@wasnotwas, we've introduced targets brand of similac sensitive and so far so good. With the help of the red card it's really not too bad. My thought was to start with the cheap stuff and go up from there if it didn't workout.
I should be doing DD's laundry while she naps, but I'm in bed watching the Olympics instead. I swear crappy sleep is 2x worse after having a good week. I feel so burned out this week.
@sctiger - I noticed your comment in regards to nursing to sleep. I just wanted to share that my LO also still nurses to sleep, most of the time. She has been sort of transitioning herself out of the habit only recently. So I have just been following her cues. If she's asleep after her evening nursing session I lay her down sleeping. If she's still awake, I say "goodnight. I love you baby girl" and lay her down awake. The first couple times it didn't go over well, but now she usually just crawls around the crib a bit before finding a comfy spot and settling down to sleep. It gives me hope that I don't really need to "sleep train" per se, and that she will do it when she's ready.
@samanthaashley93 big sigh of relief! So glad everything turned out to be good. Dont beat yourself up though, any woman would react the same way if she happened upon that as well.
@pitchslap not sure if its true with all garage doors but shouldnt there be a cord that hangs down that if you pull it it will release the door from the motor, therefore you would then be able to lift the door manually?
Canadian ladies - anyone else have the "We All Play For Canada" song from the Canadian Tire commercials stuck in their head? I've been singing it to M pretty much non stop since the start of the Olympics because it is constantly on the tip of my tongue!!
I'm sitting at the Toyota service garage for the next 2 hrs. Babyless and with a white chocolate mocha and my book!! It is amazing
I'm sitting at Discount Tire, 50 minutes and no end in sight as my vehicle hasn't pulled into the garage yet, no white chocolate mocha, screaming kids everywhere and have to pee. At least I have you guys...
Conversations I've had with DH in the past 48 hours: DH: I can't tell if LO pooped or not. Me: So pull back the side and look. DH: You can do that? I thought it would break the seal or something. Me: /facepalm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DH: (while giving LO a bath, which he does about 1/3 of the time) Hey, love, do you think we should start washing lo's face when we give him a bath? Me: Does that mean you don't usually wash his face?!? /facepalm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Me: (after making pancakes for breakfast) Oops, some syrup dripped on the counter. DH: (clearly upset) Oh man, I just washed the counters yesterday! Me: Washing the counters is really an everyday kind of thing, dear. DH: Really?! /facepalm
take 5...

@samanthaashley93 I am glad everything worked out. Come to think of it, I have gotten emails like the one @araziza posted. They are usually to some scummy site I have never been to before.
@vasc He was a bit more attentive with no TV. He actually cleaned up the house a little, which he has been getting better about doing the past few weeks.
So I know this is a "no no" but for any moms struggling to get your baby down for naps alone, try a sippy cup! We intro'ed the sippy less than a week ago and she LOVES it. I think part of the reason is it closely resembles a nipple shield (which we still use)... I got the NUK brand, with the silicone spout. I nurse her down then after she is almost asleep I swap my boob for the sippy and she has taken all 3 naps alone like this today! The sippy is empty or has just a little bit of water btw, so no concern for tooth decay. Plus she doesn't have teeth yet. lol She has never taken to a pacifier or bottle really well so I'll take what I can get!!
For the next fitness challenge we should do baby-related exercises. Baby press-ups, squats holding baby etc.
I am up for that one. I do mom/baby yoga 2x/week now. Tons of squats and lifts and things with baby. It is amazing how much strength I gained in just a few weeks!
Aww, that sounds fun. Sometimes I wish I didn't live in such a small place so we had things like this. I guess there's a Mommy and Me group but they meet on Monday and Wednesdays in the morning when I'm at work
@34blondie You should look out for Groupon deals! I got a great deal on prenatal yoga through Groupon when I was living in Salt Lake. I never would have paid full price for those classes, but they were wonderful!
I DID find my rings! After 5 days of no tracking updates, they showed up in the city they were supposed to, thank goodness! I won't rest easy until they are back on my finger, but at least they got there.
Warning tons of frustration about to happen in this post....
Fuck the snow!!!!!!!!!! Screw the terrible traffic because of it. Screw anything related to the snow. My husband is stuck at work for the night because of it. This week just sucks big time and I'm over it. Fucking over it!!!!!!! I'm so going to enjoy a strong adult beverage tonight because I want to scream right now.
Getting my drink on... Big ole Tervis cup filled with vanilla vodka and coke!!! Didn't even wait for LO to go down for the night because it's already been that kind of week.
Spent 7 straight hours with my boss and clients today. No break for lunch, no class of water. I pumped in the bano and spilled half on my pants and shoes. FML
We were 0.3 degrees away from a fever that required a doctor's visit today. Given that everything is closed today due to some crazy weather it would have meant a treacherous drive to the ER. Thank goodness we appear to have dodged that bullet *touches wood*.
To make me feel worse about it - it's probably because I gave LO whatever flu thing I was incapacitated by at the weekend (and I got the flu shot! Stupid different strains of flu ...).
Sigh. Sick Velcro baby who is only happy with mommy + not being able to get out of the house even for short walks + no work getting done due to said velcro ness + terrible sleep due to my own/LO's illness + being really sick of being sick = :-(

Ben is too crazy 75% of the time, and unfortunately tv doesn't work. He's a hard headed busy body.

Well done! Wait until your DD sees it! I had them both playing with it long enough for me to wash bottles AND cook dinner. heaven.

But tupperware lids and an empty plastic bottle of nipple cream?
That has occupied her all day. Maybe she'll be into it when she can crawl or pull up.
um glass.... Long ass day
