@BiggerInRealLife, we call Carlene "Bean" too!  That is another thing.  DH loves to give the kids nicknames, but he hates when other people do.  He is weird, but I love him.

Jellyfish as I said on insta I will have Roxie meet your puppy with lots of treats and snuggles at the rainbow bridge. It's never easy and you will have that "what if" for a while, but know you did what was best for your pup, there is no more pain. ((((Hugs))))

I keep eating the potty training M&Ms.  At this rate, I've probably rewarded myself for every single urination success I've ever had in my lifetime.  

So much for that post partum diet.

With DD1 we just phased it out when she gotto the point where she could take it or leave it. If it's not something you need sanity-wise and you have a different baby-distracting apparatus in the wings that he tolerates well, there's no need to have both.

@jellysparkles I'm so, so sorry. I once had a dog hit in front of me and the person kept driving. I pulled over and held thr little guy while I called his owner. This comes after hitting two deer on the highway and the guilt I felt after seeing they were both pregnant . Ugh I'm so sorry.

I have a "Pumping in Progress sign hanging on the door of the office I pump in.  It is probably unnecessary as I accidentally turned my pump on and couldn't hear it outside my cubicle.

In re: NN  I love nicknames and am probably also in the minority because I purposely name both pets and kids based on how much I like the nicknames to go with the full names.  And I use the nn way more than the full names.

Soooo tired :-( DD started rolling belly to back so we're weaning off the swaddle. Arms out last night and she was up 2 extra times. Down at 6:30, up within 10 min, down for good at 7, up at 10, up at 1, up at 5, had to wake her up at 7 to go to work.
I shouldn't complain because I know others have it a lot worse but I miss having only 1 MOTN wake-up :-(

My aunt got me a late birthday present of yarn. She got my three different skeins of Sirdar in 3 different colors and 3 different weights. She is not a knitter and I appreciate the thought. I'm trying to think of what to do with these. Anyone have any 1skein patterns that are a favorite? If all else fails in guess I'll make 3 hats?

I think we might be heading out of the 4-month insanity. I nursed Alera and she fell asleep, so I laid her down expecting she'd wake up in about 15min like she usually does, and she slept for almost 3 hours! \:D/ So damn happy to get a break! Intriguingly, if I change Wonder Weeks to her actual birth date and not her due date, the end of her leap would be today, right on the money. I might be a convert yet!

Now, fingers crossed this keeps going... [-O<

I hit a cat once while driving the ambulance to a job. Not able to stop. Pains me to say that a human life is more important than a cat but I still have nightmares about that. I actually cried at the time. 

My flatmate killed my cat in what I would call a hit and run, hit the cat as she was leaving, came home after 30 mins, and was like, oh I think I hit your cat on the way out... I was so angry.

OMG thats what I should do! I am lucky, I can pump in my office, but I ALWAYS get people knocking on the door, ringing the bell and had someone come in once! I have a "do not enter" light that I switch on but apparently that's not enough!

To everyone struggling with the swaddle transition, I highly recommend the Zip-a-dee Zip. We transitioned DS2 about a month ago and it was a breeze. The first couple time we used it I had to kind of hold his arms down until he relaxed, but once he got used to it I stopped that. We didn't use this with DS1 and the transition out of the swaddle was a 2 week debacle that I really wanted to avoid this time.

Skipping 689 posts to say hiiii. Vacay has been pretty good so far. Have to admit, I'm with swerb...it's nice to unplug, even from you all (sniff sniff). Had my dad's 60th bday bash on Saturday. I learned that he was TWENTY FIVE POUNDS at 6 months old (see attached photo). He also ate hot dogs and Mac n cheese at that time.

Oh how times have changed. Here I am fretting about giving Merriwether a natural remedy with prune juice in it (she hasn't pooped in 8 days...).

Headed to the motherland (aka Portland!!!!) on Wednesday. Thank. God. I'm loving my time back home with my folks but man. Mom is driving. Me. Crazy.

Hearts to you all. Sorry I'm far too lazy to look at the literally hundreds of posts. Cliff notes version anyone?
