Re: Introductions
Hi! Honestly can’t believe I’m (cautiously) joining this BMB...story in spoiler, TW** loss mentioned and it’s a little lengthy!
EDD Oct 12 or 13. DH and I have been trying for about 7 months. We have a DD who just turned 2 and wanted one more child to complete our family of 4. We live in the Midwest and enjoy being outside as much as possible.
I was a member of Jan16 although I mostly lurked. If I’m fortunate enough to stick around I plan on being a lot more active than I was with DD.
I have been on the TTGP boards since July/August and let me tell you those ladies are awesome!! I have learned so much from all of them and the support they have given me has been amazing! I’m so excited to be joining some recent grads here
My name is Laurabeth, I'm a SAHM to a daughter who just turned 1. I was pretty active on my Feb 17 BMB, so I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you wonderful ladies as well!
I'll be 29 on Sunday and my DH is 31. We live a little north of Atlanta. We were NTNP and I got a squinter yesterday, tested again this morning and it was definitely a positive test. My daughter was planned with temping and charting, so I'm still a little in shock right now. We always wanted another, but just not quite this soon!
ETA- Due date is around 10/27 based on LMP so I'll be one of the ones bringing up the caboose of the group!
Im 5 weeks 4 days according to all my calculations!
Im from Ireland. My husband and i have been together for 9 years. Married last year. We are both in our early 30s. We started trying in November so very surprised and happy it has happened so quickly for us.
I'm unbelievably tired and my boobs are killing me. No nausea yet but I have a bad stomach the best of times so I'm nervous. Im so afraid in general of every little pain I feel. We haven't told anyone yet. Will be team green!
Meeting my doctor tomorrow for first visit.
Expected due date is 15th Oct.
My name is Julia and I am 36 and my DH is 33. I am a full time Registered Nurse (RN) and a health & fitness coach. My husband is also a RN. We live in WA.
We have been TTC for nine long years. We tried 3 (failed) rounds of Clomid before finding out we have male infertility factor. I also had huge fibroids (had an open myomectomy in '16) and endometriosis, but my OB/GYN said my tubes were clear and neither the fibroids or endo should have contributed to our infertility.
We did 3 rounds of IVF through 2017. That was pretty draining physically, emotionally and financially. Our last 5D FET in Dec resulted in the first BFP I have ever seen. I am currently 6w 1d. While I am excited and hopeful, I honestly have a lot of anxiety that something will go wrong (I have a 9 yr track record of failures, after all. Just waiting for the shoe to drop). But I am reminding myself daily to enjoy every step of this journey, I have never gotten this far, after all!
Enjoyed reading everyone's intros :-). October will be a magical month!
Congrats to everyone here
I had a CP earlier this year, so I'm not sure on a due date, but late October for sure. Hoping this little one sticks!
Hi I’m Angelina from Reading, England where I live with my DH & beautiful DD (aged 1 1/2)
I received my BFP very early at around 4 weeks and excited to be giving our daughter sibling.
I have had some previous pregnancy complications so have a viability scan booked for Monday which I’m both excited and nervous about. I have been feeling nauseous, bloated and having lots of gas but it will be real to me once I see that little bean is positioned exactly as supposed to with a strong heartbeat!
I was active in the SEPT 16 BMB so looking forward to being just as active in this one and getting to know everyone
I am a SAHM living in socal . DH and I are in our early 30's.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
I'm FINALLY pregnant with my first child right now. Wow. It's so weird to say that. Husband and I have been trying to conceive for over 9 long years. I have PCOS and endo and had 2 surgeries, 9 or 10 IUIs (I lost count...) using Clomid, Femara, Injectables, and combos of those. We finally did IVF in July of last year. We had 3 failed FETs following IVF and we finally got a positive on this last, 4th, FET! We put in 2 embryos (4AB and 4BA) and at least one took.
My first beta at 9dp5dt was only 27 but two days later it jumped to 101. Now I'm just waiting for my first sonogram on the 26th to make sure everything is good. This is harder than any 2WW I've ever been through!
Anyway, my EDD based on transfer is October 18th. I am so excited to be here!! AHH!!!
I got a BFP yesterday, 5 to be exact super early at like 3w2d I even turned a digital today and am in complete shock. This will be our 3rd and I’m 35 so I was nervous about having a hard time being “ama” but it looks like it’s happening. According to LMP I’m due 10/31, but I’ve had 2 previous c sections so it will probably be a little earlier. I’m excited to get to know everyone!
Got our BFP yesterday. This will be baby #2. Due 10/23 according to google. Our DS is 13 months (shout out to my fellow D16 mamas
DS #2: 5/2014
MMC 2/2018
I am expecting my 2nd LO, EDD is 10/19. I have one DS who is a D15 baby (glad to see some fellow D15ers here).
A bit about myself, I live in Ottawa, Canada, I love reading, baking and spending time with my DH, DS and our chocolate lab fur baby, Charlie.
