Introduce yourself: I'm 34 and have been married 3 years. My husband is 38 and we have one daughter, who is 2 years old (26 months).
Due date? September 8, 2022, but not confirmed through the doctor yet
How did you find out? With a test. Multiple tests.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) One other child. I love to sew and do other crafts.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Just started feeling queasy, but I'm thinking that's not morning sickness because I'm only 3 weeks. Last time it started at 5w2d.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Ugh. I don't know. There are so many things, but I don't know that I could eat just one thing for the rest of my life.
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Nicole. I’ll be 33 tomorrow. My husband and I have been married for 2.5 years, we live in Pennsylvania, and we have a 9 month old daughter.
Due date? I think 9/2/22, based on my calculations, though I haven’t been to the doctor yet. I am still EBF so my cycles were definitely wonky but 9/2 is my best guess.
How did you find out? Took a test, then another, then went for HCG blood test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a baby girl, she’s 9 months, a super fun age! She’s crawling and loves food and (thankfully) is a great sleeper My husband and I met in NYC, I was a lawyer and he also had a boring job and after we got married, we quit our boring jobs and started a business together. Pre-covid, we were very avid travelers and big foodies! We also have a 10 year old dachshund.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) It’s pretty crazy to me that I feel almost identical to my first pregnancy, so far. Almost a constant 24/7 headache, some nausea but no vomiting, serious carb craving, very tired. Emotionally, I’m really excited - we were trying to get pregnant, but it happened on the first month of trying which was a little bit of a surprise! One thing that I’m experiencing this time around that is new is a lot of nipple soreness. That’s probably the toughest symptom since I am still EBF! Im also a little nervous my supply is already tanking.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Either pizza or twizzlers - I eat pizza wayyyy too much and I eat twizzlers every single day lol.
Very excited to be here and meet other September 2022 moms! Yay!
Introduce yourself: hey 👋 I’m Loryn - I’m 28 years old and my husband is on the better side of 30. We have a wonderful little guy that will be 2 in Feb. We live in Minnesota. I’m an MRI technologist at a very large institution.
Due date? September 2nd? I was 5 days overdue with my son so we’ll see how true that holds
How did you find out? A pregnancy test…. And a very long story that precedes that
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) So we both work full time so we don’t have “free time” add in an almost 2 year old, 2 dogs, a cat, and our parents- we’re pretty booked. I recently discovered this fly lady cleaning method from someone I found on Tik tok and I fell in love with it and have been sticking with it for the last 3 months, I really enjoy it. Is housekeeping a hobby? Maybe. Idk.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I’m good, been having some trouble sleeping lately but I think it’s just a little bit of stress. I’m taking on a huge project at work.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Oh boy. Ummm… I’m gonna say Mexican food. God that sounds good. I could probably be happy with that forever.
(Not my husband though, he’s team Chinese and that kind of sucks) I love all food, my husband is an incredible chef so I love variety, don’t get me wrong.
Looking forward to getting to “know” all of you ladies, the last time I was on TB I really enjoyed the sense of community and still remember a lot of the girls. It’s a cool place.
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone!!! My name is Chelsea and I am 32 years old. I work in a research clinic for a major hospital, and love my job (for the most part). I’m a newlywed- just married my husband in June!
Due date? Supposedly 9/10
How did you find out? Well, this was our first month of not using birth control, so I took a test SUPER early- and saw the faintest positive of all time! Husband definitely thought I was crazy when I said it was positive… except now it’s three days later with three increasingly strong positive tests, so I think it’s finally sinking in for him lol
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is our first pregnancy! Before I met my husband, I got pregnant and had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks, and this was my only experience with being pregnant. The circumstances around my getting pregnant were awful and traumatic, and then the loss was even more so. To be honest, I’m a little concerned I won’t feel as connected to this pregnancy because of that experience, but all I can do is try to stay positive! As for hobbies, I love to run, hike, and do all sort of DIY/crafts (landscaping, home improvement, knit, crochet, cement crafting)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel a bit numb to the situation, honestly. I am hoping as things progress it’ll feel more “real” and I’ll get more excited. My first appointment is January 21st :) My only symptoms so far are fleeting bouts of dizziness/nausea, minor cramps and painful breasts.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I am 38. I am a teacher in Philly!
Due date?

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have two girls (7 and almost 6) but this will be my first baby with my boyfriend (his first). When I’m not teaching I make and sell candles.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appt is Jan 24. Today was my first day getting a little nauseous at night but besides that just tired. I am showing more than I did with my first two.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. I could eat Mexican food for the rest of my life.
