Birth plans are a joke. I discussed mine with my doctor and he did nothing that he agreed to ahead of time. It was nothing like I went into it hoping it would be, however it ended up perfectly ok and actually better than it could have been. I worry this time since I'm pretty much limited to the same doctor.
My UO: The signatures on TB that explain all the details of TTC are silly to me. In addition, the siggys that are really long and having more than one ticker for your pregnancy are annoying.
When you have trouble TTC and are on a board feel of people with trouble, it really helps to keep stories straight so I don't mind them. I'm not really sure how this is different than the people that have a ticker for each kid they were lucky enough to have. Tickers, yeah you only need one.
The responsible thing to do is quit before getting KU. If she did suffer MC in the past, now we know why. All I'm saying is, take some responsibility...your creating a helpless human life!
JFC, Well aren't you a peach. Why don't you get off your high horse Judgy McJudgerpants.
Thanks! I actually am proud of myself. I wish I never would have picked it up again after DS was born (don't worry, it was way after and I didn't breast feed, he's 3 now) and this PG was a surprise and we are thrilled. I quit because I WAS taking responsibility for myself and DH quit too. I didn't use patches or medications and plan on it being a lifetime change. Not that It's anyone's business, but no, I have never miscarried, and I'm sorry for all if the ladies out there who have. However, I'm a fantastic mother so I don't see CPS anywhere in my future

Wow, I can't believe I made it to the end of this. I have no words, so I'll speak through gifs tonight instead, I couldn't choose just one after that clusterfuck.
And that is all....buh bye from A14! Good luck guys.
I am extremely impressed with the time and dedication on your gifs. I also enjoy the ones you chose because they are amazing!
Wow I actually read through 18 pages and I can only echo just about everything PPs have said.
@redrosepinkdaisy, I elected to have a csection even before ttc for important medical reasons. And I will happily have another RCS for my second and third child should I decide to have them.
And I say with 100% confidence, I am 10 times the mother and woman you will ever be.
I don't agree with csections being considered births or deliveries, to me it's an insult to mothers that actually did birth their children. Csections are surgical extractions and should be referred to as such.
1. You've obviously never been in the position of losing your baby if you didn't have her "surgically extracted".
2. Go f*** yourself.
3. I've talked to plenty of moms who had their babies vaginally, and they've said there's no way they could have had a csection cause the recovery is horrible! So stfu. And anything in which your baby is born into the world is considered a birthing experience or delivery.
And 4. I've had both deliveries and I promise you I would not wish a csec on anyone! except you. A vaginal delivery was a cake walk to that shit. Women who have had multiple csec are like super here's in my book, recovery is so much harder!
5. Go fu€k yourself agin.
PS. I don't belong here but that just really pissed me off.
Tomorrow will be a new day, I'm no longer standing to be insulted in this post. Have a good night hopefully we can start fresh.
Dude, The Bump never forgets unadulterated douchieness. Also, there's no amount of apologizing that you can do that will make up for the hurt you've caused for some of the women here. If you really want to start over, may I suggest a new SN and more tolerance?
We do not put anything unnatural into our bodies as it alters our true design. We will not have our child's pure body injected with unknown substances.
We do not put anything unnatural into our bodies as it alters our true design. We will not have our child's pure body injected with unknown substances.
So, You are not only an idiot, but you are also a danger to society. I hope your cult gets raided and whatever kids are there get taken into care. You know, where they can have vaccinations and hell, Advil every now and then.
Well that was fun...I am going back home to my birth month now.... Reading this garbage from red rose bat shit crazy has made me appreciate all the women I communicate with on a daily basis. Sorry May ladies that this pyschopath learned how to use a computer, let's hope she forgets how very soon.
Religious freedom, don't push your beliefs on other people.
Are you for real? You started this with religion. You must be stupider than I thought. Please go back to your cult, they miss you. The rest of us will continue living our lives without your ignorance.
We do not put anything unnatural into our bodies as it alters our true design. We will not have our child's pure body injected with unknown substances.
What you shouldn't be allowed to have, is a child. Bitch.
Btcruiserlove: quitting smoking at ANY point is better than not even trying to. So just shut it. CPS sure as shit isn't going to snatch a baby from his/her mother at birth because she QUIT smoking in her first trimester. JFC, you are an idiot.
RRPD: you're just fucked. From every which way. There is nothing more I can say that hasn't already been said. You has the insanes.
