Just found out I have symphysis pubis dysfunction "SPD". So there's a name for why putting on my socks and underwear in the morning and going up stairs is excruciating. Unfortunately, there's not really anything I can do to fix it, just avoid the things that cause me pain, and start wearing a maternity belt. Bleh.
@sarahhedger7 So sorry to hear you have this! Look on Youtube for physiotherapy for PSD. The British seem to think it can be improved with exercises. I found some that worked for me when I was having pain. Also you might try a chiropractor. My midwife had the same attitude as yours - well that's pregnancy - but you don't have to have pain that bad!
I’m pretty sure baby has a knife inside of me and is stabbing the heck out of my cervix. Very painful pinching/stabbing pain randomly throughout the day.
Im paranoid that with my complete Placenta Previa it is going to lead to bleeding, but luckily nothing so far.
Well ladies, I was taken to the hospital this morning with very painful contractions. They are trying to stop them at the moment with fluids. I have 6 weeks to go. Little bit needs to stay put!
Oh no @crossfitbabybump!!! Thinking of you and keep us updated if possible. FWIW I was born 6 weeks early and I'm awesome but I hope it doesn't come to that!

@crossfitbabybump Good luck! While you're there, you should ask who saw that print when ordering hospital gowns and said, "This is the one!" (Just kidding - trying to add a little humor to an otherwise stressful situation.)
Thank you ladies! Just got discharged to go home. They slowed the contractions down. No dilation so baby is staying put. They’re not sure what is causing them as my urine came back fine and I’m plenty hydrated. Bed rest and fluids for me for now and if they come back or get worse, I’m supposed to go get checked again. The OB was awesome and made me feel very relaxed! The back pain has subsided too. Thank goodness, that was scary. I wasn’t prepared for that this morning at all!
So my primary care doc told me I could take robbituson for my cough and Sudafed for congestion but I'm still hesitant! I'm scared of everything but so miserable with this cold/cough. Have you guys got the ok to use those meds? Why am I so paraniod!
@bravoandprosecco I took just the regular short term sudafed a couple of times while pregnant with DD1. I’m really hesitant about using meds as well, but I was desperate for relief. It’s on my approved meds sheet. If you need it, take some! Just don’t take the 12 hour version.
@bravoandprosecco I was given the OK for those too and I hesitated but eventually did take a child dose of Sudafed 3-4 times so I could sleep (can’t sleep while mouth breathing). I felt so much better. I got to the point where I figured not sleeping after nights and nights was delaying my healing process. I don’t regret it — it helped a lot. I took menthol cough drops and tons of honey, warm and cold beverages instead of the robitussin though just because I didn’t want to take too much at once. It probably would have been fine to take both but the cough drops seemed to work ok enough to help me sleep.
@vflux33 exactly my problem i can't sleep bc I can't mouth breath!!! It's day 5 and I'm not getting any better and I do think it's bc I can't sleep, will try the meds, I'm desperate, thank you for the encouragement I needed it!
@crossfitbabybump from reading some of your posts, you're probably more prepared than most lol but tell her we are not ready for her here in the outside quite yet
@sarahhedger7 SPD sounds terrible, but hopefully the maternity belt helps! And I'm glad you got answers. Some ladies just try to deal, but it's good you know what's going on with your body.
AFM: BH need to stop like yesterday. Heartburn is terrible. Insomnia is making me cranky. I feel about 90 years old when I go from lying to sitting to standing. Otherwise I'm greeeat!
Whoops, commented on the old symptoms thread, sorry guys!
Anyway, this constipation is getting out of control. It’s making me so, so nauseated. Add in the indigestion every night when I lay down. Ick. Hence the reason I’m here on TB at 3 am!
My view currently. Had a routine appointment this morning with a BPP, Emma refused to practice breathing so they put me on the monitor and are watching me because I’m having contractions. Not sure what’s gonna happen from here but DH is on his way here.
@crossfitbabybump I'm glad you got sprung and baby girl is staying put!!
@bravoandprosecco I'm right there with you on the paranoia!!! I am taking Robitussin for a cough and it only sort of works for me. I hope the meds work better for you!
@BrittnieMariee Keep us posted!! T&P everything is ok and Emma was just being stubborn.

Thank you all so much! They want me to go get some lunch and come back for another NST to see if she’ll move around more and my contractions will stop after. Luckily DH came to get DS and they’re gonna head home for nap time
@slr1229@ashleyf911 Yes me too! It’s even hurting when I just sit up. Worst is probably when I’m getting out of bed in the morning. I read somewhere that you should power through it instead of getting a hand when sitting or standing in order to keep those muscles working and lower the chances of pelvic floor problems and separation.

AFM, heartburn and indigestion are at it full force this week.
Oh no! Good luck. Thinking of you.
I also agree with @missnc77... that gown was pretty horrible!
Positive on maternity belt is that it keeps my stretch pants from riding down. Good luck!

Also starting to notice an increase in BH.
