Hi! I'm currently 4 weeks pregnant! Going to the OG tomorrow to check everything and confirm.
First baby for me here! I'm going crazy and can't sleep too. My breast are so sore and I do have a lot of cramps on my sides, especially the right one.. Does anyone feel the same? I'm terrified of a ectopic pregnancy because I got pregnant on my first try and keep thinking something can go wrong.. my test lines are still really faint, and i'm 15 DPO.  :/

@am291994 cramps are totally normal at 4 weeks but it's great that your going to your OB to double check even just for your own peace of mind. Deep breaths today and tomorrow. Sending you good vibes.

    @am291994
Cramping is pretty normal! Baby is snuggling in there   I had some cramping on and off in my pregnancy with my daughter and this one.
Your OB will likely do a blood test to make sure everything's going the way it should. Don't put too much stock in the HPT's -- they're easily affected by the time of day and how hydrated you are, esp. early on.  <3

    Hi everyone!

    Due date? December 1

How did you find out? I have been nauseous and thought it would be too early for a test but did it anyways!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 28 married and have 2 beautiful babies now (5yo and 4 yo) we are so excited for #3 and have been trying for about 18 months! I work from home for a popular hospital around me as a billing specialist

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm still super nauseous so any tips would be appreciated. My first appointment isn't until May 13 at 11 weeks and I'm so ready to go in for it!

    @Nrt0713
Welcome!! and congrats!! This is #2 for me -- I have a little girl (3) from a previous embryo transfer. As for nausea, my nurse always says to just keep munching on something regularly because an empty tummy makes it worse. With my daughter, I would keep some saltines at my desk and eat one every so often. Some people also recommend the "sea bands" you can buy on Amazon -- they use acupressure to reduce nausea. You can also see if chewing candied ginger or having some ginger ale helps -- ginger is great for pushing down nausea and it's safe to take (as opposed to an herbal supplement or tea). So far the nausea hasn't hit me quite yet - a little bit here and there - but not too bad.

I would go crazy having to wait until 5/13 for my first appt!!! Hopefully you can stay busy and the time will fly -- hard to not be busy with two kiddos running around, though!

    Due date? December 7th

How did you find out? Period was late which has only happened once since my last baby- I thought for sure I was just stressed out because I had been agonizing over whether to get the vaccine or not. We had kind of planned on starting to try for another baby MAYBE this summer so this was a shock.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 30, married with a 4 year old DD and 2 year old DD. I like to read, quilt, do anything with my kids, be outside. I’ve also been a Type 1 Diabetic for 23 years making my pregnancies high risk.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Still very surprised and nervous but very happy! I definitely want 3 but wasn’t expecting to be pregnant just yet. I’m very nervous that I got the vaccine a week before finding out I was pregnant, I probably would have waited had I know there was a chance but praying everything will be just fine! OB still hasn’t called me back to schedule an appointment 🙄 Only symptoms are nosebleeds (got them with my first two also) and very tired but I think that’s just a symptom of already being a mom lol.

Due date? December 10th as of now.

How did you find out? We've been trying for 7-8 cycles. Felt a weird cramping at 9 dpo and decided to test a few days later. The first time I had some self-control with testing and it was nice to have a solid line instead of a super squinter.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 30, husband is 29. We're both high school teachers and we have classrooms next to each other. We have two boys, 9 and 3. We have a very spoiled pug and two cats.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Super excited, but also really anxious. My first appointment isn't until 5/11. Not very many symptoms--just a little breast tenderness and some on and off cramping. Hoping I can avoid sickness this time around!

Looking forward to joining the community here!

I'm in Florida too! (Palm Beach County)  And yeah, it's pretty much either Moderna or Pfizer. Hopefully in a few months the shots will be easier to get and you'll be able to pick which one you want without issue. My husband got his first shot this morning at the local county building and it was Moderna. My general take is that there may be risks we don't know about, but overall it's probably a good idea -- BUT I would wait until late 2nd or 3rd trimester personally if I had to make a choice. That way you're avoiding the extremely critical time of fetal development and other shots are recommended for your third trimester so maybe you'll be able to get all of them at once at that point.

@mbradfo2 Thank you! I thought that was how it worked, but my drop down won't show signature setting. Maybe my work computer is being weird; it's also super slow for TB for some reason. I'll try using my phone to see if that makes a difference.

