Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )

I finally figured out my next tattoo.. well what I want it to say at least.

I'm going to get the number '423' and a line from a song that is near to my heart.

423(4 very significant meanings)- this is the room number that both of my children were born in and two of the best moments of my life.

4- April- DH was born, He and I became began our chain and is the first link in my heart. (There are just the 4 of us)

2- February- DD was born, my first child and born second link in our family

3- March- DS was born, my second child and the third and final link, locking our family into place.

The lyric is "I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow", from Danny Boy.

My big, manly DH just asked if I could help him adjust the baby carrier so he could wear LO and go for a walk with her. Never thought I'd see the day that happened. So sweet. :x

Agreed. I make him go wash/prep bottles for the next day. When he finishes that, he comes and sits by me instead of going to bed because he "feels bad" that I have to stay up to pump...

I never feel smarter than when I watch Teen Jeopardy!. I got approximately 97% of the questions correct. IRL, pregnancy/motherhood has caused me to become dumb as a bag of bricks.

So we had a huge hospital bill (I've mentioned it before) and while we could pay it, we'd be a little strapped for a bit. DH called the office today and they knocked 25% off if we paid in full! Took him a total of 5 minutes on the phone. Crazy how quickly they were willing to discount it!

Stupid question, but people frequent this thread so I'm asking here (sorry). Is the expiration date:

12JAN17

For January 12th 2017 or January 17th 2012??

The Canadian guidelines say the year is first by law (so it's the latter), however I'm in the US and the FDA does not regulate nor require expiration dates on food other than infant formula.

I feel that I've been delivered expired product, however I want to be sure.  If it is so, it also means that I fed my dogs an entire case of expired dog food from 4 years ago from my previous order.  I realize that expiration dates aren't written in stone however 2+ years seems excessive enough to proceed with caution.  Also in the reviews this site has a bad track record for selling expired product.

I would read it as expiring in 2017. Does it also have a date for when it was packaged? That might help you to be able to understand when the exp. date maybe.

Thanks. I decided to call the manufacturer, but will have to wait for business hours. I already called the retailer and complained and they refunded this order and gave me a credit for the previous. But now I am questioning it. In the past though they have sent me enzyme cleaner that was expired, because it was clearly printed 2011 so it makes me not trust them.

That was probably the best thing to do then. I did think it was weird that they didn't have the full year printed. I hope you get everything worked out quickly!

Eta: God. That was dramatic. Even for me. Had a horrible fight with hubster about sex which moved into how I'm selfish with all of my needs. He's not incorrect and I'm baffled with how to handle all of this.

*snuggle* I nearly lost it myself earlier. A was screaming bloodyfucking murder the whole way to and from dropping one of my niece's friends off so niece could come help me for the night. This was about a 20 minute drive each way. On the way back I snapped and pounded my fist into the middle of the steering wheel several times, until I was afraid I'd broken the damn thing. Went back to SIL's house to see if I could get A to calm the hell down, texted DH once there that I was giving consideration to drowning myself in the tub (though I've missed about a week of my antidepressants, too focused on remembering A's medicine every day).

The point of that narrative is that we all have our breaking points, and we have to try to understand that sometimes it happens. Getting away is necessary for your health and sanity, so try not to feel guilty.

Ok i risk bringing up a touchy subject... But call me a cat, curiosity got the better of me. What happened with the snail? I gather something came to head? I missed so much while I was MIA!

I am nervous I will have one (or several) when I go to a wedding this weekend. Was it awesome or terrible? I really am hoping for terrible. Maybe I will have the power to say no!

The first one was pretty icky and made me a tad dizzy but it didn't stop me from having another. I used to be a heavy smoker so if I end up a casual social smoker it's a vast improvement though I would hope to stay smoke free. Alcohol makes the whole thing SO much harder though.

Their account was banned, but not an IP ban, and nobody here confessed. People had suspicions but nothing was ever confirmed.

What a letdown... Had potential but like GC half the fun was in the reveal! Though snail was more creepy than fun

I'm 80% convinced that our rough night so far was caused by DH putting A's diaper on too tight (which I finally discovered at 3am). He took the brunt of the screaming/fussing so I could sleep, so I almost don't have the heart to tell him....

DS hasn't pooped since Sunday. He's suuuuuper gassy and seems really uncomfortable. I tried to use a lubed thermometer to get things moving last night but no luck so far. Poor kid!

I smoked for 15 years and quit when pregnant
Cravings still drive me crazy but it's just not worth it to me Anymore. I took a drag after three months and was almost sick. Just tastes so gross now.

Ugh LO went to bed good but woke at 11:30, 2:00 5:00 and 7:30/ for the day
I'm tired and In desperate need of shower as I didn't get one yesterday because I didn't get even a ten min break yesterday DH was too "busy"
Aiming for shower at first nap but we all know how that goes

Okay, not really. A night on my own did me lots of good last night. Went out to sushi, rented movies in my hotel, talked with friends I haven't had the time to talk with, even went to a bar and ordered a ginger beer (woooooah living large). It was pretty great, except for the whole having to express thing and missing Merriwether like crazy. I did sleep 7 hours straight, however.

Seeing my doc for PPD this afternoon.

RE: High school. I was THE ultimate goody two shoes. I was in every club, ran cross country and track, had a 4.0, never stayed out past my curfew, etc.

Chain smoked a pack of cigarettes after I broke up with my old boyfriend who I was with while I kissed hubster for the first time. They were besties and hubster (ex smoker) left a pack of cigarettes in my car. In an ultimate move of French New Wave drama, I smoked the remainder of those cigarettes and then bought another pack. Pathetic. 

@dani I bet you do have a jailhouse tattoo. Just saying ;-)

ALSO Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. I'm feeling like I've got my head on straight and can tackle all the bullshit I have to work through with hubster.

I've never tried a cigarette. My mom is a heavy cig smoker and it's always disgusted me to the point that I never felt the need to smoke them.

Cigars on the other hand I've had plenty of.

@hordol favorite brand of cigars? Hubster and I used to do Sunday Cigar Strolls before we found out we were pregnant. Ahhh I miss those days.

Hah I don't really have a favorite brand. It's whatever my uncle gives me! I only smoke them at family functions and back in the day I smoked them at bonfires with friends, though once again whatever brand it was just happened to be what my friend bought.

And I guess I'm a mooch lol.
