@blueowl08 my daughter was born dec 2018, so just a month before yours. I think this age gap will be great. I kickboxed last pregnancy until the day I went into labor, I felt like such a badass. This pregnancy I already am so lazy I am hoping to at least keep up with some kind of exercise, maybe zumba? Yoga? Anything. Rock climbing sounds awesome, but I am definitely not strong enough for that. My shoulders are so weak they give out when I do pushups 🙄. I also spotted my last pregnancy... until week 12! A few hospital trips because I was a nervous wreck with that. So weird expecting spotting and it not being there, but then when there is even a tiny bit I freak out, so 🤷♀️. I can't win! Lol
Eta: my husband wont be able to come to my appointments either
@scaredunprepared I think I just missed your post! Kickboxing sounds so cool — that’s awesome that you were able to do that last pregnancy. I’ve been doing some workout videos — I have a beach body on demand subscription since the pandemic, but I’m already finding those workouts way way harder than I did a few weeks ago! I guess we just have to be patient with ourselves
How did you find out? I was testing like crazy because we’ve been trying for a few months
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) my name is Katie. I have a 3yo, and my husband and I both work full time. I love to read, mostly mysteries.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m so excited and anxious. TW I had a loss in November. I’m terrified of having another one, but I am so happy to be pregnant again
Due date? CHRISTMAS! Eeeeeek. It'll be a c-section though, which I believe are normally scheduled at 39 weeks in an ideal world.
How did you find out? TTC for 4+ years, 2 years of IF. Failed IUI, freeze all IVF, failed the first FET, and BFP on this one!! Started testing early, 4DP5DT (equivalent of 8DPO) and got a faint positive on 5DP5DT and VERY positive today, 6DP5DT!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 33, DH is 34, we have a 4 yr old DD who locked the door and threw away the key on her way out apparently. She was breech, scheduled c-section, and I must have hit the ground running too hard after birth, because my c-section scar was torn pretty badly on the inside, causing fluid build-up in the "niche" (torn area) and pretty much washed away any fertilized eggs attempting to implant. I highly recommend you ladies take your doctors' advice!! I learned the hard way
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Still in shock! It's still very early, my beta isn't for another week. Emotionally I'm still registering everything, I get tears of joy a couple of times a day really hoping my body carries this baby to term! I've only been pregnant once before which was a successful one but I'm hyper aware of chemicals and miscarriage rates. Choosing to stay positive
Me: 33 | DH: 34
TTC #1 Oct 2015
BFP Mar 26, 2016 - DD born Nov 2016 TTC #2 since Mar 2017 DX: MF June 2019, varicocele embolization Jan 2020, good improvement (14 mil, low motility) IUI#1 Aug 2020 - BFN IVF #1 Dec 2020 (ICSI) - ER, freeze-all - 15 retrieved, 15 mature, 15 fertilized. 4 embryos frozen, all day 5 blasts! Due date? I believe 12/22 (although my MFM relayed to me at a preconception appointment that I'll have my RCS at 37 weeks for health/high-risk reasons).
How did you find out? Tests at 8, 9, and 10 dpo were definitely negative.. faint line at 11 dpo and pretty clear line and a positive digital test at 12!
Tell us about yourself I am 37, DH is 40, and we have one daughter who will be five next month! Also have two very spoiled furbabies (a cat and a dog). I work as a consultant in the human services field, and love reading, true crime, and cross-stitch. We live in Maryland.
How are you feeling? I'm stoked! This has been a long road and not an easy decision for us...we were 99% sure we were one-and-done for a long time, but decided to give our daughter a sibling and now we are SO excited.
My daughter's BMB was (and continues to be) a huge source of support, and I hope to have the same experience this time around.
@PYLWhammy Congrats and welcome! We were initially one and done ourselves but decided to give it one shot (IVF so quite literally) before calling it. So far so good!
@PrettyPalomino I remember you from the IF boards! So glad you're over here!! I was on the Feb IVF thread as well, but we just did our first FET from that IVF cycle on 3/19.

