Re: Low AMH Level

  • @bakerstreetboys wonderful news!!!

@jamieH2000 I am always on doxycycline  for FET and also Metronidazole so def covered on antibiotics and I was on -5mg of prednisone last time too but this time what is new is the lovenox.  And the neupogen and extra intralipids:). I am GF 1000%.  As for dairy I was dairy free for a long time and my retrievals got worse if anything so I now am super dairy low, like I cook with butter and eat at restaurants where I know the food is cooked with butter.  I guess I could cut that out too?  But I really don’t think it will make a difference and would just be another thing to worry about. Lol.

DOR - AMH  .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)
    2 iui's to start - BFN
    IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5!    2 5AA 1 6BB  PGS results =  all abnormal :(
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty.  Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled -  looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!!  1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
    Chemical pregnancy
    FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2????   Miscarriage at 8 weeks.  viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal :(

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
    1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

  • It finally arrived! I don't think I have been ever this happy for the arrival of AF.  Went in this morning for baseline ultrasound and everything looks good. RE said on one side she can see 4 resting follicles, other side was not too clear.  Have taken my Lupron now and ready to make this cycle work! Anyone ever do acupuncture during this process? I did last time and my cycle didn't go so well so not sure if I want to invest money and more time commitment for treatment this time.

    Have a nice weekend!

  • Kp214Kp214 member
@Imajin99 yay!!! Thank goodness she arrived. That’s awesome about the 4 resting follicles. I’m hoping there are at least that many on the the side. I did acupuncture leading up to my last cycle. I think I went once a week and even while stimming (I think). I found it relaxing. I don’t know if it helped but it was about the only time I was able to relax.

  • @hopuful_mom I don’t remember! I’ll ask my RE. I just remember her saying the active NK cells was elevated and suddenly agreed to prednisone and recommended intraipids.  That was for first FET.

oh @JamieH2000 also doing the HCG wash is new this time around! My goodness we are doing ALL the things!!!  I’m kinda terrified to get my calendar.  I thought my last FET was bananas with all the estrogen, Lupron, antibiotics, steroids, and intraipids, this time it’s gonna look reeeaallly bananas!

@imajin99 yay for Af!!!!!   As for acupuncture, I’ve done a bunch of it with different acupuncturists.  It’s expensive and a pain to fit into your schedule and I can’t say it has helped me yet:-/ but I go cuz I’m afraid not to go!

  • @Imajin99Yay for AF's arrival!  I never thought I'd say that until IF came along :)  Hopefully you get lots of follies on both sides.  I didn't do acupuncture this time around, but I'll be asking about it if we go another round.

I feared my phone ringing all day yesterday, but it didn't.  So hopefully we'll be transferring two day 3 embryos later this morning!  No idea on the grading yet.
  • Thanks everyone, I will probably do a few sessions of the acupuncture in this cycle as well.

  • Hello,

I hope I am doing this correctly i tried to add a new discussion but it didn't end up in this thread.

We are considering IVF with ICSI and were told that because of my wife's age and AMH level there is a chance we'll need a donor egg. We aren't interested in this option and I'm concerned that the IVF clinic wants us to try anyway even if the chances are very low. Have there been any other ladies on this board who had success with similar age and AMH and if so how many cycles did it take?

    Thanks!!

  • @kp214- How did the transfer go?  Hope you are feeling well!

@emmasemm - How are you doing? Do you have your baseline ultrasound today?

AFM-Day 4 of stimulating meds and already feeling bloated and hoping that mean that follicles are growing and ovaries are expanding.  I didn't feel this at all in the last cycle which was cancelled.  Going in tomorrow morning for bloodwork and will let you know how it goes.

  • @kp214 I hope the transfer went well!
@Imajin99 Hopefully that means lots of follies are growing :)
@emmasemm I was wondering about you too.  I hope you are ready to start the next cycle soon and that they figure out the other issues you're having!
  • @kp214 hope youre ok???

@imajin99 oooh hope your monitoring appointment shows good progress tomorrow

@bakerstreetboys hope you’re managing the wait until beta without too much stress

@hopefuljj when will you get your new calendar?

@hopeful_mom I retold your fire vag story earlier this week, always thinking of you  <3

@jamieh2000 when is your next appointment?

AFM - thanks for checking up on me, boy have I been stressed and grumpy the last few days.
Baseline this morning and my ovaries were soooo quiet. There are maybe a few super tiny 1mm follies on both sides. Yep that small!  And my FSH was 2.6 and E2 was under 10. So I’m definitely still well suppressed- just hope not too much again.
And... because my labs were soooo low I get to try a Microdose Lupron cycle!!!!!!!!!
We will only do stims every other day this time too to see if we can avoid over cooking my eggs.
    First monitoring Monday...