I...am...so...hot. Even inside with the a/c I get warm and uncomfortable. DD loves playing outside -- we have a nice set up on our patio with a sand table, art table and a Barbie swimming pool (doll sized. She loves her dolls and spends hours playing with them). So I usually open the door to the patio and let her play out there while I sit in the somewhat cooler house and watch her  B)

I was actually in my first trimester with DD during the big hurricane in 2017! We had no power for almost two weeks and it was so so hot. So maybe that's why this time feels alot easier so far...I at least have some a/c and nice showers (cold showers were nice though since it was so hot).

@mbradfo2 that sounds miserable!! We thankfully never lost power - ended up hosting 11 family members and friends for a week though. DS1 is a Jan baby, so I'm going through pretty much the same timeframe. I remember Memorial day being so miserable. The in laws want to go to a fair this weekend and all I can think of is how hot and nauseous I'm going to be 🤢

    Due date?
    December 7th 😊

    How did you find out?
We've been trying for almost a year and my period was about to start. Figured I'd take a test and got a really faint line. Thought maybe it was a fluke. Had a little bit of bleeding after, then Monday my nipples got CRAZY sore. Figured it was the real deal. 🤣 Took a digital test on Tuesday and turned positive right away.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I'm 31, and a SAHM of our 2 year old DD and almost 11 DS. My husband is 32 and is a senior project manager and partner at an electrical contractor. We love doing things in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, bonfires with friends and my son plays baseball!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Had some bleeding after the digital test so I called and they wanted me to go in for a blood test to check my numbers. Everything came back within range, but going in again today just to be super positive. No pun intended 🤣 Super tired. No energy to do anything. A little nauseous this morning but nothing too crazy.

    Congrats to you all! ❤

Hello, everyone!  Slightly hesitant to join in with it being so early still, but I definitely want to try to get to know you all because I had (and still do have) such a great time with my dec 2018 bmb.

Due date?  Dec 8, 2021 (my daughter's birthday lol)

How did you find out?  We had been trying on and off for 5 months, but had only gotten serious about it last month when I started using an ovulation kit and tracking app.  My period was late, but I waited a few days because I wanted to make sure it wasn't coming.

(TW* I had just had a chemical pregnancy the month before and I didn't want to go through the same thing again, so I gave myself some extra time before poas.  I would rather just think my period came late than know I was pregnant and lost it*).

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)  I have 1 daughter who is two, 3 dogs, and a husband who I've been married to for 2 years but been with for 17 years.  Our first was an oopsie baby after 15 years together, and our wedding was basically a shotgun marriage lol.   I am an occupational therapist, though I haven't been practicing for the last 2+ years because of extended maternity leave, then pandemic.  We love to hike and take our daughter to the beach.  I used to love photography, horseback riding, and kickboxing but that was pre baby and prepandemic and pre back injury lol.  Now basically I love binging ridiculous shows on Netflix until I pass out on the couch.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)  I am feeling overall pretty good except that I am sick with some kind of cold/allergies/sinus infection(/covid?!).  I am vaccinated, but need to be covid tested prior to my first ob appointment on 4/29 since i am exhibiting symptoms, so that sucks.  Funny story, i was sick basically with the same thing when I found out I was pregnant with my first and freaked out because I had been taking sudafed for my congestion.  So yeah, apparently I like to get sick right before I get my BFP.   Only pregnancy symptoms at the moment are super sore boobs and tiredness.  I am feeling pretty good emotionally, but I have my ups and downs.

@scaredunprepared- welcome!! My son was January 2019, so close to Dec 2018 like you and @nz113. I’m hoping 3 years apart is a good amount. I had planned two... but the best laid plans...

Congratulations!! My daughter just turned 3 - and I think 3 years is the perfect gap!  By 3, they start getting a little more independent and are increasingly interested in other people, especially those around their own age -- both of which play into the big brother/sister role quite well.

My daughter loves baby dolls and was 'teaching' her new doll how to walk the other day...practicing already to be a big sister!

@mbradfo2 my ds just turned 3 this week and I am so glad we waited until now with him so he will be a little more independent by the time baby shows up! My dd was just shy of 2 years when I had my ds and while it was hard because she was so young still, she was obsessed with him which was a special kind of adorable. I am more excited for her to be a big sister to a baby when she is almost 6 though because I know she is going to be my biggest helper! Even more than my dh probably!!!! LOL but I agree 3 is such a good gap!

@mbradfo2 and @srprins1987- I know there are pros and cons to any age gap, but that is very encouraging!! I can’t wait to see my son be a big brother (fingers crossed!!)