Wow what an idiot, sorry for you ladies listening to her hypocrisy. Jan 13 mama here. Thank God for my surgical extraction or my DD wouldn't be here today. Redrose I hope next May you endure 24 hours of labor a baby in stress with a nonresponsive heart rate and have to have an emergency surgical extraction. . Then lets see if while you are recovering from major surgery how you feel. I would certainly hope that your opinion would be greatly differen, hopefully your not so arrogant and ignorant as to choose to let your unborn child die all in the damn name of avoiding your surgical extraction. What a dumb ass seriously get over it. Your pathetic

It is #2 on the list. As a mom who has suffered miscarriage, I cannot fathom why anyone would knowing harm their unborn child. To me this is just as bad as "no Caesarian" lady.
Lurking from Feb 14
1. The miscarriage smoking lady...grow the F up. It is extremely horrible to say that she deserves a miscarriage. Also, CPS has a ton of more shit to take care of than a Mother who wasn't able to quit smoking for 9 weeks. Also, no one ever deserves to lose a child. No one.
2. To the "higher power lady", what sort of drugs are you on? Like for real? You have to be in a cult, because no religion that I know of would ever think it's okay to kill a child.
I never once said she deserves a miscarriage. Get your facts straight. I said smoking is a cause for miscarriage...who knew that a smoking pregnant woman wouldn't be an unpopular opinion.
Smoking while pregnant=Unpopular, telling a woman she caused her miscarriage (assuming she had one) that's shitty.
Seriously, you GOT A FREE PASS, you're ass is about to get flamed if you don't move along...like now. Don't let the door hit you, don't look back, we are not watching you leave, you are now unliked. GO.
Says the great and powerful leader. I didn't come in here to make stranger friends. It isn't horrible to say to someone who is knowingly causing harm to their unborn fetus, that if they were to miscarry, that could be a cause. It is a medical known fact, not an unpopular opinion. Flame away...I'll enjoy every minute of the entertainment.
FFS. I don't go here, but seriously, step away from the fucking keyboard before you get your ass handed to you. You may have already, it's hard to keep up with all the BSC in this thread. Smoking is extraordinarily hard to give up. The withdrawal symptoms can be awful, painful, and worse. Seriously, if you're still here... Fucking LEAVE. No one is advocating smoking while pregnant, but damned if I/we won't support someone who suffers to quit for their baby's life, at any point.
Ok first off thank you for distracting me from having my head down the toilet all morning.
Secondly it's so nice to know that by providing CPR and life saving medical intervention at work everyday I am going against God's wishes. I'm catholic and was of the understanding that the development of technology and medical interventions was for the survival of the human race, now I'm more educated that we should ignore it all and just die off.
I guess I better ring work and resign. No need to go in and actually help save lives, it's against God's wishes y'all.
I didn't make it through all of this thread but I just wanted to leave my two bits:
I went through 18 hrs of labor without an epidural to find out I only dilated to a 2. Finally got the epidural when my blood pressure plummeted and my baby's heart rate dropped to almost nothing. You bet your damn pants I'm going to save her life and birth her a different way than I had intended. She is a beautiful girl and I wouldn't change a thing about my c-section.
My sister in law had hellp syndrome (severe preeclampsia) and had to have a c-section at 27 weeks pregnant to save her and her sweet baby. The baby has now been in the nicu for two months and blesses the lives of all who see her tiny, frail body but giant spirit.
I thank God for our precious babies and He gives us knowledge and technology to further bless our lives.
I know it's an unpopular opinion- thus the reason it's here. I think Obamacare is a joke-- and I'm not a flaming republican.. Obamacare has SOME good things in it-- but the majority of it is so ridiculous it's painful. The things it will do to our Healthcare-- I hope nobody in your family ever has a serious medical concern. I've done my research- have you? Do you know what it will do to medical research?
1. If you use the term "Obamacare", you automatically seem uneducated on the subject.
2. I read all of your follow ups but still haven't seen you give any valid support for your claim or where you got this idea - as a research scientist I am interested to know this info (it does affect my livelihood, after all...)
3. You know what *is* affecting medical research? The current government shutdown.
@LauraT25 THANK YOU for summing up my feelings exactly about this! Yes, there is a LOT of BSC here...and I think the many many pp's have sufficiently covered my disgust with RRPD and BTCruiserLove. But this one was festering and gnawing away at me...so thank you.
Ok so you won't vaccinate your kids, you don't believe in medical intervention but you are sitting on the Internet, probably using a phone which I thought your whack ass would assume leaks radiation and you are blasting other women for putting the lives of those children first? Where in your brainwashed mind does this make sense?
@redrosepinkdaisy You've answered other's questions. When will you answer mine? I'm dying to know who this "we" is you keep referring to. Is it your husband, your sister wives, the cult circle, Tim? Andplusalso, I agree with pp. You definitely have the insanes.
