All these moms on my newsfeed keep posting about how their babies sttn. Mind you, they are much younger than my baby. I want to block them in a jealous rage.
Thanks @poru ! It hasn't been bad (knock on wood) he was very drowsy and slept most of it. He finally ate at 4 napped again and is full of snuggles. He hasn't laid with me this much in so long so I'm half enjoying it. I'm nervous for tonight. His poor little groin is such a mess I dread changing his diaper.
Neither of my kids STTN consistently. Erin is three and still gets about between 3-4 usually, but falls right back to sleep. Gavin wakes up every two hours still.
I love the crawling stage - C was a little crawling speed demon, it was adorable! Even though I should know better, I've been excited for D to get there too. And now he is, and hoo boy, I didn't think about how different a crawler would be with a toddler. He's into all of C's toys, and it's a struggle for the toddler to handle anyone (or any dog) touching his stuff under the best of circumstances. A baby-zilla crawling over to rip apart his train track, then roll over and kick him while chewing on his train, makes the kid flip out.
It's, like, character building, right? :P I feel like half my mommy duties are now playing referee.
And I still blame the tree. That thing went up, and suddenly D could crawl for the power cords. All my "come to mommy" encouragement, nada. But Christmas lights? Now that he gets his little butt in gear for!
As usual, #samekids!
We do have the #samekids! I tried letting D sit up to nurse because you said Z likes to - he kept taking breaks to drum on my boob and laugh.
Z likes to pop off and then dip her head backwards and upside down and laugh at her brother, her dad or the cats. Then ravenously find my boob, take 3 sucks, and then pop off again to whip her head around to look at the TV D is watching. "Mom I am hungry but I want to look at ALL THE THINGS."
This is Dylan!!! I keep threatening to feed him in the closet
DS1 has slept through the night consistently since he was 6 weeks old. And I mean 12 hours or more a night. He also would take 8 hour naps during the day. G has only slept through the night 7 times? They are very different kids. I use to worry so much about Micah because he slept so much, he was always behind on his gross motor skills and language. Poru said it perfectly, sleep is the only easy thing about Micah, so I use to brag about it. I didn't want to write about all his doctor appointments and how they thought everything was wrong with my baby boy.
Now with George, I realize sleep isn't that easy for every baby.
@elodiesmom sending many positive thoughts that everything will be okay
@teresa1896 - we had a similar thing happen the other night. LO was waking up more than usual the second part of the night, which seemed a little weird but not completely out of the norm, so we did let him cry a bit. Discovered in the morning that somehow a pacifier had ended up inside of his pajamas during the middle of the night diaper change

The height limit on Sullivan's car seat pretty much just creeped up on us. He is growing so freaking fast! I'm gonna have to measure him tomorrow to see if he is too close to wait for the in laws to buy a new seat for Christmas.
DH and I were laying in bed talking just now, and after being quiet for maaaaybe 2 minutes, he says, "I dreamed I was the baby and I was eating cantaloupe and choking on it. Cause, you know, he doesn't chew as much as he should." Um.. Just now?! Yes. Apparently he had time in two minutes to fall asleep, have a dream, and wake up and tell me about it like he was just continuing the conversation. Lol
Let me know if you find a way @hlm184. I've been feeding my pup first thing in the AM when baby is too distracted and after bed time. I can't leave her water bowl down anymore or DS goes for a swim. My dog must be thirsty.

This made me laugh way too hard. )

Has anyone else's baby been sleeping super crappily because of teething? I'm hoping that's all this is. For the past 3 night she has woken up at various hours for 2 hours. Last night was 4:30-6:30. Kellymom says that teething babes wake more often to eat in order to relieve the pain and suggested giving Tylenol before bed, but that didn't seem to help. And I don't want to unnecessarily be giving her meds. I'm worried that she's just forming new habits and that it'll stay this way even after the tooth comes in. Someone please tell me there's light at the end of this tunnel. (

It's just cost me $475 for $400 American dollars. BOOOOOO
We use to go to PEI every summer to visit my grandfather and I loved exchanging money because it made me feel so rich! ...until I tried to buy anything. But I still think toonies are cool!

Plus PEI is amazing!
I've always wanted to visit there because of Anne of Green Gables!

@edoliesmom - D's been sleep crying for a few days. He doesn't actually get up that much, but he cries hard enough he gets me up. I finally noticed that a tooth is starting to cut yesterday, so I gave him ibuprofen before bed and that seemed to help. It works better/lasts longer than Tylenol, so I usually so ibuprofen at night for pain.
He's driving me more nuts during the day. He's turned super clingy and screams like everything (floor, crib, bouncer, walker) is hot lava. And then the toddler sees me holding him and wants up too. That new wrap is getting a lot of love! :P
I thought about getting ibuprofen because of its anti-inflammatory stuff, but I've never given it to her before. How much are they supposed to get? Edolie is fine during the day thankfully. She's probably actually a pretty tame, mild teething baby and I just don't know it and should be grateful or something. But we're not sleeping well, so I'm going to whine. Wahhhh! 8-}

Well, Canada does seem to care more about women's health issues and maternity leave... Omg. Canada is definitely a woman. Does that make America like, her asshole husband?

Motrin Infants' Drops - 12 to 17 lbs dose is 1.25 ml; 18-23 lbs dose is 1.875 ml; it comes in a non-staining formula too which is nice.
It lasts 6-8 hours.
Thanks! So, would y'all give it as a preventative measure, or just if they seem to be in discomfort/pain? She's not necessarily fussy when we've been giving her the tylenol, but I know her teething is definitely affecting her because of her sleeping habits and how she will get a hold of something with her gums or just grind her gums together and bite down so hard she shakes.

How annoying, @MrsW26! And sorry to hear about that. That's rough. I hope they're able to figure out what's going on with your daughter's weight gain and that it turns out to be something minor.
