Guys, I'm still in the FB debate with myself! I'm thinking maybe I'll just set something up, only friend DH and then only use it to stay with you guys... Is there a way to make it so private that I won't come up in like the suggested friends or search? Sigh, I hate FB, but love you guys!
@Kfrob I think you can limit it to not show up in search and such. And if you only have DH friended and don't enter personal info, it shouldn't show up as often anyway. We miss you!!

@KFrob yes, you can absolutely limit yourself from being searchable. The only way that gets overridden is if you have a mutual friend (so if we both shared a friend, I'd be able to see you.) I'd also recommend just using first name and middle initial or name - no need to put up your full name. If you'd like to try to pilot it (again, you can always delete!), I, or any one of the admins, can help you test out privacy settings and joining the group, etc, to make sure you've got it setup the way you'd like. No pressure, either way, but we'd certainly miss you!
FWIW I’m still struggling to make Facebook feel as much of a community as this board did! But I think I need to just invest time to get familiar with it. It seems like a good group is forming.
@rc-cola I've felt that way too, but thought it might be because I'm having difficulty putting real names with screen names and pictures etc.. I've been thinking of putting a list on my phone (on my shopping list app) so I can flip over and maybe figure out who is who. I'm also terrible with names so there's that too.
@rc-cola that's been my biggest struggle as well, and honestly for me it's just getting to reknow everyone. I'm getting better connecting dots with people but it's still going to take me a little time too. I'm actually glad we moved earlier than we originally intended though so I can re learn who everyone is as babies come!
I’m beginning to settle into the rhythm of Facebook. I figured out who the dozen or so people are that I really enjoyed conversations with over here, and am just getting to reknow everyone else kind of organically.
@hellopartyof5 I do go on there and read to refresh myself on that every now and then! The only problem being, I have to go out of the thread I'm reading to look someone up. I was thinking if it was a separate app I could bounce back and forth and not lose my place. I use my list app for lots of stuff besides groceries.
Uggggghhhh, I did the FB thing. I set up an account, started to look though all of the privacy and security stuff, I got overwhelmed, panicked and deleted it. I think I have FB PTSD. I'm also not having a great morning physically or emotionally so maybe I'll revisit it when I'm feeling better.