I am am really looking forward to getting to know you ladies.
My husband and I live in Virginia with our 1 year old Scottish Terrier. I am a high school English teacher. I got my BFP on February 8th.
I had a missed miscarriage at 8 + 5 in December that left us devastated, so we are cautiously excited about this time. The doctors had me come in last Tues and Thurs for beta blood work (739 to 1432, which we were told was normal). They want me back on the 27th for an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I think I am much more aware this time that it is truly day by day, moment by moment, and I am grateful for each moment that goes by healthily.
I look forward to getting to know everyone here. Anything that makes this all feel less isolating is worth so much.
Good luck and sticky vibes to all!!!
*trigger warning - loss mentioned*
I just got my BFP, a year and two months after losing my daughter Aya at 31 weeks. My husband and I haven’t been trying to get pregnant, and actually I wasn’t planning to get pregnant until I fulfilled my goal of losing 30 pounds. I’m currently 20 pounds down, but I guess that’s over haha.
I’ve got to say, I’m really nervous. I haven’t even told DH yet. I want to confirm my positive with a clinic before I do. My last pregnancy ended in stillbirth due to me having preeclampsia and gestational diabetes that my doctor told me NOTHING about. My last visit before it happened, (I found this out months after I gave birth) my blood sugar was well over 400. My doctor said nothing. And it cost me my child.
My last pregnancy wasn’t the easiest by any means, but I also wasn’t healthy at all at the time. Now that I know better, I will do better. This time I’m eating completely differently, and I’ve been exercising regularly for six months. I’m in a much clearer mindset now, and I hope I can avoid the problems that plagued me before.
I look forward to getting to know everyone. Good luck!
my name is Lacey and I am expecting Baby #4. Just found out today
Had a chemical last month at 4w1d but the line never got dark. This time they're changing immediately and been super dark, so I'm optimistic maybe this one will stick! But we've not been TTC for very long and I have time, so I'm at peace if this one too had 4 heads or something.
If anyone else is in demanding male dominated professions (I'm BigLaw, M&A specialist (ECB)) and looking to stay practicing, I would love advice/support on how the hell we're supposed to do this, esp. without caffeine. I absolutely love the insanity of what I do, and my DH's dream job is basically to be a homemaker for the entire block, so it works well except for the part where I'm the one who has to grow the human. (I also tend toward scarcasm. I'm seriously excited, really, I swear!)
I also offer myself up for support specifically in an area that may not get as much play in the press or mommy blogs (not that I really know if it does, I just feel like it doesn't): science-minded women of faith. I know this is not the discussion board in which to go into this, so I simply offer myself up as a resource if anyone is looking for dialogue or sounding board or support in balancing and reconciling scientific facts with the mysteries and teachings of our faiths (of any variety, although I'm specifically Catholic, but the struggles are not limited to Christianity alone of course), as we prepare for motherhood. Someone who has both doctor's voice and faith's voice in her head and does not blindly follow either. (I hope that was diplomatic enough?)
I'm 32- going to be 33 when I deliver. DH is about to be 31, and we live in NYC. I'm a visual merchandiser and he's a university track coach. Work hasn't been too bad with the pregnancy, but I also know it's early. I'm on my feet 8hours a day and I know once I'm bigger it will be tough.
Just praying to God for healthy pregnancy and ease of my fears and anxiety as I wait for my first OB appt. Excited to get to know you other ladies and share in our experiences!
Just got my BFP today after 26 months of TTC! I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year. We finally did IVF and had our fresh transfer last Saturday and beta today confirmed pregnancy. EDD is 10/29.
I'm a STM with a 3 1/2 year old DD. DH and I both grew up in NY but we moved to NC about 2 1/2 years ago. We have two fur babies also.
I'm super excited to be here and still in a bit of shock!!

Based off of LMP I’m due 10/25... excited/optimistic but obviously give my history I’m terrified. To make things even more stressful I got my BFP on Tuesday 2/13 and we left on our international vacation on Thursday 2/15. I was able to get in to see my doctor on Tuesday and they tested my hcg - before my flight on Thursday I went in again and then raced to the airport to catch my flight. I found out later that day on the plane via email from my doctor that my numbers “are going up well” so that’s a good sign. I didn’t want to bother asking what they were because I know I would spend hours over analyzing them! We get back to the states on Sunday so I’m scheduled to go next week to see if everything is progressing in the right direction. *fingers crossed!*
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
I just found out that we are expecting #2! EDD is October 28. I ended up in a section with our first (she's been stubborn since before she was born - all that stopped us from a vaginal birth was a slightly tilted head that she wouldn't adjust), so if I go the section route he/she will probably come a little early.
A little about me - both my husband and I are 29 - I'll turn 30 a week or two before baby is born. We live in Eastern Canada with out 1.5 year old daughter and goofy golden doodle!
I was technically part of Sept16 BMB but was mostly a lurker; hoping to be more involved this time.