Thanks, everyone, for checking on me. Transfer was this morning. It went well.  Beta isn’t until 8/6, but I plan to poas Tuesday. Haha. I don’t know how people have the restraint not to.

@JamieH2000 how are you?  Are yo being monitored weekly?

@Imajin99 I think that’s a good sign, feeling bloated. I hope so and that a lot of follies are growing.

@bakerstreetboys when do you plan to test?  Is the trigger out of your system?

@emmasemm that sounds like a good plan. Hope you have lots of follicles on Monday!

  • @lmajin99- I hope those ovaries are working hard!! Can't wait to hear good news tomorrow!!

@emmasemm- yayyy!! I really hope that MDL works great for you! Seems to be either aawesome or horrible, but hoping its awesome for you. You deserve the best cycle yet!!!

@kp214- yay for being PUPO!! Good for you for POAS! I wish I could have, but i would have gotten too down if it was negative and then I would have to go to work and wouldn't be able to keep it together in my corporate job. Hopefully its a quick BFP for you since your body knows how to do this!!

AFM- I did have an appt today and it went well! We got the see the baby and for the first time it looked like a baby and not just a blob. I think it made my husband actually get excited and made it real for him! I am still super sick but managing. Grateful every day, even if most of my hours not at work are just on the couch. They are letting me come back weekly, so another scan next week :)

@emmasemm Ooh, exciting!  Hopefully the new protocol gets you the best results yet!
@Kp214 Oh, I definitely can't resist POAS!  The trigger is down to a squinter, so I'll do it again on Saturday.  I had planned on using a FRER on Sunday for the "real" test, but then I overthought it!  Since it's so much more sensitive than a wondfo, maybe it will pick up trace amounts of trigger that the cheapie doesn't and it will be a false BFP!  So, I'll use another wondfo on Sunday and obsess over whether or not the line has gotten back to a squinter :)  We have our betas on the same day!  Fingers crossed!
@JamieH2000 That's great news!  A baby and not just a blob :)  That's wonderful that they're letting you come back weekly...every little bit of reassurance helps.  It must feel good to know that it seems real for your husband now too.  Enjoy your couch time!

I'm 4dpt and super crampy...so spending way too much time on Google.  I feel like I usually do before AF :/
  • @emmasemm Exciting! We are cycling together and I am on the Micro-Lupron as well. 5 injections a day with the HGH. Tummy is already bruised but well worth it for the end result.  Hope you have a great scan on Monday and those little follicles grow!

@kp214- Congrats on being PUPO (since this was mentioned a lot in the last few posts I had to look up what it stands for and I love it now!)

@bakerstreetboys- could the cramping be form trigger shot? I would try not to stress too much or Google too much. Enjoy the next while and look forward to you seeing a squinty on Sunday. Keep us posted.

@JamieH2000 That sounds so sweet and amazing! Big smile on my face when I read your post about your DH excitement. My hubby has been super supportive during this whole process, hoping this cycle works and I can give him this gift.

  • @JamieH2000 thrilled u got to see baby!! It's amazing how each week it gets more real with lol wiggling fingers and toes!!! I'm so exited and yay for weekly US I'm all about that as u know ;)

@emmasemm feeling is mutual as I think of u often!! Really hoping MDL works for u...as it was already said it's either great or a dud! And u deserve greatness!! Glad my vag keeps ya talking  :D she's been through hell she can right a book  :D

Looking forward to hearing more good news from all of u stemming and ladies in waiting just tough to tag everyone!

  • Just had a call from the clinic and my E2 level is very low, only 135 pm/ol (Canadian), at this stage they like to see it between 500-1,000. :(
  • @Imajin99 sorry to hear that your levels were lower than you wanted them to be. What day are you on?  Mine were low on the first draw too, but we’re over 600 on the second draw. Are they going to up your dosage, or retest?  Fx the numbers climb for you.

@JamieH2000 that’s great that you get to see your LO weekly.  I hope the first trimester eases up and you feel better soon.

@bakerstreetboys it’s silly of me but I am going to have a hard time waiting until Tuesday to test.

@Imajin99 I know that’s disappointing but hang in there. Your husband wants this to be successful for you as well. I’m sure he would say he wishes he could give this to you, to take on the hard stuff too.

Thanks everyone. Between the pio and the herniated discs, my low back has been hurting. I’ve lost my touch forgiving myself the pio shots. Oh well.  It will get better.