How did you find out? Took an at home test one day before my period was due
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 boys- 5&2, husband, I like working out and hoping that stays throughout pregnancy. Full time job.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This will be our first child. My wife and I did IUI insemination and got pregnant on the 3rd try. Also I am 40. :) So it’s a big deal! I am a psychotherapist and a visual artist and my wife is a simulation technologist and woodworker. :)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
We are waiting for more guidance from our fertility specialists before scheduling our first OB/GYN appt. I’m having more cramping than nausea, which I read is more common among older pregnant women. Luckily my 40 year old friend just got pregnant in September and we are going through it together! I’m nervous about carrying the baby to term. So just praying for the best outcome.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
It would probably be something chocolate covered. :):):)
Due date?: Just had a "pre-natal in-take" and was told my due date is around September 5, which I had already calculated. Hahaha! Of course, that will be confirmed after my first ultrasound.
How did you find out? I actually had an appointment with my OB on the day my period was supposed to start. I mentioned to her that it had not started yet and she recommended a blood test for giggles, and here I am!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have a three-year-old little girl who is absolutely amazing. I am a college professor and editorial writer. my hubs is a mental health counselor. We also have a terrier mix named Jett Li. Hmmm... I enjoy cooking and spinning.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): I am feeling pretty good! Every now and then I experience slight dull cramping on the lower left side of my stomach. But other than that no complaints!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.: Hands down Mexican food or ice cream. Hahaha!
It's sooo nice to meet you all! Looking forward to this journey!! My husband and I had been "trying" off and on for about a year, so this is super sweet!
Introduce yourself: Hello! I'm Courtney, I'm 32 and this is my first baby!
Due date? Estimated due date is Sept 6 (not confirmed)
How did you find out? I took a test before traveling for Christmas, thinking it was negative. But it was positive! My husband and I picked up a digital test on our trip to confirm.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have one cat named Ollie. I'm an accountant in NY state. I like to do crafts, cook and organize. I met my husband through church and we got married in Aug 2020. He is an international PhD student from Nigeria. We've both been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic and it has been a blessing to be by on another's side all day long since our first day of marriage!!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm feeling excited and a bit impatient! 😄 I haven't experienced many symptoms, mostly just tired.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. That's hard because I love food! Thanksgiving leftovers are one of my favorites.
Introduce yourself: Hey y'all! My name is Whitney and I am 30 years old.
Due date? Not sure yet, but by my app/calculations, it should be September 7th.
How did you find out? We have been TTC for a year. Had a MC back in October and have been tracking ovulation since then. I was supposed to start my period yesterday but had light spotting instead so I took a test and it was a faint line! Trying not to get my hopes up, but hoping it stays positive. It's so scary and hard to get excited after a MC. Gonna test again tomorrow.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We currently have one daughter who just turned 4! I'm 30 and my husband is 37. We both work outside of the home, full-time. We live in the middle of the country in South Carolina with one black lab, one bloodhound, and lots of chickens! I enjoy baking and we both enjoy hunting and fishing.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel fine so far. No symptoms yet!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Hmm.... probably steak or mexican food! and my drink would be Dr. Pepper for sure!
Due date? September 3-7 according to due date calculators.
How did you find out? After going through some health issues that I believe were related to stress, MH and I decided it would not be a great idea for me to go on the pill. We got married in October. Both of us want children, so we just decided to see what would happen. I didn't think I would or could get pregnant this early due to aforementioned health issues, but I started feeling nauseated on Christmas Eve. I took a test first thing Christmas morning and it was a faint positive. It took me a while to let it sink in. I must have tested three more times that day just to make sure. It was definitely the best Christmas present I got this year.
Tell us about yourself: MH and I are both nurses and we met at work around 3 years ago. It took us a while to get into a relationship since both of us had qualms about dating coworkers. We like to cook together, read, and explore new places. This will be our first baby of the human variety. Our other "children" are a goofy German Shepherd and a devious cat that are nearly always into mischief.
How are you feeling? So scared something is going to go wrong. I tested early, so I'm still in the danger zone for a chemical and it's been tough trying not to worry. But I am really excited and can't wait to share the news. As for symptoms: morning sickness has already begun, though it is pretty mild right now and I have been having some off and on cramping. I am also wearing out a lot easier than usual.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.: Right now it's Macaroni and cheese. It's one of the few things that doesn't make me want to gag when I think about it.
