  • I think I get more frustrated because he sticks just about everything he can find in his mouth.

But for some odd reason the second I put any food in front of him, he tosses it across the room.

I'm going to start throwing food on the floor for him pretty soon.  The sad thing is, it would probably work.

I have a long weekend (I took two vacation days).  I plan to clean out my old clothes and find out what fits and what doesn't.  I'm going to donate a ton of stuff and probably keep a few things to use the fabric for odd projects.

But I have a ton of old Bras in awesome condition.  Some of which I may have only worn once or twice and found out they didn't fit me right.

What can I do with them?

    It all revolves around you.
  • Crap. Crap crap crap. Looks like I'm getting a new computer. :(. The graphics card on my laptop crashed. So now I'm using the back up graphics card. Which means I can't play games on this thing. Looks like the rest of my school funding is going to buying me a new desktop. Bright side is that my current laptop will become my school one.

  • Would a painting that has a background the same exact color as the wall be weird? The rest of it would be very busy and vibrant... I feel like this could go either way of looking great or looking really bizarre.

Depends on the situation ITK.  I have one that is like that and I was hesitant at first, but it looks nice.  But my parents have one that's got a lot of white, on a white wall, and it looks boring and sad.  Framed?  Or canvas?

I made an alphabet pic for L's room and used a paint one shade darker than the walls. It looks kinda lost against the wall. :( But like TJ said, it depends on the pic and the wall.

I think I'm gonna do it... I tried taking a picture, but the color of the wall keeps getting washed out and looks much lighter than it really is.

The wall is a really rich green color, and we have dark brown and royal blue accents in it. So I got some peacock eye and sword feathers and am going to decoupage them onto painted canvases (no frames). I had been planning on brown, but it just doesn't look right. It doesn't pop. If I hold them up to the wall, the color really makes them pop, so now I kind of want to use that color on the canvas.

Leaving a soul sucking job is one of the best things you can do for your mental well being. You're awesome Meesh.
Maple is wise. This is the big reason I no longer work at the call center.

Hubby just told me that because I sold one, potentially two, fancy bottles online, that I could use the money for my "diaper fund". ! I had to contain my excitement. Looks like a OS Simplex will be making its way into my life!

ETA: I showed DH a pic of all the available prints and let him choose the one he likes. I was hoping he'd choose paisley or petals, but he picked giraffe. Not my fave, but if it reels him in a little more then who am I to argue? ;)

Donate to a women's shelter, or one of those orgs that provide clothing for women who are interviewing for jobs.

  • I did something seriously bad to the right side of my back from sleeping in M's extremely comfortable bed. Holy crap. I get shooting pains from just sitting up and being still. I can't turn from side to side and I can barely lift M up

I took ibuprofen and am using a heating pad...but it has made zero difference

  • It's so weird being on here in the eastern time zone. I keep expecting the board to be busy later in the day when I would normally check in. But it's not.
  • I didn't want to start a new thread...it gets asked all the time. Are the lArty in my Pants pads really $10 each?! I want to order some because I have zero time with my sewing machine. But that price is soooo steep

Any cheaper options that work as well?

I've only received bad checks from one person. And now it's happened twice. From the same person. The checks were a year apart, so I didn't catch it before taking the check the second time. A couple days later I found out that she's been doing this for a while and has been taken to court about it. The bad checks to me plus fees total almost $100. I tracked her down on facebook and I totally recognize her as a regular at the farmers market. WTF is wrong with people?

People suck. My first year as PTO treasurer some guy wrote a bad check for his kids fundraiser items. We had already sent the fundraiser stuff home by the time we found out about the bounced check. I sent a nice letter home saying that he needed to pay the $ plus bounced check fee or we wouldn't be able to send his kids' spirit t-shirts home the next week when they arrived. He called me yelling and cursing saying I was depriving his kids...umm no you are buddy. Grandpa called later that day apologizing and paid for everything.

Kawaii sells them but not individually.  I haven't tried them.  They're microfiber.

I like the Kawaii well enough. I got them for PP and backup for my cup later. So nothing terribly heavy. I like them better than the Knickerknappies and FuzziBunz i've tried. I haven't tried the PIMP tho.

  • @Mandmeesh‌ yes PIMP are a little more expensive than some other brands, but not a lot more in my opinion. All I have is PIMP and love them! They are very very thin, but very very absorbant. I also like that they are printed material on top, so it kind of like camoflague. After your first order you get a discount code, so if you want to try them order one or two. Try them,if you like them wait untill they send you the discount code to order more.

  • Ooh. Thanks for the heads up, @countrycotton‌ is that only from the PIMP website?

  • Yes, as far as I know. I've only ever ordered from the website directly. They have a try it free liner as well, just pay shipping. I ordered the free one as well as a few others my first order, so I could try different sizes and save some on the shipping.
    image
  • @Mandmeesh‌ I just got an email from PIMP 10%off with code "monstermash". and free shipping on orders of $25.

  • I just had to change L bc there was poop on his pjs and swaddle. The crazy thing is there was barely a squirt of it in his diapers. How does that even happen?! Sooo ready to go back to cloth.
