@julzy you really canβt win with how many and what kinds you have. Iβm sorry your family isnβt just as excited for this baby as they were for the first.Β
one and done and you get told theyβll be lonely.Β
If you donβt have one of each gender itβs always βarenβt you trying for the other one??βΒ
and anything past two is βdo you know how that works?β βHow can you afford all those kidsβ βyou have your hands full!!βΒ
If theyβre too close people think youβre insane. If theyβre too far apart people think youβre insane!!Β
And everyone seems hung up on whether the baby was planned or not.Β
We got a lack luster response to this baby too (#3).Β
My MIL asked me how Iβm going to afford all the birthdays so close together (all July due date babies). And then she FLIPPED OUT to my husband about how three kids is too much and weβre going to be overwhelmed and how can we even afford this and what are we even doing.Β
My FIL decided he had to ask if this baby was planned before he could say congratulations. Yes, my first was an accidental honeymoon baby. Ish. We werenβt not trying all that hard. But NO that is not some excuse to act like an entitled arse for the rest of the grandchildren mr. βmy only biological child was an accident.β
anywaysβ¦.Β
If you want this baby and love this baby then WHO CARES! I know every mama here is happy for you and you should be happy too.Β

@stardustskies It was only found via ultrasound in my pap smear you're only able to see one cervix the other one is hiding? I'm still learning about my body. I'm excited to see how this will be pregnant , but I'm hoping they everything goes smooth. They mentioned high risk pregnancy during the fertility treatments but I am a strong believer it can also be A normal pregnancy not a lot of data on my body so will see.Β

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)Β Iβm in my 7th year as a third grade teacher. My husband Mike and I were married July 31st so we will have a little lovebug to celebrate our first anniversary with usΒ π₯°Β we have 2 dogs, Bella and Zoey.Β

