@meggyme Marie is one of my favorite middle names and I think those sound lovely together. Plus they are easy to “yell”, which is my test for a name I think you said you like outlaw country in the other post (or maybe it was @maggiemadeit?) and Lucille Mae would be a super cute “country” name IMO
I’m glad you revived it, I was going to do the same for my own selfish reasons. Now that we know it’s a boy and I don’t get to use my long list of girl names we’re trying brainstorm. I like Aaron Matthew but MH wants the middle name to be Campbell and/or initials to be CCC because his grandfather was Chester Campbell C—. We both like Connor as a potential first name but I am at a loss for alternative “C” middle names as we’ve ruled out a bunch of traditional and recent/eweneek names. I love names with a good meaning (hence Aaron Matthew), any ideas??

@mayoduck DD is Jacqueline Deanna. I like pretty traditional names, but not currently popular ones. I like that Jacqueline was popular in the 60’s so everyone pretty much knows how to say/spell it but she won’t have a million in her class.
@mamakate1616 it was me that liked outlaw country, so the only saving grace for Marie is the Blaster’s song. But having 2 song names (Lucille by Little Richard and Marie by the Blasters) might be a bit too thematic. I do like Mae.
So far I found: Lucille Elise Lucille Elizabeth Lucille Grace Lucille Hope Lucille Rose Lucille Simone
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
@mamakate1616 friends of ours just had Calvin Coleson - last name isn't C though... @meggyme as if you won't have any votes, mine would be Lucille Rose in that list you gave
DH and I have started talking about names. Our goal is to go to the hospital with 2-4 options for both genders and then decide when we meet our LO. Right now top contenders are:
Girl- Annalise Jo (both names are derivative of our grandmother's) Elena Josephine (middle is my grandmother's) Keira JoAnn (middle derives from our grandmothers')
Boy- Caleb Michael (middle is my father's) Christopher Jay (middle is derivative of FIL's name) Sean Nickolas (middle is DH's)
I feel very strongly about middle names being family names, obviously
I know a Natalie Joy! Love her and love the name! Natalie Claire & Natalie Paige are also high up for me. Great choices!
We love Margot James for a girl and Emmett for a boy but we're torn on middle names. I love Emmett Grey, but I'm still working to convince DH on Grey as a middle. I also love India Lee (Lee is DH's mom's middle name too) and we'd call her Indie.... but it's a little close to "Indigo" (which is in my blog name) and I don't want people to think I did that on purpose so I'm struggling with that one too....
I’m a fan of naming after deceased relatives (Jewish tradition). Both maternal grandfathers for DH and I were named Joe, so that’s a heavy front runner for a boy. I also really love Jo and Joey for girls, but haven’t come up with anything for them to be short for (Josephine, Joanna, Jolene, Joelle are nos) and don’t really want Jo or Joey as full first names. I love Violet or Vivian in honor of my grandmother Virginia, but DH isn’t in love with either of those.
@distractedbyshinyobjects that’s interesting because I have a thing against giving namesakes for people that are still alive. It feels like bad luck to me. TW: death and cancer My gma Deanna was dying of cancer when I was pregnant with DD and I couldn’t bring myself to make that decision until several months after she had passed.
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
@meggyme Same. Only name for deceased relatives. I have the perfect name for a girl after my living grandma, but I’m ecstatic that instead she’ll get to be a part of the baby’s life, so I won’t use it. Naming after living relatives is definitely a superstitious no-go for me.
@distractedbyshinyobjects I definitely read that backwards. I was like, that’s odd since generally kids named for living people will outlive the folks they’re named for. I understand now.

Our DD is Lillyana Violet Marie S... Dh and I have trouble agreeing on names but I like Noah Douglas, Caleb James or Nathaniel or Jameson for a boy and Meredith Rosalie, Emmalyn or Lorelei for a girl

I’m curious about two middle names too! DH and I are kind of at an impasse in that he really wants Campbell as a middle name and I don’t. My latest favorite (total about face from Aaron Matthew / Connor C??) is Theodore James. Wondering if Theodore James Campbell C— would be cool or too much. Google results are mixed as to whether it’s a hassle or not.

