Okay. I'm getting five new diapers. Tell me if these are a super good choice: Grovia shell in retired planes print Tots Bots in blue moo Grovia AIO in Citrus. ? Undecided on color Softbums Echo in Fluffy Saurus
I have no idea about those diapers, but I am sitting here thinking, "how long will it take before I can snag one of the new Blueberry prints at a discounted price?" Please, oh, please let it be soon! I'm sure they will be sold out (full price) for a while, so I must put on my patience hat.
Yo.it's 3:45am and ... ooh, baby's done nursing. Gotta go!
Here too. I keep trying to decide whether it's worth trying to go back to sleep for an hour or if I should just get up and shower now. Decisions decisions.
I always choose "go back to sleep". Even if it's 30 min before my alarm goes off.
Also, that post was supposed to say 3:45, not 5... These things happen when you try to type half awake in the middle of the night.
What about the new bb tie dye meesh? Both girls started partying like rock stars at 4 am. Wtf?
Is the tie-dye available yet?
Also, MK...how about Rawr or trumpet flats!!!!!? I love them. ETA I think I'll order from a few different places. So far abbyslane, nickis and...one other one
M woke up from her gas again last night. I feel bad for all involved when that happens. Nursing helps move things along and she usually goes back to sleep within 30 minutes of waking up, so it's not that bad. But I THINK we've tracked down the problem. I think it's me eating tomatoes. Because the pattern fits and apparently that's a common problem. But since we figured that out she hasn't pooped (2 days), so we can't test the theory yet.
How much time usually passes bn when you eat tomatoes and when she gets the gas pains? L has been waking up squealing in pain from gas the past several nights around 3:00. It takes him hours to get it worked out, so I only sleep two 2-hour sessions now. I need to figure this out.
@unaveragejane It's about 2 hours for me between the time I feed P after eating something bad, till she reacts. But even when I eat by the book, she is very gassy overnight and in the morning. She squirms a lot till she gets it all out. Then sleeps like a rock for 4 more hours.

I found a really pretty bath mat at Walmart…but I have no idea what color curtain will match. it's super multi-colored. let me see if I can find a link and maybe you guys can help me…
Kawaii just came out with more mom-label bamboo diapers and I really want the two dog prints... but I'm supposed to be getting sbish... an extra $25 is cool, right? ... Also,I really want BG sassy and Amarillo. So an extra $35 is also cool, right?
I just got back from a trip to the RMV. I think I just have broken a record. I was in and out in 23 minutes (getting a new drivers license with my new name).
After that, we went over to the lawyers office to pick up some paperwork that was supposed to be waiting at the front desk. We got there at 9 and no one was in the office (locked). So we went for a walk and came back at 9:30. Still no one.
Wouldn't you think a lawyer's office would be open on a Friday morning?
I also ended up changing a massive poo diaper in the parking lot while waiting, which was crazy gross, and I had to spray it when we just got home. Set on PB poo does not spray very well!
And now I put H down for a nap, and I want to nap, myself. I have a million things to do around the house, but I'm having trouble getting motivated.
@mapleme - Gee. Thanks for making me feel like a crappy wife! In all reality, I guess DH is generally pretty satisfactory, so when he aggravates me it really stands out. Or at least that's my excuse for being grumpy this morning.
Also, Maple and @TJ1979, I really needed you two to say, "Stop eating X and Y, and the baby will start sleeping better." Or even better, "Start eating donuts and ice cream before bed, and everyone will wake up at 7:00 perfectly well-rested." Are you saying this is not how it works?
Oh goodness gracious @unaveragejane I ate a donut a few weeks ago and I thought P might die. Well, not really, but it was so bad that we both forewent clothes for the rest of the day because it was easier to wash our skin that 10 different outfits. She was projectile spitting and pooping all over the place. I hope yours handles donuts much better than mine. This is not helpful.

Edited because I want more diapers
I just placed a big order with Superstash using the excuse that we needed another GNHW. DH will believe that since we recently went an extra day before doing diaper laundry the other day and didn't have an overnight diaper ready to go. I'm not sure what he will think of the 2nd GNHW or the other 6 diapers and covers... But he's all about sales and Superstash has 15% off everything right now. So, yeah.
Darn, they don't have the new mom labels. Sweet Bottoms has them, though. Look how cute!
Omg I just had a totally freak out moment. M is coming up on 17 months old. Should we be trying out the potty on a really consistent schedule?! He tells us when he pooped and is very interested when we are on the toilet-but he usually sits on his seat for a minute, pretends he's pushing (so cute! ) and then wants to get right off

I am losing my mind that he's getting so big
I'd just let him sit on it when he wants and not push it otherwise. The more familiar he is with it, the easier PT/PLing goes, IMO.
I had to pack a lunch for Rosie and drop her off at school for the first time today. My baby is growing up.
Aww. How did she do?!
Good. She couldn't get out of the car fast enough. The teachers help get the kids out of the car and into school to help keep tentrums down at drop off and pick up. Rosie hopped right out the second the teacher opened her door.

@unaveragejane The trick is to drink a glass of wine before bed. It may take a few months or years to work, but that's what we're doing here. I'll just keep having a glass of wine before bed until everyone sleeps well.
They tag teamed me last night, the toddler was going through something that had him waking every 3 hours too. N down at 10, D up at 11:30, N up at 12:30, D up at 1:30, N up at 3:30, D up at 5:30, N up at 6:30, At that point, I brought N into bed (which I don't really like to do while he's still so little) and left daddy to deal with toddler morning routine, which of course, he only got to half of. At least he changed D's diaper before abandoning him in his room to shower rather than feeding him breakfast.
And today, I'm going to take both of them out on my own for the first time so we can get back into our class routines. Today is music class. At least that should wear D out.
@Mandmeesh - how old is he? I've been debating about putting little man in one but he's so all over the place in his sleep. Plus I kinda like having him contained.

Just about 17 months
Good for him! Mine turned 2 in May. He can't get out of his crib yet so that part is nice. Did you just convert his crib or buy a separate toddler bed?
We converted it. Up until today...he had never slept in the crib or bed. Lol
ugh, work just stressed me out. well not work, career stuff. its like, hey go get a phD because I'm going to retire in 5 years and then you can have my job (says my boss). sorry but these next 5 years are not ones where I have time for that shit. I want to focus on my kids. But doubling my salary would also be awesome.
i really want sweatpants right now.
How professional do you have to dress at work? I have these jersey skirts with a rollover waist and they feel like sweatpants but I look like I actually got dressed. They're the best.
@violajack I keep trying to drink a glass if wine with dinner, but I only get about 3 sips before I don't want anymore. I must not be drinking the right stuff. Or maybe I should drink instead of eating dinner.
I hope you (and I) get more sleep tonight.
ETA Now L is apparently too good for regular naps. He has decided to spend this afternoon taking 30 second cat naps. WTheck, kid?!

Keep trying, or maybe try rum? Or a cocktail? It'll work, but you have to keep at it. Like I said, it can take months to really be effective, so just keep trying.
(Or not. In all seriousness, I don't want to push alcohol on you if you're not really into it.)
I'm about to have my third cup of coffee to survive the fact that we will likely not nap today. Music class was great, but the timing is awkward in that D usually gets really sleepy in the car, but as soon as we get home, he's awake again and won't nap.
