Having difficulty posting my U/S, but just got back and there was my beautiful little peanut and a strong heartbeat at 125. After being worried last week because of high HCG, Dr says everything looks perfect at 6 weeks + 5.
Question. ... today is my first US appt. Will my vagina be seen?
Yes. I can't remember how far along you are, but in the early stages you will receive a transvaginal ultrasound so a probe will be used and your vagina will be seen.

I was so nervous about this appointment and potentially getting bad news that I've taken a step away from the Bump this week because of stress. Happily though, the appointment was amazing and we even got to see our teeny tiny even though I was originally told there wouldn't be an ultrasound until the 12-week appointment. Seeing that little HB flicker was the MOST awesome experience!
*It's not very clear because the tech decided not to do a transvaginal ultrasound and I'm was 7+3 (baby measured 7+2) with HB of 160!

Had our first U/S this week. Expected 6w2d, but measured 5w5d. Good heartbeat, though the doppler was broken and we couldn't actually hear it, just saw it flicker on the screen. Our next appointment was pushed up a bit because we are going out of town and they'll do another u/s, so I'm not too nervous about the days being off since we'll get to check on the little bean again soon. If we had to wait longer, I'd probably be freaking out! DH told the tech he was happy to see just one in there, and she said, "Most likely just one, but this early there is a small chance there could be a twin not showing up yet; we had a patient recently who came in at 6 weeks showing twins and when she came back at 9 weeks, there were triplets!" I can't even imagine adjusting to the shock of twins just to be told a few weeks later it's actually 3!

I had my first U/S this past Wednesday. Told me so much information; more than previous doctors did with my last 2. I am now 8w 5d and heart rate was at 161!
@AMCsquared I've had a LOT of transvaginal US and yes your covered by a sheet but I've never inserted my own probe so don't necessarily expect that!
Haha. Yeah everyone is different. My very first one they did but since then (ive had about 6) try asked me to do it. I would rather, I know where it should go. Hehehe
I want to post mine!! I just got home from my first ever US. as I had guessed, 7 weeks 5 days. I asked the Dr if I was hearing my own heartbeat or the baby and she looked at me like duh. Haha! It's a little surreal. I have to admit I am feeling a huge relief bc I was very worried to hear the worst.
Also surprised to see that it was less blob like than I imagined. Still not baby like but I was expecting more of a random circle blob shape. It definitely looks more like the baby mutant head and tail shape I see on the apps.
Thankful to god. Alhumdilliah.

I also felt like the actual screen time was super fast!! Anyone else?
My husband said he thinks everyone at the office thought we were younger than we are or something bc the Dr said "so are u ready to take care of a baby?" But I just think that's normal! Then he was humming and the receptionist said wow you're happy and he goes "that's what happens when it's planned!" lolllllllll. Thanksss dh.

We had the first US today, and measured a week behind, measuring at 6weeks 5 days instead of 7 weeks 5 days like it should be. Just a small blob, not much to see around here. We did see a heartbeat. I'm stressed because we are seeing my PCP who is in family medicine, and now I'm wondering if that was a good idea or I should just go OB where they are 24/7 babies. BLAH.
Eeeeeek! Saw the little wiggly worm this morning! HR of 179, moving a ton. Measuring exactly as my estimated due date based on my LMP. So surreal, and starting to feel real now! Plus, they were able to pick it up transabdominally, no vaginal probe! Yay!
@vauxthekate I laughed out loud, for real! That's too funny.
I was hoping to have a picture to add here today since I had my appt, but it looks like my OB doesn't to USs and now I have to wait another two weeks (I'll be 10+5.)
Here's my little bean almost two weeks ago at 5w6d (I'm now 7w4d). I'm so thankful that we were able to see and hear the heartbeat at this scan--it was so amazing! My OB said baby's measurements were on target with my LMP date. Only another couple weeks till the next US!
Between 7-8 weeks. The clinic I went to just strictly does ultrasounds and wasn't in a hospital. I just went to see the heartbeat so they didn't do a dating scan (which costs a lot more). I am now between 8-9 weeks. I'm a little worried because the heartbeat seemed low to me at 122bpm. My next ultrasound (at the hospital) is scheduled a few weeks from now. Hoping everything is still going well.
My doctor said if he was just looking at levels and my chart, he would think I already had a miscarriage. I have the lowest levels he has ever seen in his career. That being said, the baby is measuring 2 days ahead at 8 weeks, strong heartbeat of 174 bpm, and is perfect! He and the other OB doctors are flabbergasted! Miscarriage is still a risk, but I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that our little bean hangs on in there!!
@AMCsquared it's just to have them "pin" a certain thread at the top of the board. We have 3 now I think, spreadsheet, the guidelines, I can't remember the other one right now, haha. Usually ultrasounds gets stickied too.
