@Elle131 wow! We have very similar stories! We also did IVF to avoid passing on a genetic disorder! I think they're going to put my EDD at 7/5 (transfer on 10/18 with a 5day embryo) based on how they've scheduled things.
Our EDD is 7/7/2020 We have a 7 year old Spring Spaniel and a 5 year old (turns 6 July 17) human daughter (who is an amazing little spitfire) I am 35 and hubby is 36 (36 and 37 when lo is born) It took us 4 years of trying to have our girl and we had a loss in March of this year after 3 years of trying. We figured we were down for the count so weren't really teying for this one! Here I am, over 5 weeks and trying not to be too excited. Betas look good so far and the sore boobs, mood swings, burping, nausea, and gagging when I brush my teeth are definite reassurances My husband is military and not home a ton, so I have been a SAHM for the last 5 years. I JUST went back to work very part time as a substitute elementary school teacher now that our daughter started kindergarten. We are so blessed and hopeful. Feeling so positive about this rainbow!
EDD (Estimated Due Date) 7/2/2020 - How you found out I had a FET, poas on 9dpt and then Beta at 11dpt - Hobbies, Job, Etc. An investigator for school on sexual misconduct, fused glass, reading, movies - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies my wife and I have been married 7 & 1/2 years. Three cats, no children
- Anything you’d like us to know We had six IUIs, one failed FET and TW
-EDD (Estimated Due Date): right now I’m guessing 7/19, but I’ll be getting an ultrasound to confirm - How you found out: I track my cycle with Ava and noticed my luteal phase was long. Two negative tests on Monday and Wednesday, and a very clear positive today! I'm SO excited, but after the initial two negative tests it still feels like a shock. - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I love organizing, planning and goal setting; makeup; politics; reading; hockey; working out, especially barre; project cooking and baking - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: DH and I will be married 8 years this summer and we’ve got three boys (6, almost 4, and almost 2). No pets, were on the fence about getting a dog. - Anything you’d like us to know: I’m super active in my younger two’s birth month groups (on FB now), actually admin my youngest’s group. And I treasure the awesome friendships I’ve made, looking forward to getting to know you all!
DS1: Nov. 2013 DS2: Jan. 2016 DS3: Dec. 2017 Baby #4 on the way!
@stlbuckeye132 do you know when you need to start modifying in barre? I go to bar method, but didn’t want to announce there too early, unless I have to!
DS1: Nov. 2013 DS2: Jan. 2016 DS3: Dec. 2017 Baby #4 on the way!
@KatieEl, I've not done bar method, so I'm not sure how it varies from PB, but I don't think you'd need to modify anything until at least second trimester. Of course listen to your body, and if you get lightheaded or anything like that, take a breather and bring it down a notch in how far you're pushing it. I don't think you need to tell them yet though if you're not ready!
I did PB through my entire first pregnancy and I'm hoping to do the same this time around too. I think it really helped me with L&D and recovery! I had diastisis recti with my first (separation of your abdominal wall - it's fairly common in pregnancy and PP), so for that I modified by doing absolutely no twisting through my waist, planks and push-ups on a diagonal at the barre instead of on the floor, no pulling off the barre w/ back parallel to floor - basically nothing with twists or with belly button pointed down at the floor b/c it put too much weight on my abdominal wall that was already separating. I did also stop any stretches lying on my front just when it felt weird to me, I think for me that was around 16 weeks, and stopped any abs lying on my back sometime in the third trimester.
Sorry for the lengthy response, but I hope it's helpful! And yay, barre! It's the best.
@stlbuckeye132 thank you for your response, super helpful! I've exercised through all my pregnancies, but only got into barre after my last birth at the suggestion of my chiropractor and pelvic floor PT. I'm like an evangelist, barre is the best and has done so much to heal my core and strengthen my TA and get me into a good place for this baby!
DS1: Nov. 2013 DS2: Jan. 2016 DS3: Dec. 2017 Baby #4 on the way!
Hey Everyone!!
