- EDD (Estimated Due Date) 6/22/20 - How you found out: I had been waiting to POAS since we has our IUI and the day before my missed period did and it was positive at 5am right before I went to wor . - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I'm a Certified Nurse Midwife which makes being pregnant a little different because my whole job is knowing about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Husband of 8yrs, one DS who turned 4 in August, 5 goats, and 3 dogs (all outdoors)
Hi there! I'm so happy to be joining this BMB with all of you. If everything goes as planned, this will be my second baby. I have a 3 year old son and was a member on the Sept 2016 BMB. I loved it though I mostly was a lurker. I'm trying to come out of the shadows this time around.
EDD - My estimated due date is June 23rd.
How you found out - My husband and I have been trying for a few months but our timing has been bad so I wasn't expecting anything. I decided to take a test early because why not. Didn't see anything the first minute and figured I test again in a few days. I left the bathroom for a few minutes then came back in to brush my teeth and there were two very visible lines. No squinting at all. I was very surprised.
Hobbies, Job, Etc -I work in marketing at a big corporation. It pays the bills but I have no work life balance so that's kind of a bummer. My hobbies are photography, being lazy/watching Netflix and hanging out with my husband and son. I was a competitive horseback rider but horses have taken a backseat since I took this job.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - My husband and I have been married for a little over 5 years. He's a cop in a big city. His job scares me, but he loves it. We have a 3 year old son and a 9 year old rescue dog.
I can't wait to get to know you all better! Congratulations everyone!
@MaximumEffort yeah with two we have “man to man coverage” but 3 just feels really overwhelming right now.
That's where a lot of my worry comes from. Like, when the 3 year old is losing his shit, he needs to be fireman carried out of somewhere, but what if he's melting down, and I have an infant in carrier, and my (then) almost 2 year old is trying to walk away???
Time for kid leashes. Lol, not kidding.
Also, we have a boy and a girl already. For the first time, I literally have zero gender preference. None at all.

Me 29 DH 33 Married 10/2016 TTC since 04/2019 BFP 10/12/2019, estimated 6 weeks EDD 06/07/2020
Hello everyone! Due date is 6/19/2020 based on LMP.
I was a day or two late starting my period, and I was in denial. My husband was traveling, and asked if I started yet. I took that as a sign to go to the dollar store to get my trusty $1 pee test. Bright line appeared! Husband was on a plane, so I told my sister in law first.
My son just turned 7. Daughter will be 5 next week. I was so excited they were both going to be in school all day next year, and I could take classes for my bachelors degree. I couldnt decide between the in person at USF or online at UF. But now I'll have a baby! So I will be applying for the online degree. Lol.
My husband and I have been together for 12 years. Married 7. He is a musician, and travels a lot. Its been tough since we moved away from my grandma, who would help watch the kids.
I have my Biology A.A. and I am taking classes for Biotechnology A.S. I will be transferring into UF for molecular and cell biology. I love anything that has to do with reproductive science/genetics. I teach childbirth education for a local homebirth midwifery practice. I already told my midwife.
I was sad at first. Changes are hard for me. I plan things out years in advance. But it is exciting. The kids are older and will be so much more helpful. I know they will love it. I want to keep this time a surprise for gender again. We didn't find out with our son. It was the greatest thing, hearing my husband say, 'its a boy! I have a son!'
So so happy to be here! I first found out I was pregnant at the beginning of September after 7 months of trying. Sadly it ended just a few days later and it sucked. But we decided that as soon as my cycle came back, we’d TTC harder than ever before. Long story short, I felt the urge to take a test last week (even though I wasn’t sure I’d even ovulated in the last 4 weeks) and it was positive. Got blood work done on Wednesday which confirmed it!
I’m not 100% sure that I believe the O date fertility friend gave me, but as of right now I’m going with an EDD of June 22.
I’m 26 and my husband is 28. We have 2 dogs, a bearded dragon, and 6 chickens. We live in a rural area in BC, Canada but are hoping to buy property with 5+ acres within the next few years (basically whenever the right property is available!). He drives a logging/lowbedding truck and I work as meat inspector for the government.
We’re both very wary and afraid after our experience last month, but I’m trying to enjoy being pregnant and take things day by day. My mom turns 50 on June 16th so I’m so excited that she’ll get her first grandchild for her birthday.
