Hi! I’m a mom of 5, ages 9, 8, 6, 4 and 6 months. 🙈 we live on a little homestead in NY.
We are due around 9/20/22
I’m breastfeeding my youngest still, and just take monthly tests. Surprise we are expecting again!
Like I said, mom of 5, we try our best to homestead, we are also a homeschooling family and love every moment of it! I run a little hobby business to keep my mind from exploding with family things. My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years, and started our family right away! This time around we have decided not to tell anyone in our families about our little cake, until they arrive due to much negativity regrading large families and our parents do not approve of such. My husband has a great job, and we can afford all of them.
How am I feeling? Shocked! But thankfully and excited to meet this little one that I already love so much!
GTLY: what would I eat if I could only eat one food forever? Fried chicken with rice and gravy and green beans. 🤤
Met my husband in December of 2009, moved in together April 2010, Engaged June 2010, married June 2011
got pregnant after month of trying in December of 2011. resulting in our oldest 9/13/12. received a ppt January of 2012, giving us our boy 10/01/1213. Then we tried for baby number three and we received her 7/18/2015. We then decided that if we had another baby it wouldn't be so bad we found out on my birth day about baby number 4, arriving in November! We are so very blessed to have our four beautiful babies!
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone, I’m Tamara. I’m 35 years old, and this is my first pregnancy 🥰
Due date? According to the due date calculator I am currently 5 weeks and 3 days. My due date is 9/13… which I’m excited about, because my birthday is 9/11!
How did you find out? My menstrual cycle is usually like clockwork, but I was 2 days late this time! I decided to take a test, and sure enough it was positive! But of course, me being me.. I needed to go buy a couple more test just to make sure, and they all said the same thing! Lol, we are all stoked!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My boyfriend and I live in FL with 2 fur babies! I play in a free league here in FL, and made it all the way to Vegas to play in the WSOP! I also enjoy doing hair, binge watching tv shows or movies, and hanging with the pups!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m feeling a lot of emotions and body aches! Tired ALL THE TIME now! My first appointment is next Friday, Jan 21st.. and I’m super anxious to get there! No morning sickness yet, but definitely some body aches. Emotionally, I’ve felt great for the most part. Some mood swings, and more emotional than normal… but no better feeling than knowing I’m actually creating life inside my body!!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. TACOS! Lol, literally my favorite thing! ❤️
@AbandonedMouse sorry you're facing negativity towards big families. My husband and I are expecting our second but want to have as many kids as God allows. I'm the youngest of 11 (9 living) children and I can say I love having lots of siblings and now LOTS of niece and nephews. I know its not for everyone and not everyone has the possibility. I hope all grandparents get over their disapproval of your big family when meet new baby and can see what a great blessing they are❤
Introduce yourself: congratulations everyone and nice to meet you!! I’m 35 & this is my first pregnancy! My partner is 38.
Due date: calculated at 9/11/22…haven’t yet been to the dr. To confirm (appointment scheduled for early Feb.)
How did you find out? I had just bought an ovulation kit that had ovulation test strips and a pregnancy test. When I was about a week late for my period, I took the pregnancy test a few nights ago!
Tell us about yourself: we have two cats and live in the northeast—I just bought snowshoes and I’m looking forward to being able to try them if we get some snow here (very light snow this winter so far!). I love to read, yoga, Zumba, binge good tv shows.
How are you feeling? I feel good, I am definitely experiencing a little heartburn and also am quite tired. Emotionally-definitely feel kind of shocked and overwhelmed but also very excited and hopeful.

Introduce yourself: Hi, my name is Angie. I am 38 and this is baby #4.
Due date? September 20th-ish
How did you find out? ::TW:: I had an early loss mid December. I went to the doc and all my levels had gone back to normal after the loss. I have been waiting for my period to finally show up. I was telling symptoms that my period my come. I took a test just to see and it was positive.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. This is so hard! I guess it would be cheese. I can’t live without it!!
Introduce yourself: Hello! My name is Michelle. I’m 36 years old and from Minnesota. I’m actually a Surrogate for a wonderfully beautiful couple (two dads) in France. I’m so excited and happy to be able to give this gift to the dads! Also, it’s TWINS!!