I am SO excited to be joining you. I got my BFP yesterday after going off BC in May. I am married to my high school sweetheart (10 years in January!) and we have an awesome 7 year old daughter. We also have a boxer and a Maltese-shih tzu mix. I own a residential and commercial cleaning company and have recently stepped back to part time. EDD is 7/19/2019. My May 2012 moms birth group is still super active (moved to Facebook now) from having my daughter, so I am excited to meet some new people this go around!
I'm an excited, albeit slightly nervous, FTM and my EDD is July 2nd.
I found out a couple days before my missed period because I felt off and thought I was getting sick, but my mom always tells this story of how she went to see the doctor for a cold and found out she was pregnant with my brother so I figured I would check and sure enough I took a test and got a BFP. I was in shock though and didn't really believe it until I actually missed my period and retested with a digital that spelled it out for me lol.
I'm a New Yorker and live here with my DH. We've been together 16 years, but have only been married for 3 (we met in HS). I work in marketing/communications and he's an attorney. My current favorite hobbies are pining for warm weather, watching soapy foreign dramas on Netflix, and spending hours googling pregnancy things. I also enjoy going to the movies, learning to cook new things, and spending time with family/friends, but this exhaustion - the struggle is real is all I have to say.
I am considered a high risk pregnancy due to having 2 autoimmune conditions. They are stable now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed they go into remission for the duration of this pregnancy, but doctor's aren't sure what to expect because 1 of them typically goes into remission and the other flares so I'm hoping they cancel each other out. I had a beta done a week ago and so far so good.
Also, DH and I haven't told anyone about me being pregnant yet because I'm nervous that something might go wrong due to my conditions and it's killing me so I am happy to be here and have a little community to share with!

- How you found out- I took approximately 5 pregnancy tests before I got the faint positive 1 day before my missed period. I was super anxious and ready for this baby after TTC for 1 year.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.- I supervise an outpatient program for individuals with mental health diagnoses.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies- Been with my husband for 12 years, married for 5 years. We have a 3 year old son and 3 angel babies.
- Anything you’d like us to know- I’ve been a lurker for several years and I am finally ready to step out of the shadows and participate, as anxious as that makes me!
Hi everyone,
EDD July 15. My husband, 2.5 year old son (July 2017) and I live in Alberta, Canada. TTC for over a year so cautiously optimistic and not wanting to celebrate just yet. Took a test two days ago when I was 1 day late. Having mild cramping and tingly boobs. I’m and engineer working in an internal consulting role, lots of presentations and meetings. I had hypremesis gravidarum my first pregnancy that lasted until 22 weeks and I went to a dark place and missed some work. Wondering how that’s going to play out this time.... no nausea yet. Also hoping I can keep this a secret from work until the new year and not have people guessing/gossiping.
- How you found out: missed cycle, and other signs lead me to test.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I love creating art. I'm an project administrator for construction company. Also logo designer.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids: Husband, 3 children ages 11(son), 9(daughter), 2(son). One in heaven.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂:
Well this baby was a COMPLETE SURPRISE! actually took a plan b because husband played too much. But baby said that they will stick with plan a. So, I'm here! Not going to front, I was distraught. But husband had been talking about one more child for a while. So he was happy. It took me 48 hours to get on the same boat. Now, I can't wait to meet them! I nicknamed this pregnancy the "Last Hurrah". For this is all folks! 😆😁
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you ladies!
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be here- I lurked on TTGP for the last 6 months but could never bring myself to join. I'm excited to be active here now!
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) - July 10 based on LMP, but I expect that will change based on a dating ultrasound on 11/21
- How you found out - last weekend we were spending time with my SIL, BIL, and their son who is 1 and I was exhausted. It was early, but I took a test and it was negative. I waited to Weds to take another test and it was positive and DH and I couldn't believe it. Took another test Thursday and it was also positive, so we started to believe it. I have PCOS so my gyno ordered an HCG blood test which I did yesterday and confirmed it, so I guess this is the real deal!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. - I work at an education non-profit to recruit teachers and help them become licensed - shout out to all the teachers and school admins in this group, you are amazing!. DH works for a shoe company. We are big college sports fans and hockey fans, and otherwise enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, podcasts, and craft breweries (concealing non-drinking is going to be hard for me)
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - I'm 29 and DH is 28. We've been together 9 years and married 3.5. this is our first pregnancy! We have a 5yo cat named Pippi and an almost 3yo dog named Riley.