Took a test yesterday morning, then again this morning, then again this afternoon….followed by two more 🤣🤷♀️…all positive, I was just in a little denial
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am married (5 years) and we have a 4.5 year old. We also have two four legged children, a yellow lab and a pitBull mix. My husband and I are into hiking and traveling and we love to hang as a family as much as we can. We live in the country in Wisconsin so anything outdoors is our favorite.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) ok- we were not planning another baby AT ALL. The opposite actually…we were discussing my husband getting a vasectomy because we said we were done after one….so this was a BIG surprise, but I believe everything happens for a reason!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. i have no idea! I love food in general!!!
Hi all! My name is Cyrielle and I’m so excited to be here!
Due date: Sept 7…ish. Doctors appointment January 27 to confirm
How did you find out? I started feeling tired and in general icky a few days before Christmas. I took a test Christmas Eve and Christmas morning and they were positive!
Tell us about yourself: my husband and I are both 30 years old and live in the suburbs of Chicago. This will be our first baby. We’re very excited but as equally nervous and anxious! We love to travel, read, and eat yummy food :)
How are you feeling: tired! Occasionally I’ll feel slightly nauseous but besides that I feel ok.
Fun fact: one food for the rest of my life, anything with carbs!
Took test Christmas Eve followed up with 2 more over the last week!

How are you feeling? So far so good! Had our first positive in Sep but ended up being chemical pregnancy. Overall, a little uneasy feeling and loss of appetite. Just made it longer than last time so starting to feel a little more excited & less anxious.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.

How are you feeling? first appointment is coming up in January. Only symptoms so far are slight fatigue (could be since I have had a cold though), and some cramps that are definitely implantation cramps. I am nervous about an early miscarriage, trying not to totally freak myself out and overthink everything jaja
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Steak and fries 😋😋
How did you find out? After avoiding the thought I was pregnant since I missed my period on Tuesday, I took an opk today on a whim to decide if I should go but a pregnancy test as I was all out. The opk had 1 dark line but I couldn't remember if that was the test line or control line so I had to took that up. It was the test line and it was clearly dark and I've already ovulated so I figured I'd sneak to the store to buy a test. Walked around the store making sure I didn't know anyone (small town life) didn't do I picked up the test and went to check out, as I get to the check out, or school nurse walks up to me and stays talking to me, so I faked looking for Christmas candy and did another loop. Came home debated waiting until morning so if it was blank I didn't have to think about whether or not to buy another one (damn store tests are expensive) decided I couldn't wait and peed on it. The darkest test I've seen I tested at 8dpo with both my daughter's and got faint lines so testing at 14 dpo was different.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) my husband and I have been married for 4.5 years we have 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old daughters. We've been together for 15 years. I'll be 35 this month and he'll be 47 next month. We've been trying since April with no luck, I finally gave up tracking ovulation because I didn't think it was working (perfect time each month since April and nothing). My daughter's I conceived in 2 months of trying so I was getting frustrated.
Both my husband and I are math teachers. I teach high school and he teaches middle school. We're in a small rural town. Though it's larger than the one we lived in for a decade before covid.
I enjoy gardening, and researching things in interested in to death.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) have not told my husband or anyone never mind and appointment 😂. I'm really excited though I know I need to tone it down a bunch we had some early trimester complications I'll write about in a TW here
My first pregnancy was a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks due to a blighted ovum. My second pregnancy I went in around 6 weeks with spotting and there was no heart beat. They did a blood draw and my beta weren't doubling so I was told to prepare for another miscarriage. I went back the following week after and they found a heart beat when I asked for another US though they also saw something (assumed fibroid) that had to be watched. I had gestational diabetes and a breech baby egg this pregnancy.
My third pregnancy I went in at 8 weeks for my US and we see the heart beat and I'm so excited, then the OB says very nonchalantly "looks like a molar pregnancy I want you to go get blood draws done now and a gain tomorrow" my first blood draw comes back really high. He days this is inductive of a molar pregnancy but we'll check numbers. Next blood draw comes back 20k lower. He calls to tell me that I need to come in. He tells me with drop in numbers I will miscarry soon but because it's molar I should schedule a dnc for the next day. I asked if he was sure (as my Dr Google research did not see molar when I looked at my US) he said he's 99% sure but would send my scans to a larger hospital. I scheduled the dnc and drive the 1.5 hours home alone bawling. About 30 minutes from home he calls me back and says the big hospital would like to see me before I have the dnc. I call them and figure really why bother. My husband can't go to the appointment I booked so I had to change it and push it off for 2 weeks against their judgement. We see a mfm and get a 4d US, they decide definitely not a molar pregnancy, but could be an acardiac twin (even more rare and could kill the twin that's alive) in my research I found there is a genetic test that can be done for molar (according to first ob they can only test the dnc material to decide if it was molar) mfn agreed to test that also came back negative. Mfm scheduled a few more high risk USs and whatever they were seeing was gone by the 3rd one. I went on to deliver a pandemic baby that was just about 10 lbs (I passed my glucose test this time but huge baby).
