    Due date: Sept 7 2022

    How did you find out?
My period was more than a day late which never happens. I knew but didn’t take a test until my period was a full week late.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My name is Faye. I am the owner of a large hair and makeup artistry agency, Faye Smith Agency, located in Canada. I also own a salon, Primp & Proper, in Vancouver BC Canada. You can find me on YouTube (www.youtube.com/Fayesmithagency) and Instagram (@fayesmithmakeup.) I have a two year old blue eyed dog named Chester. He is the love of my life. My husband, Brandon, is a photographer here in vancouver specializing in actor and business portraits. We have been nervous to take on a family as two self employed business owners but are excited for the challenge.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Super crampy and sore breasts. I’ve had endless blood tests. My first scan is next week and I am nervous. I was pregnant two years ago and at my first scan was when I found out something was wrong. :) Sadly that pregnancy resulted in a loss. We have struggled to get pregnant ever since and are so excited to get another chance at potential parenthood.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Lasagna! It’s delicious, hearty and never gets old.

Hi everyone! I’m Mar! I’m 32 years old and working and living in the DC metro area.

Due date? It is unconfirmed by a doctor, but Dr. Google says sometime around Sept. 27

How did you find out? Took an at home test on a hunch. I was shocked since my husband and I had been trying for 14 months with no luck. I was about to start medication with my next cycle for an IUI! So made it even more shocking because I definitely didn’t think I would get pregnant on our own.

Tell us about yourself: I work as an embryologist and I absolutely love my job. A lot of happiness and heartbreak, but it is rewarding nonetheless. I’ve been married to my husband for 9 years and we have a 3 year old son. Along with our son we have a dog, cat, and horse. I’m an avid horseback rider and is something I like to spend a lot of my free time doing.

How are you feeling? I’m feeling a sense of reserved excitement. It is so early, but I’m hoping getting my beta test done tomorrow will help me feel better and a little more excited in general. No major symptoms yet, just some tender breast and minor fatigue.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: Only one thing forever?! Ramen!

I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

@nehah12 hi and welcome! I can't quite tell by your post, are you newly pregnant or trying to conceive? If you're pregnant, congratulations and we're happy to have you here! If you're trying to conceive, there is a separate board for TTC in which I'm sure you would find even more supportive!
  • Options
    Hi

Actually, me and my partner are trying to conceive since last year, we are trying hard to get success.
  • Options
@nehah12 I went to find where the TTC board was and I see you found it as well😊 best of luck and I hope one of these days you get a sticky little baby🤞🏼❤ unless you find out your pregnant in the next few days, you probably will end up in a different group as this one is primarily babies born in Sept 22. It's neat to connect with other parents who are the same place in life/gestation.

Introduce yourself: Happy bumping everyone and congratulations! My name is Paige, I'm 25, and this is my and my husbands first child/pregnancy! We call Nebraska home and we love it here.

Due date? Doctors calculator says Sept. 10th, but conception calculator says Sept. 17th, which is what I'm going with.

How did you find out?  I was several days late but didn't think anything of it since I ovulated seven days later than usual in Dec., and that's happened a few times. My husband joked one day that I must be pregnant. I took a pregnancy test on a whim that day, CD36, the test showed positive almost immediately. My husband I were stunned and speechless for a little bit, and so excited!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)  I'm a programs coordinator for a nonprofit, and I love it. My husband and I don't have pets, and this is our first kiddo! We both want a big family, but we will be grateful for any bundle of joy God gives us! I love to brunch with friends, hangout with family, love The Office, and I like to be outside. I want to improve my fitness during pregnancy, so let me know if anyone has suggestions for gentle exercise/workouts.

How are you feeling? (First appointment?  Any symptoms? Emotionally?)  We're so excited! I'll admit I have some more mental and emotional processing to do; I think I'm a little bit in denial that I'm pregnant, it's such a big deal and a big responsibility and there will be big life changes with a baby. That's a lot to think about! I have some journaling to do lol. I still can't believe it but it gets more real every day, especially since I notice some symptoms. Generally okay physcially. I'm at 6 weeks today, and the nauseau is starting to get stronger. I have bouts of exhaustion, some headaches, soreness. We decided to tell people early on because I thought most people would have suspicions with my symptoms, and not drinking at gatherings. And I was right. Most people had an inkling or knew.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. TAKIS. I would never say no to takis. The bold spice, the zingy lime/lemon. Can't get enough.

Introduce yourself: Hello everyone, I’m Kate, 36yo & first time pregnant.

Due date? Sept 19 (our anniversary!)

How did you find out? Home pregnancy test after missed period. I did it alone while my husband was out of town, I waited until the weekend so he was available on the phone & we wouldn’t have to go to work right after getting the results. We both kind of knew in our gut we’d conceived but it was still a shock & delight to see both lines turn bright so fast.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I work in healthcare and I love my vocation despite the pandemic stress. I’ve been married to my husband for 11 years. We were hoping to wait for kids a year or so longer for his career to stabilize, but I had lab tests suggesting I wouldn’t even be able to conceive w my own eggs, so at recc of my Gyn I booked an appt with the fertility specialist (2months out), and we started trying. We got pregnant our first month!  Doctors appt isn’t until 9 weeks GA and the wait to have everything confirmed and see the US is so hard.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I have breast tenderness, fatigue, & mild nausea. Emotionally I am still in disbelief. I have waves of anxiety about everything that could go wrong in the next 35+ weeks (plus 18 years?). Hopefully that will get better after the ultrasound confirms a viable intrauterine pregnancy & I make it past tri1? Or maybe this is just how it is being a parent forever?? Look forward to learning from y’all’s wisdom.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever:  Avocado toast

@paigeb26027 hey I'm the same age! Will be 26 by the time baby is born. I'm doing a program called mamastrong. There are workouts plus support for pregnancy as well as a program for the first 8 weeks+ postpartum. It also continues past that so you can have new workouts every day for forever! It's pretty much my unofficial PT because she offers a lot of fix me videos as well for if you have pain in a specific area. I love it and highly recommend!

