@blueowl08 my daughter was born dec 2018, so just a month before yours.  I think this age gap will be great.  I kickboxed last pregnancy until the day I went into labor, I felt like such a badass.  This pregnancy I already am so lazy I am hoping to at least keep up with some kind of exercise, maybe zumba?  Yoga? Anything.   Rock climbing sounds awesome, but I am definitely not strong enough for that.  My shoulders are so weak they give out when I do pushups 🙄.  I also spotted my last pregnancy... until week 12!  A few hospital trips because I was a nervous wreck with that.  So weird expecting spotting and it not being there, but then when there is even a tiny bit I freak out, so 🤷‍♀️.   I can't win!  Lol

Eta:  my husband wont be able to come to my appointments either :(

  • @JamieH2000 @scaredunprepared @nz113 my daughter was born January 2019 — fun to have a few of us with kiddos at almost exactly the same age gap!

  • @scaredunprepared I think I just missed your post! Kickboxing sounds so cool — that’s awesome that you were able to do that last pregnancy. I’ve been doing some workout videos — I have a beach body on demand subscription since the pandemic, but I’m already finding those workouts way way harder than I did a few weeks ago! I guess we just have to be patient with ourselves :)

  • Hi everyone!!

My due date is December 16. I started taking at home pregnancy tests a couple of days before my missed period. DH and I were so excited to see that BFP!

I work remotely in HR full-time for a local company. Haven’t thought too much about work plans after baby, yet.

TW- I had a miscarriage (my first pregnancy) in November at almost 5 weeks. I hit 5 weeks today and it feels like a huge milestone, but I know there is still a long road ahead. I’m very anxious and hesitant to plan too far ahead due to the loss. I called my doctor when I tested positive and they immediately scheduled me for blood work to make sure levels were on track. Everything came back great and my first ultrasound is scheduled for April 27. The waiting is the worst part!!

So far, I’ve been feeling pretty good. Lots of bloating and I’m very emotional. I’m also hungry ALL THE TIME haha! Thankfully, no nausea yet.
Hello and Welcome aboard! Take good care always and am happy for you. Congrats!

  • @misspricklepants- welcome!! I am in SE WI, so not far from you :) i totally get the PGAL (after a loss at 7 weeks and a chemical pregnancy this summer), so I will be sending lots of prayers for your babe to stick around!!

  • @misspricklepants congrats and welcome! My husband also works for the Gov and ive loved having him mostly home all this time, not looking forward to him going back to the office and traveling again.  I also had a chemical pregnancy right before this BFP, so I get it.   Really trying not to let my anxiety get the better of me.  Hoping we both get to stick around here!

  • Welcome ladies!
It seems like we have a bevvy of STM here

My husband is also a govt employee (works for one of the public universities) and I'm fortunate to have him working from home most of the time. They are planning on returning to the office full-time in the fall (and DD should be starting preschool again then too), but if baby arrives in Nov/Dec (I'm thinking likely early because of my history of pre-E), he'll maybe be in the office for two months and then on FMLA for another 2 months. If I find a 3 yr old too much to handle during my 3rd tri, I'll likely up her preschool time from part-time to full-time, but the plan is to have her be part-time once the baby arrives so she can feel a part of things at home.
