FYI: Looks like Toys R Us and Babies R Us May close all of their stores.
Must be why so much of their stuff is "out of stock" with no known restock date. Good thing I'm going this weekend to use my last 25% off coupon. Pretty sure I'm just going to get an Ikea Hemnes and make it a dresser/changing station, as it's cheaper and looks better constructed than any of the nursery dressers left in stock at BRU, so maybe I'll look at a rocking chair or something else.
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but does anyone here do Le Tote for maternity clothes? I'm wondering if it's worth trying. I did Stitch Fix and didn't like it, but curious about Le Tote.
So took the day off to get our new oven and microwave delivered. Oven is in! Microwave came dented though so I refused delivery and am going to have to reschedule a new delivery date. Ugh!
I am so bummed I am meeting my friend for lunch and she picked this place i have never been to. I checked out the menu and it is all healthy stuff and vegan food. Which is fine but I was really in the mood for greasy bad for me food. I might just say I am not hungry when I get there and stop at Arby's on the way back to my office!
@lalala2004 the Babies R Us by us is closing in April and it's on my to-do list to go there in the next week or 2 and see if I can't score some deals on a few things!
@calimom2524 - cute! Are you using the same one for CFS?
Haha no. 3 years ago the Tula world was insane, lots of buying and selling and trading. I don't think I had that one very long before I traded for another. I had a problem.
So....something happened yesterday that really bothered me. I want to bring it up but don't want to in the public forum. If I create a private board would a few of you want to join/be invited solely for the purpose of this one discussion? It's not an attempt to move our group to a private group, I'm just looking for advice or help. The group would be closed afterward.
@juliebird6 my little sister did during her third trimester for work attire, she liked it!
@coffeecocktailsandcake - I'd be in for that if you'd want me (I have no idea how private boards work). Was it something on this board or in your IRL? Hope everything is ok
I guess I'd say both? Everything is OK, I should have said that! No one worry. Ok, give me a few minutes to figure out opening up a private board, I've never done that. Also, no one on here insulted me or anything like that, it's not drama-ish.
@lolog531 I stopped at my “local” store (really over an hour away, but closest one to me), and they were sold out of almost everything. The only real baby stuff they had left was clothes and baby food/formula. That was about 2 weeks after their sales started, and they’re closing in April.
@juliebird6 I'm behind today, but YES! I've done LeTote for both pregnancies! It helps me buy less maternity clothes because I can pick out what I want based on my schedule for that week. And I can change sizing/fit as my pregnancy progresses.
@livinthesunnylife Have you actually bought any of the pieces that you got in your totes? When I did stitch fix, I felt obligated to buy stuff because I had already spent the $20 to get the box, but most of the clothes they sent were much more expensive than something I would pick in the stores. Just don't want to get myself into another subscription service like that.

Not sure how many people you are looking for but happy to try to help, depending what it is.
@juliebird6 Ok....revealing my shopping weakness... I'm a member of both Stitch Fix and Le Tote. They are very different. With LeTote you wear the clothes. And there isn't a styling fee that you pay for each box. And you get another tote as fast as you ship your stuff back. So like right now I make sure to ship my stuff back really fast and style my next tote and I usually wear 3 shirts a week that are LeTote (4 boxes/month). Since there isn't a styling fee there's not that feeling of 'obligation' to buy anything and I look at it more like a rental service. I don't buy any of the maternity stuff- cause maternity is so short term! I sometimes buy the jewelry or accessories. When I did the normal boxes I bought more stuff.
I agree with Stitch Fix you feel more need to buy something since that $20 is wasted otherwise. But that's only once per month so I don't mind buying one new piece of clothing a month.
@livinthesunnylife Ah, okay. I guess I thought there was a fee for Le Tote too but maybe I just didn't read far enough into their site. You're definitely making me want to try it!! I'm so tired of all the same old stuff.
yea the group isn't working - I got the invite via inbox box but there's no link to join, and then when I click it in groups it asks me why I want to join and is then rejecting because of a duplication error or something

@coffeecocktailsandcake The group isn't working for me either. I didn't get a link and I actually can't even find the group at all to try to join manually. Halp.
@juliebird6 I'll PM you the link to get a free Tote if you want to try it. If anyone else is interested I think I have a couple more on my account. I've been a member for an embarrassingly long time.
I do stitch fix in my normal life but have put things on hold for maternity time because I can't justify their prices on maternity clothes. I did one box at the start of things I can still wear post baby but now I am too big.
Aaahhhh I don't know what I'm doing! Lol! I'm always on mobile, so I made a special desktop session happen during my son's nap to type out this long post in the private group! I have to head to a Drs appt in a little bit, I'll come back and see if the pm worked, etc.
They found a soft marker for Trisomy 21 on baby girl's heart at the ultrasound (a bright spot). Apparently because I had the Panorama and it came back low risk for Trisomy 21, they can rule it out like greater than 99%, so there is no follow up required. I still can't help but be shaken - thank goodness I did Panorama or I would be full-on freaking out right now.
I just got a maternity stitch fix. All of the shirts are $54, there is a dress for $58 and pants for $88. Insane. I won't pay those prices and they will all be returned, even though I do really like one of the shirts and the dress (and really the dress isn't crazy expensive). I also had a free styling fee so I am not out anything.

Hugs!! Echogenic Cardic Focus, right?? My son had that too at his A/S, we went for a level 2 U/S and it was still there so we did the Harmony Test and we came back low risk. So if you like, we did it the opposite way to you! I know I know I know this is easier said than done but please do not stress out. These things are so so common, far more common than you'd ever think and as a stand alone issue it really is not something to worry about. I did a ton of reading online after our son's was found, I can try find the articles/studies for you if you like!
@alinafed - oh my, that must have been so scary to hear! So no follow up, but will they do another ultrasound later to see if the bright spot is there?

but just FYI you can PM people too and more than one at a time if it is easier than setting up a whole group