@tuxielove93 you are SO right. Everyone always has an opinion on other people's choices when it comes to creating a family. It drives me insane!!! My own mother in-law even told me that we should just stop trying to have kids altogether and then when she found out that our gestational carrier was pregnant she flat out said "well I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm expecting it to fail." Even when we were struggling with infertility I had people telling me that I should "just relax" or "try acupuncture" or try this that or the other thing. I just wish people could keep their heads out of everyone else's uterus!Β
Introduce yourself: Hi, Iβm Jessica. Iβm 33 and this is my second kiddo, daughter was born in May of 2016. My partner is 37.Β
Due date? July 22 (for now! First appt is the 16th)
How did you find out? We were ttc since May, and since my partner is 37 we were getting to the point where we were going to get everything checked out. I have been having very irregular periods which also made things tough. On Nov 6 I got what I initially interpreted as my period a week early, and we were kinda sad. But then it stopped. I started testing about five days later and got negatives and just resigned myself to it being a weird period. Two weeks later the Flo app, that I had plugged the spotty period into, suggested I test, and since we were planning to visit a brewery that weekend I did out of caution, and got a bright pink line!
Tell us about yourself: We have a daughter, two cats and eight chickens and a red tail hawk. We live on the coast in Georgia. Iβm a childbirth and sex educator and my partner is a naturalist. We enjoy hiking and gardening and birding.Β
How are you feeling? The morning sickness and aversions hit me HARD this week. I feel like Iβm playing frogger trying to avoid the smells or tastes that will trigger me. Other symptoms have been very sore boobs and mild fatigue and mood swings π
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever: grilled cheese and tomato soup
@jmelear I also love gardening, hiking and birding! My hubby and I got really into birding last year, he's become skilled at bird photography. He has spent so much money on zoom lenses, more than I care to even know π How cool that you have a red tailed hawk! Was it injured in the wild?Β
How did you find out? Was feeling cranky and wanted a glass of wine, decided to take a test first and it was positive
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) my husband and I live in central Illinois with an elderly cat and dog. We got married in the spring and have been TTC since September. We both love to travel and heβs Brazilian, so looking forward to a return to international travel with a little one in tow someday
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) so so tired all the time, also frustrated that my clinic wonβt see me til 12 weeks. Iβve been so nervous about mc in the first tri and would really appreciate some reassurance in the form of a pregnancy confirmation - even just bloodwork!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Pad Thai all day
@zinnia19 Heβs not a rehab bird, my partner is a falconer and trains them to hunt. So cool that you guys are also hikers and birders! It tends to extend the hikes sometimes though π
@elsalee26 & @sunshineandlemons I grew up in Central Illinois so I am very familiar with the acres of cornfields as far as the eye can see! Which is pretty much how I describe the state to everyone here in Vermont (who have no idea where IL is, and call it Iowa or Indiana). π
Thatβs awesome @zinnia19! Β I love the sweet smell of the air from the corn in the summer. I lived in STL for a few years and when Iβd come back home, that was one of my favorite things.Β
Introduce yourself: Michelle! Used to be here a lot with my first pregnancy, 9 years ago!Β
Due date? 7/29Β
How did you find out? Β We were TTA so I took an OPK bc I thought my FW was coming up. The OPK was blazing, so I took a test and the test line was so much darker than the control! I started spotting so I went in for an u/s and there were 2 heartbeats in the same sac soβ¦ twins.Β
Tell us about yourself: this is a (happy) surprise. What we thought was baby #5 is actually 5&6! Our children are 9, 7, 4.5 and almost 2.
How are you feeling? Β I'm overwhelmed and tired! Next appt is 12/22 so we will hopefully see babies again.Β
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Hmm probably peanut butter. I looooove it.Β
Hi everyone! Β Another Michelle here π. Β Iβm 9 weeks today, due date July 15th. Β Got to see the lil nuggets heartbeat last week which made it all feel so real!
My partner and I had been talking about TTC for years, but trying only for a few months. Β Feel lucky that it happened quick and so far things look good.
I live in the mountains in California. Β Love to do all of the active things around here - skiing, climbing, running, hiking. Β These first 2 months have been rough and just walking has been a struggle. Β Hoping I can be more active again soon when the fatigue and nausea subside a bit.
How did you find out?Β I didn't have PMS before my November regularly scheduled period, so I got suspicious... then I got super bad depression which happened with a previous pregnancy that I MC at 6 weeks, so I told my husband, "either I'm depressed because I'm PMSing, or I'm depressed because I'm pregnant." neither of us expected it because it was the first month after my MC but here we are!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)Β Been married to my DH for 10 years - I'm 37 and he's 47 and this will be our first! We have 3 dogs and 2 cats - a small zoo. We were talking about trying a couple of years ago but my mom died unexpectedly so we're finally in a good place emotionally.
