  • @JEPES1348‌ How long did it take for the cream to help? And how long did you use it?

  • Awww thanks guys. I am trying to lay my judgey hat to the side. She's a good girl, just a little naive and blonde. It's not that I think she'll be a terrible parent. Just that I think the situation isn't going to be as good as she thinks. I don't see her BF really stepping up to the plate once the baby is here. Which would just suck for her. However, been there, done that.

  • Also, seriously guys. Anyone have anything to say on the G-lite? lol I find it weird that I even have a baby question.

Also, should I think about getting my cousin a car seat? or something a little cheaper like a ring sling?

If you think she'll have trouble getting a good safe car seat, and you can afford it - I'd say do it.
I just think she'd get a cheap crappy one. Maybe I'll ask Mom to go in on it with me. I would probably get her a Graco 4Ever. That way she'll only need 1 car seat ever.

  • My night sucked too. Took an hour to get DS1 to sleep, then he was up 2 more times, plus the NB wake ups, and early morning wake up. And barely getting any help all day the past 2 days.... I'm exhausted.
  • @chickypoo2468 I might be interested in your camo. What are you looking for?
  • @JEPES1348‌ How long did it take for the cream to help? And how long did you use it?
I really feel like things started to feel better after 24 hours. I was directed to put it on after each nursing/pumping session, and not wipe off before the next nursing/pumping. After 2-3 days, things looked infinitely better.

I used it until it got better. Then about every 1-2 months I'd get cracked nipples again, so I'd use it for a few days to a week again. It was directed to be used as needed, so I'd use it until everything improved, and then used again as needed if things started to get painful again. The "yeastiness" never came back though. Only cracked, sore nipples, and the cream really helped.

  • I think I'm broken. The longest stretch of seep I got last night was 2h at most. And I didn't sleep much after 1 between the 2 boys. And I still can't nap...

    Yes! Street cred! Finally!

Oh good...I hope it deducts points ;)
  • @nanaosaki06‌ we have a G-luxe. I think it's like the G-lite only it reclines. We're very happy with it. It's light and sturdy and it turns/pivots so much more smoothly than the umbrella stroller we rented last month.
  • Apparently I set the temp on my meat thermometer, but didn't turn in the alarm. Dry pork for supper:( the dry run cooked into a nice glaze so hopefully it won't be too bad.

  • I'm attempting bedtime two hours earlier to make up for a 5am wake up (usually 7:30 or 8) and a lousy 1 hour nap

    Think it'll work?

Half the time it doesn't even work trying to push it 30min early....

Maybe not the full two hours but backing up an hour generally works here if we had a crap nap.
Yes to this.  30 minutes earlier usually works like a charm.  Sometime an hour with a lengthier bedtime routine.

Thanks! I keep looking at different ones. There are far too many umbrella strollers out there. I really like the G-lite since it's super light weight. However, I am also looking at some of the other ones.

  • Am I the only one with a broken baby that won't go to bed early? Even a 30min earlier bedtime results in an hour long bedtime routine.... which then effectively puts his bedtime later. Go figure.

We finally met our neighbors (7 houses down) who have a daughter about R's age and very pregnant with girl #2. They've been here almost 2 years. I can't believe it took us this long to introduce ourselves!

They seem really nice, and our girls are basically the same ages so that's a bonus. :-) ... Now if I can just remember her name! (I remember her husband and daughter's names)

  • My kid will only eat bananas and pancakes.

I'm trying not to get frustrated, but it doesn't help when he flings everything across the room and into the kitchen (we eat in the dinning room).

  • @seranu1 - keep trying! Kids' palates change so much. One week they love something, the next they don't, and then 3 weeks later, they like it again. R did this with eggs.

Just keep offering! You may be pleasantly surprised when you least expect it :-)

  • Also, @sarenu1 I find that little tricks help.  Such as offering a dipping sauce, or cutting the food into different shapes.  Who knows what a little one likes or won't like from day to day.

Is this just today or most always?

Bananas are our staple food. And applesauce.
This is C I'm talking about.  E is actually a really good eater.

I think C is forever going to be eating his meals out of a bottle.
