  • It's awful. She's posted about him being over weight before from over feeding and then the posts at McDonald's and about chocolate milk kinda just blow my mind.

So, I don't do horror movies. At all.

I've seen this commercial for "Annabelle" like 8 times just tonight though and I have to ask. Why doesn't she just get rid of the fucking doll?!

    That one looks laughable
It CREEPS ME OUT when the doll locks her out of the room, and she's looking under the door at her infant sitting playing on the floor, and then the fucking doll slams it's creep ass self down and blocks her view of her baby.

    Paranormal... That movie... *shivers*.

    Annabelle?  Hah.

Now that damn movie preview with the clapping?  Shit mah pants.

The Annabelle doll is from the Conjuring (movie with the clapping). Which was such a well done horror flick! I did about shit my pants when I watched it. And cried it was so scary/disturbing. So I'm reserving judgement that this one might be good since it's from the same folks and they kind of set it up to tell that story in The Conjuring.

Side note, when the movie ended, we saw a kid loooosing it a few seats down from us who absolutely shouldn't have been there. Good luck soothing your traumatized son after that one, mother of the year. You just took your ten year old to watch a movie about possessed moms killing their kids. I wanted to punch her, but figured her instant karma was kicking in already on that one.

Why, yes, my son. 3:40 AM is a perfectly reasonable time to wake for the day.

    Of course.

  • Sweet little Tater Tot (my 2 year old) you need sleep. Stop waking up at midnight and wanting to play.

  • Does anyone have experience with the Tula carriers? They seems to be the most popular option in my area. I can't decide between the Ergo, Tula, or Becco.

I don't have personal experience with a Tula, but my friend prefers it over her Ergo. I'm thinking about selling my Ergo for one. I've heard they aren't as bulky as the Ergo. I am 5'2 and feel swallowed by the Ergo.

  • Ugh. At a work training and the catering person was kind enough to find me somewhere to pump. I get started and 5 minutes later a employee walks in. This is going to be a long day.

We have the Ergo 360 because ds llikes to face out. We tried on a tula, but LO didn't like how secure it was. It was super comfortable for me though.

The Tulas have a lot of print options, which I like. They look comfortable. I don't know if you can back carry, though. LO likes to face forward so maybe a Becco or Ergo 360 would be better

    ETA: posted too soon
  • I got a Gracie and Sam carrier after my ergo broke. I wish the Mei Tei strapes weren't so long. The ergo was good until the day it broke. They should say it will handle a 40lb child if it breaks with only a 25lb kid in it. I think after I go back to work I'll get myself a Tula for Xmas.
  • I'm sorry you're dealing with that @mamrotu73‌. This is why DH and I have opted to move ourselves the last couple of times.

  • This made me think of you ladies (though for the record it takes me more than 6 beers to get drunk)

Is he Canadian?? He doesn't sound Canadian. And what is "zee" and "zed"? /:) I've never had beer, but I imagine a lot less than 9 OR 6 would get me drunk.

We are still using the K'tan comfortably even though DS is pushing 18ish pounds. I feel like something a little sturdier is in our future, though. I think I'll give the Ergo a try though since I've been eyeing that one since I was pregnant.

Girl, 3 would probably do the job for you, depending on how fast you drink them!

Haha some Canadians have accents like the South, they're just from the West.

Zed and zee - he's referring to the alphabet!

    :-O Mind blown.

  • Trying to pull myself out of this funk. My friend that I went to be in her wedding last month is pregnant and just starting to be super tired and miserable, I'm thinking of sending her a box full of goodies; all the pregnancy books we will never crack open again, wipe warmer which was lovely when Sullivan was new but he definitely no longer cares, and portraits of her and her husband as "mommy" and "daddy" for the nursery... I also wanna send some pregnant belly friendly snacks. What did you survive on in the first trimester?

@edoliesmom‌ do you have any interest in trying beer? What is this aversion to alcohol?

Nope, no interest in trying beer. It smells nasty, and I wanna say somewhere at some point in time I've tried it and didn't like it. I don't have an aversion to alcohol, just not a big drinker. :) I'll have a drink maybe a few times a year! I love me some frozen strawberry margaritas from Chili's, and I'd drink a wine cooler if they were around. I like to drink more for the taste than the buzz.

  • Chili sounds perfect for today. Sadly I don't have the ingredients so egg rolls it is.

@swerbtastic3351, which of the three is more versatile size wise? DH loves wearing baby too. He's just a smidge bigger than me.

What does A14RTT recommend for beach going for kiddo? I have no idea what to take for her besides a hat and blanket and rent an umbrella. Also can I take her in a pool yet? It'd be public at the hotel so I'm sure full of chemicals? I dunno... What say A14?
We bought a sportsbrella and it's awesome.  Take lots of blankets and towels so you have fresh ones when they get sandy.  Wipes for sandy hands before they rub eyes.  I'd get a rashguard with UV protection as well as the hat and sunglasses if LO will stand them.  Have fun!  M loooooves the beach!

Baby sunblock and uv50 swim shirt. I took DS swimming at 2 months in our pool, I just gave him a bath afterwards to get the cholrine off and didn't keep in the pool for very long. He loved it and feel asleep while he was in the water!