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. I think I would choose pizza because there are so many variations and they're all yummy.
Hi I’m Cameron! I’m 28 and recently married (10/22/21). My husband and I were going to wait a year before trying, but our plans changed after I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I began to fear putting off having children in case I experienced the worst, so I wanted to try ASAP. We got pregnant on our first try and I couldn’t be more excited!
Due date: September 7th (not yet confirmed by doc)
How did you find out? We were trying, so I took a pregnancy test right after Christmas. I took a second to be absolutely sure. My husband was with me when we checked the tests
I have a dog and cat. I work at Disney Television Animation in production and my partner works in IT for the school district. I love to garden, play guitar, and plan parties!
Honestly, I’m SOOO excited but I have so much anxiety. I didn’t realize you don’t have this first appt till 8 weeks (my appt is 1/31). I have this irrational fear that someone is going to tell me this isn’t real and I somehow imagined it. I can’t wait to see my baby on ultrasound and have true confirmation.
If I could only eat one thing forever, it would definitely be milk chocolate. Cookie form or maybe chocolate soufflé? Idk I’m a total chocoholic!
Introduce yourself: Hi! I am Jamie and I am 40 years old.
Due date? Based on my last period, September 13th.
How did you find out? Took a test today (4days before missed period) and it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a single mom (with a non live in partner) to 4 other children. I have 2 girls and 2 boys whose ages range from 5-17.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am scared to be honest. I was pregnant early in 2020 and had a MC. My due date for that baby was 11/14/2020. My body did not miscarry properly so I had to have surgery. It was the first (and hopefully the last) MC I have ever had and it was devastating. Since I just found out today, I will call the doctor on Monday. Happy New Year to me.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Probably the chicken and broccoli with white rice Chinese meal.
How did you find out? I was pretty certain I was pregnant when I started having vivid dreams 2 days after I had ovulation cramping. Took 2 tests Friday, both with a faint line and another today with a darker line. My period is technically supposed to come until tomorrow but my positive this morning was positive enough for me.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm married and live in Norway. MH and I have 1 daughter who's 13 months old. I'm a SAHM and have recently started a side hustle of sewing baby clothes and accessories. Super excited to get to sew for our new baby!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Here in Norway you don't see the midwife until 12 weeks. So sometime at the end of Feb or beginning of March. Symptoms: vivid dreams, cramping, gassy, tired, tender breasts. I had a MC in November so a little apprehensive but I feel pregnant this time whereas last time I had no symptoms whatsoever. It gives me hope that this pregnancy will continue.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. I agree with @oyindamola2020 about eating Thanksgiving dinner. I could eat that for a long time without getting sick of it!
Introduce yourself: Happy New Year everyone! Hi, I’m Stephanie 👋
Due date? September 2nd (predicted by the app, not confirmed by doctor yet).
How did you find out? Several pregnancy tests
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 33, my husband is 38 and we’re newlyweds! 👰🏼♀️🤵🏻♂️We were married 3 months ago on Sept 10, 2021. We recently moved from California (born in the Bay Area and lived in San Diego) to Washington state. We love the scenic PNW, sailing and mountains. I work in investments and my husband is a software engineer. We have a Maine Coon kitty named Oakley and she’s 3 years old. 😻😻
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel good, more tired than usual and slight implementation cramps. Also peeing a lot more and sore breasts.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Italian style pizza 🍕 and homemade chocolate chip cookies 🍪
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Amber, I just turned 38 today, and getting a positive pregnancy test yesterday was the best birthday gift I've ever received.
Due date? September 14 for sure, my BBT was very clear and easy to interpret this month.
How did you find out? For certain, through a pregnancy test. But the day before that I visited the shrine for the fertility goddess Wang Mu Niang Niang the moon blocks said I was pregnant 😂.
Tell us about yourself: I'm an American expat teaching English as a Foreign Language in Taiwan. I've known since I was 16 that I wanted to be a mother more than anything, but I spent 15 years of my life with a partner who told me later, later, later, until he finally admitted he never wanted kids. Moving to the other side of the planet was the best thing I ever did, and after a relationship full of bickering and arguing, it feels kind of like a miracle to be married to a man who I have never once argued with and who is looking forward to being a father.
