner of my xray room where I shut the main door, and my office door. Complete privacy!
And I only have one patient booked today so looks like a pumping/study day for me! fun.

@PoppySeedWindsor can I just say that your needs aren't selfish??? You are working and providing for your family while staying home and raising a baby! Either one of those is a full time job. It's not selfish of you to need to take a break! Be kind to yourself, lady.

@avidkeo lucky you! I pumped at work for the first time today and it was...interesting. We literally only have one space with a door, my director's office, so when it's time to pump I need to go in and kick her out. It's going to get old fast to have to do that multiple times per day.
@mamrotu73 it's pretty similar, and I'll totally admit that pumping has given me a much better understanding of cows.
You plug the milker into a pipeline with vacuum which brings the milk from all the cows to te tank (couldn't tell you about robot milkers though) and there is also a "pulsator" which provides the rythm. There is only one setting (nothing seperate for letdown).
Basically wash and/or predip the 4 teats with alcohol, enough to help stimulate letdown ( this is generally enough since they are only milked 2-3 times a day) and put the milked on. Just like a woman, if the milk isn't being let down or emptying out properly massaging the udder can help. After milking a sterile dip helps prevent infection.
"Let's go have tacos for my birthday! I'm gonna dress up, do my hair and make up, wear heels, and... Um now I'm crying all my makeup off because there isn't a single scrap of clothing in this house that flatters this fat gross shape." (
As I headed off to pump the other day, I told my coworker I was going to practice my dairy cow impersonation. When I was done, I greeted her with "Mooo!"

Oh thats frustrating!! Pumping at work is hard enough without making it an additional chore like that!
@Roufi very scientific! Having grown up on a dairy farm I was always fascinated by it. Wonder if I can get away with alcohol at work, i'ts to help let down and all that...
