1. C went to bed pretty well last night, but then was up for 3 hrs, 1-4am.
2. I was doing some cleaning last night and found a diaper cover in a backpack we used as a diaper bag a few MONTHS ago. Obviously this does not mean I have too many, as there is no such thing, but I really didn't realize I was missing one.
3. My IL watched C for the afternoon the other day. They have only done it a couple times and every time they do something weird with his diaper. Every time they change him they put the dirty in a plastic grocery bag, then in the wet bag. Every time I tell them that's not necessary, and they have seen me change him 1000 times and put it right in the bag.
This time, I open the plastic bag to find: A poopy diaper, poop, poopy disposable wipes, and 3 paper towels.
I didn't really expect them to dunk/swish the diaper, so the poop is fine, I would have taken care of that but the paper towels threw me. When I asked FIL he said they needed to dry him off. ???
@mrshudson618 sorry to hear about your rough night :-( and about your IL diaper situation. It baffles me how difficult some people make changing a diaper.
My MIL watches the girls everyday and there is always something weird going on with their diapers. Always disposable wipes in the wet bag and she usually only snaps half the snaps on the covers. I really didn't think there was such a learning curve!

Sorry about the sucky sleep. That's the worst. Maybe they dunked and swished his bum?
All those disposable wipes and paper towels kinda negates the whole saving the planet with cloth diapers thing. Haha. I just use the next diaper to pat her bum dry if the wipes leave her a little damp. Is that wrong?

I do this as well, or grab a dry cloth wipe.
I usually use the clean diaper if its a prefold, or a dry wipe if its a pocket. (I don't normally even keep sposie wipes in the diaper bag, but these were left over from vacation, and I''m not sure what they would have done if they weren't in there. Maybe used the paper towels?)
Im going to try to get an appt with the LC who runs the baby boutique/cd store on the south end of town. I *think* she has a toddler-proof consult room. She's also good at finding lip and tongue ties, which I hadn't even thought about.
Oh my gosh, N just handed me a dried out slug. Pardon me while I go sick up in the bathroom.
Related. Is there a difference between 24 month size and 2T?
_______
In shirts, not that I've really noticed. In pants, I think the 24 months allow a little extra room in the seat for diapers, but other than that, I'm not sure.

This. The pants for a 2T are a little slimmer fit because they assume some kids will potty train.
But I have so many brands that have different lengths and sizes I really couldn't tell the difference.
Size 24 months is for the average 18-24 month olds. 2T is meant to fit an average two year old until they turn 3, when they would go to 3T. I say average because obviously it doesn't work that way IRL.
2T is usually cut slimmer and longer since most babies get taller and thinner in their third year.

Sure it does. Unless your kid is broken. Or wears CD. Then who knows what might happen.

I'm so fucking pissed. DH looked into why my blog wasn't working and apparently GoDaddy discontinued their blogging service and purged all data. I never heard about it because the email they had on file for me was wrong and one that I've never had (so I had no idea how it ended up in their system). So everything that I wrote on there is gone. I still have all my recipes, but all the writing is gone. What assholes.
Oh no Maple! Could it still exist in google cache or something? (I don't know anything about computer stuffs, but someone found something else in that manner, so I'm throwing it out there.)

Maple do they have customer service or anything? I feel like nothing is truly erased from the internets...
DH found me the front page, which is definitely a start. GoDaddy's CSR just read me their standard form about how they sent out emails 6 months ahead of taking down the service, even after I pointed out that they had the wrong email for me (and that email address should have bounced back to them, since I own the domain and know that that is not a valid email address for anyone).
If you remember the full site address for your blog posts there is a site that might have it.

As an update to my previous post, my box idea was awesome, btw. A earned them all back today by helping me clean the kitchen and then unpacking the box and putting everything away where it belonged. Then thanked me for getting her toys back, and I thanked her for helping keep our house clean.
Even though he apologized and I'm not mad at him, I'm going to make it a point to rub this in J's face later.

Ugh. What is wrong with me. My cousin posted a few days ago that she's pregnant again. Her BF is a dick and she is far enough along to be showing and feeling the baby, but hasn't done anything about the pregnancy until now. I should just be happy for her and move on, but for some reason this is upsetting me. No idea why. Just is. I'm thinking of just hiding her on FB so that I just won't be bothered.
Thanks I will. She thinks she's far enough along to be able to tell the sex at her U/S. I didn't have the heart to tell her that based off of her dates she's probably only 10-14 weeks along. It's just a hot mess waiting to happen and I just can't deal. My family seems to be becoming the poster child for hot mess unwed mothers. Myself included.
So 45 minutes and $65 later, the LC says we're dealing with a bad latch, posterior tongue tie (mild), and the beginnings of thrush. Fingers crossed that the cream and the suck exercises help so we don't have to get the tongue clipped. Thanks for all the support, everybody!
I'm glad you got some help and some answers Jane. Hopefully the exercises help. Did you get stuff to treat both you and L for thrush? If you do need to get the tie clipped, it's not that big of a deal. I mean, I know it sounds really scary, but I've had several friends whose LO's had it done, and they all did really great with it. But FX it's not an issue. GL with the exercises, and keep us posted. You're doing a great job!

She just had me get some cream for me bc I "look like I might be yeasty." Ew. But L doesn't have any signs of it yet that she noticed. Do I need to treat him?
I guess the tongue clip isn't scary so much as inconvenient. The dentist that does it is 2 hours away, and if our insurance doesn't cover it, it's expensive. The LC thinks we should be ok without it if we can get his latch corrected with the exercises, but we'll definitely pursue it if not.