How are you feeling? After a missed miscarriage in July, being diagnosed with APS, and a chemical pregnancy in November, I'm feeling *scared*, but I'm trying to just accept that what will be will be and to appreciate every moment that I have of being pregnant.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: Something really basic and nutritionally complete? Like leafy green vegetables or something. I'd rather never eat my favorite foods again (and there are many) than become sick of them and hate them but be stuck eating them everyday.
@knottie....(Stephanie) I'm originally from Washington state also! Love the PNW! What part do you live in? I grew up about 20 mins Northeast of Vancouver
Introduce yourself: Hi! Im Amanda, I am 27yrs old, my husband and I are expecting our 3rd baby.
Due date? Sept 1st. Has not been confirmed by doc
How did you find out? Took at home pregnancy test, called hubby to come home so I could tell him. Confirmed with a blood test that same day.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Together we have 2 other children both boys. Our oldest is 7 and youngest is 2 they have not been told the news yet. I work for a local winery both behind the bar and also as a sales rep for a portion of our state. We are also grape growers. We also have a Siberian Husky.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Overall feeling pretty okay. Nausea comes and goes, smells are hit or miss. First apt is in a couple weeks. The excitement is real and keeping it a secret for the next couple weeks is super hard!
GTKY Fun fact: I truely couldnt pick just one thing to eat. Currently I wouldnt mind having our fav mexican restaurant each day.
Introduce yourself: Im Sarah and I’m 32 years old. I have a 4.5 year old little boy and expecting #2. I work in the safety field and my husband is a firefighter. We’ve been together for 14 years (since we were 18!) and married for 6.
Due date? September 2, 2022. My first was born the day before his due date but was BIG so hoping this one comes a little earlier and is a little smaller lol
How did you find out? We we’re trying for 4 months and just recovered from COVID, so I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant this month. Took a test the day before my period was due and literally put the test on the counter and started getting ready for work…was very surprised when I looked over and saw the blazing line!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have a 4.5 year old son who we adore. He’s a ball of energy and also the biggest sweetheart when we wants to be. He has asked about a little sibling for a while now so I can’t wait to tell him. We also have an 8 year old boxer dog who is the absolute best. We enjoy traveling, hiking, sports (especially helping with our little guy’s sports teams!), watching movies and doing projects around the house. I also enjoy a good glass of wine which I’ll miss the next 35 weeks lol
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) A bit nervous. Haven’t scheduled the appointment yet (on the to do list for today) but we’ve decided to switch OB practice and hospitals. Our local hospital where my son was born has been hit bad by COVID and closed its pediatric ER and hasn’t been up to it’s usual quality of care. We’re going to a bigger/better hospital a little further away and my anxiety is hitting hard.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Im going to cheat and say tacos - all the varieties. I could eat tacos everyday.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Reeshan, 36, from BC, Canada
Due date? September 8th, but hasn’t been confirmed by a doctor
How did you find out? Found out Jan. 1st, I’d been having a lot of cramping since the 27th, was not even thinking I could be pregnant. So I went to urgent care to try to figure out why I was having such bad period like cramps without any blood and turns out I’m pregnant.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My fiancé and I are getting married on May 4th of this year, it is Star Wars themed. We’re both big geeks. We currently have an 8 y/o cockapoo named Rogue and a 3 or 4 y/o black cat named Neo. I work as a nanny taking care of 4 awesome kids ages 7, 5 2, and 2.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m still cramping which has me a bit worried. I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the past and I have uterus duplex bicollis (two separate uteruses and cervixes) which makes things a lot more complicated. So I’m mostly worried and anxious. But I’m also really hopeful that this pregnancy will go well.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. ooohhh, probably this mushroom beef stroganoff meal that my mom made when I was a kid and is now one of my favourite meals to make….or tiramisu, so yum!
How did you find out? A test haha we were trying to conceive so not a surprise
Tell us about yourself: I have one toddler and two pugs! I am a married stay at home mama. I am also an artist and used to be an art teacher!
How are you feeling? First appt at the end of January. Super excited! Am having evening morning sickness with this pregnancy haha super fun. Emotionally, I cried at the harry potter reunion (I also am the biggest Harry Potter nerd. Read the books and watch the movies multiple times a year)
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Hmm... sushi haha granted that's a nono while pregnant 😅 soooooo pizza

We just found out myself and my little girl have Covid so I’m sure that does not help. Overall not bad. > > GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. A big cheeseburger fully dressed and French fries!