- Anything you’d like us to know - like I mentioned above, I have PCOS, so I started working to prepare my body for TTC for a while before we even started. I cut gluten, dairy, and caffeine, and moved to all natural cleaning and hygienic products. Booze was going to be the next thing to go and I suppose it is now anyway lol. I genuinely didn't believe this would ever happen for us, and I'm still in disbelief, and also nervous because PCOS pregnancies carry a 3x higher risk of MC. Any other PCOS mom's out there (or endometriosis, fibroids, etc) ?
I'm also really bad at keeping secrets so keeping this under wraps is going to be really tough - and is a big part of why I'm excited to be here with you all! How are y'all thinking about telling family, friends, and work?
-due ~ july 18 tbc with US which I have not scheduled yet.
-I had a feeling that this was it. We had been ttgp for about two months. I got really nauseous on the train this week suddenly, so that prompted me to test. Kind of in disbelief still!
-I used to be a workout junkie before kid 1, now I’m just trying To fit in what I can. I like barre, boxing, yoga and binging tv shows (currently This is Us). Sometimes I read. I work as a data analyst within the talent field.
-I’m 33 and MH is 34. We have a daughter who is 19mos. And a 85lb black GSD.
Congratulations! @nessa1632 I too was a workout junkie before this pregnancy. I worked really hard to lose the weight from my last pregnancy 2 years ago. Now, I barely have energy and if I do, I doing my best to make sure I get a good workout with going to hard.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) July 9, but this will be a planned c-sec so I’m assuming I’ll go a week or so earlier.
- How you found out DH and I have been trying for our 3rd for a few months. I was feeling crampy, tired and nauseous, and tested positive last Sunday on our 12 year wedding anniversary!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.
Currently my hobby seems to be napping! I work in marketing, DH is in IT operations and finishing a masters in software engineering next month. I love to exercise, specifically powerlifting type workouts. I feel stronger for this pregnancy than I did for older two kiddos when I was mostly running, and hoping to continue doing what feels good throughout the pregnancy. Also love reading and camping.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies Hubby and I have been together 18 years, married for 12. Two daughters, ages 9 and 6. One 16 year old dog.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 I feel a little crazy for having another baby at 39yo and 6 years after my last. I’m sure family and friends will think we’re nuts too! We just didn’t feel that our family was complete yet! We’re excited to experience pregnancy and a baby one more time, and thrilled to see my girls as big sisters. A little nervous for a 3rd c-sec. My first was emergency, second was a failed VBAC, so this will be my first planned.
Hi All! Super excited to be joining you (here in chilly NYC)!
— EDD: 7/19 — How I Found Out: IVF transfer was 11/1 and test has been positive since 11/5 — Hobbies / Job: I was a fashion / tech executive until 3m ago, when I quit my job to spend more time with my son. I love design, decor & when time allows, breaking a sweat — My Fam: I’m 40, DH is 43, and our son is
16m. This was our last embryo, and if all goes well, will complete our family
— Other: A bit nervous how this pregnancy will go being older, a couple lbs heavier (but much less fit), and with a toddler. My son ended up flipping breach at 36w, and that + a genetic platelet disorder led me to deliver at 38w via a general anesthesia C-section.
On the other side, I have ALL the STUFF already & have seen poop in all its forms... so I’m ready! Hah
We are going to tell people late July/early August and if they ask for a date, July 31. We said mid month with first pregnancy but then registry had date...then his parents really didn't realize we were due early in month (went one week over though
- How you found out: POAS 4 days before my missed period
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I am in graduate school
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: We live in the midwest, moved at 7.5 months pregnant with our first. DS is 2.5 years old and I was on BB in 2017 that has moved to an amazing Facebook group. We have a mutt/rescue dog (German Short Hair Pointer/mix) who was our first baby. We got him 3.5 months into dating
- Anything you’d like us to know: This is our rainbow baby. I miscarried last summer at about 10 weeks. I felt off the entire time and had to demand an ultrasound (they weren't going to do one until 20 weeks). There was no heartbeat. It has been a very difficult journey....I look back and wonder why they didn't look at my history and protocol then. Lots of what ifs....This time I'm on it and they're okay with it.
