So every year my anxiety flairs up in the spring. Don't know why, but I have a huge panic attack every year and awful build up beforehand, I call them my spring crazies. SO has experienced it and can sort of handle it. I warned him when I found out I was due in April (usually crazy onset is march/April) that I was gonna be extra psycho this year. I was super nervous that pregnancy would amplify it or that the anxiety would put my baby at risk.
But, knock on wood, I feel great! I feel ready and prepared for this little one and so happy and no stress and no sign of tension build up! That's not to say I won't have my moments once she's here, but I am really hoping I can go without my yearly meltdown! Here's hoping!
With both pregnancies my anxiety has actually toned itself WAY down. When not pregnant I usually take meds a couple times a week. Pregnancy chills me out somehow.
so lucky... pregnancy has turned me into an anxious monster. first tri was the WORST. Anxiety attacks a lot. Feeling better now. And not like it was about being preg-- it was everything!
I feel like I've smoked pot every day. I'm off in my own world. Normally I'm super high strung and crazy lol.
Hey, anyone with an IKEA crib/mattress. Do regular mattress pads (like the waterproof ones) fit on it? Because, oddly, IKEA only carries the water proof mattress pads for the next size up toddler mattresses. Or maybe its just out IKEA, I don't know.
I have an ilea crib and mattress. All the standard crib sheets fit my mattress.
Awesome!!!
I have their toddler bed for DD and standard sheets do not fit this. It's not a crib sheet or a twin. Idk what it is!
I was going through some digital coupons for my local grocery store and there was one that said "buy 2 packages of Keebler cookies, get $1 off a gallon of milk." My normal self would say "I see through your thinly veiled attempt to get me to pay extra money for cookies I don't need!" However my pregnant self makes that exact purchase every couple of weeks anyway, sooooo...clip!

Yea, its IKEA size. LOL. We have an IKEA bed for us, and you can only buy sheets there :-P Still, its pretty much the only place worth buying sheets here anyway. :-D
I think everyone should hold off on posting any more birth announcements until I have had my baby. It's making me too antsy and ready for baby to be here. TIA!
I have decided, after much laying around and feeling yucky/sorry for myself (and a bubble bath to ease the crampy calves while the sheets are washing), that I am going to be effing good at this staying home from work thing. Meal planning/budgeting, a housework schedule to keep me busy and the hubs sane while he continues to work the job he hates, and a for real plan with deadlines to get art made AND sold. I got this!!
Fingers crossed this motivation lasts for more than 5 minutes..

I want to crochet something, but, I don't want to crochet anything until the house is put back together. And at the rate we're going, me with my sciatica and DH with his generally not doing ANYTHING, there will be no crocheting.
My mom just suggested to my DH that we try and find someone to take our dogs when we move across the country... This is coming from the lady that has a totally spoiled, untrained Golden that she will not allow to drink tap water. What world are you living in lady?! We have the cutest, most awesome dogs in the world and we would NOT move before we would move without them. My DH is super offended.
Also, March = SHAMROCK SHAKES. @#)%*!@#%*_!#_%*!%. So much excitement.

Funny story. During my swimming class, the teacher was always saying this word "grindarbollan." Telling us to work it. Sometimes we would stand there and work this "grindarbollan." I thought it was the diaphragm for some reason. Last night, I TOTALLY realize they were talking about kegels and the pelvic floor.
Ugh I'm know. My mom nor my sister got them, but these boys are marking their territory. It's pretty disgusting how purple my stomach is. Talk about badge of honor.
@Tferr02 that sounds pretty hectic! I dont think I could handle being a military wife...you guys deal with so much unknown! When it comes to major life events, I'm a total anal retentive planner too...big things require a lot of focus. Good luck to you!
I just need to brag about my LB @jbugg88 She always texts me to respond to something I post. Like when I talked about by good news with work and today when I had a crummy morning. She's the best!
Same with my LB @jessiealbin - she's awesome! I feel like we'll continue to be buddies long after the labor part!

Yes! I got mine yesterday and am being a total baby about it all day today. It just hurts, you know?
Thanks everyone for the well wishes!! Got off to a rocky start this morning, but I think the interview went well overall. My morning started with DS crawling into our bed in the wee hours of the morning, then proceeding to be wide awake, crawling all over us and whining when we would try to get him to just lie down. I had a hard time sleeping after 5am...I didnt fall asleep until close to 3am. UGH. Then after getting ready, my maternity dress pants TOTALLY busted wide open in the crotch when I tried to stretch them a bit - first wear after a wash is always the tightest! No fixing that. Had to pull out regular dress pants and find my bella band. Then I had trouble getting my printer to work, so I ended up not being able to print off everything I needed for the interview (which turned out to be OK anyway). THEN they apparently moved buildings since the last time I was there, so I was 5 minutes late cause I went to the wrong place.
But the interview itself went very well; I possess all the skills that they are looking for, so the guy who interviewed me (not the hiring manager, who was too busy apparently and sent this guy to substitute, and assess my technical knowledge) seemed impressed and planned to pass on good word to the hiring manager. So now, we wait! Not sure if I'll have a 2nd interview, or if they'll make a decision based on today's. I'm hoping the latter!
Fingers crossed that I hear some good news next week, and that they'll be willing to work around this baby so I can start right away!
OH - and DH had an informal interview with Beatport (https://www.beatport.com for those of you who don't know what Beatport is) today...right now, in fact. If he gets this, it would mean stable hours, better pay, and benefits! FX for him today too!
Just spent 1 1/2 hours at the potluck I organized at work. Boss said it totally counts as a working lunch. And since I came in early today.... 2 hours til quittin time. Woooooooohoooooo!!!
