Good luck @ColleenSwerb‌! The couple of hours of waiting before my surgery felt like an eternity but when they were taking me back I was all like "wait! I'm not ready!" Haha

@Pineconey there's nothing better than getting home after a NICU stay. It's such a release to be in total control of your baby and LEFT ALONE! ((HUGS))

My MIL arrives today. Someone send all the cocktails. She's going to be baby crazy and even though she breastfed she says the most awkward things and acts totally clueless (like refusing to hand over a hungry, rooting baby). Hoping it's better than it was with DS1 but not holding my breath. I'm reading Real Simple today which has a whole article on MIL drama as my preparation.

Newborn photo session today, and I woke up 15 minutes before I was supposed to be there. Got there 45 minutes late, so I missed a third of the session. ( So frustrated with myself! She also slept so long before she got here that it took forever for her to go to sleep. #-o

DH is also driving people around tomorrow for Oaks... Kinda jealous he gets to at least see some of the action...

Is it going to hurt my supply if I wear a normal nursing bra (no underwire) to bed? My nipples hurt so bad when my boobs are loose and my nipples run on anything. If they are locked and loaded they feel fine.

I shudder to think what would happen if i didn't sleep in a bra. I haven't had any supply issues by wearing a nursing bra to bed.

Totally different subject - anyone have any tips for keeping baby asleep? Aiden falls asleep in our arms or on us but as soon as we put him down he wakes up. He only sleeps being held!

Ugh had a pedi appointment yesterday for a check up. Willa woke up this morning with her eye crusted shut, so back we go. Conjunctivitis, yuck. I'm scared for the future of my own eyes.

Logan had this last week and it was just a clogged tear duct. Hopefully that's all she has.

My DS1 was like that. From day 1, he preferred to be by himself. He will snuggle with DH, but not a lot. Now that DS2 is here, he cares a little bit more about me holding him. He prefers to play alone and everything. It worries me but so far the drs aren't worried.

I wear a wireless sleep bra intended for nursing. It's from target- looks like a sports bra but has less support.

Quinn has been showing signs of a milk protein allergy. I know the signs, I had it and so did my other two, and I'm pissed at myself for not stopping eating dairy before she was born. She has been totally miserable and just screams when she's awake. (And she is so loud, omg, so loud) I'm so disappointed because I really wanted BF to work. If I'm going to continue, I have to go vegan and pump and dump until it's out of my system and try again. Or switch to FF for good. I don't know if it's hormones or what but this has made me cry about 97 times just today. I feel like an ass for not seeing this coming and putting her through this, and also a failure for giving up a week and a half into it! I try to tell myself that she is probably not going to be rejected from Yale and blame it on the fact that she'd have a much higher IQ had I decided to breast feed. But ugh. Sorry for all of ^that^ but I had to vent! Carry on...

@thomas930 How quickly did it clear up for Logan? Pedi thinks it's probably a clogged duct, but prescribed erythromycin just in case.

@dani+california‌ you are so exactly right! I've got to let this go. She will be fine because of all of the zillion other choices I make. I think I feel better now, and I know I'll feel better when she's not in so much pain.