TW- I had a miscarriage (my first pregnancy) in November at almost 5 weeks. I hit 5 weeks today and it feels like a huge milestone, but I know there is still a long road ahead. I’m very anxious and hesitant to plan too far ahead due to the loss. I called my doctor when I tested positive and they immediately scheduled me for blood work to make sure levels were on track. Everything came back great and my first ultrasound is scheduled for April 27. The waiting is the worst part!!
So far, I’ve been feeling pretty good. Lots of bloating and I’m very emotional. I’m also hungry ALL THE TIME haha! Thankfully, no nausea yet.
@madeinmaine44 welcome! So happy your bloodwork came back good and FX for a sticky babe this time! It is so hard not to worry constantly after a loss!!!
@madeinmaine44- welcome!! And congrats on 5 weeks and rising numbers! Waiting is so hard at this point. We are all here just passing the days together!

How did you find out? POAS... been TTC since Nov
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We live in Chicagoland, have 2 boys (7 tomorrow! & 3), 2 dogs and 1 cat. I work from home for an amazing Pharma distributor and have been super happy since joining the company a little over a year ago. Total homebody, love watching movies/TV, true crime (podcasts and TV), reading, board games, but also really do enjoy being outdoors, hiking/exploring, hanging with friends and family, working out, gardening/home improvements. DH works for the government and is currently wfh, but is slowly starting to transition back to the "office" and traveling per his job requirements.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) *TW* I intro'd in Nov 2021 BMB just a few short weeks ago, but that pregnancy unfortunately resulted in a CP right on the heels of a previous CP in January. This is now my 6th pregnancy and hopefully 3rd live babe! 2nd pregnancy was a MMC at 9 weeks between my boys. PGAL brain is in overdrive, but really embracing the mindset of "I'm pregnant today". We've been trying since November so it's been a tough journey since. No appointments yet, but just watching the lines get darker then will follow-up with repeated bloodwork. No crazy symptoms yet. Emotionally I'm ok! I do also suffer from HG from 6-14 weeks like clockwork so I am PRAYING it spares me this time around, but will also be grateful for each and every symptom I experience.
Hoping to get to stick around with you ladies and wishing us all a H&H 9 months!
@misspricklepants- welcome!! I am in SE WI, so not far from you i totally get the PGAL (after a loss at 7 weeks and a chemical pregnancy this summer), so I will be sending lots of prayers for your babe to stick around!!

@misspricklepants congrats and welcome! My husband also works for the Gov and ive loved having him mostly home all this time, not looking forward to him going back to the office and traveling again. Due date? 12/22 but likely a week prior due to GD.
How did you find out? My period tracker reminded me I hadn’t logged the start of my period and I said ‘oh sh!t’ booked it to Walgreens and tested.

I have four children (two boy/two girls; ages 14, 10, 6, and 4).
I work for the government and currently WFH. My husband is a SAHD.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I haven’t scheduled my first appointment yet. So far I’m just crampy, emotional, and nauseous.
Welcome ladies! It seems like we have a bevvy of STM here
My husband is also a govt employee (works for one of the public universities) and I'm fortunate to have him working from home most of the time. They are planning on returning to the office full-time in the fall (and DD should be starting preschool again then too), but if baby arrives in Nov/Dec (I'm thinking likely early because of my history of pre-E), he'll maybe be in the office for two months and then on FMLA for another 2 months. If I find a 3 yr old too much to handle during my 3rd tri, I'll likely up her preschool time from part-time to full-time, but the plan is to have her be part-time once the baby arrives so she can feel a part of things at home.

(December is a busy month for us between 6 immediate family bdays (including mine!), DH and my anniversary and Christmas. BRING IT DECEMBER!! What is money anyway?)
We live in Chicagoland, have 2 boys (7 tomorrow!
*TW* I intro'd in Nov 2021 BMB just a few short weeks ago, but that pregnancy unfortunately resulted in a CP right on the heels of a previous CP in January.

Baby Born born early @ 33.5 weeks due to Pre-e
Back for # 2!
I have four children (two boy/two girls; ages 14, 10, 6, and 4).