How are you feeling? (First appointment?Β Any symptoms? Emotionally?)Β Pretty stressed! My first prenatal/u/s is tomorrow but early bloodwork was encouraging. Since we JUST had a MC in September, neither of us feels very excited and we're kind of taking it one day at a time. I've been extremely fatigued, moody, and nauseous, and I'm also on depression meds which makes me MORE anxious in some ways lol! But I have an all star psych so at least there is a good relationship there. Might be switching OB's since my previous one couldn't get me in 'til 10 weeks - after Christmas - and that stresses me out too!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.Β Normally, popcorn... but I'm really craving hot dogs this pregnancy?? (I have NOT given in!)
@appleblossom88 So jealous of your 40 acres! We just moved to 3 acres in Wisconsin's Northwoods and we're using up every bit of it. π Β
@julzy Don't worry about it, people will always judge you for your number of kids no matter the situation. I have two girls, my oldest daughter is turning 10 the week of my due date, and my youngest is almost 8 months old. I'm sure there will be a lot of surprise when people find out. I think strangers probably think my oldest is from a previous marriage or something, they always ask if our youngest is her sister. I've been with my husband for 13 years, we're just weirdos starting our lives over in our 30's after being destined to be early empty nesters.Β
@julzy I have 4 and some people just donβt know what to sayβ¦ and should probably just keep it to themselves. No matter the number, there are always comments. Β #1 when are you going to have another? Β #2 good! You have one of each, now you can be done! #3 you canβt stop at an uneven number! Β #4 donβt you know how this happens? Donβt you own a TV?Β
Iβm currently pregnant with twins, and Iβm dreading telling people even though we are excited. It sucks.Β
Tell us about yourself Iβm 40 and this is my first pregnancy. We made the appointment to get started on IVF then found out-surprise!-I was already pregnant naturally. H and I live outside of Portland, Oregon and Iβm an airline pilot
How are you feeling? Very surreal. Nausea throughout the day managed by small meals, lots of water and exercise. Portland is very grey and rainy for several months so getting enough sunshine has been the biggest struggle. As Iβm high risk, my OBGYN had me taken off work (I normally fly around the world for extended periods of time to places where access to adequate medical care isnβt always guaranteed). Not working and being in social isolation is taking a bit of a toll but Iβm catching up on a lot of Netflix and reading haha
GTKY Fun fact: Unable. Itβs a cross between a very thin pizza margarita and fish tacos from taco maria in Costa Mesa, Californiaβ¦but also crackers and cheese and juicy PEARS. Cooked vegetables make me Want to vomit so I subscribe to Daily Harvest meal delivery to disguise my vegetables I. Something more palatable
@knottie7bec309debc47b35 sounds like you and I have similar stories. I am 38, and I had a consultation with an IVF person November 2nd to start IVF in January, but then I found out I was pregnant November 10th naturally. Funny how that happens sometimes. π Also, you might want to change your username to something a little easier, and maybe more meaningful, for people to find & tag you.
Thatβs wonderful! So happy for you guys!! Yeah, in my profile, I have the username I created but in the posts, it keeps showing up as this default one. Iβll contact the adminβ¦
Introduce yourself: Hi, I am G. I live in Singapore with my husband. My husband and I are 31yo.
Due date? July 16, 2022
How did you find out? When we turned 30, we did a fertility checkup only to get the bad news that he was diagnosed with Azoospermia earlier this year. The doc said it would be impossible naturally to conceive and we have to go with the ICSI option. We went through months of getting our heads around the shock and trauma of that news and planning to get it done sometime in the next few years.
Then, I started feeling sick, stomach ache and loss of appetite and got diagnosed with gallbladder issue while we were planning our first trip in 2 years. Then I missed my period, and out of habit, I bought a pregnancy test. Totally expecting it to be negative as always, especially because of our diagnosis. Didn't even take it for days, and one day I did and it turned positive. I freaked out majorly but my husband was calm. Then he went out and got 5 more tests to be sure and all turned out positive. Then got tested and went to an u/s to know that we were 7 weeks 4 days in already and heard the baby's heartbeat! πΒ
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am a lawyer turned career coach and my husband is an engineer. We love to eat and travel and travel while we eat.Β
How are you feeling?Β
Still getting my head around it honestly. From being told we would have a lot of trouble having a baby to hearing the baby's heartbeat, this year has been a whirlwind of emotions.Β
GTKY Fun fact: I heaved when someone mentioned 'pork pickle' at the dinner table. I was an ardent non-vegetarian, but now preferring vegetarian.Β
How did you find out? Lost track with of my cycle between all the fall activities and realized I was a liiiiiittle more than 3 days late (more like 2 weeks lol)
Tell us about yourself: married with 2 kids (b5,b2) and one pupperoni. Work as a reviewer for SNAP to ensure the program is working accurately.π΄ sorry for the snoozefest!Β
How are you feeling? (First appointment?Β Any symptoms? Emotionally?) feeling great now that Iβve hit 13 weeks! That first tri is always so tiring! Feeling emotionally better since I was able to tell everyone at Christmas β€οΈ
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. chocolate mint. Hands down. Itβs a necessity.
@acleverusername Hi friend! I felt bad for sneaking away! But