We have been married for almost 10 years. This will be baby number three, we have an almost 8 year old son and a 3 year old daughter.
We have history of loss and I struggle with low progesterone so currently on a progesterone supplement.
I look forward to getting to know you all. I was a part of the birth month boards for both of my other kids and still have relationships with them to this day!
- EDD- Going by LMP I am due somewhere around July 15th, but I know I ovulated late this cycle. So, it's probably closer to July 22nd. - How you found out- I was started having symptoms similar to my last pregnancy. High BBT temps, unquenchable thirst, and an awful metallic taste in my mouth that wouldn't go away. I knew relatively soon after ovulating that I was pregnant, but waited until this past Friday to test because it would have been too early otherwise. I got my BFP on the same DPO as my last pregnancy-8DPO. - Hobbies, Job, Etc.- I was employed full-time until the end of my ML in Feb19, and have be SAHM ever since. It's been an adjustment, but I am enjoying the time with my son. Hobbies- I love arts and crafts, cooking, movies, music and singing. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies- DH is 32 and I am 34. We have been together since June '14, and married in July '16. I have a DS who just turned 1yo Nov 3rd. I was a part of the Oct18 BMB, and still a part of the group now that we have moved to Facebook. Unfortunately no fur babies- though I am an avid dog lover. - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 I currently live in NYC, but my husband recently accepted a new job that will be moving us to Pittsburgh next month. We have a lot on our plate for the next few weeks getting ready for this move, and I am hoping I can keep my stress levels down.
@k_shaunte the no energy is no joke! I also would rather spend awake time with MD so it’s just all off schedule wise. I’m hoping I can figure something out tho bc I love the mental clarity with working out!
Hi everyone! - EDD (Estimated Due Date) - 4 July 2020 to be confirmed at ultrasound - How you found out - I actually had told my husband the day before that I was sure my period was coming, I had no symptoms whatsoever and was feeling like it was coming on. It was a Friday and I wanted to check to make sure I could enjoy a drink that night, I think I was about 12 DPO at the time and I was so surprised to see a line come up! - Hobbies, Job, Etc. I'm a lecturer and love to run, hike and enjoy the outdoors. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - married for 3 years to my lovely husband, we just celebrated 10 years together! - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 this will be my first after over 2 years of trying and one early miscarriage. I am pretty nervous and cautiously excited. Long time lurker here as I was a chronic symptom spotter, so I'm delighted to actually have my own story to tell now! 🙂🙂🙂
Hi and congrats to all so happy to join you on this journey!
- EDD is July 3, although my doctor hesitates between July 1 and 2. I guess my dating ultrasound Will confirm!
- I found out 19 days ago, but a full week of sore breasts before that tipped me off 😅 Told my fiancé later that day attaching the pregnancy test to our dog's collar! He had the best reaction.
- I work in marketing for a software company and am a volleyball player (I had to give up volleyball about a week ago because my doctor thought it was risky. I could have probably kept going a bit but I also didn't feel to comfortable doing so as I am basically Doing High jumps most of the time.) Focusing on staying active differently in the months to come and I think I will pick up pottery at the same time.
- Engaged to my handsome fiancé since this summer, together since 2013. We are parents to a wonderful beagle named Oliver, our first born son 😂
Looking forward to all of this while anxiously waiting for our first ultrasound to confirm all is well in there 😊🤞
SO and I have been together for 2.5yrs but do not live together. We had a MC in August this year so I'm still paranoid over every cramp etc.
I am a 37yo single mom to DD age 18 who is away at college, DS1 age 15, and DS2 age 9. SO has 3 DD ages 15, 9, & 9.
My EDD is July 14. We were NTNP and I am so very excited about this LO. I knew as we were DTD that we were going to be pg and got a vvfl bfp at 8dpo. Right now, SO and I are the only ones who know about this pg
I work in healthcare in executive management and as a provider (family health and general surgery).
