@SingleGeneMe I'm so sorry. That is heartbreaking to have four in a row. Take care of yourself. My RE said he's ok with doing medicated cycles back to back - but I don't know if that's the norm?
@LynnNJ We did have a chat early on about posting results and if you can't do the spoiler I think we agreed it would be ok - but do indicate a **TW** before - particularly if it's good news - Which we all Really want to see for you!!! Sadly we've seen too many disappointments this month xx
@northbeach3 That 7dpt definitely looks darker!!! FX <3 - And I work in computer science - I look into the creative side of AI, which can get very philosophical - asking can computers be creative? - that's my main field. It's really interesting in theory but I was responding to reviewers this week who all disagreed with me and disagreed with each other!! Ugh indeed! It's really hard to deal with such things when you're in this mind-space - I should just go back to coding!!

Thanks for the good wishes! I'm getting ready to leave and I'm so nervous now   I really hope the valium helps cos I found  my last FET so painful
Incidentally with the time difference I often refer to it being the wrong day! I checked and I'm 8 hours ahead of Vegas here and I often post early in the morning - so I can be wishing good luck 'today' while @northbeach3 is
still in 'last night'  **I'm speaking to you from the fuuuuutuuuuuuuurrrrree**
Ok now I'm being silly to try to calm myself
I'll chat to you guys from the other side <3<3

Lol @roisis did you already take the Valium? Well best of luck from the past!!! Very cool to hear about your research. Have you been following Silicon Valley on HBO this season? They just had their season finale but a few of the episodes were about that crazy true to life robot lady. Don’t remember her name. Didn’t realize she was “real” but think I saw a magazine cover with her on it. Hope DH had a good bday.

Afm, it’s 6am. Blood draw in two hours. Don’t know what to think. Started getting a headache last night and just feel off today. Mentally preparing for a cp but hoping life proves me wrong.

@sungirl39 I responded fine to synthetic estrogen. I can't due a fresh cycle, because I have to have my embryos PGS/PGD tested which takes 2 weeks for my specific gene. So, I would just do a freeze-all to get more embryos for future FETs. Also, during my natural transfer cycles it only took 2-3 days for my period to start after the last day of progesterone suppositories. I don't know if it takes longer with PIO on a medicated transfer cycle. I noticed that yesterday before even stopping meds there was tiny amount of brown spotting. That makes me wonder if my hormones were even at the correct levels, since they weren't checked at all during the last couple of weeks. Normally I have to go in for blood tests until my HCG was zero, but this time the nurse just said to stop meds and call on cycle day 1. It's so hard emotionally (and inconvenient!) to go in for blood tests when you know you aren't pregnant anymore. I had to have DH come with me yesterday because I was a sobbing mess in the morning.

@sungirl39 Oh yes, also my cramping was never very bad before my period for any of my chemical pregnancies. I actually always get really bad cramping at night around 8dpt or 9dpt --- and then my HPTs get lighter from there, so the cramping happens before I even stop meds.

@SingleGeneMe sending you lots of hugs!! Take all the time you need!!

i'm really sorry you're going through this a fourth time, @singlegeneme. i'm glad you had your DH with you.  i've tried to convey to my DH how hard it is and how I wish he would check in on me/my emotions... he says he doesn't like to b/c it makes me upset, but i try to tell him that i appreciate being able to confide in him and knowing he knows how i'm feeling is reassuring.  i'll need to give him that reminder b/c it's been so up and down for me lately.

@roisis i hope you're in a valium induced slumber and have your socks on!  thinking of you today.

    @mrsyng hows 6dpt?

    afm, hcg update:

up to 23.4 hcg - the doubling calculators estimated 25-26 hour doubling time.

now to wait out the long weekend with next beta on Wed.  RE said he's hoping for 200 range.

now to head to walmart to pull a @mrsyng and buy all the HPTs. ;)

mental status: cautiously positive with a hint of perpetual anxiety.

@northbeach3 I watched earlier seasons of Silicon Valley but don't actually have HBO so I haven't seen recent ones. I've heard of that robot though, I believe some of the reports over-sensationalise what she can do (when do they not!!!) but still very cool :)
I'm so happy your hcg is rising!! I can completely understand caution - but it's looking good <3<3<3
@mrsyng Those lines are looking sooooo good! And you have plenty more tests to get yourself through the weekend :)

I just had a seriously long sleep :) I'm back in to my clinic on 6th June (I'm better writing it this way cos 6/5 is just 6th May to me!!). My clinic is still a bit different - I've to go in 12dpt for bloods and if my hcg is >150 they don't take me back but if it is <150 they take me back in 2 days later. I'm going to try to stay away from hpts until next weekend.

