  • Introduce yourself: Hi! I'm Sarah. I've been lurking for a couple weeks now and exited to finally be able to post!

    Due date? 7/26/22

How did you find out? Took an hcg test this morning and got a faint postitive! I'll take another in a few days.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I'm 32 and I've been married to my husband for 6 years. We have a 3.5 y/o son and a 1.5 y/o dog named Pepper. We moved to Cincinnati from northern KY summer of 2020 and I left my job as a medical assistant at an ob-gyn office because I didn't want to do the commute across the river. Been a SAHM since. 😊
*TW* Just experienced a loss in September (I was on the April board for a few weeks) so I'm happy for this positive and praying it sticks.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) No appointment yet, I'm going to wait until next week to call and make one just to be sure. I'm pretty in tune with my body and I definitely feel like I'm pregnant. (Lordy,  the pregnant farts. 😳)

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Sushi! There is such a variety that I don't think it would ever get boring. My favorite is a nice spicy tuna roll with maybe some avocado and some other stuff mixed in there. Reeeally considering having one last roll. 🤔

  • Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be here 😊

    Introduce yourself:
My name is Courtney and I am Canadian

    Due date?
July 19th ish (haven't seen health care provider yet)

    How did you find out?
Impatient during the two week wait and testing frequently 🙈

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I'm a high school teacher, I have a son who is almost 3 years old. We recently moved back to my hometown for multiple reasons, but being closer to my parents for extra help with childcare has been amazing for our family!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Feeling OK - more excited AND more nervous this time around, because I know more about what to expect 😬

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.

Pasta, for sure. I love Italian food, and most food actually. I love to cook and try new recipes as well!

  • @stardustskies small world! My husband and I grew up in northern KY, and our families are still there--we visit often :)
  • @L1C4gal Thank you so much!!!
  • @cindyloowho82 - I’m due July 14 too :)
  • @tsh2021 Yay! So exciting, congratulations!
  • @jellie603 Welcome! You and I are due date buddies! I got my BFP 10dpo and I'm waiting to call my doctor til probably like Tuesday so I get it. 😊
  • Hi all! Excited/nervous to be here…

    Due date? July 8

How did you find out? Took a test since I was late. Immediately sent DH to the store for more tests since I was convinced it was a false positive. Nope!!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Been with DH over a decade and we have 2 kids, ages 3.5 and 1. Nervous but excited to have babies so close in age!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Really, really, really anxious. And TIRED! Super nauseous if I go too long without eating.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Pizzaaaaa! 🍕
  • @2022momof3 My oldest two are exactly two year apart (by one week) and this baby will be nearly exactly three years from my middle boy.
I LOVE them being close. It comes with challenges for sure, but they are such buddies. I think having them close is the way to go 😊

    Introduce yourself:

Hey All, I’m Brittany. I’m 32 (33 a week from Tuesday) I’m kind of a Bump veteran. Been around since 2012 though not always super active in the community. I like to lurk and read intros and birth stories mostly 😅.

    Due date?
    7/5

    How did you find out?

Well… every time I’m pregnant I lose all sense of direction. Last week was a sh*tshow every time I drove anywhere so I finally decided to test. The hubs and I were in bed late last night and I yelled “SH*T!” And scared the crap out of him when I saw the second line 😆😆

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)

My Husband and I have been married 13 years this past month. Our anniversary is when we conceived thanks to a little mishap where we decided to just forgo the whole protection thing one time.

We have 4 kids. DS 8, DS 5, DS 3 (turning 4 at the end of the month) and DD 2. I’m a terrible pregnant person. I’m determined to really enjoy this because we are done after this babe. I love my kids and love being a mom. I recently took a leave of absence from my upper management position because I proved I can work and climb the ladder but realized I want to be a mom more. I homeschool and love to knit/crochet.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)

I’m tired. I’m actually happy to be having our 5th. I love being a mom but I’m not excited about being pregnant and definitely not looking forward to dealing with other people and their comments on what’s happening. We don’t plan to tell many people for quite awhile because I don’t want to deal. I haven’t called to make an appointment yet. At some point I will, I’m just not sure when. Got to let it sink in a little more.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever?