We do not put anything unnatural into our bodies as it alters our true design. We will not have our child's pure body injected with unknown substances.
I'm guessing you (as in your, too strange for words, circle) home school your children?
We do not put anything unnatural into our bodies as it alters our true design. We will not have our child's pure body injected with unknown substances.
My Doctor saved my life and the life of my 36 weeker by giving me a C-section. I felt that was a better situation than me bleeding out from Placenta Previa and my baby dying as well.
We all have our beliefs and for our family it does not include medical intervention or surgical procedures. I feel it's rude that members here have lashed out without knowing me, my background or any of my reasoning.
Wait. So what happens if your kid doesn't come out of your vagina? Are you prepared to kill yourself and your child?
In that situation we would place our lives in the hands of Our Highest Power. In a life or death situation man simply can not alter the intended fate, that can only be done thru divine intervention. If death was our intended fate it would occur irregardless of a csection.
Anyway this is an opinion post, several others have stated theirs so why don't all the critics go pick those apart too.
@redrosepinkdaisy So what about all the moms that go in knowing the only way to have a baby is to have a c-section? Should they just not bother with getting pregnant because they can not have it vaginally? You come in here guns a blazing, come back in 7-8 months when you hopefully have the kid. And when I say hopefully I mean that should the need arise to have a c-section I hope for your sake you take it. Placing it in gods hands is one thing being an idiot is anther, I hope you talk to your religious leader about this maybe they can set your ass straight. BTW are you planning on having this baby at home, because I know no hospital will allow you to refuse a c-section and they will just wait until you are passed out and then it become implied consent and they will do everything in their power to save your life and your childs life. They can do that too because a birth plan is not a binding advanced directive, I hope you get a clue before your kid is born life is not always going to go as planned ad god only helps those who help themselves. I'm sure you have insulted alot of the moms who had to have a c-section, oh and one more thing:
I just read all 20 pages of this.....wow! I came here to post my UO, which I still plan on getting to, but first:
@RedRosePinkDaisy: Are you insane? I am big on to each their own, but that was more than an UO, it was masochism. I don't know anyone who just hoped and prayed for a C-section, but all of the mothers that I know that have required one have hoped and prayed that their baby would be safe and healthy. I certainly am hoping for a vaginal birth, but after carrying this baby for 9 months, I can guarantee that I would absolutely not choose an option that would kill my child or myself. I sincerely hope that you don't have to make that decision, because I think that you are too uneducated to make the right choice. It is not a matter of opinion, but a matter of fact. You DO NOT choose to kill a baby that you carried to term. Birth is birth regardless of method. How did you not know that you would be crucified here? You did....and you did it on purpose. There is no new day for you. No one will forgive you....EVER. On top of all of that, what if your child is having a medical issue? I have a son who required heart surgery to SAVE HIS LIFE. He was 10 months old at the time. Would you decline a life saving surgery for your child? I don't know if you have children or not, but if this is your first, I guarantee you will leave your cult/group/religion/small spiritual circle to save the child's life. That or you just don't love your child. GTFO and don't come back.
@btcruisermom: I am a smoker. I am using nicotine patches to quit cold turkey. Should CPS be called on me as well? I am doing the very best I can for my baby, as I am sure that you are as well. I know lots of women don't quit but go on to have healthy babies. No, it is not a great thing. However, the woman you are bashing so hard did quit. She did the best she could. Shame on you. I hope you also GTFO and don't come back because opinions like yours are stupid, and we don't need them. Also, go and read your lame ass WebMD link again. Smoking is listed under #3 as possible causes of miscarriage. POSSIBLE. It is not that smoking causes miscarriage, it is that many behaviors can contribute. You are ridiculous. Trying to defend a post saying that CPS should go after that woman's kids is moronic. I hope nothing bad happens in your pregnancy because a whole bunch of women on this board might try to tell you what caused it.
Now, My UO of the day is this:
This is my last pregnancy and I am no longer a college student struggling financially. I intend to buy all kinds of new things for this baby and enjoy the shopping and decorating. I am so tired of people telling me the instant that they find out I am pregnant that I should go to consignment stores to buy all of my things. Then, when I politely decline, they incessantly inform me of how much money I can save and blah, blah, blah. I simply want to do all the things I couldn't before and I don't think I should be judged or labeled as stuck up because of it. I have no problem with used items, I'm just looking forward to picking and buying all of my own things!

Sweet! I'll go tell my 16 yo cousin with an unplanned pregnancy to go smoke some cigs and it will make it all better. Seriously, don't you think if there was ANYTHING that directly caused miscarriages there would be a lot less abortions, unwanted pregnancies in the world? Increases risk - maybe. Cause? Not even close.