  • @bakerstreetboys  & @Kp214 Thanks for your kind words.  I am on day 5 (tested before my evening shots).  I go back on Tuesday for ultrasound and blood work and praying its better.  They can't up the dose as I am on the maximum.  I thought with the bloating that it was follicles growing but maybe its the HGH making me feel bloated.  Keep you all posted with Tuesday results, have a good weekend.
  • @bakerstreetboys
Excited to have you see a squinter pop up soon!!!

@imajin99 I'm sorry about the estrogen lady, but you are still very early so i am hopeful.  My Estrogen is always SUPER low at that stage of stimming, it doesn't go up for me until i have a few over 10mm and even then it remains low:( Hoping you have a good scan on Tuesday and BW is showing estrogen much higher! I get the bloating and stuff big time too, even when i only have a few follicles...it gets very uncomfortable and i'm like, how do some women get 20 and 30 eggs, and i'm over here like crippled with 4 follicles???   weird.

@Kp214  PUPOOOO!!!!!!!!!!  I so hope that your skills for the PIO come flooding back!  i did the same thing at the beginning of this FET, i was like, i totally suck at this again, but then i somehow started to find the sweet spot again and all was well :)   When are you going to start POAS??  LOL and to answer your question on how some of us wait till BETA, it is FEAR. Fear that won't allow me to NOT see a line that keeps me from doing it. lol. let's see if i do the same this cycle!

@jamieH2000  LADY! I am SO excited for you!!!! SO glad scan went great and baby is looking like a real baby now!!!!!!!  I hope the sickness eases up.  How are you managing at work?? Is the morning sickness contained to the morning or is it in reality all day???

AFM I am VERY busy at work. It's killings me. LOL  I have completely stopped going to acupuncture and need to decide if I am going to figure out how the hell to possibly fit it in. I will def not be doing twice a week....but maybe i will get in once a week? I just think they will give me SUCH a hard time about that.   I had my nurse appointment which I did by phone.  We went over my calendar.  Now if anyone thought my last FET was complicated (I can't remember if i had the energy to actually list out ALL the things i did last cycle) well this is way more complicated.
But I managed to get off that call with my nurse and call my clinic and schedule my BW and monitoring (Aug 20)appointment that will happen before starting PIO, scheduled a scratch biopsy under anesthesia (Aug 10) cuz my RE said "If i do my job right, you will be in a lot of pain"...took that day off from work (UGH) scheduled an AM appointment for an HCG wash (which sounds insane, why is this even a thing? i need to look at the research some more) scheduled 2 different intralipid appointments (they wanted to up it from 1 to 2 before transfer this time for NK cells)  and took off 2 half days for those (double UGH) and took off the day for expected transfer, Aug 27th (yay!).  We are adding Lovenox shots and Neupogen shots so i've been working with a local pharmacy on the lovenox and found a mail order one who will compound the Neupogen (scared on how much it will cost) and will set up that delivery soon, and then doing the normal dance with my home pharmacy through my insurance to figure out luprolide and PIO.    Luckily the prednisone, estrogen, doxycycline can all just be filled at Wallgreens.    I'm still working on setting up alarms so i don't forget to start and stop different meds and don't forget different appointments.

OK!  I feel like i have 2 jobs.  One i get paid for and one I pay to be able to have.
@emmasem i keep thinking of you lady  and all you have to do on cycles...channeling your strength!

I need to finish all my employee reviews this weekend too....and am launching a huge project end of September so things are just so bananas.     I'm SO hoping for some BFP's on this board to get me more excited about this upcoming transfer.   OH and i have a call with Igenomix this week to confirm I am transferring on the timeline that my ERA recommended.  I made the appointment right after my WTF but they have  a long wait so interested to see what they say :)

  • @hopefuljj Wow, that's quite a protocol!  It sucks to have to take time off work, but hopefully it's all worth it!
@kp214 I'm not very good at waiting either!  Are you going to test out the trigger?

AFM- I used a FRER this morning at 7dp3dt and got a BFN.  I know it could still be too early, but I'm feeling pretty bummed out.  Even though I knew the odds were against me, I had moment of thinking, how could it not work?!  Blah.  Our next appointment isn't until mid-September and I'm starting to think I'm getting too old for this.
  • Kp214Kp214 member
@hopefuljj that is a lot of things to keep on top of. I’m glad your re is willing to try these things.

@bakerstreetboys I did a frozen embryo transfer, so there wasn’t a trigger shot. It is still early. **tw** with my lo, I didn’t see a faint line until 7dp5dt. If you test tomorrow, I hope you get your bfp.