I don’t even want to think about one food forever lol but I like Mediterranean so it would need to be in that vein.

    **edited for pregnant brain typos
  • That’s awesome to hear! Hope my kids will be the same way!
  • Introduce yourself: ashley! 👋🏻 also posting cautiously, but i want to be here!!!

    Due date?:
    7/29/22 (though i will have a c section at 39 weeks - so maybe 7/22/22?)

    How did you find out?:
i have been getting very faint positives for 2 days. i believe i am 9/10 dpo (very early but got dark positives around this time with both DD’s).

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)

i have two daughters - summer girls (July and August) + i am a stay at home mom!
i like to go on walks, read, and shop!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?):
i reached out to my ob this morning to hopefully go in for a beta tomorrow. 🤞🏻 i wake up in the am with a pounding headache and nauseous but it goes away, repeat at night. i haven’t told my hubby yet because the positives are so faint - i want to be sure so i’m a little emotional.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.:
    hmm… probably pizza 🍕

hoping i get the opportunity to stick around and connect with everyone! ❤️
  • Introduce yourself: I’m Melanie 👋🏼

Due date? July 26-ish, though my first 2 were both early

How did you find out? I was expecting my period yesterday and since we were trying to get pregnant I used a cheapie test last evening. I will probably keep peeing on sticks because I have a bunch that expire soon 😂

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m a SAHM with 2 boys - 6 and 2. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and married for 8. I enjoy reading, watching British period dramas and love animals.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I had to nap this morning but I give up coffee for the first trimester and my toddler had me up for 2 hours last night so that might be why! I’m also wanting to eat allthefood but my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I get full quickly. Having some mild cramping too.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Brownies
  • @lilibea I feel you on the hiding it at work! There’s a *lot* of social drinking that goes on when I’m on work trips and it’s tough to hide not drinking! Can’t imagine having to not smoke and work in your industry. I’m curious…are you in production or marketing?
  • @twentythree19 ancillary sales :) so not around it constantly- though jury is still out if that is even bad. i have a lot of work trips planned too!!
  • Introduce yourself: hi everyone. I’m introducing here very…anxiously?

    Due date? July 30

How did you find out? Tested, and continuing to test because I’m kind of in shock.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am married for three years, together 9 years. Late twenties, stay at home mom. I have GBG, DD1 just turns 4, DS is 2, DD2 is 9 months.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m a little bit in shock, scared, anxious, and confused, excited. It’s a mixed bag.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. — so random, pho Vietnamese soup. Sooooooo gooooddddd.
  • @LJMoon6 hi friend!!! I can't remember what I said for my intro but I'm totally team pastry. Looking back.... yup I definitely talked about pastries haha.

    inthewoods23 said:
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Tiramisu might be the one thing I would never say no to. Oh and maybe hash browns. Or any breakfast food for that matter. Pastries are the best. And by pastries I mean cinnamon rolls!! :yum:

  • Due date: 7/14/2022

How did you find out? I was late by 1 week and I was getting anxious so I took a pregnancy test from when I was pregnant with my 1 year old, it was expired but it turned positive so I ran to the closest pharmacy and I am indeed pregnant for the 4th time in my life.

Tell is about yourself: I have three boys, 7, 6 and 1 so you would think we did this intentionally but I am in the process of getting preclinical hours for my masters and would have wanted to wait another year. Husband is and electrical contractor and I am an elementary school teacher. We like to bike and go to the beach.

How are you feeling? I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed. My husband and I were not ready for the third baby and now we are having a fourth. I need to look into other options of birth control.

GTKY fun fact: If I could only eat only one thing forever it would probably be stroop waffles 😋

Welcome @LJMoon6 - fellow New Englander here!

