I am at the train station waiting for my train home to CT for my shower this weekend. A group of about 30 noisy pre-teens just parked it right next to me and I wanted to TP all of them. Then it hit me that one day I will have a little teeny bopper of my own! **sniff** Now I want to hug them all!
Yea, we live close to a high school and I always would get so annoyed going to the grocery store and them all hanging out there. And then I thought, woah, my son is going to date people and stuff some day. YIKES!
So every year my anxiety flairs up in the spring. Don't know why, but I have a huge panic attack every year and awful build up beforehand, I call them my spring crazies. SO has experienced it and can sort of handle it. I warned him when I found out I was due in April (usually crazy onset is march/April) that I was gonna be extra psycho this year. I was super nervous that pregnancy would amplify it or that the anxiety would put my baby at risk.
But, knock on wood, I feel great! I feel ready and prepared for this little one and so happy and no stress and no sign of tension build up! That's not to say I won't have my moments once she's here, but I am really hoping I can go without my yearly meltdown! Here's hoping!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...

With both pregnancies my anxiety has actually toned itself WAY down. When not pregnant I usually take meds a couple times a week. Pregnancy chills me out somehow.
So my life appears to have gotten crazy yesterday. DH found out he was selected to be an army recruiter. If this goes through, this is my life for the next 6 months or so. LO will be born in 4 weeks or less (RCS is scheduled for 4 weeks from today). 5 weeks after also is born, DH will go away for 6 weeks of training. During the 5 weeks before he goes, we are going to visit his family 11 hours away for a week so they can meet LO. While he is gone for those 6 weeks, I'll go home (12 hours away) so my family can meet LO and help me. After his training, DH and I will both come back home for 4 weeks and then he will leave for another 6 weeks of training. After that 6 weeks of training (we are in Sept now) we can literally be moving anywhere in the country!! I am a planner, this has me so stressed out.
Semi-related, I HATE that guys (my husband) lay around in bed and can't stop touching themselves. It's so annoying and gross.
DH falls asleep with his hands in his pants. My teachers used to call me to their classrooms to laugh at the 3 and 4 year old boys because they would all fall asleep with their hands in their pants.
That sounds horrible, but really it was just funny to see it start at such a young age!

OMG I thought only my DH was this juvenile! He sits on the couch with his hands in his pants. He isn't doing anything, but that's how he'll sit half the time. That and he's always adjusting himself. I told him he has to knock it off once Peanut gets here because I do not need a toddler emulating his daddy's bad habits!
if one more person says to me, " well if you think you're not sleeping well now just wait!" while laughing. I will shank someone. I get it no more sleep for me for a very long time. I haven't even complained. These people are asking me and I answer and then am given some shitty response. Go F yourself people. /rant
At least when you get up in the middle of the night you'll be able to cuddle with LO. It sure beats going pee 4 times and laying in bed staring at the ceiling
Whyyy did I schedule my OB appointment at 8:15am? I didn't get enough time for my poop and now I'm going to weigh 2lbs heavier
Bright side: next appointment you'll be 2lbs lighter
True that. I went to an appt right after eating at IHOP and it was all "omg you gained 7lbs in 2 weeks!" But then the next time I went it was a very nice "Oh look, you lost weight this time!"
Getting my kids settled down for naps. I'm currently rocking my almost 2 year old to sleep and savoring these last weeks before he goes from baby to big kid overnight.
Also going to take a nice nap myself
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
My OB is fine with it during pregnancy, but my dentist suggested that maybe I wait until "as soon as possible right after the baby is born". Apparently he doesn't have any kids if he thinks I'll be able to be away from the baby for more than 1-2 hours in the first couple of months. If he's like DS1, the kid will want to eat all the time.
Hey, anyone with an IKEA crib/mattress. Do regular mattress pads (like the waterproof ones) fit on it? Because, oddly, IKEA only carries the water proof mattress pads for the next size up toddler mattresses. Or maybe its just out IKEA, I don't know.
I love it, because in my mind it's exactly like what takes place in the RTT: a bunch of ladies sitting around a table discussing the topic of the hour, sharing joys and woes, throwing out witty commentary, and every so often one woman standing up and shouting "I just pooped! THANK GOD!"

I have an ilea crib and mattress. All the standard crib sheets fit my mattress.
