No sleep yet for me tonight. Awful contractions but they are inconsistent. Terrible lower back pain as well. Lots of gurgling sounds have me thinking my intestines are causing the contractions. But after 24 hours of this I'm wearing thin. Ugly cried multiple times yesterday. So over all the pain. Took two colace before bed instead of one so hopefully in a few hours this will go away.
Oh the heartburn! I'm in pain. And I found out today that the baby is sunny side up. I know that ssu babies can still be delivered vaginally, but all the people I know who have had them ended up with major medical interventions (vacuum, forceps, extreme episiotomy). At what point should I start looking into a c/s? This is just another concern pulled on top of several others I already have about another vaginal delivery.
My first was sunny side up. OMG the back labor. He ended up as a c section because his head kept hitting my cervix in a way that made a lip form.
Normally can go back to sleep after getting up @4am for a pee but no this morning. not sure what to do with myself. contemplating a Harry Potter marathon since it's Harry's birthday today.
How come I can feel asleep on the couch in five seconds — but wake up with horrific hip pain and then can't get off said couch because I have a pinched sciatic nerve — but when I come to bed, I can't sleep to save my soul!
Can I just say how happy I was to come home from the hospital and be done with all the checks at ridiculous hours? It never failed that someone woke us up whenever we actually went to sleep. And then they'd ask if we were getting any rest. Ugh.
This is one of the main reasons why I chose a birth center this time around. You get no rest at all in the hospital. I'll get to go home 4-6 hours after the birth:) hopefully you're getting more rest now that you're home!

My first was sunny side up. It made for some pretty bad back labor, but no major interventions (I had a med-free water birth). Cat & cow pose is great for helping baby turn. Just crawl around on your hands & knees a lot, it helps!! They also had me lay sideways with one leg on this peanut shaped yoga ball, that's when he finally turned.
Hi it's 4 and the nurses just brought me Garrett from the nursery. He slept from 8-11:30, ate, then was wide awake. It's going to take a while to get use to broken sleep again, but I'm taking advantage of the nursery while I'm here.
My head is pounding and I threw up my dinner last night before going to bed. I am a little worried now and want to take my BP but don't have my own cuff. Contemplating going to my parents at 4:30 am to steal theirs.
It's 7am but I've been up since 3:30 with James. He's been up and gassy all night! His dad was up with him until then. We switched his formula yesterday and it must not agree with him I'll have to try another brand I guess....

Omg m going to smoother my husband in his sleep!!!! ~X( He feel asleep on the couch at 5:30 this afternoon and was snoring so freaking loud, the kids and I couldn't do or great anything. So after I got them into bed, I went to watch TV in my bedroom, going to call asleep.
And he joined me. Now he's snoring so loud and I STILL can't sleep. I'm back out on the couch, and I can't get comfortable. Maybe I do want DH to go back to working overnights — just so I can sleep in peace!
So, so super nauseated tonight. Please, please let this be pregnancy related and not a stomach bug. I just need to make it until Monday. Will they do a c/s if you're sick? I hope I don't have to find out the answer to that question.
Fx that it's just pregnancy!! But at least you have 2 days left to fight it off.

Ugh... I hope it's not a stomach bug. I have one right now and feel like ass. I'm worried I am dehydrated and considering calling my dr. I called earlier and the just aid to do ice chips, but I don't remember feeling LO move a whole lot and it has me freaked out.
Can't believe this is my first time posting on this thread considering my nightly insomnia, but here I am! I have been sleeping on the couch for awhile now and my hubby thought I should try the bed tonight. He was trying to be nice and probably thought I'd be more comfortable, but after laying in there for 3 hours with zero sleep I had to make him switch me for the couch. I will be so damn happy when my bed is comfortable again, but for now the damn couch it is!
After 6 losses, we are so happy to have our rainbow baby!
I'm up for Garrett's second feeding. We are struggling getting a good latch, and its frustrating, but he's finally on! These PP contractions during nursing are rough! I don't remember them with my first at all.
Thought I had dd changed and ready to nurse? Nope, somehow while changing her I missed the part she peed in her bassinet. Ugh. Everything wet. I'm realizing I need more night lights or dimmer switches for the nursery. Can't see shit and I don't want to turn on the main light
OMG I forgot how hard this sleep deprivation is. DD2 slept all day and now just wants to comfort nurse all night. I can't put her down. It's great she is nursing so well... But I could really use at least an hour of sleep.
Checking in! I had a great last couple nights, sleeping through with only having to wake up to pee, but I am back to the norm tonight. My parents are on their way down (they live about 7 hours away & driving at night is the fastest) so maybe that is why I woke up, I checked on them. Them coming down makes it pretty real...outside baby in 4 days!!! I guess I will try to sleep for a couple hours before they get here.
@flip_flops yes it is mostly gone. Still have a little tingling but we are only on our second day so I think I will be back to normal by the time we leave the hospital. Hopefully that is tomorrow. Thank god! And thanks for asking!

Woohoo!! Yeah, I had the tingling for a few days too but considering it didn't make me want to chop off my hands with a knife I could easily ignore it.

I forgot how hard it is in the beginning.

Also, I'm on shirt #3 tonight. The night sweats can end any time please. At least I can finally sleep in the bed again.
