Birth plans are a joke.  I discussed mine with my doctor and he did nothing that he agreed to ahead of time.  It was nothing like I went into it hoping it would be, however it ended up perfectly ok and actually better than it could have been.  I worry this time since I'm pretty much limited to the same doctor.

My UO:  The signatures on TB that explain all the details of TTC are silly to me.  In addition, the siggys that are really long and having more than one ticker for your pregnancy are annoying.

When you have trouble TTC and are on a board feel of people with trouble, it really helps to keep stories straight so I don't mind them. I'm not really sure how this is different than the people that have a ticker for each kid they were lucky enough to have.
Tickers, yeah you only need one.

Christian Science doesn't. Not sure about JW.
Most Christian Scientists would also have a c-section if medically needed

I don't agree with csections being considered births or deliveries, to me it's an insult to mothers that actually did birth their children. Csections are surgical extractions and should be referred to as such.
    1. You've obviously never been in the position of losing your baby if you didn't have her "surgically extracted". 2. Go f*** yourself. 3. I've talked to plenty of moms who had their babies vaginally, and they've said there's no way they could have had a csection cause the recovery is horrible! So stfu. And anything in which your baby is born into the world is considered a birthing experience or delivery.

And 4. I've had both deliveries and I promise you I would not wish a csec on anyone! except you. A vaginal delivery was a cake walk to that shit. Women who have had multiple csec are like super here's in my book, recovery is so much harder!

    5. Go fu€k yourself agin.

PS. I don't belong here but that just really pissed me off.

  • I think redrose has seen Wanderlust too many times. Do me a favor? Let me know how the placenta soup tastes?

I don't care for soup, we will be making smoothies and having a planting ceremony. P.s. I know your comment was just a sarcastic sideways insult.
  • Well that was fun...I am going back home to my birth month now.... Reading this garbage from red rose bat shit crazy has made me appreciate all the women I communicate with on a daily basis. Sorry May ladies that this pyschopath learned how to use a computer, let's hope she forgets how very soon.

Are you for real? You started this with religion. You must be stupider than I thought. Please go back to your cult, they miss you. The rest of us will continue living our lives without your ignorance.

  • Wow what an idiot, sorry for you ladies listening to her hypocrisy. Jan 13 mama here. Thank God for my surgical extraction or my DD wouldn't be here today. Redrose I hope next May you endure 24 hours of labor a baby in stress with a nonresponsive heart rate and have to have an emergency surgical extraction. . Then lets see if while you are recovering from major surgery how you feel. I would certainly hope that your opinion would be greatly differen, hopefully your not so arrogant and ignorant as to choose to let your unborn child die all in the damn name of avoiding your surgical extraction. What a dumb ass seriously get over it. Your pathetic

  • I didn't make it through all of this thread but I just wanted to leave my two bits:

I went through 18 hrs of labor without an epidural to find out I only dilated to a 2. Finally got the epidural when my blood pressure plummeted and my baby's heart rate dropped to almost nothing. You bet your damn pants I'm going to save her life and birth her a different way than I had intended. She is a beautiful girl and I wouldn't change a thing about my c-section.

My sister in law had hellp syndrome (severe preeclampsia) and had to have a c-section at 27 weeks pregnant to save her and her sweet baby. The baby has now been in the nicu for two months and blesses the lives of all who see her tiny, frail body but giant spirit.

I thank God for our precious babies and He gives us knowledge and technology to further bless our lives.

That's only if your baby survives.
  • Haha, just because I want to offend you:

My Doctor saved my life and the life of my 36 weeker by giving me a C-section. I felt that was a better situation than me bleeding out from Placenta Previa and my baby dying as well.

    BTW: I'm still calling MUD.

We all have our beliefs and for our family it does not include medical intervention or surgical procedures. I feel it's rude that members here have lashed out without knowing me, my background or any of my reasoning.
Wait. So what happens if your kid doesn't come out of your vagina? Are you prepared to kill yourself and your child?
In that situation we would place our lives in the hands of Our Highest Power. In a life or death situation man simply can not alter the intended fate, that can only be done thru divine intervention. If death was our intended fate it would occur irregardless of a csection. Anyway this is an opinion post, several others have stated theirs so why don't all the critics go pick those apart too.
IRREGARDLESS IS NOT A VALID WORD.
@missyishere  - Sad fact I learned today - irregardless is used SO OFTEN, that Miram, Websters, and other dictionaries and reference books have decided to add it in the past decade or so.  https://www.thefreedictionary.com/irregardless https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irregardless

It is basically the new 'a'int'.  :/
Sadly, that is true. It seriously makes my brain hurt!

  • @redrosepinkdaisy So what about all the moms that go in knowing the only way to have a baby is to have a c-section? Should they just not bother with getting pregnant because they can not have it vaginally? You come in here guns a blazing, come back in 7-8 months when you hopefully have the kid. And when I say hopefully I mean that should the need arise to have a c-section I hope for your sake you take it. Placing it in gods hands is one thing being an idiot is anther, I hope you talk to your religious leader about this maybe they can set your ass straight. BTW are you planning on having this baby at home, because I know no hospital will allow you to refuse a c-section and they will just wait until you are passed out and then it become implied consent and they will do everything in their power to save your life and your childs life. They can do that too because a birth plan is not a binding advanced directive, I hope you get a clue before your kid is born life is not always going to go as planned ad god only helps those who help themselves. I'm sure you have insulted alot of the moms who had to have a c-section, oh and one more thing:

    Perfect!

Was there a full moon last night?
At this moment in time I think being told your birth does not matter if you had  a csection is worse then being happy about the gov shutdown.

For those of you needing clarification on smoking and miscarriage... https://www.m.webmd.com/baby/4-common-causes-miscarriage-twins It is #2 on the list. As a mom who has suffered miscarriage, I cannot fathom why anyone would knowing harm their unborn child. To me this is just as bad as "no Caesarian" lady.

    Lurking from Feb 14

    1. The miscarriage smoking lady...grow the F up.  It is extremely horrible to say that she deserves a miscarriage. Also, CPS has a ton of more shit to take care of than a Mother who wasn't able to quit smoking for 9 weeks. Also, no one ever deserves to lose a child. No one.

    2. To the "higher power lady", what sort of drugs are you on? Like for real? You have to be in a cult, because no religion that I know of would ever think it's okay to kill a child.
I never once said she deserves a miscarriage. Get your facts straight. I said smoking is a cause for miscarriage...who knew that a smoking pregnant woman wouldn't be an unpopular opinion.

Sweet! I'll go tell my 16 yo cousin with an unplanned pregnancy to go smoke some cigs and it will make it all better.  Seriously, don't you think if there was ANYTHING that directly caused miscarriages there would be a lot less abortions, unwanted pregnancies in the world? Increases risk - maybe.  Cause?  Not even close.

[Edited for quote box- which is still wrong :\