Anyway, I have three kiddos of my own, ages 15 and 13 (from a prior marriage), and my youngest (from my current marriage) will be 5 in a couple weeks. My husband and I have been together for 11 years, married for almost 9. Our 5 year old is an IVF baby. We experienced infertility for 3.5 years when TTC her, and after 7 IUIs and IVF, we finally conceived her. So we were very familiar with IVF when we went into this surrogacy.
Due date? 09/04/2022
How did you find out? We transferred two 5 day old embryos on 12/17. I took a test at night on 12/20 (3dp5dt, or approx 8 dpo). It was super faint so I dismissed it. Took another test the next morning on 12/21, and it was faint but definitely there! (And of course I then dug the 12/20 test back out of the box and sure enough, it was more obvious!) I then took about a thousand other tests over the course of that week! 😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in State government (human services), and my husband works in supply chain. We love watching reality TV, mostly house renovation shows! We renovated our last two houses and recently moved into our new construction house so renovation has always been something we’re interested in.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I had an ultrasound last week and we found out it’s twins! Thankfully, the dads were able to join me for the ultrasound via video chat, and they was so much fun! I’ve been sick as hell, but that’s not surprising, since I was with my own 3, as well. Next appt is 01/24.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Chocolate cake! Specifically, molten lava cake!
Introduce yourself: Congratulations everyone! My name is Bethany and I am 27 - this will be my first!
Due date? September 21-23rd-ish.
How did you find out? I was talking to a girlfriend about how I had a sudden aversion to alcohol, wine specifically, and she commented that maybe I am pregnant... sure enough.. I went home and got my positive! Yay!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My spouse and I have been married for about a year, and we have a 2year old Vizsla who is going to be in for a rude awakening! ha!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I had an appt with my PCP the other day just to confirm. We are going to schedule an ultrasound this week. My symptoms come in waves ... headaches, sudden bursts of nausea, sore breasts.. but the bloating is around 24/7.
Emotionally, I am struggling. As you can see per my username (if it's updated)... I am such an anxious over thinker. I am struggling to feel excited about it all even though becoming a mom is a dream come true! I am trying my best to stay positive and enjoy the moment.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Introduce yourself: My name is Teagan and I am 28. I live in Winnipeg, Canada.
Due date? Sept. 10, 2022 but not yet confirmed by doc.
How did you find out? I had a really funny feeling as I had been experiencing some mild cramping on New Year’s Eve and my usual period cramps are very intense.
A few days later I took a test and voila - positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first child. I have a dog, who is my furbaby! I have been with my boyfriend for 10yrs. I was a flight attendant, but due to Covid I lost my job and pivoted to insurance (exciting lol). In my spare time I hike, snowshoe, spend time at the lake, make candles, and chip away at home projects in my new house.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m excited and very emotional! I currently have Covid so I am waiting for it to pass before my first appt, but my breasts are so sore, I am so tired and have slight cramping.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Mexican food! Especially with lots of salsa and hot sauce.
@MagicMikki I'm in a Facebook group with you! I read your intro here and was like she already posted, then remembered I saw it on Facebook, 😂 I've never done a Facebook group that hadn't migrated from the bump so it was confusing lol
Another 27 year FTM with a 2 year old pup! I am right there with you with all the nerves and anxiety. I am coming to the understanding that it is normal and ok. Looking forward to getting to know you!
Congratulations! What a lovely rainbow? Where in MI are you (if you are willing to share)? I would show you a mitten, if I could, haha. SE is the only survivable climate, imho--not that I don't love the rest of the state, but still!
@excitedlyexpecting Congrats!!! Based solely on your emojis, I feel like we must be in the same city! Warm, southern, full of mountains, famous people, tourists, and crime?
@runsonanxiety Hi Bethany! Sounds like we’re in similar situations!! I’m Rachel, 28 almost 29 and live with my boyfriend of almost 3 years, our rescue Brittany who is basically our baby (lol) and our three cats. I’m super anxious anyways so being pregnant is just a whole new ballgame of anxiety😬I’m so excited but also so nervous! I’m also due around 9/21-9/22! I’m definitely feeling some anxiety about how our dog will feel, which is so silly but like I said he’s our baby🤣if you ever want to chat or vent feel free to reach out!!
