Hi All. I'm due with #2 5/8. My daughter is about to turn two, and #2 was a bit of a surprise. We did want two kids eventually, so I guess it's just happening sooner as expected. We also just moved to the Netherlands, and my first pregnancy and birth was in the US, so things are very very different here. It makes me a bit anxious. I think I found a lovely midwife practice, and my first appointment will be in the second week of October, since I'll be visiting family in Germany the next 3 weeks ❤
@boymama2030 hello, fellow Wisconsin mama! I’m in the La Crosse area but have family in the Janesville/Edgerton area!
@ska8471 5th grade is a super fun age! My 4th graders are new to my building (are elementary is K-3 with an intermediate school of 4-5) so it feels a lot like starting over! Are you just taking materinity leave from your due date until the end of the year?
Hello! It looks like i'm due May 6th! I'm a STM and my DD just turned 2 in August. Didn't expect this but so happy since I only just had my first period since pregnancy a couple months ago! haha. Excited!
Hi! I just got my BFP a bit early (tomorrow would be my missed period). I thought something was up, because I just couldn't seem to recover from a stomach bug that hit our house a couple of weeks ago.
My husband and I have been married for five years, and we have one daughter who is almost 2. I was semi-active in her BMB (October 2016). I work full time in marketing for a university, but I am also in school part-time to become a history teacher. Lots going on over here!
ETA: According to my very scientific google search efforts , I'm due May 22. First ultrasound in 10/4.
**TW** I had a chemical pregnancy loss at 5 weeks right before my daughter. Trying to be cautious and not get my hopes up too much!
Hi ladies! I was SO hesitant to join this board, but I think it's time!
My hubby and I have been married for 12yrs and have struggled with infertility for 10/12 of those years.
**TW**
We've had eight losses, eleven IVF cycles. From those, we do have a 2 1/2 year old son who is my world.
We just had our fourth IVF cycle this year and it was a success! I'm officially 6w3d with a PGS-tested girl who had a heartbeat on ultrasound today!

Hey Mommas!! Found out last Thursday we are pregnant with #3! I had An ectopic and emergency surgery back in June so I am extremely nervous!! Had blood work drawn yesterday Hgc at 290 and having it redrawn tomorrow
I just found out on Saturday September 8th that I am expecting! Ive been on provera for 6 months to induce periods because I have PCOS. I actually went to the Dr on August 22 to get a refill and they done blood work to make sure I wasn't pregnant. Started the provera on the 23rd for 10 days. And I've ALWAYS started my period within 3 days of stopping the meds. Well Saturday was 7 days and still no period. Took a test got a BFP so I took another one on Sunday the 9th. We went to the Dr yesterday to get everything confirmed and Dr says that I'm around 2 weeks pregnant. Super excited. I have a 3 year old son of my own and I have a 3 year old stepson, so this will be our first baby together. I'm so excited!! I hope everyone has wonderful pregnancy!!
Hi! My name is Meghan, and I’m 31. My husband and I live in Georgia and have a son who just turned 2 at the end of August. According to ovulation tests, we may have conceived on my son’s birthday!
I’m cautiously introducing myself because I’m not sure I’ve technically missed my period just yet; however, I have had positive tests for the past 3 days. *TW: I had a CP in July*, so I’m trying my best to stay positive and not worry too much! My estimated due date is May 22nd.
My son was an August ‘16 baby, and I mostly just lurked on his birth month board. I loved all of the helpful information because as a first time Mom, I needed all the help I could get! This will more than likely be my last baby, so I’d like to be more involved. I usually “bump” on my phone, and I don’t know how to gif, so please feel free to help me along the way! I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

I am in Canada, so I can take up to 18 months (12 paid). I will likely be able to go off a couple weeks early with pay from work using sick days and be off from early May 2019 to September 2020. I considered doing the full 18 months but going back at the start of a school year makes the most sense. I'll see how I'm feeling later on, may want those extra months.
@ska8471 maybe I need to move to Canada! I have to use my sick and personal days to get full pay during maternity leave and short term disability to get partial pay during the rest! I’m only taking my EDD-June 7 (end of the school year). 18 months sounds like a dream!
Don’t mind me.. I really don’t know how to bump. I’m not sure how to delete my comment, but apparently my username didn’t update. If somehow it does, megsb615 would be me.
@strickland8052 Yay! I was wondering if anyone from Georgia was in here! I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited not to go though the 3rd trimester in the summer!

Do you get topped up by your board for the 12 months? I wonder how that works if you wanted to take the government 18 months at 33%. I'm new to working for a school board and think the legal mumbo jumbo in my union's collective agreement means I get topped up, but I have considered taking the 18 months because daycare is soooo much cheaper after 18 months.

Hello— I’m new to the Bump so I dont know all the acronyms yet. This is my 2nd pregnancy. Had a miscarriage in July around 8 weeks. Didn’t plan to get pregnant again this soon but God has a plan and I’ll trust it. I’m about 5 weeks now. Things are looking up. Having some morning sickness this go around i didnt have last time. My HCG >26,000 today but progesterone is low. Trying vagina supplements?? I’ll take any advice. Thanks
I’m so glad to be here! This will be baby #1 for me. I’ve calculated my due date to be between May 19-20 (my positive OPK didn’t quite line up with my temp shift the way it usually does, making me think I may have ovulated earlier), so I’ll go with May 20 for now. It seems so far away!
FTM and new to TB. Looking forward to connecting with others on this journey. DD is 5/13, yay MayBaby! I’m 35, live in PDX and have two Dane pups. I’m very much a control freak so anticipating this is going to be a huge life lesson for me in addition to regular pregnancy learning.
Hello all! I’ve been lurking and not planning on introducing myself so soon, but I see there are a lot of strong pgal ladies on here so I’m feeling a little more brave. I was moderately active on the D13 board.
I’m 33, from MN and work as a 911 dispatcher. I have a 4.5yo daughter and have been with my SO for 11 years. About 4w3d along!
**TW** this will be my 4th pregnancy. One early/natural loss before my daughter and a MMC in April at 9 weeks, opted for D&C at 10 weeks. After testing learned I have really low progesterone so was rx’d Clomid and progesterone, one month of trying and here I am.
@ska8471 I’m incredibly jealous of your maternity leave. I would be in heaven! I feel like this LO is coming at the perfect time for a US teacher though. I plan to take off from baby-day through the end of the year and then the first month of the school year. That would be May 7th-ish through end of September - so, about 5 months. I will get the ball rolling for a sub for those first couple days of the next year, but I plan to be out until at least Sept. 30...if we can swing it, which I don’t think we will at the moment, I might try to go through October too. FX DH gets a massive raise in the next 9 months so we can stockpile some cash to take us through Halloween. I’d love a 6 month maternity leave.
@mrskoz428 I’m super jealous of that as well. I have 25ish days accrued at the moment and another 11 of sick leave. Seriously hoping between that and the 17 days between PTO and sick leave that I get at the beginning of next school year will carry me through September comfortably. I used all my days accrued before on my maternity leave with DS when he was born in Dec2016. Thankful for summer break... FX!
