@LaceyBee522 If Pre-e isn’t a factor, try drinking more water too. It seems counterintuitive, but it’ll help flush things out. I’m sure carrying around double isn’t helping much. Also, compression socks.
Thanks guys! @sabby2 I’m going to call today, if for nothing else than peace of mind before the weekend.
@starla487 Nothing has come up about pre e for me. I did cut back on my water intake after my doc said my amniotic fluid was high. I will go back up today and see if that helps.
@LaceyBee522 I'd reach out to your OB about swelling. I haven't started swelling yet, mainly because it is still cold here (my ankles were super swollen all summer with DS). I know they get worried about extreme swelling. Also, as we get closer to our due dates, make sure you are getting prenatal pedicures - - foot massages can do something to trigger labor.
Hmm, then I’d agree with calling. Since I’m a Pre-e risk myself, I’m always worried about folks who suddenly get a symptom that I’ve been told to be wary of. That kind of sudden swelling is worth just mentioning.
Thanks guys! I just talked to my OB's office and they want me to go get my blood pressure checked. The office isn't close to me, so I'm just going to go to the pharmacy.
since last night I've been getting these quick pinches/twinges way down behind my pubic bone. Not baby headbutts to the cervic/bladder, but quick pinches. normal? please say yes?
he's always been super low, but the past few evenings he's been more uncomfortable down there so cue paranoia.

+1 to drinking lots of water. Also limiting salt/sodium. I don't get bad swelling but I notice a difference in my water retention based on my salt and water intake.
@marcus7676 I tried to pay more attention when it happened again, eh I wouldn't say pinchy fingers. but I went against my better judgment and googled. Could be how the baby is sitting.. on a nerve or something. it is in the same spot over and over atleast, so maybe. I just don't like that its a quick pinch that keeps happening.

@catlady1215 I was getting lightening pains at the front of my pubic bone. My OB told me to do the yoga poses cat / cow to try to shift the baby off the nerve it may have been sitting on. It seemed to help. Maybe try that?
Hmm. The nurse just asked if I was having contractions. I said no, I don't feel anything. She said they're coming every two to three minutes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@LaceyBee522 I’m obv not a doctor, but I have heard sometimes those things confuse movement with contractions... i mean, obv contractions are a possibility, but just saying.
They moved me to a room and I’m in a bed now. Still monitoring. They also took a couple of cultures and blood work. Did an US and babies are moving like crazy. Checked cervix and it is still long and closed. The on call OB is in the OR, so just waiting for him to get out and test results in an hour.
@LaceyBee522 that sounds like positive news about your cervix. I'm glad it sounds like they're being very thorough. Good vibes still heading your way!!

@LaceyBee522 When I was at LandD for DD around 17 weeks, they came rushing in and was like “you’re having contractions pretty regularly.” I was so confused because I didn’t feel anything. I then would stare at the monitor and when I saw one start I focused on my belly and only then I noticed. The body is weird. Pregnancy is weird. FX results come back good!!

AFM, blood pressure is elevated, so I'm heading in to get retested and monitored. We'll figure out what's going on.

@doxiemoxie212 the toco can detect movement but the monitoring strips definitely look a certain way when there's actual contractions.