Introduce yourself: My name is Alexandria (I go by Alex mostly). I recently found out that I’m expecting my first child and can’t even describe the amount of joy I have in my heart right now!
Due date? 9/9/22
How did you find out? I was very sick on Christmas Eve while hosting a dinner for my family. Took a test the next day and got the most amazing Christmas present I have ever received. Went to the doctor and received my confirmation a few days later.
Tell us about yourself: I currently manage a domestic violence shelter that takes a lot of my time - so getting a breather while I carry my little one will be nice! While my partner has a daughter from a previous relationship, this will be my first child! We also have two cats and have recently moved into our first home. We can’t wait to start building our family. 😊
How are you feeling? I’m dealing with quite a bit of nausea/vomiting and headaches but I could not be happier. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point!
GTKY Fun fact: I could honestly eat soup everyday for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. I know, I’m weird. 😅
Oh yeah! Any advice on managing allergies would be greatly appreciated if anyone has ideas. They seem to have gotten so much worse since I got pregnant…
Oh yeah! Any advice on managing allergies would be greatly appreciated if anyone has ideas. They seem to have gotten so much worse since I got pregnant…
I don't know if traditional Chinese medicine is available near you, but I've been seeing a TCM doctor since my miscarriage in July, and within about a week my allergies, which have always been extreme and only marginally ever improved with western allergy medicines, were *gone*.
Hello everyone! My name is Alexis, and I am a mixed media artist. This is my first pregnancy, and I am so excited to embark on this journey into motherhood.
I am due Sept 6th and love the idea of a fall baby. As I’d been trying to get pregnant, checking fluids temp etc, I had suspicions I was pregnant very early on when I recognized I was peeing more, and had an increased appetite. I took a test on December 21, negative, 23, negative, 25, positive!! The best Christmas gift! I took the test that morning, wrapped it and shared it with my husband that evening. Have taken many more positive tests since.
My husband and I have been together since 2010 and married since 2014. This is our first time trying and being in my 30s I feel very thankful! We also have two cats, Fox, and Bear, a cocker spaniel, Heidi, and a German shepherd, Otto.
No morning sickness yet, fatigue and sore nipples are my primary symptoms.
I have an appointment for 10 week with the additional tests, but am trying to get an earlier appointment just to verify that this pregnancy is off to a good start. I’m feeling happy! Worried about the baby’s health and all the unknowns but generally just happy.
- if I could only eat one thing, it would be rice bowls!!
Hi there, my name is Hilary. This is my first pregnancy! I am 38 and my partner is 45. We decided one day last month that it’s time and got pregnant on our first try!
My due date is Sept 8. I am also really excited for a fall baby!
We found out on New Years Day, which seems like a good way to start off a year.
I have a first apt on Thursday with my GP at 5 weeks. Which I was thinking might be a little early but hoping she can refer me to an OBGYN. So far feel really good. Only symptoms are strong sense of smell and overly emotional.
How did you find out? After a PCOS diagnosis 6months after TTC, OB put me on 3 rounds of letrozole/progesterone since I was very irregular… first two months were negative so on the last month my husband + I were convinced we had to move on to fertility clinics. BUT, seems the less pressure paid off and here we are approaching week 5
Tell us about yourself! First time parents, so kinda freaking out all around.. wondering how real it is even after many positive tests.. doing a 6week sono to confirm/make sure we are in the clear but can’t help but be thrilled + terrified at the same time.
How are you feeling? I’m bloated AF and so hungry, peeing 24/7— but I also just got over COVID actually right after conception so a little nervous about that.. I have no taste or smell so I can’t determine if food aversions or spidy senses apply quite yet! Hopefully that comes back soon. If anyone had COVID during early pregnancy please chime in here!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Wow. Prob Thai food or broccoli pizza
Warning, a lot of this may be triggery if you've had losses.
Introduce yourself: I'm Kimberly. I live in central California (not the cool part of California, the icky super conservative part).
Due date? 9/14/22 based on LMP, but not yet confirmed w/blood test. However, there is absolutely no way I will be allowed to go that long and will probably be delivered whether I want it or not in mid-August.
How did you find out? Been trying consistently for nearly 3 years (more about that below). So we have sex on cycles and I start testing at least every other day at day 23 or 24 usually. Yay for cheapie OPKs in bulk from Amazon. Day 26 was negative but today (day 28) is quite definitively positive. I'll give it another few days and another few positive tests and then I'll make my doctor's appointment.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Okay, so regular first part, triggery second part.
