Crap, you guys. I ran to switch laundry and when I came back the baby was sucking his stroller wheels- those that have rolled through dog pee, vomit in the garage, 4 months worth of street and sidewalk salt, etc. do I need to call the pediatrician????
N did the same thing while hubby was watching her. She's fine!
Today I am running around and hitting a few of my local consignment shops. We have a couple nice ones and I've gotten some serious steals. Not looking forward to trying to do it with 2 kids, but we need a new table. So, off I shall go!
YOU GUISE!! Ben slept from 9:15 pm to 4:45 am! Holy cannoli- that's his longest stretch EVERRRR! Prob bc he really didn't sleep the night before, didn't nap much yesterday and got an antibiotic injection yesterday... But still! It was glorious!!!!!
Grayson slept like crap. I had to kick SO out of the room because his snoring sounded like a damn freight train. I have a crap ton of laundry to do today. Ugh, at least it's Friday! Happy valentines day ladies!!
@colieann31 I would give my right arm to sleep until 7:15. DD1 used to sleep in late too. Then DD2 came around and made it clear that 6 was now the new "sleeping in". On the rare occasion that my H gets up with the kids, I usually don't even make it until 8. I feel like I've slept my day away. That is really sad.
Oh man this. Lucas gets up at 5am. Every. Day.
I don't know how you all do it! I know my body will adjust but man it's hard.
Coffee! To be honest though I thought this was when all babies woke up until I talked to my friend who has a little girl a little bit younger. Lucas and I have had many talks and bribery sessions since then...
I worked overnights before I had to leave my job. It was hard on my pregnant body with the complications I was having. I could not imagine working overnights now and having to take care of a baby. I would be such a cranky butt all the time! Lol

Question for you ladies - when you deposit a check into your bank, do they give you a "partial payment" until the check completely clears?
'
I've never heard of this before and I think the person who told me this is lying to me, but IDK?
Depends on the amount of the check. If it's over like $200, then yes. They will deposit $200 and hold the rest until the check clears. I ran into this problem when my mom would give me a check for school, I'd have to make sure I deposited it with enough time to clear (usually 5-7 days) before my school payment was due.

I'm just now starting the show Chicago PD. Looks promising!
Im addicted!! It wasnt on this week and im having withdrawals!! I cant wait for next weeks. Theyre teaming up with the cops from law & order svu to solve a case. I love both shows so im psyched! ETA i dont think its on next week either bc of the olympics.
@kelly422
Join a credit union. They 'usually' release funds that same day. All the credit unions I've ever come in contact with, release funds the moment you deposit it. Unless it's s reeeeally large amount you dont normally deposit.
Banks hold checks until they clear.
By law, they must give you access to the first $200. After 5 days, the next $5000 should be available, then the rest after a 7 day hold.
If you want to look up the legislature on this just Google 'Reg CC simplified'.

(Still with in banking though)
Now I know who to ask when I have other banking questions Thanks!
Another question - anyone else have problems reaching the crib with the mattress lowered? I'm not a short person, but I can't put LO in bed while she's still sleeping otherwise it's like a free fall the last 6"! I'm thinking about having DH make me a step stool!

My mom is looking for one for me. I need it to be really wide because we still have motn wake ups all the time. I am a short person and it's a disaster.
Guess who just woke up from a 2 hour nap and ate his entire 6 oz bottle (for the 1st time in over 24 hrs)?!!? This awesome, and slightly crusty, baby!!!
I'll just hide this FFFC here: I did nothing for LO for Valentines Day. Like, he's not even wearing red today. My mom bought us all a card with chocolate covered strawberries which neither him nor I could eat, but I figure that covers him. I ran out at lunch and spent $38.50 on 14 macarons from La Maison du Macaron that my husband will begrudgingly eat as he complains he's on a diet. And they have dairy so I can't eat them. I literally almost googled "valentines day card" and printed one on a piece of paper to fold in 4's on the color printer at work, but finally went to the drugstore. What a Valentines Day grinch here!!
And if we are on the topic of dogs eating poop: my dog has eaten poop in the yard (his, my other dog's, and whatever else is out there), thrown it up (imagine diarrhea vomit, yum), and then tried to eat it. On my cream carpet. On 3 separate occasions. Beat that, bishes.
@violet1183 I didn't do anything for DD either! I didn't realize that was a thing.
@violet1183 I too didn't do anything for LO for vday. I had work today so he was at my mom's. She kept him in pjs all day. I bought my hubby a card and that's about it. I was debating if I should bake cupcakes but realized we don't have eggs.
Motherhood... it's spending Valentines Day doing dirty dishes that are piled high, folding laundry, taking care of a fussy baby, working a full day, all while hubby recovers on the couch from day #2 of a man cold. We aren't mushy people and rarely actually do anything for Valentines Day but a part of me would like something - any kind of acknowledgement. Oh well. Vent over.
