I think I've had my first experience with lightening crotch. I've always heard of this, but never had anything that sounds similar. This is such an active baby that I am guessing that why I get random shooting pains when she really gets aggressive. That shit can take your breath away.
Edit UO I hate the word crotch, but that's all I've heard it called. Just a gross sounding word to me.
@baybeesunflower@nancysimp@mmom3 I had my platelets tested again yesterday and they are up 24 points from my last test at 25 weeks (I'm 35 weeks now). I guess it's possible to go up?
Yes, mine went up as well, 4 weeks ago. Just had another work up done to see where it is now. Hoping it's stayed the same.
Me too. Mostly my ankles are swollen, but my hands just a little bit, too.
Also the pelvic girdle pain is back with a vengence. I got a cramp in my calf in the early morning and in my panic to get out of bed and stand on it, I did something to trigger back and hip/pelvic pain. yippie.
So at night (esp on weekends when I'm full time chasing my 2 year old) I have bad cramps/contractions from 6 to 9. I'm guessing it's from being tired on my feet all day but is anyone else experiencing this?
@amylonghorn@fatstagnation I’m getting really swollen. Mostly carpal tunnel, but some new ankle swelling too. The hands are bothering me waaaay more though.
@bravoandprosecco Yes! My uterus gets really angry at me when I walk more than 5 minutes or am on my feet too long. I talked about it with preterm labor nurses and they all said when that happens to try to stop what you’re doing, pee, drink a ton of water, monitor, and make sure it goes away... not sure you can manage that with a toddler, but if you are able to lighten the activity in those hours it’s proabbly a good idea.
Yesterday my 2yo DS had an awful stomach bug, he’s still dealing with it. And now I have it too. I can’t explain how scared I am of this making me get dehydrated and go into preterm labor. Omggg.

@crossfitbabybump@chasingroygbiv I've been getting pelvic pressure too. It ebbs and flows a bit, but is worst at the end of the day, so I assume it's the weight of the baby plus slowed digestion. It feels like having a rock in my pelvis.
Was up all night with a stomach virus. Finally feeling better now but super exhausted since I didn't get any sleep, yet somehow I can't fall asleep now. I guess it wasn't in the cards for me to go the whole pregnancy without getting sick at least once.
Thank you all so much!! And @sarahhedger7 I totally feel your pain. I’ve been so lucky so far with all the illnesses going around and this nasty version of the stomach virus hits me and knooooocks me out! Ugh. I hope we’re both better soon.
Has anyone been told recently they have low normal amniotic fluid? MFM told me to drink like crazy these last few weeks. Didn't seem too worried about it. But it makes me think there could be a small leak?! This is what I get for Googling this as soon as he told me.
Nervous!!! Tomorrow is my first growth scan since finding out I have a partial placenta abruption and they will be rechecking my fluid levels. My fluid was 6.4 last week and I’ve been drinking a ton of water. Fingers crossed baby is thriving and my fluid is above 5!!!

There are other reasons for low fluid. Kidney function of the baby and dehydration by you. The other thing is if it is a small leak you can still make more fluid and baby can be fine. If it's close to normal I wouldn't really be concerned. Just drink water.
@DDRRT1982 it's always the easiest thing to do that's best, right MFM is so nonchalant, I never know if I need to be more concerned. And Dr. Google is just way too generous with the info.

I was told this last week. I spent the week drinking a ton of water. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to recheck.
So does anyone else have a bump that is sore to touch? I get almost pains when he is turning around in there and it hurts if you put any kind of pressure on my bump in the middle or bottom... I don’t remember this with my first
@mdfarmchick - I do, in certain areas. My girl seems to like to trust fall forward, leaning all of her weight out of my bump. When she's doing that and I touch it, it can feel a little sensitive.
@mdfarmchick - yes for sure! or when DH tries to touch, sometimes it's tender
I've been having some mild period like cramps and backaches. Sorry TMI but lady parts down there are feeling much different lately. It feels so heavy and now it's to where I cannot walk without winching or holding my belly up. The pressure is so intense!
I have bursitis and impingement in my left shoulder and it is soooo painful. I'm about to start PT but I need relief like now. l see the doctor tomorrow but I bet I can't have anything that could help.

Just an update...I am now 34 weeks and still have ankles. Definitely better than last pregnancy even though I have gained 30lbs already. I would much rather deal with extra padding after the baby than swelling. I was miserable at the end of Jack's pregnancy.
muggle621 they might offer a steroid shot in the joint. They gave me intravenous steriods for the bronchitis when I went to the ER and then steroid pills after. Everyone kept reassuring me "You are literally breathing for two, this is important," so I just went with what they said. (I'm finally better this week, btw!!!) But yeah, you can't have NSAIDs, which they would probably do normally. Wish I could say something more comforting that "hang in there." I hope the PT helps!
DDRRT1982 I love your update. I still have ankles at 32 weeks, but they are a bit swollen some days.
@crossfitbabybump oof. thinking of you. Things are def getting heavy.
Not sure if this is a symptom, but last night I almost peed the bed because this little girl stretched out so aggressively that she definitely hit my bladder. It was close. So many new experiences this time around, LOL. My bladder isn't supper strong anyways, so I gotta put that waterproof mattress protector on sooner than later in the event she gets strong enough to be successful in making me pee myself when I am sleeping. Please God, let me not pee myself at work.
@DDRRT1982 - I dreamt last night I was peeing and I woke up almost ready to pee my pant! Little one was right there pushing on my bladder.. time to put those protectors down for sure! lol
If I don’t pee like... the instant I feel like I might have to, I get some wild BH. As in, uncomfortable, lasts for a good 2-3 minutes straight, craziness. Like whoa, ok, ok, I’ll go! Also, have I mentioned my ribs are done? No? Well, they are.
@chasingroygbiv Yup, me too. It'll be the middle of the night and I won't even feel the urge to pee, but I'll get the BH very intensely. Super annoying.
Re: January Symptoms
@chasingroygbiv - like a tiny human is trying to claw its way out of my vagina...
it's more consistent when I'm standing.. very uncomfortable. almost feels like I need to take a huge poop but I don't...
