@jsnakehole Just scrap it. I've had to do that with my kids when they make me angry - and I teach high school.
I'm really hoping to participate in HDBD next week! I am def thicker around the middle - but still think it's more due to ice cream than anything else.
I’m officially off grocery shopping duty until I feel better. Kudos to all you ladies that had to deal with this bs with other pregnancies as well. I gagged through the whole store, but was ok, and then as soon as I brought all the groceries upstairs I had to run to the bathroom to dry heave for a good 20 minutes. Oi vey. So miserable but at least the big ones now at school and the little one is down for a nap so I’m going to curl up in bed with my saltines and Netflix.
@cthulu Do any of your stores in the area have online ordering and you just go pick it up? The Walmart/Sam's Clubs/Meijer are all doing it here. Sadly none in my immediate vicinity, but it might be worth looking into.
Thanks everyone for the sweet words for DS - he's got a little eye infection, nothing some antibiotics won't clear up. But the flu left him with a bit of an ear infection as well so he'll be on oral meds for that. One one hand I'm bummed that he's feeling so crummy but on the other it's like there's a light at the end of the tunnel for this never-ending sickness! Yay!
@westphilly I am with you on the wardrobe! I wear black and gray all the time. Every now and then I'll add a colored top, but I usually have a black vest or sweater on over it. It just makes it easier to get dressed in the morning!
DS had a rough day at school yesterday. Tough time sharing with friends, using his words instead of whining, getting upset quickly.... all completely normal 2.5 year old behavior, but it's hard getting notes home like we did yesterday. We try really hard to work with him on it all, but some days I just feel defeated. We had a long talk when we got home and he snuggled me and said "I'm sorry mama, I'll share" in the sweetest voice. Moments like that make me think maybe I'm doing something right! FX we have a better report today!
@lolog531 The twos are so hard. DS is only 1 month into the twos, but man I feel you already. The whining exhausts me and the tantrums are terrible. Stick with it. It sounds like you're doing everything right (following through and talking to him in a calm and constructive way). I keep telling myself this is normal behavior and a sign of necessary cognitive development. I also try to remind myself that the days of him snuggling into me won't last forever, so I take the good with the bad.
So since it's not entertaining enough in here this week I started watching This is Us. I'm on episode 9. Thanks for this addiction, whoever mentioned it.

Lol I'm the same way. Where is everyone?! Keep me entertained haha. This is Us is brilliant. I used to hardly ever cry but now with these damn hormones I cry every episode. I'm currently bingeing the rest of The Magicians while I'm "working." I'm almost done with Season 2.
Yes! It's so quiet around here... I have a HUGE project kicking off tomorrow that I really should be prepping for but I haven't started. Meh. Never watched This is Us - anything that's geared towards making you cry is just not going to make my watch list.
Eh, I'm not crying. It's really the fascinating interweaving of the story and the fact that the timing jumps all over that makes me want to figure out the pieces I'm missing. But I'm a puzzle-solving type.
Actually in all of season 1 I only cried twice and it was because it was so real and raw and hit me in the feels. I only cry now because of the hormones, but to be fair, I'm crying at everything.
Yes to the crying over nothing! DH and I left for work this morning and I didn't pet my dog goodbye. She was asleep on the couch and I'm sure she didn't notice but I cried at my desk when I realized. Sigh. Then last night DS was watching Bubble Guppies and one of the Guppies became a big sister and I cried.
@mrsbubbles-2 I'm with you on the shows that make you cry. I can't watch anything too emotional or serious - I need to watch TV to escape and get away from the sad/serious stuff in life. I either do sci-fi/fantasy or comedy.
I watched This is Us for like - 2 or 3 episodes? Then I realized it wasn't for me.
@hezzer78 I'm super picky with sitcoms too! They have to be clever - if it's just recycled storylines that you see in every single other tv show about 30-somethings I'm out. DH started watching the Mindy Project and I just couldn't - it was so predictable.
This Is Us gets me every damn time! I got hooked season 1 and tears are just typical when I watch it, even more so now with the hormones. We are watching last night's episode tonight and I know I will probably be a mess based on what I've seen here and in my last BMB Fb group!
The other show that got me emotional was Parenthood. I loved how real the show seemed most episodes and I loved the characters. I binge watched all 6 seasons for when I was on maternity leave with DS. I don't advise that as my hormones were out of control and I would sit there with my sleeping baby like "don't ever grow up" while sobbing.
Somehow I'm in a box? So weird. I just got the Outlook calendar reminder that I have 2 conference calls this afternoon. Snoooooooze fest. Guess I'll be knitting while half listening.
@lolog531 I will put that on the list next! Passing time while pregnant is really hard for me. I spent my last pregnancy shopping but I don't need anything this time. So I'm watching shows.
Parenthood was amazing! I never watched it until it was on Netflix and then I couldn't stop. I think I at least teared up every episode. I miss that show!
@calimom2524 I LOVE the magicians. I keep telling DH to watch it but he hasn’t gotten around to it. I was staying up late just to rewatch season 1 again before I started season 2. Absolutely obsessed haha.
Hey ladies! Sorry I've been MIA, things got crazy here for a few days. Anyone care to catch me up on anything exciting I missed? I skimmed through, and it sounds like things were pretty quiet.

I've been keeping up today, bit don't have much to add. Everything is quiet and boring here. I did get my first pair of maternity jeans delivered today, and I'm surprised at how well they fit. I'll be living in these for a while. I should fold and put away laundry, but I'm lacking motivation. I should also figure out a dinner plan. DH doesn't get home until 10pm, but I'm getting hungry now. What is quick, cheap, and easy?

So sleep deprived that I just told someone that I was due in October. They looked at me like "did you get pregnant yesterday?!" Speech and math are hard.
I went with lemon pepper chicken and rice. I usually do this in the slow cooker, but I tried it in the oven because of time. It worked ok, but slow cooked is better.

I’m so tired of DS being sick. Everytime I think he’s starting to get better his fever spikes. It’s so sad. I hate when Little’s are sick