I guarantee you I'm the geriatric of the group. I'm 43. I live with a 47-year-old boy person (it's complicated; we are not in a relationship, it's more of an arrangement). He does not work but does most of the cooking and the errands. I work a senior psychologist at a maximum security men's prison; I see a small caseload but mostly I do quality management, which involves service coordination and monitoring for mental health, medical, dental, and medical administrative services as part of the health services leadership team (we are responsible for approximately 500 staff across the various disciplines) as well as quality management of the mental health services (about 75 total staff). I also have a part-time job one day a week at a different maximum security men's prison as a clinician in an inpatient unit. Additionally, I'm in the middle of setting up to do contract work for the VA doing disability evaluations (very part-time). I work a lot.
I'm a homebody, mostly spend my free time watching television, playing on the interwebs, and tending to my animals. I have 4 cats - 3 geriatric triplets (15.5 years old) named Charcoal, Tangerine, and Semi-Sweet and 1 younger cat (8ish) named Daenerys Stormcat (her brother, Tyrion LanCatster, lives with my ex-wife). I also have two dogs, Fred Hampton (a sweet but very stupid mostly pit bull who is probably about 2 or 3; street rescue) and Gloria Steinem (a beautiful and smart 9 month old Great Pyrenees).
Ok, so the triggery part. This is my 5th pregnancy. I have no living children. First pregnancy was in 2013 when I was with my ex-wife and resulted in a missed miscarriage discovered at 11 weeks. Indirectly that led to our divorce several years later because I got and stayed extremely depressed for several years afterward and my ex-wife doesn't know how to handle mental health issues. When the boy person and I got together, I went on fertility drugs (letrozole) around April of 2019. Pregnancy 2 was a blighted ovum discovered at 7 weeks in December 2019. Pregnancy 3 was my daughter, Clementine. Her original due date was in late October 2020. However, I dropped my mucus plug in June and when I went into the ER they discovered I was like 4 cm dilated and my amniotic sac was protruding through my cervix; diagnosis was incompetent cervix. They admitted me and put me on full bedrest, but I went into labor several days later. They delivered her via emergency C section on 6/26/20 at 22 weeks and 3 days. Unsurprisingly she had significant health issues, and although she fought hard, we had to take her off life support at 15 days old on July 10 (four days after my 42nd birthday, which I was still hospitalized for). For a story that's much longer than I am to typing here, due to significant negligence on the part of the doctor who did the C-section and several others, I nearly died as well of sepsis in my uterus and blood and had to have revision surgery on the incision (which is a "classic" rather than transverse, although my exterior incision is transverse). I had an open wound with a wound vacuum and was on short-term disability until November 2020. Went back on fertility drugs in December 2020. Pregnancy #4 was a chemical that was discovered accidentally in November. And now we're on pregnancy #5. We'll see what happens.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Mostly ambivalent right now, given my history and my age. Obviously I'm running out of chances. If this one survives the first trimester I'll have to have a cerclage put in. Because of the classical C section, they probably won't let me run past 36 weeks, although I will fight to go as long as I can. Physically, some sore boobs. I'm always tired, so there's nothing new there. I suffer from chronic depression and can't take meds when pregnant because of the likelihood of complications. I manage it. Mostly I'm meh.
GTKY Fun fact: Probably Indian food. Although the spicy pork stew the boy person makes is a close second.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Introduce yourself: I'm Andrea, I'm 34 years old and an engineer from New England.
Due date? Sep 12 ( not confirmed yet)
How did you find out? We've been ttc for almost two years now after an ectopic pregnancy in June we started letrozole in November - so was testing with high hopes!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years, we have an almost 3 year old little girl and two cats. I like to cook, knit, and read (in all my spare time haha)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Pretty overwhelmed, trying to be optimistic but feeling a lot of doubt. Also - super bloated/nauseous, and cold - which i remember from my pregnancy with my daughter - being cold all the time.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Tacos. Obviously.
Introduce yourself: I’m Jenny. I am 37, live in central PA and got married about four months ago.
Due date? 9/3 (but not confirmed by doctor yet)
How did you find out? Lots of at-home tests. I woke up early on Christmas morning before anyone else was awake and took a test. I almost threw it out before noticing a faint line. I snuck off several times throughout the day to take more tests, which continued to give the same results.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in advertising. I have a 10-year-old daughter from my first marriage. My husband and I met six years ago and while we weren’t together the entire six years, we have always remained close friends. It’s been a busy 12 months: Last May he proposed, August we got married, and now a baby due right around our first wedding anniversary. We have one dog and are in the process of adopting a second (Am I insane?) I used to be a competitive wakeboarder, but after injury and now pregnancy, I’m not sure what the future holds.