- June 15th - Suspected a few days after ovulation since I was having huge temp spikes! It seemed like FOREVER till I could take a HPT! - Reading, Orangetheory, Librarian - Husband and I live in the midwest with our crazy chocolate lab and tabby cat - So excited and terrified at the same time - this will be our first
- EDD: June 4th - How you found out: Went to the hospital with chest pain and anxiety. Everything turned out fine, but surprise! The nurse came back after they did blood work and asked if I was pregnant, then informed me I was. We had JUST started trying so I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon! - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work in a university library and am in the middle of my masters degree in library and information science. I'm also a writer and I read a lot. My husband and I love to travel (just went on our last couple-only trip for awhile to England and Scotland), watch TV shows together, and play Legend of Zelda games. We live in Central Florida and spend a lot of time at the theme parks so it's killing me not being able to go on so many of the rides for the next 8 months! - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Just me and my husband! We've been married a little over 6 years.
Hello fellow Librarian! My husband and I just went to Scotland this summer - missing the gorgeous landscapes and wonderful people.
Hi ladies! My estimated due date is June 21st (this is also my wedding anniversary 😂)
If ound out I was pregnant last night! I had my suspicions anyway, but what made me buy the test was the fact I was crying while watching cartoons with my daughter. Weepiness is very out if character for me and I just couldn't stop crying!
I am a SAHM to my wonderful 2 year old daughter. I've been married to my husband for 5 years. We do have an angel baby that I ended up misscarrying last month. We also have a mini Australian Shepherd puppy named daisy ❤️ I love to read, hang out with my family, take naps and I dabble some in sketching and painting.
I'm excited to be on this journey and I can't wait to get to know you all!
- How you found out: Took a test mostly on a whim, as I was totally certain I wasn't pregnant, but figured it couldn't hurt since I thought my period was a few days late (not totally unusual, though later I realized that I got the expected date of period wrong so it actually wasn't supposed to happen yet) and was planning to go to a bar to watch football where I knew I'd want a few beers. Was totally shocked, may have yelled a few expletives. The line was super dark in under 30 seconds, I actually took a second test just to be sure (same result). We've been trying for 15 months andhad already had my uterus play some pranks on me (in June I was utterly positive I was pregnant while away for work, I learned how to ask for a pregnancy test in Polish and was completely confused/depressed when it was negative) so I was starting to get discouraged. I'm also 34, so getting near the dreaded "over 35" age bracket.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I'm an economist, mostly focusing on international trade policy, so I'm all about the data. Complete irony that the one month that I don't religiously track my period/ovulation (yes, I have 3 separate apps to do so) is the month I get pregnant. As for hobbies, I like cooking, traveling, reading, and paddling (i.e. kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating).
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: Been married for just over 2 years, though together for 7. This is our first, though we do have an incredibly spoiled and clingy 12-year-old cat.
- Anything you’d like us to know: Not gonna lie, the 72-hour wait until I could post was *killing* me. I get the reason why, but I had so many random questions/thoughts/fears/hopes and no one to subject them to, gah! (Ok, maybe my husband, but trying to not burn him out just yet...) Trying to wait until my 8-week appointment to tell our parents and then 12 weeks for everyone else. Just in time for the holidays!
June 11th, 2020 I wasn’t having any symptoms, but I was one day late on my period. I did a test and it was positive. I’ve never tried to get pregnant before and I just couldn’t believe it. Anyone else crazy enough to do five tests “just to make sure”?
I’m a social worker on two different crisis teams. Long days, which are hitting me hard with this fatigue!
I have a partner of four years and we have a cat together so far. I think we are both pretty eager/anxious about this! He’s been on the fence about children and I have been as well up until a couple of years ago.
I’m really excited! It’s hard to keep a secret. I four people in total know all together. We are going to tell our families at Christmas. Until then, I’m just trying to do everything I can to stay healthy and keep growing babe healthy too.
@knottiec0a8a9e88dc77600 I was crazy too. 😆 I took 4 tests just to make sure they were all positive lol. I agree with you. It is very hard to keep a secret.
Two words: double stroller. Strap those kiddos in, ply them with snacks as needed and it helps a ton!!! Oh, and shop at stores where they have a double seat at the top of the cart and strap the older two in. Seriously, buckles and snacks = lifesaver. Lol
Hi ladies! I can't believe I'm posting here... I'm soooo excited as well as terrified...
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): June 11 based on an early ultrasound yesterday!
- How you found out: I was feeling really tired and missed my period which isn't unusual for me. Took a test (or 6 of them...) and was positive! I waited the longest 6 hours of my life for my husband to get home!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work in corporate world as a training consultant and finished my master's last year. Hubby is an engineer for a cereal company (3 free boxes A DAY!). We love the outdoors (camping, tubing, biking...) but we are also nerdy... we play PokemonGo and have a Valerian Steel Jon Snow Sword in our entertainment room. We love baking and decorating for holidays (3 full-sized Christmas trees last year!). I love crafts and watching The Golden Girls!