31 year old, first time mom from Richmond, VA. 9/16/22 due date, but heading to the doctor on the 28th to confirm- I feel like this is the longest few weeks of my life just waiting for the ultrasound and waiting to tell family and friends. Husband and I are enjoying this little secret, but I’d love to bring others in to help me process things. Sounds like I relate to the @runsonanxiety and @raychelwhite -I’m feeling soo grateful to even be here, but I’m already thinking about all of the things to do to get ready (find a daycare, birthing classes, save $$, read all the books) that it’s been hard for me to just relax and be excited!!
@knottie78e37e1ce57607a8 the money thing is definitely a big stress! Especially since we weren’t really thinking we’d have babies for a few more years! I think just putting away as much $$ as possible when you can is the best thing to do! For child cares, I’d start looking sooner rather than later as I think a lot of them (at least here in Vermont) have a waiting list or are full! In Vermont we have a state website to look at reputable child cares and see their credentials, might be worth doing some googling to see if VA has a similar database!
@knottie78e37e1ce57607a8Try to take it one day at a time. From now until your first appointment, just remind yourself every day that you're pregnant and that it's a marathon, not a sprint. After that first appointment, bask in the glow of what your life will be for a couple days. Then jump into looking for daycare, as that's a difficult one right now.
I loved my birth classes, but don't stress about those right now. Most women don't take them until 20+ weeks (far enough along to remember when it actually matters; too early and you're bound to forget some of the important stuff). For books, the best one you can read is Expecting Better by Emily Oster. To save money, consider having a diaper party for dad and/or using cloth (that's what we do) and/or buying a pack of diapers a week or with every paycheck.
Take a deep breath and remind yourself that your body was made for this!
Welcome to the board! Please consider updating your name so it's easier to tag you.
ETA: Outside of childcare and any unforeseen medical issues, children are honestly only as expensive as you want them to be 95% of the time. You can find plenty of things secondhand, they don't need a ton of toys (trust me, you'll definitely want to limit them for your own sanity), and food can run from free (breastmilk) to expensive (organic, etc.). This may be a hot take, but the best thing you can give your child is love and attention.
I figured I better finally post in here and introduce myself hi, I’m Miranda! I’m 27 years old and live in the Seattle area with my husband. This is our first pregnancy, but we do have a fur baby - a husky/dachshund mix who is 4. We’ve been married for almost 3 years and together for 7.
Our (unconfirmed) date is September 5th based on LMP. It’s September 11th based on ovulation date. I’m 7 weeks today
How did you find out? We were TTC so I was very impatiently waiting to get to 10 DPO to start testing. Expected the strip to be stark white like the other months, but nope! Took 4 tests that day to be sure haha (2 strips, 1 digital and 1 FRER).
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) first OB appointment is on 1/26 and I CANNOT wait to check on our little peanut! Symptoms have been in line with what I’ve been reading - sore nips, breast growth, breakouts and my feet are ALWAYS cold. I haven’t really had any morning sickness yet, but I did wake up this morning just feeling blah and I get nauseous after drinking water sometimes, so I think it’s coming. My mom said she didn’t really deal with morning sickness, so we’ll see! I also REALLY want a crispy chicken sandwich.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. 100000% sushi. This will be a long 8+ more months, although I have been scouring menus of my fave places finding rolls that have fully cooked fish that I can eat to satisfy the craving. I already had to make a shrimp, avocado and rice bowl to get past it haha.
