Hi again, I’m so sorry I’m being a totally spazz but I really do appreciate all of your support and admonishments to stay on the meds. I’m kind of a hot mess right now.
I actually didn’t do a suppository last night or this am bc I’m so pessimistic that things are doomed to fail. I drove home after the clinic said I couldn’t do the beta bc I was worried that I was putting too much stock into the wondfos and did another FRER.
13dpt HPT update
Ugh, what a mind fuck this is. Needless to say, I immediately inserted a suppository and will do my E2 shot tonight. My DH reminded me that we can’t control these things which is hard for a control freak like me to hear. I’m working on being more patient. ((
Stay positive!! It's true that we can't control these things, that's why we're taking our medicine and put up with all these damn hormones and side effects - to give us a better chance in a game where we have no control over the main players. Hang in there!!
@northbeach3 no need to apologize. We all get where it’s coming from! Glad to see it darken! Fx for us both tomorrow!! Wait, your 3rd beta is tomorrow right?
@northbeach3 I totally get it. My wondfos aren’t progressing either and my FRER this am was looking a little lighter than the one last night (why did I even do that to myself) and I’ve been all sorts of freaked out. Yay for a darkening line! I think ultimately the tests are all different and not a reliable way to measure hcg. FX for a great 3rd beta tomorrow!

@mrsyng yep, 9:15 am on Wednesday. best of luck to us. trying to take the "que sera sera" approach at this point.
@mayflower513 thanks for sharing your story. i'm sorry you're having to experience the same types of anxiety as me. i don't wish this on anyone. it's truly awful. i was a hot mess this morning and my husband told me to stop peeing on the damn sticks b/c they are causing me more anxiety. on top of having generalized anxiety, i'm also impatient and a control freak. this is a terrible combination for dealing with IF.
@roisis hold out testing if you can! don't want you to be a mad lady like me!
welcome to the board, so glad you came out from hiding @mlhnj23 and @more14! fx for you and the waiting!

@northbeach3 Ugh - I'm so sorry those hpts are messing with your head. That last one definitely does look positive - so I have high hopes for your Beta today - best of luck with that I really think I will take your advice and just stay away from the pee-sticks until next Monday. I know if I take one I won't be able to stop so I'll just wait until after the weekend - this weekend is a long one here, which is why they won't take me in on Monday. Stooooooopid holidays!!!!! I actually don't have any hpts in the hous e- so I'm not buying any.
Welcome @mlhnj23 - you're on a very similar schedule to myself (I transferred 5/24). I completely understand your frustration and anxiety. How are you feeling/holding up?

Hey @mayflower513 - you're also with us in the TWW? I'm so sorry you're having anxiety too - this is the worst. But I definitely agree with your that the home tests are not as reliable as we would like. When are you in for Beta?

@roisis hi! Yes, I am in the May IVF group and had my 5 day transfer on 5/20 — my beta is this morning. I also have OHSS which started last Friday so I’m overall very uncomfortable and can’t tell what’s what for symptoms. I’m so nervous!

@mayflower513 Oh no - I had OHSS my first ivf and I know how uncomfortable that is, mine flared up quickly so it prevented any fresh transfer at the time. And there's not much to relieve the symptoms really (sorry if this is tmi - but I did find prune juice very helpful as 'all' things were blocked up - and this gave some relief). I hope you get some relief soon. And best of luck with Beta results today!!! Make sure you let us know

Good luck to everyone today! You are all amazing, no matter what happens or what results you get today!
At home, in bed, munching on my favorite candy, watching a comedian I like and thinking sticky thoughts. So grateful I decided to take the day off. I don't think my brain could handle work right now. How is everyone else doing?

OMG, I don't think I ever needed to pee like I did during the transfer. They said come with a full bladder so I did, and I'm forever grateful I did not pee on the doctor.
well i'm up to 165.5 on 14dp5dt, up from 23.4 on 8dpt. online doubling calculators put that at 51 hours (2 days/3 hours). RE was *still* out of the office but somehow they could run my blood today... anyway, the nurse is going to email him to see if he wants me to come in one more time for a fourth beta.
breathing a small sigh of relief today and putting the pee sticks away. thank you so much for your unwavering support. it meant a lot when i was at my lowest points and pulled me out of my funk.