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: my husband and I "dated" when we were 12 & 11... took a 15ish year hiatus and started dating again after reconnecting through Facebook! We've been together for a few years, own our home in MN, have three large dogs, and were married on Sept 14th of this year! We were actually using the pill but I missed a day around my wedding (so so chaotic) and wouldn't ya know... we are 30 & 29 but were the ones who always heard "there's never going to be a good time..." so it's nice that my body just decided for us. We are terrified (being our first) but we both know we're ready and overall, we're ecstatic.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 : I still can't believe it is real! I thought we'd be looking at infertility treatments over time because I have PCOS, a dysfunctional fallopian tube, and have had 2 surgeries for endometriosis. I felt like my body had it in for me which is why I was lucky enough to get an early ultrasound. For all you ladies that have crazy bodies... there IS hope!
We did a reciprocal IVF (high fives @KristiMcqueen !) with the transfer on October 11. Tomorrow is the beta and I held out to POAS until this morning, when we got a definitive positive! We are so so thrilled.
I'm an elementary music teacher too, just like @kavidiwan ! So I guess we can make up silly songs for you all about the absurdities of gestation.
My husband is trans (we froze his eggs before he starting taking testosterone a few years ago). We married this past August, but we've been together for 3 years. I have a 4yo daughter from a previous marriage, and we also have two big ol' brown rescue pups.
It's been 5 years since I've been on the Bump, but it's good to be back.
Tentatively posting here since we got a BFP on a HPT, but waiting for betas to come back. Last time I got beta results same day, this time I have to wait until Monday!
Good to see some familiar names here!
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): June 23, but last time was induced at 36/37 weeks. Planning to be better prepared this time!
- How you found out: H convinced me to POAS a few days before missed AF, and what do you know?! We had started TTGP this cycle and are shocked but thrilled that this time we get to be the SS!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc: Work in finance for startups. Love reading, baking and decorating for the holidays, and family time. I am also running my first half marathon in 2 weeks!
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: H and I have been married 8 years, we have a 2 yr old Bernese fluffbaby, and a 20 month daughter who is the center of our world.
- Anything you’d like us to know: AMA here! Last pregnancy went fairly smoothly with the exception of nausea until week 32 and the early induction, hoping this one is just as good and maybe the AMA status will get me some extra ultrasounds of the babe!
@MaximumEffort yeah with two we have “man to man coverage” but 3 just feels really overwhelming right now.

Yeah, that already almost doesn't work most of the time. 3 year old insists on walking so much of the time, and flips out if he gets strapped into stroller.
I *do* love that Aldi (smart local grocery store), Costco, and Home Depot have carts for 2 kids, but only Target has carts for 3.
Might have to stop shopping at Walmart entirely, their carts only seat 1. But adding the 3 means I'm wearing baby early on, and then around 5 months if I'm ready to finally stop dealing with that for every single errand (I hate the in/out of car while baby wearing) I generally have to let big kid walk.
Also, double stroller is something I can't lift into car myself until probably 5/6 months postpartum. It's great to use from our house, but it's a jogger and weighs 50 lbs by itself. It doesn't do errands, or shopping, or really inside anywhere. Our single has a rumble seat, so that's less of an issue and still mostly holds two kids...but again, the third kid problem. I need a trailer for our wagon!!!!

@ramzlau I'm AMA, too. It's weird. I don't think of myself of being "old" but apparently for this stage of life I am. This is my first for AMA status. I'm curious what they will say at my first appointment and if it will mean anything extra.
@diagonalley For where we live I definitely don’t feel like an “older” mom, maybe slightly above average, but my obgyn has already ordered extra tests (progesterone, beta) because of it, so we will see how it goes!
How you found out I was 1 day late! I was also getting some lower back pain so I took a test and there it was! Told my husband that day. Hid the test in his shoe so when we were getting ready to head out for the night he saw it. Got it on film and his reaction was priceless!
Hobbies, Job, Etc.
High school English teacher and lacrosse coach. Love running, baking, and Lifetime. Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies
We have a goldendoodle fur-baby, Ellie. Hubs and I have been together for 6 years and married for 2. We grew up 2 doors down from each other 🤗 We’re nervous about this pregnancy after suffering a loss at 7 weeks in July, but we’re hopeful that this one will stick! 🙂
I'm so excited about this pregnancy, as much as I'm terrified. I found out last Monday when I felt like my period had been coming since Friday but had nothing to show for it. We've been working with a fertility clinic and were basically told our option would be IVF. Because of that, I was desperately waiting on my period to contact them so we could move forward with treatment planning. I took a test quickly to just be sure and was shocked to see a blazing positive. I assumed it was wrong and went out to buy another test to be sure. Sure enough, it was an undeniable positive!!!