so excited for your FET in April, but I bet youβll be a special unicorn and get

How are you feeling? I teeter between being terrified and being so excited I nearly canβt stand myself. From what I can tell, Iβve been rather lucky, as most days the nausea is minimal. Sometimes itβs rough but itβll be all worth it in the end!
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Iβm such a foodie, this question always stumps me. Iβd probably go for bibimbap, which is a Korean rice dish. Or chocolate in any form lol
Hey! I am a mama to 6 kids . 3 boys and 3 girls, and currently pregnant with my 7th! I was very nauseous from week 6-8 and started feeling less sick around my 9th week. I am due July 22. And if I could only have 1 food forever, I would choose French fries or tacos!
Introduce yourself:Β Hello! Iβm a little late to the game here, but Iβm Britt! Located down in the sunshine state βοΈ
Due date?Β July 23Β
How did you find out? My husband and I spent Nov / Dec down in Puerto Rico to work / live til just before Christmas, in tangent withΒ a spiritual wellness retreat I hosted. We found out the day we got down there, and after 7 tests all showing pregnant over the course of a week we knew it was legit! We suffered a miscarriage back in May and this was our first time getting pregnant since that experience. Being away from my doctors/midwives up until week 9 was the biggest act of surrender Iβve ever had to do, but I also knew in my heart this one is different β€οΈ I wouldnβt have gone through this again any other way as it really expanded my relationship with my body and spirit babies.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Iβm a holistic wellness and life coach for women and am a huge believer there is no one size fits all approach to life. Iβm also a podcast host, first time mom, and dog mom to two adorable labradoodles. My husband and I love being on or by the water, love to surf and participate in other watersports, practice yoga, enjoy the outdoors, Iβm a big fan of morning rituals and deff a personal development and wellness junkie. I love to travel, have new experiences, and love learning. I make it a point to watch the sunset (in some aspect) every evening to close the day. Β
How are you feeling? (First appointment?Β Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Β Aside from the fatigue and constant nausea I feel great! My eating habits have done a total 180 from what they normally are but I trust my body and growing baby knows what they need. Overall feeling excited to hear the heartbeat on Jan 11! We had an early US two weeks ago and got to see our babe moving and with heartbeat, but to hear the heartbeat next week is something we are so excited for. I feel like that will be a huge milestone and Iβll be able to relax more after that.
GTKY Fun fact: Iβve been plant-based the last few years, per a personal health choice, but the last few weeks have been craving/eating animal meat! Lol.Β
Hey everyone! Congratulations on all these sweet July babies!! I live in NC with my husband, 3 boys, and fur babies. We're expecting our first girl (according to Sneak Peek test) in July! We have had our last two babies at home and plan to do the same this time. I'm also a birth photographer and doula and love supporting women through this incredible time! So excited for you all!
Due date? 7/21
How did you find out? I had some odd symptoms so I decided to test to trike out pregnancy π€£ We we're both shocked!
How are you feeling? Feeling very nauseous but I think it might be fading π we had an ultrasound and got to see baby squirming around - so cute! My first prenatal appt with my midwife is this week and I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again!
GTKY Fun Fact: That's such a hard question but I think I'd have to say avocado!
Introduce yourself: Hello everyone. I am super late to join. My name is Isis. I am located in Massachusetts.
Due date? July 30th
How did you find out? I noticed AF hadn't come but that's nothing new. So I decided to test just to get those feelings out and what do you know...a BFP!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am 34, DH is 40. We have two children, an 8 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. I am a 4th grade special education teacher, hubby is a computer technician. Both of our kiddos have autism. My son is non-verbal while my daughter won't stop talking. LOL. I look forward to being on this journey with all of you. I love my June '17 Mom Group and the bond we have developed over the years. I am hoping to form similar bonds with all of you. I hesitated posting my intro simply because I have experienced 3 miscarriages between both my children. So I didn't want my hopes up quite yet.
How are you feeling? (First appointment?Β Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment is on Thursday (1/6). I am so anxious for an ultrasound. I would like to see a heartbeat to calm my nerves. I have been feeling super nauseous and fatigued since week 5. The nausea comes and goes, so I have been eating smaller meals like 6-8 times a day and that has helped some.Β
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. I would probably eat taco truck tacos forever lol

Didn't even take it for days, and one day I did and it turned positive. I freaked out majorly but my husband was calm. Then he went out and got 5 more tests to be sure and all turned out positive. Then got tested and went to an u/s to know that we were 7 weeks 4 days in already and heard the baby's heartbeat! πΒ

How did you find out? I went in to my gynecologist for an ultrasound because I have PCOS and assumed the pains I was having were cysts. Boy, was I wrong! The tech turned the screen around and said βItβs not a cyst! You have a baby!β I was floored! As many nights as I had spent sobbing because I was afraid I wouldnβt have my ownβ¦. I called my fiancΓ© from the parking garage and told him I was six weeks along and we cried together. Lol
Tell us about yourself: I am 30 years old and my fiancΓ© and I have been together for nine years. This is our first and we have so many questions lol. I work for a firearms company here in SC, as a customer service lead and am over the moon to start this journey.
Lol.Β
Due date?
Due date? July 30th
How did you find out? I noticed AF hadn't come but that's nothing new. So I decided to test just to get those feelings out and what do you know...a BFP!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am 34, DH is 40.
