Maternity leave policy in the US makes me sick. It's disgusting to only give 6-12 weeks off. Why hasn't this been changed????

Haven't seen this thread in awhile. Omg I swear a pepper factory must have opened up nearby. DS was sleeping peacefully and all of a sudden went into this horrible sneezing, snotting, and coughing fit. And now he had spit up everywhere due to coughing. I thought he was almost over this cold!

Midnight here on the east coast and LO has yet to go to sleep.  Seems like this is the norm for us now.. I'm not sure how long this phase is going to last, but it's not cool!  I try to get him to sleep, he sleeps for maybe 5-10 minutes in my arms but can't be put down without waking up, and then resets.. so it's another 90 minutes or so until you can get him back to sleep. 

He gets all happy and pleased with himself that he's staying up late.. seriously child? Good thing he's a cutie!

ETA: and H is now rocking him to sleep (hopefully it'll work soon) - winning!