@mk2022x If you're positive of when you ovulated, the 9/11 is probably the more accurate due date. So you're actually 6+1.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Introduce yourself: Hi Everyone! My name is Kirby, I’m 27 and live in New Orleans
Due date? Sept 10th (I think.. will confirm at the doctor on Friday)
How did you find out? My husband and I have been in Italy on our belated honeymoon and late at night on our 2nd day into the trip we passed by a pregnancy test in a vending machine outside a pharmacy. I jokingly decided to take it, I wasn’t even late yet, and it said “incinta” (“pregnant” in Italian!). I was completely shocked, slept very little that night and made my husband go buy 4 more tests the next morning, ha! All positive! No more wine for me on the trip 😭
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in film as an art director, which keeps me very busy, but in my spare time I love to cook, watch movies, and paint. My husband and I finally got married last January - it had been a 6 year journey of long distance + a pandemic. He lives in England and I live in the US and he will finally be getting his greencard in February to move out to New Orleans! This will be our first baby, and we hope to get a dog once he settles in.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Emotionally, I have finally passed the shock phase and am now getting super excited! My first appointment is on 1/21 and I am very anxious to find out if all is ok. I have very few symptoms so far which also has made me anxious - boobs don’t hurt, no nausea, etc, but I’ve been very tired and had a little spotting which is nerve wracking but apparently normal so trying to stay calm
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Pasta!
@kboydbowman yeah, I think you’re right but I’m going to wait for doc to confirm before I start playing around with the dates on the app! Plus, being 7w makes me feel better this early still 🙃
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Lauren. I’m 29 and live in Minnesota with my husband and our 14 month old boy. Happy to be here! ☺️
Due date? September 2
How did you find out? I had just bought an ovulation kit to start tracking my cycle because my husband and I were planning to start trying for baby #2 in February or March. My period was a few days late and I remembered I had that kit in the closet, so I took a test. I was shocked that it was positive. I ran to Target to buy a digital test before telling my husband because I really didn’t believe it and sure enough it read pregnant! I’m still a little shocked 3 weeks later 😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married since June 2019 and have a 14 month old boy. I’m a Health Educator and high school volleyball coach. I enjoy being active, coffee, cooking and traveling!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Super nauseous and exhausted 😩 I tested positive for covid on 1/8 so I’m still recovering from that, too. Finally feeling better after a long 10 days! My first appointment + ultrasound is February 9. Can’t wait!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Ooooo so tough. I would probably choose tacos! 😋
Introduce yourself: Hi 👋 I’m Rebecca. I’m 37 and I live in Michigan.
Due date? I ovulated early so somewhere between September 17th (if I’m correct about my ovulation date) and September 22 (based on my last period).
How did you find out? I took a test 6 days early because I was being impatient and had a good feeling about this cycle. I got a faint positive so I retested a few days later a got a clear positive. 4 days after that I finally had the time to go for a blood test to confirm.
Tell us about yourself I have a 2 year old son born in may of 2019. My husband is a software developer and I used to be a visual effects artist prior to becoming a stay at home mom. In my near nonexistent free time, I enjoy reading and playing stardew valley.
How are you feeling? Physically, pretty symptom free at the moment. Emotionally, hopeful but trying to contain my excitement until I’m a little further along.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Oooh that’s a tough one, but I think I’m going to go with a hot corned beef sandwich on rye with mustard.
Introduce yourself: I’m 37. DH is 38. We have been trying for 3 months and just got our positive today. I have a 15 year old son that I can’t wait to tell when he comes back this weekend. ☺️
Due date? 9/19
How did you find out?
I’m a week late. Took 3 tests last week. All negative. Should have known with how grumpy and weepy I was lol. Took another HPT this morning!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m a PA. My husband is a physician. We have my son, a frenchie, and the coolest cat. We love working out and going out, so this will be interesting hiding from my friends.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Emotional and tired. Cramps and low back pain. Going to schedule my first appt this week.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. McDonald’s! I rarely eat it but, boy do I love it! Ha
My name is Rachel and I’m 28, almost 29 living in Vermont with my partner Daniel, our rescue pup and three cats
Due date?
September 21st or 22nd (not confirmed by dr yet)
How did you find out?
Had a feeling, wasn’t trying but just sorta knew, took an at home test and ended up taking 4 more to confirm…all positive😬
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This is my first pregnancy! I honestly never thought it would happen to me (not for any specific reason) but here we are!! I work as an Early Head Start home visitor so definitely have a lot of experience with babies and development. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 3 years and we own a home here in northern Vermont. I love being outside! Fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and such.