I'm a middle school teacher who constantly hears from her students it's time for me to have kids. They'll be thrilled when we get to the point of sharing! I also love hiking and kayaking, enjoying bonfires, and am working on taking up gardening. I am a huge traveler, though I know this will change a little now.
My husband and I celebrate our second anniversary tomorrow and couldn't be more thrilled. Our nine-year-old lab-boxer mix will probably disagree with us a little on that, though!
Honestly, I'm terrified of losing this baby because of how long we've been trying and because of my consultations with the fertility specialist. I had a doctor's appointment on Friday to check hormone levels just to be safe and got a call saying everything looks great and that there's no need to repeat any blood tests, so that's positive. And if my symptoms say anything about this pregnancy sticking, I should be good!
So grateful to have a community of ladies during this exciting time of change!
Hello! This is our first! Completely, 100% a surprise. not unwanted just unexpected. We got married in August but have been together 7 years.
EDD is June 15!
i found out because i didn’t feel right; super tired, crampy, and sick to my stomach all. day. long.. We drove to the store down the street and bought a test and it was clear as day!
I’m finishing up my Masters in speech pathology! Luckily, I’m finished with classes in December and have my externship in the spring and due after graduation!
- EDD 6/19/20 - How you found out: a friend recently gave me a bunch of ovulation and pregnancy tests because she knew my husband and I were TTC. I decided to take a pregnancy test on a whim at 11 dpo and was surprised to see a faint line! I took a series of 7 more tests over the past week, just to confirm this is really happening! - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: self-employed artist - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My husband and I recently celebrated our 6 year anniversary and we have one eskie furbaby.
I'm tentatively posting in after my BFP today on a HPT. 😍 EDD 26 June 2020.
We have been TFAS trying for a year and I've been charting. I hadn't tested yet because I wasn't sure of the ovulation date FF gave me and I'm one week away from turning in my masters thesis and figured I didn't need the distraction. But I felt kind of off today and thought I might as well... What a happy surprise.
I'm 39 and DH is 37. We have one son, who turns 2 in less than a month. *TW* We struggled for almost 5yrs to get pregnant with our first and it was hard to feel like it was "real" until well into 2nd tri. Part of that tentativeness came immediately back when I saw two pink lines. FX everything works out. */TW*
My D17 BMB is still active as a Facebook group and we're gearing up to celebrate the kids'second birthdays. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
Sticky bean dust, and I'm hoping for happy & healthy pregnancies for you all! -K
Hello mama's! I am in my 5th week of pregnancy. This is my first baby and I am beyond excited. My estimated due date is June 18th, and that will be confirmed at my first doctors appointment on November 6th. I am married and have a 5 year old step son, a dog and 3 cats. My husband acts like he's a pro at all this baby stuff since he has done it before, which makes me even more nervous and scared cause I am absolutely clueless!! But we are both extremely happy and excited and so many other good feelings. Btw, I am 28 years old and live in western North Carolina. I love to sew and crochet so I'm ready to start working on all the baby projects. I found out I was pregnant simply because my period was late and we haven't been trying to prevent pregnancy for a couple months, so I took a test and it was positive. Anyone else in my area and around my age? I'd love a group of ladies to get to know well and eventually have baby play dates and stuff with.

I wasn’t having any symptoms, but I was one day late on my period. I did a test and it was positive. I’ve never tried to get pregnant before and I just couldn’t believe it. Anyone else crazy enough to do five tests “just to make sure”?
EDD: June 28th
@kiki75 Hi! Congrats!

How you found out
I was 1 day late! I was also getting some lower back pain so I took a test and there it was! Told my husband that day. Hid the test in his shoe so when we were getting ready to head out for the night he saw it. Got it on film and his reaction was priceless!

We’re nervous about this pregnancy after suffering a loss at 7 weeks in July, but we’re hopeful that this one will stick! 🙂
My EDD is June 21, 2020 with my first!
So grateful to have a community of ladies during this exciting time of change!
i found out because i didn’t feel right; super tired, crampy, and sick to my stomach all. day. long.. We drove to the store down the street and bought a test and it was clear as day!
We have a rescue dog who keeps us on our toes!
- How you found out: a friend recently gave me a bunch of ovulation and pregnancy tests because she knew my husband and I were TTC. I decided to take a pregnancy test on a whim at 11 dpo and was surprised to see a faint line! I took a series of 7 more tests over the past week, just to confirm this is really happening!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: self-employed artist
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My husband and I recently celebrated our 6 year anniversary and we have one eskie furbaby.