To tell my husband that I was pregnant, I put a bandana on the dog that said “I’m going to be a big brother”. The dog promptly went and took a nap under a bed for awhile before my husband could see it.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am feeling nervous. I didn’t think we would get pregnant this quickly, but here we are. So far I’ve been extremely tired, have very sore boobs, and am occasionally nauseas. Intake appointment is January 24 and first ultrasound is February 7.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: Mexican food.
Re: Introductions
She’s crawling and loves food and (thankfully) is a great sleeper
Hi everyone!!!
Spouse/partner?)
This is our first pregnancy!
Emotionally?)
I feel a bit numb to the situation, honestly. I am hoping as things progress it’ll feel more “real” and I’ll get more excited. My first appointment is January 21st :)
My only symptoms so far are fleeting bouts of dizziness/nausea, minor cramps and painful breasts.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
…chipotle. Don’t judge me.
Due date?
How did you find out?
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have two girls (7 and almost 6) but this will be my first baby with my boyfriend (his first). When I’m not teaching I make and sell candles.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
My first appt is Jan 24. Today was my first day getting a little nauseous at night but besides that just tired. I am showing more than I did with my first two.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
I could eat Mexican food for the rest of my life.
Due date? Sept 6, 2022- my oldest sons bday
How did you find out? Took an at home test one day before my period was due
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 boys- 5&2, husband, I like working out and hoping that stays throughout pregnancy. Full time job.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) feeling good! Haven’t made my first appt yet
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Pizza for sure 😂
Hi, I am Sarah! I am 31 years old and this is my first pregnancy. My husband and I have been TTC for a few years now 🤗 (woot woot!)
September 5 (but not doc confirmed, yet)
At home test (several), and just had confirmatory blood draw yesterday.
This will be our first child; my husband, Ryan, and I have been married since 2016 but we have been together since 2005 and we have a dog named Lily. I am an attorney who loves to run, bake, and craft.
I am nervous, excited, and overwhelmed!
If I could only eat one thing forever, it would be "breakfast foods"--eggs, bacon, potatoes, & toast 🤤
My name is Ally, I love baking, spending time outdoors, and trying new things
Due date?
September 7th (unofficially)
How did you find out?
Yesterday morning, pregnancy test at home, 1 day before my expected period. I had a weird feeling, and decided to take a test. Cried 3 times lol
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)

Due date?
Between 9/1 and 9/4 depending on the app/method. Not confirmed by doctor yet.
How did you find out?
I took a pregnancy test. Today I got bloodwork done which reconfirmed the pregnancy :)
Hello!
Spouse/partner?)
I have one cat named Ollie.
Emotionally?)
I'm feeling excited and a bit impatient! 😄 I haven't experienced many symptoms, mostly just tired.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
That's hard because I love food! Thanksgiving leftovers are one of my favorites.
Hey y'all!
Spouse/partner?)
We currently have one daughter who just turned 4!
Emotionally?)
I feel fine so far.
Introduce yourself:
Due date? 09/10…estimated
How did you find out?
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am married (5 years) and we have a 4.5 year old.
Emotionally?)
ok- we were not planning another baby AT ALL.

Due date? September 9th?
I'm really excited though I know I need to tone it down a bunch we had some early trimester complications I'll write about in a TW here
My third pregnancy I went in at 8 weeks for my US and we see the heart beat and I'm so excited, then the OB says very nonchalantly "looks like a molar pregnancy I want you to go get blood draws done now and a gain tomorrow" my first blood draw comes back really high.
Due date? 9/11
Happy New Year everyone! Hi, I’m Stephanie 👋
Due date?
September 2nd (predicted by the app, not confirmed by doctor yet).
How did you find out?
Several pregnancy tests

I feel good, more tired than usual and slight implementation cramps. Also peeing a lot more and sore breasts.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Italian style pizza 🍕 and homemade chocolate chip cookies 🍪
Due date?
Im Sarah and I’m 32 years old.
Spouse/partner?)
We have a 4.5 year old son who we adore.
Emotionally?)
A bit nervous.
Hi!
Spouse/partner?)
My fiancé and I are getting married on May 4th of this year, it is Star Wars themed.
Emotionally?)
I’m still cramping which has me a bit worried.
Introduce yourself

If I could only eat one thing it would be pasta.
Bree, first time mom
Due date?
Calculations say sept 8th
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Tacos. Obviously.
Spouse/partner?)
I work in advertising.