How are you feeling? Anxious for sure! Hard to believe it’s actually happening. I’m excited but like I said it’s hard to believe it’s actually happening and it can be a little overwhelming especially since we weren’t trying! I’ve had sore breasts, mild cramping/stomach pain/nausea and headaches, increased smell…nothing too crazy though. The stomach cramps and slight pain has been the most annoying/anxiety provoking symptoms. I had my first food aversion today, hard boiled egg😝
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Based on LMP, due date would be 9/13, but based on my personal cycle it would be 9/19. Until we have a measurment scan, I'm going with 9/19.
How did you find out? Backstory: I removed my Nexplanon December 1st, and resumed my cycle December 7th. I used PregMate ovulations strips so we would know when my body was back online. My first positive OPK came on Christmas. Fast forward through me trying to chill out about even the possibility of success while DH is a good sport and doesn't call me crazy for thinking it could happen. We still need to visit the doctor to confirm.
January 8/9: Super mild cramps on Saturday and Sunday, sensitive tatas... I figured one way or the other my body was doing something. It's mildly frustrating that the symptoms are so similar! I took a test Monday morning, no luck. I was feeling pretty realistic. Then, my cycle didn't start Monday like it was supposed to either, so I took another test Tuesday morning 1/11 and it was positive.
**I used the pregmate test strips, but I don't think I waited long enough on Monday. I just waited until the moisture had seeped across the strip, not the 5 minutes you're supposed to. Tuesday night I purchased a clearblue test and Wednesday morning it showed up instantly (like I expected the pregmate strips to do - my bad). **
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'll be 31 in a couple weeks, DH is 39 until summer. We have a 7 year old son and a 4 year old husky/shepherd mix. I work from home ever since the great month of March 2020, and I love it. We were married on a Saturday this fall and closed on our home the Thursday before!
We enjoy camping, concerts, trail riding SxS/ATV, mudding (we built our second mud truck last winter), fishing, tropical vacations, cars, weekends at the racetrack, cooking together, and movie nights at home.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I need to call and schedule my first appointment still. I'm torn between two locations: 1 nearby where I always feel like I'm a bother when I've gone there in the past. 1 about 45 minutes away in a larger city, where I've never visited. I've watched both virtual tour videos, and I'm leaning toward the city location.
I tend to be hypersensitive to changes in my body, but DH thinks some of it's all in my head - along the lines that I wouldn't notice if I didn't know. So far, I've only really noticed that I'm tired and the ladies are plump. These ladies can't lie right now though. Emotionally, I'm pretty cry-y in between lots of happy.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Grown Up Mac'n'Cheese with Broccoli and Parmesan Crusted Chicken.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Introduce yourself: my name is Marie and I am 37 years old. This is my first pregnancy!
Due date? Unofficially on our anniversary, 9/21
How did you find out? I had several suspicions when my boobs were hurting, my period didn't come on it's normal clockwork time, and I had some nausea!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have always been around children as I was a teacher in my previous jobs and currently am a children's librarian. I enjoy working out, which I'm hoping to continue. I met my husband at the gym and we have been married for almost 3 years!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am anxiously awaiting our first appointment, but feeling ok. I'm an emotional person anyway, but have been crying over little things, like getting snow! Today, my new superpower of enhanced smell came to be, so that's been fun!
GTKY Fun fact: If I could eat one thing forever, it would be either my grandmother's mac and cheese or Mexican!
Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Heather 👋🏻 I’m 32 and live in Marina, CA (just outside of Monterey).
Due date? September 12 (not confirmed)
How did you find out? A test. I actually took it to mentally prepare myself that I wasn’t pregnant since we were about to meet with a fertility specialist. To say I was surprised is an understatement.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have been married to my husband for 7 years and we have a 4 yr old son. We also have a dog and two cats. I work in HR in healthcare so to say I’ve been busy the last two years is an understatement 🤣
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My appointment is on the 31st and I’m so anxious. I just want time to hurry up to hopefully get some validation that everything is ok. We have had previous losses before so I’m cautiously optimistic. Symptoms so far really just exhausted. Sometimes sore boobs but mostly just tired.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
How did you find out? Took a test a few days ago . Was expecting a negative but surprisingly it was a positive & a clear one at that .