AFM - I've been lurking this past week, mostly following everyone here but I just had to take a break [read: piano recitals] and get my mind off all the waiting.  Finished my Lupron injections today, start progesterone supp tomorrow.  Still just hanging out waiting until transfer next Thursday.

Thanks @ASabelko All the waiting to get going can be so frustrating, taking a break is probably a good idea for your own sake <3 Congrats on finishing the Lupron, are you taking Crinone gel - or some other option? I actually found I had another strong mood swing when I started progesterone - so watch out for that!!

I got the call earlier today that I'm pregnant! I'm happy, but not really telling many people other than immediate family  I never got that celebratory feeling from DH, which was almost expected  He's a good dad to our son and wants another child, but he wants to wait until we get past the first trimester. He couldn't understand why his lack of reaction upset me. I mean, I'm cautious to celebrate too, but for the sake of our marriage, I wanted a moment with him before he went into the next topic. So frustrating, but that's how he is. I let him know I was going to be happy while sharing the news with our parents and called them from another room. I'm able to talk to him about the pregnancy, but I really wanted a moment of happiness with him and then we could celebrate publicly once we're ready to announce it.

While I'm very happy  I've got to say that I'm nervous about some things. My last pregnancy went well, but I had a pretty bad scare during the first trimester. Other than that I handled everything well. I'm really nervous about going through a pregnancy with a toddler.

     Anyway, good luck to everyone!

@LynnNJ That's fantastic news!!!! I'm delighted for you <3 So sorry DH isn't giving your the reaction you'd like, I think this is actually quite common. I had the same from my DH the one time I got a positive - I was in complete excited shock - only bfp in 6 years - and he went straight out for a run! He was really happy though, I think they just process it different - I've read other similar stories from women. I think we all logically know that we must remain cautious for the first few weeks, but maybe it's just that it's happening in our bodies we feel the raw excitement more? Anyway, I'm sure he is actually delighted. Congrats and best of luck to you - let us know how you're getting on <3<3

@ASabelko it’ll be any day now, but the long weekend makes everything feel like an eternity. Did lining check go ok?

@LynnNJ that’s wonderful news! Have you had both betas and been given an us date? Husbands can be so void of emotion sometimes! We can all certainly empathize.

    Afm:

The pee sticks are fucking with my mind. 1) I can’t tell if the FRER line is any darker and 2) the wondfo isn’t progressing as quickly as I think it should if I was at 24 on Thursday.  I’m feeling more crampy and my mind is telling me it’s a CP and to stop meds. but the FRER line today is still solid and hasn’t gotten fainter...but don’t know that it’s gotten darker.

Its really stressing me out so I’m gonna try to avoid POAS til Monday.

@northbeach3 I think the FRER line looks more solid and once dried will look darker.  And your wondfos seem weird — or maybe it’s mine that are Bc today my wondfo is darker than my FRER - why can’t they just be consistent??  I also think you had a fast doubling rate initially so maybe it slowed a bit the past couple of days to level out and will now rise at a normal rate.  Either way, if it’s stressing you out and you can — def wait to test anymore.  You’re pregnant right now so try to enjoy it!!

@northbeach3 I'm so sorry you're stressing, if you can I'd really try to stay away from those tests for a few days - it's not giving you any clear information and the stress of them can't be good for you. As @mayflower513
says - you are pregnant! I think the FRER does look more stable, but you'll drive yourself mad looking at them! Are you going in for another Beta?

Ugh, I'm hiding in my bedroom from DH's 40th bday party. 30 of our closest friends downstairs getting pissed at this stage. Normally I'd be having a laugh with them but I can't wait for it to be over. I've held it together well for 5 hours now, keeping busy with the hostessing. But it's getting to the messier stage of the night, all the drivers and sober people have gone now - we're left with the ones who are here for a session, and for some reason everyone keeps asking me if I'm 'ok??' Which is making me think I'm not being the best of fun. I just feel a bit sad, I thought I was hiding it but I guess I'm not.
Right, better put my smiley face on for another hour or so. I'd say it's ok for me to politely go to bed around 1.
    Sorry for moaning xxx

@roisis (((hugs))) I totally get your frustration!! At this stage of TTC...I think we tend to be more on edge that usual. Maybe it's the crazy hormones... I always feel like I'm stuck between the people that are wild party animals and one's with a bunch if kids. We rescheduled our double date tonight b/c the couple couldn't get a sitter and wanted to bring their 1 year old. I just couldn't handle it and needed a grownup night. So in lieu of it all...we are doing a stay-cation tomorrow night to help relieve some stress so maybe I won't be such a bitter betty lol Hope your night gets better!! Hopefully, there won't be too much mess for you to clean <3