Introduce yourself: HI! My name is Taysia. First time pregnancy here!

    Due date? 9/11/22 (unconfirmed)

    How did you find out?

Started puking one morning AT WORK for no reason. Took a home test that night and BAM!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)

My husband and I got married in 2019, we love to travel and have been all over the world. Recently with COVID holding us back, we took a more local trip to Vegas and that’s where baby happened! No other children for either of us, but we have one VERY spoiled fur child (kitty) named Baxter.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)

I met with my family doctor on 1/21, they did not do a pregnancy test because from my symptoms it’s pretty obvious. I have had TERRIBLE morning sickness and been on the phone with doctors and OB’s all week. I have my first OB appointment on 2/3, my husband gets to come so we are very excited! Emotionally I’m fine, but just wish this morning sickness (which is more like 24/7 vomiting) would hurry up and pass so I can truly experience the joy.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.

How did you find out? I took a test when my period was 2 days late. I was curious if covid had delayed my cycle, or if I was pregnant. I got a squinty positive. 🙂

Tell us about yourself: I’m a teacher (elementary). I love to travel and go to the beach! I’ve been married to my H for almost 8 years. We have 2 boys; ages 6 and 4.

Introduce yourself: Hello everyone! I'm Melissa!!

Due date? 9/22 but not confirmed. My first OB appointment is on 2/14!

How did you find out? We went a small vacation to Sedona and I felt 'off' the whole trip. I randomly decided to take a test the night we got back and it was positive. I've taken five more tests since that time.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband an I are both 30. We have been married for 2 1/2 years. I am a medical social worker at the local county hospital and a clinical social worker for adolescents at two behavioral hospitals. We love to travel! We have one fur baby who is extra clingy these days.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm a flood of emotions at this time! I have had a lot of anxiety/questions, wanting to make sure I'm doing everything right. It doesn't help not being able to get an appointment until 2/14 (which seems to be common). But as others have said the OB won't answer questions until our first appointment. I thought I would takey worries or my questions to my primary but they recently quit. So I'm left to googling my questions.

My symptoms so far is fatigue and nausea.

GTKY Fun fact: If I could only eat one thing forever it would probably be mashed potatoes or fried rice.

    Congrats to everyone!!

Hi I’m Mackenzie! I’m 31 and live in central California.

Due date: not confirmed until 1/31, but I think it’s 9/11

How did you find out? Just after Christmas I got motion sick on the way to the airport and took a test as soon as I got home, which was positive and about 5 days before my period. Took another test every day for about a week after that.

Tell us about yourself: I’m an engineer temporarily working remotely while we’re in CA for my husbands job. I have a 20 month old daughter and a 7 year old chocolate lab.

How are you feeling? Other than tired and crampy, really really nervous. I had 2 miscarriages last year, one early on at 5 weeks and a D&C at 11 weeks. If everything is okay at this first appointment, I still think I’ll be extremely nervous until at least the 12 week appointment (or maybe birth).

GTKY fact: I am a book worm. Love reading and have been doing a ton this year to try to calm my nerves!

Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I'm a 32 year old mom of 1 living in San Diego. MH and I have been struggling with fertility for almost two years so it feels so surreal to finally have a BFP!

Due date? 9/25 based on due date calculator

How did you find out? Tested after my period was 6 days late. It's been hard getting so many negatives so I waited until I was almost 100% sure before testing. Turns out I was right!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My husband and I have been together 13 years and married for 6 and have a 3.5 year old son who is equal parts cuteness and chaos. We also have a 7 year old Shiba, a 12 year old cat, and we're actually adopting a 7 year old chow this week! We both work full time, I'm a marine mammal trainer and MH is a video game designer. We love theme parks, going to the beach, and playing board games.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I still have to make my first appointment, but assuming it won't be until closer to Valentine's day. The biggest symptom so far is definitely super tender and painful boobs. Emotionally I think I'm still in shock. After going through fertility testing last year after TTC for a year, we were told it wasn't likely going to happen for us, but we decided to keep trying anyways and here we are!

    Hi everyone! I'm Erin!

Due date? September 24 I think. But I'm hoping the baby comes early and healthy on the 19th because that's my mom's birthday.

How did you find out? I took 6 at home tests! I started taking them too early because I was really anxious to find out. I track everything so I know we tried right on my ovulation window. Eventually they started reading positive the closer I got to my missed period.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have a 2 year old daughter. I am a stay at home mom. This will be our second pregnancy and baby. I had pre-eclampsia at the very end of my last pregnancy and I'm very nervous about developing it again. I am still on meds for my blood pressure because of the first time around. Hoping to just maintain it and not have anything bad happen.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have an appointment with my regular doctor on feb 1st just to make sure my blood pressure is still okay on the meds I'm on now. But my first OB appointment isn't until Feb 23rd. I'm very anxious for it!
