It makes me wish there was a gif of the time one of my brothers snuck into the house to take a shower, leaving a trail of blood behind him, because they didn't want to get in trouble for chopping wood (using axes unsupervised) at a young age.

my husband shopped at whole foods last night and also at a local store on his way home from work tonight.... and we STILL don't have anything chocolate or sugary in the house!!

so i made some No Pudge Fudge brownies... and conveniently didn't clean the bowl out well when i scraped it into the baking dish.  hey...  it's the only brownie batter that i can eat guilt-free!!  (the mix is made only with yogurt, so i don't have any raw eggs to worry about).

YUM!  they just came out of the oven and i'm irrationally excited... enough so that i'm just going to let me mouth get burned as i eat them as quickly as possible.

DH starts his new job next week but will also be working his internship for one last week. He left at 7:30 this morning and texted me just after 5 (had a meeting with the new place at 4) saying he could get some extra hours in if he stays late tonight (not sure which job). I told him to go for it, and as it think about how I'm going to start working less in the coming weeks I'm realizing how terrified I am to "let" him take over as the breadwinner.
My life is on the verge of changing in so many ways...

@jellysparkles DH just ran to the store to get some perogies for dinner. I'm sooo excited. Also, i'm going to bbq them and then slather them in sour cream. Because that's how I do it.

Apparently one didn't keep a good grip, the axe bounced off the wood and against the back of my other brother's head. Didn't pierce the skull, but he got lots of staples.

This. This is why I'm scared LO is a boy.

YOO GUISE!!!! Whole Foods has vegan chocolate chip cookie dough in the refrigerated section! That is a WHOLE TUB of dough with no raw eggs!!! Best money I've ever spent.

Poor dear BIRL. You should make vegan brownies, just for the batter. Mine never cook right, but the batter is freakin' delicious. No salmonella!!

On a side note, why on the side of the eggbeaters carton is there a recipe for a smoothie that calls for 1/4c. eggbeaters? Does it not count as raw egg?  Gross either way.

Does anybody else think it's impossible for their belly to stretch any further at this point? I feel pretty maxed out, but with 6 weeks to go, it's obviously going to keep on going.

I'm scared to fall asleep now because I was just woken up by an annoying smoke detector...AGAIN! It did this all night last night and I thought I fixed it because it didn't go off all day but it goes off the second I fall asleep. WTH. I just want to sleeeeeeeeppp!

Me!  I don't know how my skin can stretch any more and where baby is going to fit.

My OB said the stuff sold on the shelves is made with pasteurized eggs and is OK to eat when pregnant. Hopefully she's right, otherwise my baby is totes going to be all the colors!!!

So had a pretty scary experience tonight. We went out like we do most friday nights nothing too exciting, started feeling a little off and decided to just head home. I usually drive and even though wasn't feeling great I still drove home. Well, I guess my BP bottomed out and I almost passed out while driving down the interstate. Luckily I was able to pull over before anything happened. 

Put a call into my midwife and talked to her about what happened.  My BP usually runs low so she thinks that it dropped causing the near passing out. Baby boy is still moving around and by then I was feeling better, so she just wants me to take it easy this weekend and I'm not allowed to drive until at least monday (as long as it doesn't happen again). But if it happens again I'll have to go in for monitoring.

That's scary @thomas930!  I've had a fear of this happening to me.  I'm glad you were able to pull over and are safe.  Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

That N14 thread is just...just...there really are no words.  I still can't believe people got so worked up from a funny gif-filled advice/welcome thread.  Oh and I only read about 5 pages before my eyes glazed over.
