I don't know where my sleep unicorn went but Carter has been screaming on and off for the past hour. Now we are in the car driving around because DH and I almost lost our shit trying to get Carter to stop purple face crying for longer than .5 seconds.
Driving around also means listening to Tayler swift since Carter screams at anything else. I need a margirita. %-(
Feed the baby solids they said. She'll sleep better they said. Been having this battle with my parents for almost 2 months. Well I have 6 hours of purple face crying that proves I am right. Ha! I am never sleeping again.
Just got back from a weekend at my moms. DD hasn't pooped in 3 days but she is farting all the time. It is so funny. She doesn't seem upset so hopefully she will poop soon!
When my LO does that, it usually means a massive poop is on it's way soon. Brace yourself.
Well, DH and I decided to start a new budgeting system. We are using Dave Ramsey's financial peace plan. We wrote out our budget for the month and its been an eye opener so far. I knew that the way we were doing it before wasn't completely great but I'm kind of surprised how we were making it work. I know if we stick to it our finances will improve but the first few months will be tough.
Here's to being responsible adults!
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
My husband and I took Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University class or whatever, and it was really great, practical info! I wish we had applied it more, but I still remember the basics. @thomas930 Good luck with the first few months!
February Siggy Challenge: Favorite TV couple ~ Jim & Pam
DH and I just started a budget overhaul. We're really trying to reign things in and cut costs where we can. Already managed to cut one of our bills by $100/month, so I'm hoping we can find more ways to scrimp and save!

...and I need a Ned Stark "Poop is coming" gif right here. Who can make gifs?

Thank you We just started the class at our church. Its nice to have the accountability and to do this with others.

We read and followed Dave Ramsey's total money makeover and did so well for so long. Me thinks we need to retread and budget again. I have one more student loan to pay off and then we will be debt free (besides the house)!
I grabbed DH's salami sandwich this morning instead of my chipotle chicken sandwich. I think his sandwich has been sitting in the fridge for a week, and all it has is salami and bread. My sandwich had swiss cheese and chipotle chicken, lettuce and tomato with mayo. (
After driving around last night for 30 minutes DS gave up and fell asleep and is still asleep right now. Thank you sleep unicorn.
So. Jealous.
This sleep thing has just started working out the past two weeks. I don't know why it's happening but I'm grateful. Although my post jinxed the sleep and he woke up 2 minutes later
I have an important meeting this morning where I have to fully be in a suit. I tried to put one of my pre-pregnancy suits on and it fit! Well, I looked like a stuffed sausage but I'm rocking it...hoping I don't split pants today! [-O<
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
What is it with men and ratty old underwear? Mine wears underwear and socks until they pretty much disintegrate. I throw them away and he picks them out of the garbage because "HEY! Those are still good!". Maybe I need to take a page from your book, @swerbtastic3351 - if they're totally shredded maybe he'll leave them in the garbage!
I'm noticing most of these preppers are obese to morbidly obese. Also the VW I just sold will run regardless of solar flares, ( no electronics in it and I was able to start it without a battery). Let's face it here in the valley I'm screwed if the apocalypse happens.
There is a cricket in my house somewhere and I can't find it, arrgh! Going to watch Ray Donovan, then bed. Night all!
Do you own a hockey stick? I've found them very effective at defeating crickets. Those suckers are too hard to catch. But a hockey stick can gently herd them outside or a slap shot can kill 'em quickly.
I'm in California, not Minnesota. JK. I can't kill a cricket though, DH told me it's bad luck. So if I did own a hockey stick I'd guide him outside with it.
@deidremaria Where are you from? I could so use an island vacation. We usually go somewhere in the Caribbean every November but this year we are skipping it (you know, had a baby and all. ).
St. Croix, USVI it's amazing here, full of history

I was in a roller hockey league in N. CA growing up. Hockey sticks exist in CA.
So my husband made a snarky comment about someone we know hiring a house cleaner while a SAHM with a toddler and pregnant and her husband is deployed. I pointed out that he has never cleaned a house in his life and can't even manage to get his socks in the hamper, so he shut up, which is good, because if he's expecting a sparkling house when I'm in the same place in a few years, he's got another thing coming.

Yeah I know.