@more14 & @ASabelko hopefully, your transfers went well. Happy PUPO.
Betas didnt go as well as expected!! Completely, disappointed! Currently, numb, slightly lost... I have another 1.5 hrs of work so just trying to finish the day in zombie mode! IF sucks!
@mrsyng oh no, i totally understand that your brain must be spiraling now. i won't tell you to stay of dr. google b/c i don't have any self-restraint either. i know the next 1.5 days are going to be killer until your friday beta, so just know that we're all empathizing with your wait. feel what you've got to feel; we're here to listen.
ETA: congrats on your promotion! hope that brings other joys to your life too.
@mrsyng I'm so so sorry to hear. I'm sure you didn't expect that, and I'm so sorry you may have to go through this again. I know the next 2 days are going to be torture. Congratulations on the job promotion - it is no small feat to achieve that while having all of this going on - so you should be very proud of yourself on that front. Can you take the next 2 days off work to have the time to yourself? Or maybe you'd feel better with the distraction - whichever helps you. And - I wouldn't even call that a rant! If it'll help you - you come back here and rant all over us! Whatever you want to say is ok. We're here for you

Thanks ladies for all your kind words and thoughts. I cried and googled all day yesterday. It helped pass the time but other than that I couldn’t find any good responses to my betas. I thought about staying home today and Friday but I couldn’t rationalize how it would help either since I wouldn’t have much of a distraction and google really isn’t my friend at this time. I may call out Friday, if I feel the need to. Will update with next beta...
@mrsyng so sorry you're going through this! I hope tomorrow gives you some relief from the stress - whichever way the test goes. Either way, we're here for you!
AFM
I was feeling fine after the transfer but sometime afternoon I started to feel a bit iffy. Thankfully I had a friend come over to help and today I feel like myself again.
Oh God, I forgot how frustrating and nerve wracking the 2ww is!! I thought I will be able to hold it together for 4-5 days but NOPE. It's only been ONE day and my brain is already going in circles.
@ASabelko Congrats on being PUPO - glad everything went smoothly
@more14 Yup, I hear you. I thought I'd be ok for a few days too, but it's like as soon as the post-transfer happy feeling wears off, we're straight into anxiety mode. Honestly, I'd advise to try to take it 2 days at a time - so what have you got planned for the weekend? You need to do something!! Get through the weekend and then plan what you'll do before Wednesday. The what you'll do before Friday etc. I find time passes quicker when I have 2-3 day plans rather than thinking in single days...
Afm, I'm trying to suppress my anxiety but it's not easy at this stage. As of today I'm 8dpt5dt and so far I have resisted the pee-sticks. I'm very tempted to take one tomorrow but I'm trying so hard to make myself wait until Monday. A result tomorrow won't actually help - if it's negative, it is still inconclusive and if it's positive I won't trust it at this stage. I've seen too many of you wonderful ladies get inaccurate or misleading results from these tests. I also like to be in control - and I think the only thing I can control right now is to actually Not take one. If I'm being brutally honest, I don't think this took this time. I know I have no evidence of that, but I've had no food cravings and my energy is actually back up again (last time I was literally falling asleep on trains). I have mild almost pre-period style cramps, but I've had them since before transfer (I think it might be the progesterone??) so I'm trying not to look into them too much. Anyway, if it is negative, I'm quite happy to stay away from that result until after the weekend and if it's positive then it'll still be positive on Monday. Big shout out to all the other TWW ladies - this ain't fun!!!

@roisis I hear you on not wanting to test — I have no willpower and cause myself undue anxiety by testing but if I didn’t test I’m not sure I’d be less anxious. Do what’s best for you!! And as for symptoms, they’re not always indiciative or anything.
Today is my first beta at 9dp5dt. The wait is excruciating. I have been POAS everyday like a lunatic. My husband keeps asking why I keep doing this to myself. He tells me that he obviously sees the progression. He doesn't understand the importance of the numbers I guess. I just hope I can make it till 1130 this morning. Thank for everyone's support.

AFM
I was feeling fine after the transfer but sometime afternoon I started to feel a bit iffy. Thankfully I had a friend come over to help and today I feel like myself again.
Beta will be 6/9.
AFM - Thanks for the thoughts and good vibes ladies! Everything went well and I spent the rest of the day hanging out with my hubby
