  • Hahahahaha oops
  • This doesn’t really go here but I’ve been thinking about it since Friday, I’m not sure if my “team green” has been blown. So when I went in for my bad cramping on Friday they couldn’t find the HB on the Doppler and since I was cramping badly the OB grabbed an ultrasound machine (not my OB just the one on call at the hospital). Afterwards he was telling me how perfect everything was and I was talking about how active the baby is compared to my daughter. He then said, “so your first was a girl and this is a boy” to which I said, “ I don’t know, we didn’t find out”, he then said, “people usually find out”. So I’m not sure if he basically told me the gender or if he just assumed it was a boy based on the fact that I said “my daughter”. I’ve been trying to forget it but I felt guilty so I told DH about the conversation. Any thoughts? I don’t think he saw anything on the ultrasound but could the gender be in my file or am I just overthinking this ?
  • @lifeislove87 it’s really hard to say. It’s a 50/50 shot either way. If this one IS born a boy, you’re probably always going to think he blew it even if he actually didn’t.
  • @cmjenkies I completely agree with you. Oh well, I’m going to prep the boy and girl clothes anyways
  • @lifeislove87 I specifically asked if they put anything in the chart after the anatomy scan and she told me no because the doctors have big mouths. Not sure if that is what everyone does but hoping so for your case! It’s annoying that you even have to double think it now !
  • @nursemom913 good to know, I have another ultrasound next week so I’ll ask the tech
  • @lifeislove87 , the tech I had said they note the sex regardless of us being team green and that the MW would have to keep the secret. I think every place is different.
  • @sonicearplugs sorry about the pelvic rest, I’ve been on pelvic rest most of my pregnancy and it does seriously suck. Definitely makes you appreciate sex
  • @sonicearplugs I'm sorry you got undesirable news right before vacation. I had a partial previa with my DD, and it had resolved itself by 32 weeks. The pelvic rest is definitely difficult.
  • @sonicearplugs- ugh I am so sorry. I hear you. I got diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage early in this pg and was on pelvic rest for a while including during our big relaxing summer vacation to northern Michigan beaches.  LAAAAAME.
  • I feel so sad for those who have had to have pelvic rest for so long! I honestly haven't had much of a sex drive until recently, so thats the main reason why I'm feeling so disappointed. Double bummer now for my husband, too!
  • @sonicearplugs I was on pelvic rest the vast majority (like 12 weeks-35 weeks) of my pregnancy with DS due to placenta previa and it was a pain in the ass. Then with this one I was on pelvic rest for like 4 weeks due to the SCH I had. It's the worst because inevitably when you're not allowed to have sex/exercise is when you want to do those things the most.
  • Im on pelvic rest as of last week... don't mind it.  I mentioned to dh about people feeling bad for their partners... he said "they can take care of themselves"  ehmmm, is that what youve been doing after i go to bed?? :D
  • @cass06_07 I said that to my DH too, but he said he feels worse for me. Although mine has been upgraded to MBR so now even I feel bad for me
  • @cass06_07 my H only got laid once in the entire 40 weeks last time because I just didn’t want to. He took long showers. I took over the tv while he was in there. Everyone got what they wanted.  :D
    Same here! Haha
  • @hannahbananas11 - a week before my AS I wavered too! Basically for the same reason. I _feel_ like it's a girl and wanted confirmation (or the opposite!) but the feeling passed and now I'm happily still team green. I figure I can always find out later if I really really want to but I've wanted to be team green for a lot longer than I've wanted to know so I better not make a rash decision.
  • @hannahbananas11 I always have a moment of weakness around the AS, in my first pregnancy I had completely changed my mind and wanted to find out until my husband reminded me I had convinced my sister in law (due at the same time) not to find out. Of course either way is still a wonderful surprise
  • @becks_726 and @lifeislove87 those are really good points. I have been team green for a long time, and so has H. And it is one of those things that I can always change my mind later and find out, but once I find out I can't go back. I'll try to hold fast! :D
  • @casperthefriendlybeeb- that totally sound a like panic and I relate to having felt that way in advance of mine!
  • @casperthefriendlybeeb Wow, that sounds scary and uncomfortable. I'm glad the doctor was able to check you and give you the all-clear.