I was a member of Just Mommies with my other 3 pregnancies and have lifelong online friends from those groups. Unfortunately, their forums are prettymuch closed. I'm hoping The Bump will be my new pg/parenting home!
Hello! EDD July 3rd - How you found out? I wasnt tracking my period and seemed odd I didnt get it this month. I was so sure I would get it and on day 3 I toke 2 tests and both positive!
- my husband and I will be married for 5yrs this December. We have 1 daughter who is 2yrs old and 2 dogs! - we actually wanted to start trying for baby #2 the begin on the year and this hit us unexpectedly for sure. Experiencing the nausea while running after a toddler is a challenge. I would say I'm more nervous this second time around. Cant wait to get over the nausea hump.
I’m 30, my husband and I have been together almost 12 years and have almost 5 year old twin girls. We’ve been trying for our 3rd almost 2 years now with numerous rounds of failed fertility treatments and finally got a BFP NATURALLY. I’m still shocked lol. My EDD is 7/18 and I’m already sweating thinking about it. I stay at home with my girls who are in half day pre-k. We have 3 dogs and I work with a local dachshund rescue.
EDD: July 26 How I found out: I happened to have a FRER leftover from my last cycle and decided to use it sort of on a whim. (I mean, I did a little bit of mental math first, and decided, hey, why not, it might be early enough! I think I'm 8dpo today, which is what I was when I got my BFP with DD.) I was definitely expecting to play another round of "shine a flashlight on the test and stare at it long enough to convince myself an obvious BFN is a squinter" this morning, so. I'm really pleasantly surprised! Hobbies/job/etc.: I teach middle school and am currently pursuing my Master's in curriculum (I'm hoping to transition into an instructional design, curriculum specialist, coaching, etc. position within the next few years). I live in Chicago and love going for long walks, traveling, watching good TV, and puzzles (right now I'm on a crossword kick). I used to play trumpet and was in my university's marching band. Family: DH and I are both 32 and have been together for 14 years (married for four). Our daughter will be three in January and is going to make an awesome big sister!
I tend to vacillate between actively participating and lurking, so it's totally possible that my life will get busy and I'll just disappear, but right now I'm really excited to be here!
Me 32 |DH 32 married 9/15 DD: 1/17/17 #2 due 7/26/20!

July 9, but this will be a planned c-sec so I’m assuming I’ll go a week or so earlier.
- How you found out
DH and I have been trying for our 3rd for a few months. I was feeling crampy, tired and nauseous, and tested positive last Sunday on our 12 year wedding anniversary!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies
Hubby and I have been together 18 years, married for 12. Two daughters, ages 9 and 6. One 16 year old dog.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂
I feel a little crazy for having another baby at 39yo and 6 years after my last.
— EDD: 7/19
— How I Found Out: IVF transfer was 11/1 and test has been positive since 11/5
— Hobbies / Job: I was a fashion / tech executive until 3m ago, when I quit my job to spend more time with my son. I love design, decor & when time allows, breaking a sweat
— My Fam: I’m 40, DH is 43, and our son is
We are going to tell people late July/early August and if they ask for a date, July 31.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) - 4 July 2020 to be confirmed at ultrasound
- How you found out - I actually had told my husband the day before that I was sure my period was coming, I had no symptoms whatsoever and was feeling like it was coming on.

Hello!
EDD July 3rd
- How you found out?
I wasnt tracking my period and seemed odd I didnt get it this month. I was so sure I would get it and on day 3 I toke 2 tests and both positive!
- my husband and I will be married for 5yrs this December. We have 1 daughter who is 2yrs old and 2 dogs!
- we actually wanted to start trying for baby #2 the begin on the year and this hit us unexpectedly for sure. Experiencing the nausea while running after a toddler is a challenge. I would say I'm more nervous this second time around. Cant wait to get over the nausea hump.
EDD: July 26
How I found out: I happened to have a FRER leftover from my last cycle and decided to use it sort of on a whim.
I tend to vacillate between actively participating and lurking, so it's totally possible that my life will get busy and I'll just disappear, but right now I'm really excited to be here!
married 9/15
DD: 1/17/17
#2 due 7/26/20!