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’ve been married to my husband for almost 4 years. We have an almost three year old daughter. I had just about given up on the idea of naturally conceiving a second child and was looking into alternative options. I’m not even sure what made me take a test since every other time i thought i was experiencing pregnancy symptoms i was crushed with a negative result. I work for my county & recently started a new position with another department 😳. So this should be an interesting ride.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Morning sickness , headaches, & dizziness . Surprised it started so early. Overall I have mixed emotions . I am excited but nervous also since I had somewhat of a traumatic experience the first time around.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Currently I can’t think of anything. Most things I love don’t even sound that good right now . Maybe smoothies for the time being (if that even counts lol) since that’s what I’ve been wanting the past couple of days.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm Bekah. I'm 32 years old from the Midwest US
Due date? September 14th but not doctor confirmed yet, I sort of suspect it will be later based on ovulation.
How did you find out? TONS of tests.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I work in aviation, I like to read, work out, the outdoors, traveling and hiking, watching period dramas/movies, eating and sleeping! I have 2 cats and a dog. I've been married for 7 years and have a daughter who is 2. She was an unplanned pregnancy and I struggled with major depression throughout but in typical cliché fashion, she is the most awesome and incredible gift I have ever been given. She is sassy and sweet, loving and savage, and amazes and exhausts me every day. She has absolutely rocked my world.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): Aside from the general fatigue (that is hard to distinguish from my usual exhaustion) and a bit of cramping occasionally, I have not had any symptoms. I wouldn't even think I was pregnant if I hadn't missed my period. My first appointment won't be till the 31st and I can't help but worry, I hope everything is okay.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: Oh man, this is tough. I love eating and appreciate food in all its forms so being forced to eat only ONE thing forever would destroy my soul! I can't even fathom....but I know what I eat the most of most often is soup (in tons of varieties) so I suppose it would have to be soup...I sound like my grandmother
@leannechristina I'm kinda in the same boat as far as choosing a hospital. My first instinct is to tell you to go where you feel safe, heard and comfortable. But then I apply that same advice to myself and it gets complicated 😂 I live on an island and the maternity ward is small. They only allow what they expect to be non complicated births. Well, long story short I was in labor too long so they transferred me by plane to the nearest big hospital mainland( ~25 min flight). Norway paid all the expenses which is great. If I would choose to give birth mainland though, I cover the expenses of getting there and hafta be there at least 1 week before due datestaying at the hospital hotel. My daughter came at 41+6.... so I could potentially be in a city away from home for 3 weeks waiting for a baby and then what do I do with my daughter? Gah...!! 🙈 why does life hafta be complicated?😂
Introduceyourself: My name is Dana. I’m 35 years old and I live in sunny Florida!
Due date? September 24 based on ovulation but not confirmed
How did you find out? Had been feeling off so I took a test the day before my missed period and here we are!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have been married 10 years next month to my wonderful husband and have a 5 year old (6 in May) little boy. I’m a software developer and work from home which will be nice this time around. I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, video games, binging on the latest tv shows, and the occasional crafting session.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Not too bad honestly. Mild symptoms, which was how it was last time as well… so hopefully that keeps up. I don’t have my first appointment until March 1st so excited and anxious to see things until then.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
Sushi or pasta. I could absolutely live for sushi and we have the best place near us so I’ve been going through withdrawals. So for now I’ll be carb loading 😂
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Niki. I’m 34 and live in central Florida.