Edit: because...wait...  I SWORE I read you said you were from New England. Then I re-read and realized I mashed up two posts 😂.
Sooooo... Welcome @zinnia19 - fellow New Englander here!
  • @LJMoon6- I’m from the Midwest as well. Grew up in Joplin, Missouri. Got my law degree in Kansas City. And am now in Bentonville.
  • @zinnia19 HUGE peanut butter fan here too :) I could definitely eat it every day.
  • Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm Lauren!

    Due date? 7/26ish

How did you find out? Was testing starting at 8DPO and got that second line (albeit, vvvfl) at 9DPO. Decided to remain chill about this bfp for a few days because I have a history of loss. Currently waiting for my second hcg level to come back to confirm doubling, so here's to hoping!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
Been married for 7 years to my husband. We have two children - DS is 4yo (O17 BMB) and DD is 2.5 next week (M19 BMB). We have two senior dogs and I work as an attorney.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Waiting on my hcg results and as long as they doubled, we'll set my first appointment. I'm hoping they'll bring me in early around 6ish weeks because of my history of loss (including ***TW** a MC/blighted ovum just in October at 7weeks). Symptoms have mostly only been fatigue and some cramping here or there. Got my first bit of lightning crotch yesterday and that is a feeling I do not miss.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever. Lately, my answer would be TikTok pasta. Yum.
    Me: 35     DH: 37
    BFP: 1.6.16 | MC: 2.17.16
    BFP: 10.3.16 | CP: 10.11.16
    BFP: 12.14.16 | CP: 12.14.16
    BFP:  1.23.17 | EDD 10.6.17 -- DS born 10.7.17 <3
    BFP:  9.9.18 | EDD 5.23.19 -- DD born 5.24.19 <3

    Baby #3 Due: July 7th, 2022
(maybe I only ovulate in October XD)
  • @laeberge3 omg that tik tok pasta is sooooo good!
  • @karati_07-21-22 welcome! I also turned 31 in October!
  • Introduce yourself: Hello from another New Englander! I see a few of us here which is cool. I grew up in and still live in NH. I'm 31 and this will be my 2nd child. I am really horrible at keeping up here, but I'm going to try really hard this time around! I know I'll need an outlet as my closest friends are childless and it will be nice to have people to connect with.

    Due date? 7/20 ish

How did you find out? Just took a test this morning after being very suspicious all week (possibly denial). We dealt with unexplained IF for two years with our first and were in the "not preventing but not exactly trying" stage this time around so I'm definitely in (happy) shock.

Tell us about yourself: I will very briefly be in the 2 kids under 2 camp when this one comes along. My DD was born Oct 2020 and she is almost 14 months old! MH and I both had siblings close in age so we definitely wanted the same. MH (34) is a PM for an Environmental Engineering company and I'm a retail manager for a gift shop. I'm very nervous about 1st tri falling in the busiest month of my year dealing with crazy Christmas shopping, long hours, and grumpy people. I'm really hoping I won't be as sick as last time.
I love pets and have basically a zoo. In my free time (haha, what's that?) I like to craft and sew. Haven't done much of that this past year, hoping to find some time to atleast make baby a quilt.

How are you feeling? I haven't gotten in touch with the doc yet, no big rush this time around since I know the appointment won't be for quite a few weeks. I'm not having any crazy symptoms yet, but have been dealing with a bad cold for the past week which probably overshadowed anything I would have been feeling anyway. Definitely feeling hesitantly excited at this point.

GTKY Fun fact: I will eat grilled cheese all day, everyday!
  • Introduce yourself: Hi, everyone. Excited FTM here

    Due date? July 1st 2022

How did you find out? My husband and I had started trying a month prior and then my period was late. Waited 6 days before taking 3 tests.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I are engineers. We live with our 2 dogs and cat. Hobbies include hiking, martial arts, and going out with friends.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am experiencing some nausea and am so exhausted. All I want to do is nap. I had my first OB appointment last week and will have my 1st scan next week.

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what you would choose if you could only eat one thing forever.
I couldn't. I'd hate it passionately within 2 weeks. I need variety. If I had to pick a style, rice bowls since those are easily customized with different toppings.