@mamakate1616 I think that name sounds nice. We're also doing two middle names. It's something I started years ago *tw* with my first pregnancy which ended in loss almost 7 years ago. *end of tw* my wife is completely on board.
I have two middle names because when I got married, I moved my maiden name to be a second middle and then added my husband's family name as my new last name. I want my kids to have my maiden name as a middle name too so they will likely all have two middle names.
@mamakate1616 We did two middle names for our DD (Isla Mary Rose *******) as well, and so far it hasn’t been a hassle. I think Theodore James Campbell ***** flows well!
So we added Henrietta yesterday to our list of possibilities (nickname Henny or Hetty). Now I hope we’re having a girl, haha, because I think it’s sweet and we still can’t agree on a boys name
@mamaoftwomonkeys love those names! I had a stuffy named Henrietta when I was little

I’ve been leaning towards Elias Parker, but I want it spelled Alias so people pronounce it that way and my husband says no that it’s silly. Am I wrong for thinking Alias is an acceptable spelling? Please be honest.
If we we have a daughter she will likely be nameless. I like Cami, but I want it spelled Kami and again my husband thinks it’s silly even though he pushed for our daughter Kali to be spelled with. K.
I haven’t typically wanted our kids to be the kids that all have the same first letter (just not my thing), but I want our daughter Kali to be included somehow.
My fathers middle name is his deceased older brothers first name so I thought about including Kali as a middle name for baby if it’s a girl but I cannot think of any names that Kali would fit as a middle name. Any suggestions?
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I should have googled first. Alias isn’t pronounced the way I thought. It’s pronounced A*lee*aus ... ugh I guess I’m stuck with the spelling Elias, I just didn’t want the nick name Eli. Then people will think he’s name after Eli Manning and that definitely not the case.

@bdesterhouse This is what I think of when I read Alias. I'm not sure that's what you mean by the correct pronunciation. Do you just mean an Ah sound instead of an Eh sound? Or do you mean you like the pronunciation A-lee-us, like alias or alter ego. Sorry, the pic is huge:
Personally I'm not a fan of alternate spellings or nicknames for given names.

When I googled Alias that picture popped up and I was f. That’s not what I wanted. I may be back to the drawing board for both names. I personally love Royce but my husband is against it. Which I don’t understand bc it was either Royce or Wyatt for our first. Wyatt won then so I figured it would still be a contender but sadly it got vetoed. I try not doing crazy alternative spelling bc my name growing up was annoying. I always had to correct how people said it or spelled it and I don’t want to do that to my kids.

We used two middle names because we really thought we wouldn't have anymore children since we had to adopt. With that being said, Violet is my mom's Mom's first name and she was adopted so it was really important to me and then Marie is my dad's Mom's first name and my sisters middle. I also like how it flowed we will not necessarily chose two names this time.

@chocolatelemons I love Natalie Paige. I know a set of twins named Natalie and Paige and I think they go really well together. We're waiting on our NIPT results before talking seriously about names but we both like Nathan for a boy and Emma, Brielle, and Ryleigh (but we won't use Ryleigh because it sounds like a combination of my other two kid's names) for a girl.
We’ve had a girls name since our last pregnancy 4yrs ago. My grandfather suggested it and we fell in love. So if we ever have a girl her name will be Fiona Rose. But since we’re having ANOTHER boy we’ve been torn on names (it took us 20+hrs driving across country to settle on Max Daniel for DS2). We want to honor my grandfather but he’s the first of 3 with the same name and we don’t want to take it from my cousin (the 3rd) as it’s his to give to his son if/when he has one. So we’re trying to find a different way. He was a deacon in the Catholic Church so we’re trying to find out his confirmation name and see if it’s something we like. I was tapped on boy names after DS1 - Jude Michael.
@BuckeyeNut05 I'm a FTM slacker who hasn't started either. And I don't even have the excuse of having already named any other kiddos, so hey you're doing better than me! We have plenty of time anyway! Haha.
@BuckeyeNut05 I have just started to think about names since finding out the (probable) sex yesterday.
My cousin didn’t have names picked for either of hers until they were born. I like the idea of waiting to see what the baby is like, but I am sure we will name the baby before then.