Due date? September 9th
How did you find out? We were trying and I’m a crazy person when it comes to testing
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been together for 12 years. This is my 5th pregnancy and we have one amazing 2 1/2 year old boy. We also have a spoiled rotten 11 year old boxer.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment is on 2/3. I’m feeling like a bag of crap lol I get terrible morning sickness with all of my pregnancies so that’s fun. Emotionally, I’m hoping for the best planning for the worst. I know that’s a crappy way to start a pregnancy but hopefully after the first ultrasound I’ll start feeling more upbeat.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
@crabbycakes01 5th pregnancy and no living children here so I entirely understand the "hope for the best expect the worst" philosophy. That's where I am, too, definitely until I see a heartbeat.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Hello, Im Angie, 34. My partner is 34. I have a 14 year old son and am starting again! Haha! I'm due Sept 16th. We were very surprised because i went off birth control and got pregnant the first month after 1 normal period. It was unexpectedly quick but exciting!
I had a blood test scheduled and asked them to throw that on and it was positive. My partner was away working and I had to wait 4 days to tell him in person with a print-out of the blood test and a first time Dad book.
Havnt told my son but my sister knew instantly because she saw this app on my phone and the freezer full of waffles 🤣
I feel good! Tired and a bit sensitive but overall good.
I've been having weird cravings for Gatorade and anything spicy. If I could only eat one thing it would be pizza!
Hi! I’m Sarah. My edd is 9/17, putting me at 5w4d. I’m a new stay at home mom of two girlies. We are thrilled about baby #3! Prob another girl.. my poor husband. Just started feeling nauseous tonight. Pre-pregnancy I could eat bacon all day long. We will see what cravings this pregnancy brings.
Re: Introductions
I’m breastfeeding my youngest still, and just take monthly tests. Surprise we are expecting again!
I am a Strategic Accounts Analyst for a medical distribution company. I work remote, so that’s going to awesome once baby is here! I love playing poker( and I’m actually pretty decent at it).
I literally started falling asleep while getting my nails down! 🤦🏽♀️Lol.. I’m excited nervous, hopeful, scared… but I have a huge support team backing me, so definitely a plus!
GTYK fun fact: what would I eat forever? Definitely this amazing peanut butter fudge that my aunts make :)

Due date?

Spouse/partner?)
My spouse and I have been married for about a year, and we have a 2year old Vizsla who is going to be in for a rude awakening! ha!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I had an appt with my PCP the other day just to confirm.
Definitely pasta!!
Due date? Sept. 10, 2022 but not yet confirmed by doc.
How did you find out? I had a really funny feeling as I had been experiencing some mild cramping on New Year’s Eve and my usual period cramps are very intense.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This is my first child.
Introduce yourself: First-time mom from California ☀️ I’m 30 and a physician 👩⚕️ Hubby and I are so excited!
Due date: 9/7/22 🍁
How did you find out: My husband and I were tracking my cycle. Took a pregnancy test on Christmas Eve and it was positive! Best present ever! 🎄
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: Tough! Maybe In-N-Out burgers or avocado toast 🥑🍞
If you're positive of when you ovulated, the 9/11 is probably the more accurate due date. So you're actually 6+1.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Pasta!
Due date?
I’m 37. DH is 38. We have been trying for 3 months and just got our positive today. I have a 15 year old son that I can’t wait to tell when he comes back this weekend. ☺️
Due date? 9/19
How did you find out?
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I’m a PA. My husband is a physician. We have my son, a frenchie, and the coolest cat. We love working out and going out, so this will be interesting hiding from my friends.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Emotional and tired.
Probably nachos!
Based on LMP, due date would be 9/13, but based on my personal cycle it would be 9/19. Until we have a measurment scan, I'm going with 9/19.
*Edited to try to fix my spacing.*
you must totally share this mac and cheese.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Emotionally?)
My appointment is on the 31st and I’m so anxious.
Due date? September 23 (unconfirmed)
My name is Dana.
Spouse/partner?)
I have been married 10 years next month to my wonderful husband and have a 5 year old (6 in May) little boy. I’m a software developer and work from home which will be nice this time around. I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, video games, binging on the latest tv shows, and the occasional crafting session.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Not too bad honestly. Mild symptoms, which was how it was last time as well… so hopefully that keeps up. I don’t have my first appointment until March 1st so excited and anxious to see things until then.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
5th pregnancy and no living children here so I entirely understand the "hope for the best expect the worst" philosophy. That's where I am, too, definitely until I see a heartbeat.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Im Angie, 34.
