Re: UO
You, my dear sweetheart, are a complete ignorant, crazy moron. It's one thing to have your own religious beliefs, but leave it at that. Don't come on to a public forum preaching with your holier than thou crap, that those who have had or will have a c-section did not BIRTH their babies and are basically weak people. To that I am speechless that someone as "religious" as you claim to be would do such a thing.
I also will not stoop to your level and tell you I wish you have a c-section, or wish PPD on you, because I would not wish EITHER of those on ANYONE. I'm not that cruel of a person, sure I may be a bitch, but I'm not cruel.
I had to have an emergency c-section, which I do not need to explain to you why, because it wouldn't matter, I'm apparently not a mother. I wouldn't be surprised if you asked women who have had c-sections, that most of them said it was absolutely not the way they wanted the birth of their child to go. While I am incredibly thankful for the doctors taking the action they did at the time to save my child, but also myself so my child has his mother, it absolutely DESTROYED me that I did not have the birth I wanted. Never mind having the whole labor process going the way it did. What I went through I also would never wish on anyone, PTSD caused by the labor/birth of your child is almost, if not, just as horrible to suffer as PPD.
I also had severe PPD and was in fact hospitalized for it. I went willingly to BENEFIT my child. I know that one day he will thank me for being STRONG enough to seek the help I clearly needed to get better. I hope that it will also show him that there is no shame in seeking the help of others when you need it.
What I WILL do, is pray ever so hard that some day, who ever your "highest power" is, teaches you compassion and humility toward other human beings. I will pray ever so hard for you that some day realize the true ignorance in your words.
I do not feel sorry for you, I pity you.
@redrosepinkdaisy
As a woman who gave birth vaginally and with no drugs I can tell you that they dont give you an award when you go med free. There is no ticker tape parade outside your house for having a baby the old fashioned way.
I can also tell you this....you want to free your mind and prepare yourself for birth? Stop judging other women and how they choose or don't choose to give birth. A baby coming out of their mother and breathing their first breath is the most pure and beautiful thing no matter if that happens with or without medical assistance. I hope that when you hold your poor unfortunate future cult member for the first time you see him/her not as a means of attaining some kind of creepy perfection of your soul through labour but as the gorgeous little miracle that they are. When I look at my sweet 4 month old DD I can tell you that I would never have left her birth up to chance. I would have told the doctor to dig her out with rabid badgers if that was the only way. I truly hope that you start to feel an iota of this kind of love for your child and make the right choice should a medical intervention be necessary. Good luck to you and your child.

1. I hate all of the abbreviations that are used. I think they are confusing and definitely prefer to write out a word. I have to google abbreviations just to know what people are talking about.
2. I think that all of the negativity on this forum is disgusting. The whole point of unpopular opinions is that they are just that, unpopular and opinions. I think that lack of kindness and respect for other peoples opinions (whether a person agrees with them or not) is just disappointing. I joined to be uplifted and supported by other women in similar situations to myself.
yeah i'm kinda with you there. people coming here from other boards just to call this person a cunt or wish horrible medical complications on her seems excessive. she said something really ridiculous and awful. she's obviously been completely brainwashed by somebody. i just hope her child survives long enough to read a book or two and realize it's parents are nuts. this thread probably doesn't need to carry on another 20 pages.
there's also a whole lot of bullying here towards people who aren't @redrose, all seems kinda juvenile to me.
I don't go here, but having recently produced a second-gen non-born (darn hips just don't open up after 36 hours of active labor in my family), I just wanted to say May 2013 was here... AGAIN!
Unable to even.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
Way to be a downer...
I take issue with people who think CPS is their personal moral police...I've worked with CPS, and every moron who calls them over an issue like a mom who quit smoking in their first trimester takes away from the help they could offer to families and children who are truly experiencing abuse. CPS is incredibly overworked and underfunded. People who stand on their high horses and threaten to call them because they don't like the way another child is being parented deserve throat punches.
@redrosepinkdaisy My God helps those who helps themselves. I'm sorry your Higher Power sucks so much.

Another May 2013 Mom
@RedrosePinkDaisy
I am hopeful this is MUD. In the event it is not, here is what I have to say. Being a mom isn't about how your baby comes into this world... perhaps the mother delivers the baby vaginally or csection (which BTW is a delivery), maybe they use a surrogate due to medical issues, and maybe (BRACE YOURSELF) the baby is delivered by someone else and adopted. Being a mom is holding that child for the first time and knowing you would do ANYTHING in this world to protect him/her. A mom would lay her life down for her child if it meant that child's safety. That is what being a mother is.
You say that it is your Higher Power's will and take offense when people call it a cult. Let me give you m-w's definition of a cult and we will see if it fits your explanation:a small religious group (check) that is not part of a larger and more accepted religion (check) and that has beliefs regarded by many people as extreme or dangerous (hmm.. willing to murder your baby - CHECK).
I really hope that you are not faced with a life and death decision for your baby's sake. My "surgically extracted" son was taken from me because he was physically too large for my anatomy. Should I have had bones broken and his life endangered so that I could push him out? NO. Did I deliver him... Did I give birth - YES. I will be praying that your baby is born strong and healthy because he obviously will not be able to count on you.
I also pray that if this is not MUD, you will never conceive another child... for the child's sake. I am hopeful this is MUD and you are sitting back laughing at all of this, not pregnant at all. IT makes you a db and psychotic to even think it up, but at least a child's life isn't in danger.

Lurking from Jan 14 ... you ladies are making history!!!
My first thought for redrosepinkdaisy was Scientology ... but after doing some googling, even they believe that should a C-section be necessary, it should be done, as goes with the paid medications. They are more about a Silent Birth.
I am curious as to what this cray cray's higher power is!!
So Christians that raise their children in that faith are forcing that on their child as well? Give me a freakin break. As parents we make decisions for our children until they are capable of making their own choices.
HAHAHA I love how Tim got thrown into this thread!! That just made my day!
J14 here! Have a little song just because I think it is hilarious and fits this comment perfectly.
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air
In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
the License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air!
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!"
Looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air
You're a waste of space.
And I just read 22 PAGES of hot mess. I want a cookie damnit!
Not when there's a 14/15 year age difference between your kids they're not!
Trust me OP, you are a moron. Had I not had a c section DS would have died. I hope that in the middle of labor with your child you don't hear the doctor say that your child's heart has stopped beating. That was the single most scary moment of my life. Thank god for "extractions" otherwise mine and millions of other children would die. And trust me, I gave birth to my child and have the scars to prove it.
Idiot.