Thanks @kristimh80 I agree - this is a strange place to be, socially. I think if I was pregnant I wouldn't be so disappointed to miss out on the fun, but it's so frustrating to be in limbo. My best friend was here tonight though and she was (unusually for her) very tipsy and she kept grabbing my hand and saying 'it'll be worth it' and then kissing me - before bursting back into song. Honestly, it was a bit ridiculous, but kinda sweet in a very weird way! I picked myself up and played some card games, and made it to 2:30am before sneaking off to bed. I'm not even tired, but I just want away - the dancing has started!!
And I hate that when you make grown up plans and people think it's ok to bring their babies, I would definitely re-schedule in that case. A stay-cation sounds lovely - enjoy <3<3

@roisis Haha I can imagine what you're going thru! Your best friend sounds sweet, but sure she had a little social ADD tonight after a few drinks  I agree though, if was pregnant, it would feel / seem a lot different for sure. My husband was worried that maybe being on these boards wasn't the best idea anymore. But you are the only girls that "get it" and I'm very appreciative! <3

Best of luck today for a strong beta @mrsyng!

glad things are ready to go @asabelko!

sounds like you know how to throw a party @roisis. I’m sure it was a difficult night to navigate but I’m sure your husband had a grand time.

Afm, beta is not until wed!! *TW*

Waited two days to test. Now 12dpt. FRER getting lighter. No progression on wondfos. Really upset it’s a long weekend bc I just want to get this over with. Part of me wants to go to urgent care to get a confirmation beta so I can get on with my life today. I want to stop meds but would feel bad without hcg confirmation.

Dunno if I’ll have time before our Memorial Day party this afternoon.

@northbeach3 I'm so sorry, that sucks and I can only imagine how frustrating the wait is now. If you can, I'd try to stick with the meds until you get some confirmation. I don't mean to be flippant or raise false hopes, but I always feel it's best to stick with the protocol. Is there any chance your clinic would bring you in tomorrow as you are so anxious? My thoughts are with you <3

Yeah I made an appt for urgent care today and then cancelled. I’m just gonna go to my re’s office in the morning and hope they do the blood draw.

I also decided that I’m not going to accompany my DH to his friends wedding in San Francisco this weekend. I presume I’ll be starting AF sometime around then and I just don’t have any desire to be around his friends or see and have to update my friends.

We have a two week vacation planned at the start of July and while every part of me wants to roll into a new cycle, I just don’t think the timing is good. The rational part of me is saying to enjoy vacation med free and not pg. *sigh*

Hi ladies. I had beta today but won’t get the results until after the 2nd beta. There is progression with poas so I’m hoping for strong doubling numbers on Wednesday. Fx.

    @roisis how are you feeling?

    Lurking.

@northbeach3 I’m sorry.  I do agree with he others that waiting for your beta to stop meds definitely seems best — I hope they can just do the draw today.  And FX the lightening lines is just a fluke.  My wondfos are not progressing either and I’ve found a lot of people on the internet had the same experience with them and it wasn’t always a chemical, just cheap strips.

*lurking* @northbeach3 Gl today - hope you can get a draw done. If I remember correctly, dragonette505 (April FET) also didn't have progressing wondfos but had increasing hcg, so I wouldn't rely solely on those.

@northbeach3 Best of luck today <3 And I completely agree with sitting out that wedding, it can be just too tough being around too many people - and weddings are a minefield for 'What are you doing now?' questions - which can get very inappropriate if people are insensitive.

@mrsyng Good to hear things are progressing - fx for a great result tomorrow.
I'm doing ok, thanks. Honestly I'm not really feeling very well though - just soo tired (which I guess could be a good sign!). I'm not sure whether I'll test at home or not. I originally thought I would at the weekend, but it looks like we're going to visit DH's step-mum, and regardless of what the result is, I'd rather be at home for it. I'm not sure I'll be able to hold out though!!

Hi everyone, I am new to the group. I did my FET on 05/23 and am 6dp5dt. It is my first time and I am a wreck. I don't have my first beta until Friday 6/1, but have done the dreaded POAS even though I knew I shouldn't. I'm seeing some positives, but know that it is so early I could wind up with a chemical. I should have known better than to check prior to my beta because all I am doing is worrying. I am excited to get to know some people going through the same thing. This is excruciating.
